Coffee with my elderly aunt, TW0 weeks in a row we went to M & S for coffee and a little treat. The middle aged man who was on the till unfortunately was there again this week, last week he was so busy looking after his friends getting their tea and there was a girl there to do teas , he also spent time looking at their photos whose real older people waited. Unfortunately I walked in today and he was there again with his grumpy face I went to the first till no one there I thought the girl was behind the coffee machine and he was standing looking at me . I ask him was the girl away he said that till is broken , he hadn’t the decency to say it was broken he is a horrible rude man

Fancied a quick cuppa after shopping, queue was quite long but moved fairly steadily, the cheese scones are a particular favourite, tea was hot and refreshing. Enjoyed.

I have visted the main cafe on a few occasions recently. Last time i was there i had a clear view of a little storage area where the scones where kept. One worker went in to load up a serving container of scones and wore gloves and used a tong. She was followed by another female worker who wasnt wearing gloves and loaded the scones with her bare hands. 10 minutes later this ssme worker was cleaning up with a dust pan and brush and then back to load up more scones bare handed. No washing in between at all. Today the sames worker noticed crumbs on a plate at the serving table and brushed it off with bare hands. Another worker walked past me wearing gloves and just as she passed she wiped her nose with her gloved hand! Yeuch!

Went here for a full breakfast. Wanted poached eggs as my advertised choice and was told there was no poached eggs just scrambled. This is part of a major supermarket which is beside it. How can the cafe be out of eggs when there are shelves full of them? The chef is lazy that’s the problem! Also no soap in toilets. How hygienic!!

Usually go to the deli beside the food hall - it was very busy, but dishes not being cleared so unpleasant. As was the overpowering smell of fish. Went to the coffee dock at the entrance. Again tables not being cleared. Queue was incredibly slow. Staff disorganised. Needed coffee so persisted. When got milk for the coffee this was in a big mug. Inelegant to put it mildly. For a business that hangs its reputation on quality ... you need to think again.

Very very poor service. Two small cold platters ordered. 40mins wait. No cutlery. No apology for the wait- we were clearly forgotten about. Though a number of neighbouring customers also received poor service- dirty tables not cleaned, food forgottten from order despite being spoken to three times. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Plenty of staff on but clearly completely inefficient. Complacency due to lack of serious competition due to ouf of town location.

After shopping in store, we enjoy a coffee in foyer cafe, staff are nice especially the gentleman though wasn't on counter today. My gripe is why no teaspoons available, saw one lady today fishing out a teabag from her takeaway cup with a fork ,given by the counter assistant. My capuccino was lovely and frothy but had to leave most of it in cup as no teaspoons available. Think may have to resort to carrying one in my bag, wooden stick provided is useless, and waste of resources,a teaspoon can be reused.

I visited on a busy Saturday afternoon , the cafe was half empty mainly because the staff at the till were so disorganised and ineffective causing a huge build up of customers blocking access to the food displays. I stood beside a gentleman in the queue who handed over a note to the cashier he questioned his change as he was convinced it was £10 but she insisted he had given her £5. I paid my bill next with a £10 ,she apologised handing me over coins stating she had no £5! She was either dishonest or stupid! The coffee was tepid, the tables and floor messy and staff looked miserable. Nothing would encourage me to use the cafe again

We visited the Sprucefield wine bar tonight 7 15 on our weekly usual call for two seafood platters and a glass of wine. Only six people at main bar and two couples at back bar. Two servers, one a recent recruit, and the other, a guy with a ponytail of long standing had little to do as most of the diners already had their meals. After about ten minutes a couple of ladies got up and explained to ponytail that they would try the cafe. He offered no apology and simply let them go. At this stage neither server had acknowledged us even though they were passing in front of us every few moments. We decided to leave and no comment was made even though we got out of our seats in front of ponytail. Three people left at bar. Such total ignorance I fail to remember anywhere.

The new layout of the Marks and Spencer cafe is worse than the old one. I couldn't believe how bad the layout is and the result is that it takes longer to be served. I also dislike the hard chairs and very basic tables which wobble. It is also very disappointing that tables sit for a long time before being cleared. I expect more for my money with regard to surroundings than what Marks and Spencer is offering. Staff could also do with some training with regard to attitude. The only thing that was nice was the coffee and scone.

Please do not even think about eating in the deli unless you are wearing your thermals. The air con is set so low you might as well climb into one of the near -by freezers with hand , foot warmers and your coffee. I keep returning to the scene of the crime, in the hope management has acted on the many complaints received. Alas not!!! It is bright clean and the food is good, staff are efficient, and pleasant but management not available, I suspect they too, do not do not wish to enter into artic conditions!!!! Mind you in the current heat wave it is useful, although I still would have needed a rug for my legs. Either it is a great marketing ploy so you don't sit too long, or they are hoping you will buy a set of thermals!!!!!

