The bar is best to be visited from 4-6pm. Not only you will get there at happy hour, meaning a selection of perfectly crafted cocktails for £7 each, you will not have to queue up for a place at the bar, as you will in the evening. The bar is under ground and is very intimate and fashionable, when not crowded.

Bar très sympathique avec de bons cocktails et de la bonne musique. Service un peu lent mais compense par des cocktails offerts par la maison:)

Best use of space... Drawing drinks got noisy as a clan if Americans appeared. Supper in the restaurant was very good. Veal Châteaubriand...a taste sensation. Conditions were cramped. Don't forget your jacket! An experience. And an expensive one.

Mi esposa y yo fuimos al bar de Mark para celebrar mi cumpleaños después de pasar la noche en restaurante en la planta de arriba de HIX. Las bebidas eran excepcionales y caro pero es Londres así que ir! Si quieres hacer una bebida caliente fuera de cerveza en una basura llena la acera, hay un montón de lugares para ir a hacer eso. Yo vivo aquí, así que sé de lo que estoy hablando. Recomiendo el bar de marcas como un lugar para ir a tomar un cóctel si se siente con un espíritu de fiesta.

No hay ambiente. Marks bar has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating and great décor. Just the place to have a couple of cocktails before dinner

Unos amigos y yo visitamos tras las bebidas y la cena en otra parte. Afortunadamente, no necesitamos ningún más bebidas ya que no hay peligro de conseguir cualquier servicio del bar aquí - esperé para un buen 15 minutos antes de abandonar. Esto no fue porque el bar se llena, por lo que pude ver, había cuatro personal detrás de la barra y yo era la única persona esperando por una bebida. We arrived at Hix and waited for about two minutes to be allowed downstairs to Mark's bar. This was mid-week so a lot less busy than the weekend gets. We were given seats at the bar and had a really nice bartender who looked after us for the night. If you aren't eating at Hix you have to buy a snack from the bar, which I think is a bit cheeky particularly as they automatically add a service charge to your bill anyway. Snacks are £3 and above. Drinks are pretty expensive averaging £15 for a cocktail, although you could say that's in line with many of these more exclusive bars in the centre of London. The atmosphere was nice, filled with a lot of late 20 to 40 year olds, with a mixture of after work suit types and those dressed more casual. The door policy means that you're guaranteed a seat which I like. Overall enjoyed it, and worth a visit at least once. Unlikely to go back there for a while. I'd say its a good place for dates though.

Tienen un gran y lista de cócteles ingeniosos ... agradable tener cócteles decentes por camareros adecuados. Su Negroni's una vez fueron de lo mejor que he tenido. The design of the bar is fantastic and creates a lovely feel of relaxation. Cosmetically great however drinks are over priced and staff are disappointingly inconsistent. Not a bad experience but will look elsewhere in the greatest city in the world.

Mark's bar has a really great atmosphere, great drinks, staff are fantastic - super service, particularly James! Very busy so get there early to avoid a queue. Highly recommended!

Bad service from staff with an attitude problem, and over-priced drinks killed the place for me! It has potential but the afternoon we were there they got it all wrong. But I don't think I'll be giving it another chance....there are other exciting places in town to try.

Three of us went here on the friday just gone. The place was busy as could be expected but we managed to get three seats at the bar (the bar is long and wide so there is plenty of space for you to sit without feeling people are standing on your back to order or bartenders mixing the drinks in your face). We took three different strategies with me focusing on the rum-based drinks, my gf on the more fruity ones and our friend on the gin-based. The quality was generally high and particularly the bermudan yacht club and gin punch were great. The menu is very detailed with explanation of the origin of each drink and with prices around GBP 11 per drink it was relatively expensive but good. The interior in the bar is provided by Dunhill and definitely brought some grandiosity to the place. Combined with the fire theatrics used in plenty of the drinks it was well worth the visit. Would recommend for couples, dates and friends.

Conveniently got a seat at the bar. Ordered some cocktails and some bar snacks (which are a must - company policy, not my endorsement.) The bar snacks arrived quickly - crackling and apple sauce - which was tasty. Unfortunately the cocktails never did. Having waited half an hour, I asked a member of the bar staff where our drinks were, gave them another ten minutes and still no drinks arrived. At least when my friend asked for his card back from behind the bar, the waitress looked mortified and let us off paying for the crackling. And on the plus side, the front door to Hix, the restaurant upstairs, is worth walking through. It should be on a castle, has to be 12 ft tall.My experience was very bad; the bar itself could well be good if you manage to get a drink.