Sat at the deli bar where one server was trying to deal with 9 or ten customers. The coffee machine was broken so no coffee. The lobster buns had... no lobster. Had to settle for prawns and lettuce on a dry bun. Supervisor faced with staff shortage co opted a member of staff to help - then took the day off apparently. Standards are seriously slipping here. Went to Mark's and Spencer with my friend this morning for breakfast. I specifically asked for my coffee to be made as hot as possible, I didn't think this was a difficult request for the girl making the coffee to achieve. Obviously I was very wrong, the coffee was just about luke warm. I have had coffee in the Marks and Spencer foyer cafe and got exactly what I requested, ie, a hot coffee. Why this cannot be replicated in the cafe in the home store is beyond me. The actual cooked was breakfast was lovely, a hot plate would keep the food a bit hotter for longer though. The waitress who brought our breakfast was friendly and helpful. Would he back if they got the coffee situation sorted out. Overall not a great experience.

Who designed the new coffee shop layout in the main Marks and Spencer store at Sprucefield? I have stopped for coffee a couple of times now, and in true Northern Ireland polite terms those of us in the queue have contemplated the wisdom of a central table displaying their wares, and the lack of a coordinated coffee line. I remain baffled! Once you get to the till it's no better. Tight for space, and whilst I am not suggesting a lack of cleanliness, it looks chaotic and rather untidy. Please someone from the design team go try and have a coffee!

Just in general I find the sandwiches are discusting and very overpriced not to mention the rest of the unhealthy food on offer. There is practically nothing on offer for a gluten free or dairy free customer. Staff also would need a few lessons in manners. At one time I enjoyed this cafe being introduced to it through my premium account and get vouchers for a hot drink. I don't think staff realise I pay £20.00 per month for vouchers and not getting my coffee free. I would never recommend breakfast.

First, it was the demise of the loyalty cards, which I was able to look forward to a free hot drink on some occasions, they just disappeared almost overnight. In spite of a number of emails I sent to M&S; they just made some and excuses for just being downright miserable. Now I just discovered today at the Sprucefield centre that the customer has to request (or beg) for what was the free small biscuit (worth pence). Having discovered from a previous reviewer that this is a pilot scheme only in NI, this is discrimination against the loyal customers in NI. If I'm in the forestside I now have coffee in Sainsbury's cafe, cheaper than M&S.; Back to today's visit to Sprucefield where we visited the restaurant and had the all day breakfasts. Bacon and sausages were nice and warm, poached eggs were also nice but began to get cold as did the mushrooms . The bread was over toasted and very hard. All because of the age old fault of many restaurants, plates which are not heated., will they ever learn? I'll think twice before buying coffee in M&S; cafes, unless they treat NI same as other UK regions.

In recent weeks some Bean Counter has been going to ridiculous lengths to make more money out of customers, eg Milk for tea and coffee has had to be requested specially; then the sachets of salt and pepper were removed (but eventually restored) now the complementary biscuit has been removed. Are customers being milked to make up for poor clothing sales ?

Oh M&S cafe standards are slipping. I really don't know what this world is coming to. It's a rum do when Marks and Spencer act underhandedly. The latest swizz is the removal of the biscuit that is normally complimentary with a hot drink. Rogues are infiltrating everywhere. They've reduced the weight of many products while charging the same if not more. Some may say this is of little consequence but it's the principle and the standards. I asked a staff member who claimed that removing the biscuit was a waste issue: well I just don't believe a word of it. It's penny-pinching plain and simple. I mean an Eccles cake or an apple turnover is £1 at their bakery and if you bought either in the cafe they were £1.50 and now they are £1.75 each. Just like their ending the in-store piped music and claiming that customers wanted quiet. Stuff of nonsense and balderdash. We all might as well go downmarket to Tesco where every penny counts and hoodwinking customers is part of their business model. The sooner we get Waitrose into Northern Ireland the better.

I have to be honest I dread taking my mum to M&S for her food shopping. Don't get me wrong the quality of the groceries etc is great and if she needs some bits and pieces for the wardrobe we can pick this all up on the one trip. Its the impatient fellow food shoppers who make it a nightmare for me to manage a trolley and a very mobility impaired lady with a rollator. So by the time we settled on having a late lunch/early tea in the cafe off the homeware section (turn left after the bathroom towels!) we were both feeling a bit second hand. How lovely it was to get a peaceful haven and a sit down with a glass of chilled white while we waited for our hot food to arrive. The chap on the till was so lovely while explaining how the order system worked. Then we were REALLY WELL looked after by another young man, he couldn't do enough for us and made sure mum & I had everything we needed from glasses, straws, napkins, cutlery...you name it. I am sorry I didn't catch your name but your scorpion tattoo on your wrist should make you easy to identify and I hope you get a huge pat on the back. The food was lovely, fish n chips for mum and pea & mint soup for me. Served freshly cooked and hot! Mum really enjoyed her afternoon and for that we are both grateful. In short we will be back and thank you for the lovely food service.

A bottle of Prosecco was half price so we ordered that as well, thinking that the cost of the meals would be £27.50. We received a bill for £35.50 asked the waiter why we were charged this amount and were told that we did not order the 2 glasses of wine, so the £10 meals were not valid. We were very disappointed as had we ordered the extra 2 glasses of wine we would have saved £7.50. Be warned. We cannot understand why we were charged more for ordering less!!!!

Possibly 5.30/45, and we headed to the restaurant. I hadn't been for quite some time but it seemed to have been decorated since my last visit. Goodness knows how long ago that was, but I must say I was disappointed to find the choice very restricted. Perhaps there aren't many people unsung the restaurant en route home from work or for tea? It certainly wasn't busy, but considering it was open for late night shopping I was so disappointed. We had a biscuit in the end and decided to move on to Premier Inn ... Only a few minutes drive away (towards the hospital) much better choice at this time of a weekday. Sorry M&Spencers - it felt as though you didn't make much of an effort at all to encourage return business.... Why don't you just 'ping' a Cumberland pie if it's that tuff to find something to offer? The menu is not extensive, but we chose two dishes which came with free glass of Bubbles, although not champagne it was nice. I chose a salad of prawn and avocado. I found the sauce to be really sweet and I could not finish the salad as it really was rather large about £6.50 or so. The other choice on the day was chicken caesar salad which went down well. It is a good place to have a quick bite and the Food Hall is excellent.

First time back from when changed to self Service and will not be returning. My Wife and I joined a friend who was already seated and having her Meal.We Chose Battered Cod and Chips and soft Drinks. The food was delivered to the table after about 20 Minutes with a small Tub of Watery Mushy Peas. The Fish was Normal sized portion that you can Buy in Food Hall and was as described. The Fish was cooked to within an inch of its life and completely dry and tasteless.. The Chips were acceptable and the Mushy Peas Tasteless. This Area within the Homeware Hall could not be described as a Restaurant but more like a works canteen. The layout is poor and the system very badly laid out.The cost of the two Fish & Chip Meals alone were £15.00 and compared most unfavourably with most Fish and Chip Establishments within the Area. This Eatery is not consistent with the Marks & Spencer image.

Typical, good quality treats from Marks and Spencer's. Always friendly helpful staff. I just find this is a good venue for meeting friends.

Who hasn't been to M & S? Stand up anyone who does NOT buy their underwear from this iconic institution! Yes, we all know them. But, just how much do we know about their food and drinks pricing policy? Now don't go falling asleep on me please. This is not going to be about retail economics or business finance. It concerns the humble cup of coffee... and the pound in your pocket. Think about this the next time you are standing in the queue at an M & S cafeteria. How come the price you pay for your cappucicino buys you a cup with TWO shots of coffee, and if you want an extra shot you pay an extra 50 pence? Well, the answer is simple : you pay more for 3 shots than for 2. Perfectly reasonable. However, look what happens if (like me) you ask for a SINGLE SHOT coffee. Logically you have asked for 1 shot, so you should pay for 1 shot. Sadly M & S don't operate a logical pricing policy when it comes to a cup of coffee, for they put 1 shot in your cup but charge you for 2. One for the price of two! Yet another bargain from your friendly M & S store. The other day there was a woman in the queue behind me who ordered an extra shot, while I was waiting for my single shot. So I said to the barista "let her have the shot I'm not having". A sensible idea since I had already paid for the 2nd shot I didn't want? Oh no, confusion broke out among the staff. "I'm sorry but we can't do that, sir."Wouldn't you like to know what happens to all those single shots of coffee that all of uswho like our coffees weak have paid for, but not taken. Why, that's easy! M & S take them and sell them again to other, unsuspecting, customers. Well, friends, surely it is about time we let M & S know that this practice is unethical. Let's put a stop to this great Coffee Rip Off.

The Deli Bar at M&S Sprucefield always makes for a great end to a visit to this destination shopping area. We plan things to end up in the Deli after noon so to enjoy a glass of wine with the great food the friendly staff always produce. Top class hygiene and news papers to read. Pity the staff cannot accept a tip which is well deserved.

Visited for lunch at midday several items including basic bacon roll not available. Restaurant was not busy. To accompany meal I asked for pot of hot water as I do not drink tea or coffee. Had to ask a rather disgruntled young man for a cup. He handed it to me and did not include a saucer. All beverages purchased were lukewarmNot a pleasant experience

Have visited Marks and Spencer, Sprucefield a few times in the last few months, great store for a bit of retail therapy ,their café is great for a light snack, but they also have a great Restaurant, that serves wonderful ,hot lunches ,the restaurant can be found in an annex just of the bedding and light department close to the main front entrance near the cash machines ,the Restaurant is clean and bright and not overly pricey ,and waiting staff are pleasant and helpful......

A fairly limited menu but even the fussiest will find something. Nice food good service fast delivery of food, all good for a lunchtime stop off. The communal seating with its high chairs can be a struggle for some of its patrons. Having to negotiate trolleys of unpaid for stuff and big baby buggy a is a pain - if only they had an area for these! Otherwise a good choice club sandwich gorgeous.

Considering they aren't allowed any tips :-((( they do an excellent job!The food is good we usually share something - a Steak sandwich maybe, which if you tell them you're sharing it will come out on 2 plates already divided up :-)It's very consistent - that's one of the main reasions we keep going back

My husband, daughter and I were doing grocery shopping and thought we'd nip into the restaurant for a quick bite of lunch. My daughter and I ordered lemon chicken with cous cous and my husband battered fish and chips. The table was filthy. I asked a young waiter to wipe it, which he did straight onto the floor. Hubby a chair was filthy too. Cous cous dish which cost £7.50 was clumped together and tasteless. My daughter refused to eat hers. Hubby's fish and chips came on a small plate, he wasn't impressed astasteless

Three of us met for lunch in the M&S cafe earlier today. The menu is quite restricted, but we ordered from it nonetheless.I ordered a salmon salad - warm salmon on a bed of salad. For £6.50 I received a lot of lettuce, spinach and greens, a few potato cubes drizzled with a honey and mustard sauce and a very, very small serving of salmon. It was indeed very tasty, but overpriced for the small amount of salmon served. I will probably be back again, and may well order the same dish in the hope that it will have improved.

As a regular customer to the deli bar at M &S (Sprucefield) it is unbelievable to understand how they can not access cheese and bread. There is an outstanding food hall adjacent to the deli bar, yet their menu listing of "Posh" cheese and toast has not been available for over 3 weeks. Where do their supplies come from?As a recommendation to the chef I would suggest an additional item to be added to one of their popular dishes..... the delightful dish of avocado, prawns and crab meat could be complimented with a slice of 'Irish' wheaten bread.I await my next visit to see if they have been able to source the cheese and bread.

This is a review of the Deli only.Situated between the foodhall and clothing is an oasis where you can stop and grab a coffee and some lite bites. Always nice to get away from the busy shop for half an hour and relax with a coffee and scone with jam and cream. Staff very friendly and only too happy to give me my preferred hot milk with my Americano (it does make a difference, honest!)

M&S in my opinion is very good. They have a good selection of clothes and if you have any problems customers service sort it. It's a simple formula that keeps customers coming back. The food hall is excellent with a good selection which is fresh and tasty

We have tried all three eating venues in this shop, all are excellent in terms of service and cleanliness, scones are delicious in the coffee shop, tapas are excellent at the Bistro Bar, the Eggs Benedict in the restaurant tend to be overdone (like squash balls), and this one of the three can be expensive

Just called in to the cafe to freshen up on Wednesday. We decided to enjoy the new afternoon tea - a new offering apparently. The staff said we were the first to indulge and there was a bit of confusion when the order was being placed. However it turned out to be an "afternoon delight". Fresh well filled sandwich fingers, warm scones and tasty sweet items (trying to avoid using the word buns which wouldn't do them justice) and tasty choice of tea.Overall excellent value for two.

This is a convenient stop off when travelling to or from Belfast. The Deli is a "bar and high stool" restaurant. I love it because the food is excellent, the portions are very generous (example cheese platter) and the staff are attentive and good. Their only flaw is that they will not take a "tip" from me. Have the Cava with your meal and people watch. This is a great place to observe the many and varied people of Northern Ireland go about their daily lives. There is also a very big department store on the premises, if you are that way inclined.

Bel pub in zona molto frequentata.

£13 for a fishcake, 2portions of salad and a canned drink seemed a little excessive to me. The taste was only all right. I left wishing I had gone to a nearby supermarket to buy a pack of their fishcakes to heat and eat at home

A really lovely place to grab a breakfast, thankfully the vegetarian option is unreal! It's one of the best vegetarian breakfasts I've ever had, definitely recommend eating here.
