After making a physical visit to check that the Store participated in the M and S Afternoon Tea. I returned today with my friends for a birthday treat only to be told it wasn't available due to not having certain items. When I queried this,the manager said it was available,if I wanted one choice of sandwiches, no strawberries or scones,due to no stock. I asked why it was still being advertised if not available, to which she replied, " it is but not today", and agreed it shouldn't have been with a flippant apology. Ruined my birthday surprise. Thank goodness for Wetherspoons.

Really good quality food and amazing staff. Tried Vegetarian jacket potato with spicy beans and avocado it was so good I went back again the next day. My partner had the fish and chips and it was very good as well Food was bought to table quickly by helpful staff and tables cleared and cleaned fast Cannot recommend this cafe enough.

Over priced rubbish food, seems very little organised system in the kitchen, and whoever is responsible for cooking the meals has obviously no pride in the quality of the food they are sending out! Many tables pulled up with trays and person cleaning tables does not work to any organised system seems to wander around cleaning a table then walking past 2-3 tables pilled with dirty plates and cleaning one at the other end of the restaurant , as I said no system or logic. You expect great quality and service from Mark's and Spencer,at Bradford Broadway you get nether unfortunately.

We visited on the first Friday of October. The restaurant was extremely busy, yet the girls were doing a sterling job serving, whilst a nice guy was collecting plates and cleaning tables. Onto the food, the wife and I both opted for eggs benedict. The food came freshly cooked after a short break. Hot, and looked very appealing. It tasted great! Thank You Jonathan

The food was disgusting cold chips tasted warmed up chicken cold the bread Rock hard pickles cold and hard from a jar

My husband and I called here for a coffee and cake at 1pm on Thursday 27th October. All the unoccupied tables were covered with dirty crockery and the trays available to use were wet and had evidence of food still on them. The two staff, one on a till the other wandering aimlessly, seemed to have no idea at all. We left without ordering and will not return. I rang M&S and attempted to speak to the store manager but only got through to a call centre. The call centre assistant gave me a complaint number and told me the manager would ring me, still waiting………………

Visited today! It was the worst M&S cafe I have ever visited!not very busy but almost all tables not cleared the floor was disgraceful I am appalled if this is the standard m&s are delivering I will never visit this particular branch again the food was also very very poor it's just a really bad experience I don't want to repeat! Shame on this store for this café!

Called at marks and Spencer’s in Broadway this morning Disgusting dirty tables and floors and chairs in this day and age with Covid these should be done after every customer Asked a cleaner to clean tables poor response ( il get round to it ) Tea undrinklable will not visit this store again

This cafe is a typical M&S cafe, however it is bright and spacious with great views across the shopping centre. The whole store is great, a shame they don’t stock furniture, however it can be ordered to the store free of charge I suppose. The food hall is really good. Although very busy, it is well stocked and has lots of choice. It’s the best one around the area and the staff are really helpful and friendly too. A great shopping experience.

Went for lunch yesterday - oh dear! Only 4 sandwich choices - no salads - cold drinks were warm - and one of the staff was vacuuming the coffee machine for ages it was so noisy - not a very pleasant experience at all.

Food was cold when I asked for my jacket potato with cheese to be put in the microwave she took it straight of me leaving me stood there and so I went to sit back down. They brought mine back and said for future reference we don’t warm food up in the microwave. This picture is chilli con carne. FOR FUTURE REFERENCE DEAR WE WONT BE COMING BACK. all staff need to go on customer service course.

I called into m&s on Sunday morning after looking for somewhere to eat in Bradford. I thought the m&s brand would be enough to make this experience a good one, sadly not. I asked for the full breakfast only to be asked if I wanted poached or scrambled eggs, thinking this was a choice I chose scrambled only to be charged £2.95 extra. When it arrived it was lukewarm at best and was thrown onto the plate with toast laid on top, and Pack's of butter fully melted on top of them. It was an experience that I won't be repeating.

My wife and I took a trip to Bradford to see a show. As we were early we decided to look around the shop's. We then went to Mark and Spencer's cafe. I ordered the all day breakfast at seven pounds plus! I was told that poached eggs were not available so opted for scrambled eggs. When the "meal" arrived it was barely warm, the bacon bits - less than a rasher, was was transparent and plastic in appearance some miniature tomatoes, very watery, mushrooms long overcooked. There was a mountain of "scrambled eggs" that were cold, rubbery and cut from a slab. I did not complain at the time as this was a special day out for my Wife and myself. I am not sure if the staff would have been interested anyway an enough was enough!!!.

No queue at 12.30 and both tills in operation, but beware the till on the left hand side cannot provide full service, if you want hot food you need the till on the right, little stock on the shelves, but you can order hot food including the Toasties' at the till. Most of the cakes were available but at £3 plus a slice now proving to be expensive and not tasting as good as they once were, 14 slices from a cake now, was 12. Yes as some others have noticed the hot food portions have got smaller, equally the Toasted sandwiches first have been price adjusted upwards, but then reduced back again as the sales fell, now the quality of these has deteriorated and if heated for the normal length of time, they come out looking awful, the fillings have been very much reduced. Sadly having got served the problem was trying to find a vacant table which had been cleared of the previous customers dirty crockery and discarded wrappers. The Café was far from busy, but little or no attempt had been made to cleared and clean the tables for some considerable time. Our hot drinks were tepid, and the toasted sandwiches not a patch on what they use to be, overall very poor value for money, the nice setting and views do not compensate for poor quality food and the lack of cleanliness provided in the Café.

Eating alone is not a problem here and being able to have a good sandwich and coffee at lunch time is always most welcome

Nice setting with lovely staff. The food is OK. Exactly what you'd expect in a m and S cafe. We go here pretty much every week as my Gran, auntie, mum, sister and niece come see me in my lunch hour from work. Definately recommend a visit. As with all m and s though it's not the cheapest place you could find some lunch.

This was our first visit to The Broadway and we certainly enjoyed the experience. The M&S store is about the same size as the one in Halifax, and much larger and better than the one in Huddersfield. The fashion area is spacious and clothes displayed well, not cramped together even though there was a sale on, you could get round to see the goods without it looking like a jumble sale. The staff were pleasant and helpful, particularly the young lady on the till by the jewellery stand who wrapped my jewellery purchases separately in tissue to avoid snagging, this was really thoughtful. The café area looked clean and spacious with good views of the Broadway Mall. The food hall is a good size and was well stocked. No doubt we will be visiting again very soon.

A really nice Marks & Spencer. Good sized food hall. Nice cafe area with a good selection of snacks. Well ,laid out and spacious shop floor for getting pram around. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Bev on ladies wear was really good and went out of her way to find our products..Thank you Bev !!

Of all the M and S cafes I have visited this is the best. The queues are short and the staff are very efficient. Tables are quickly cleared and food well stocked. The food as in all M and S is very good and although possibly a bit pricier than a lot of places is well worth the money.

This cafe is in a fab location, from the window you get the best of the daylight whilst overlooking the shopping centre. Perfect place to reflect with a delicious coffee and people watch. Came spontaneously with my son and really loved sitting in the calm atmosphere with very kind staff.

Having read the review by VC I purposely had lunch here today. It was a couple of months since I last attended and every time I had attended previously had been literally magnificent. From the get go the customer service was exceptional, a gentleman with mobility difficulties came in after me and the staff member on the till got his order together and personally escorted him to his table. I had an operation last year and the number of places I went to which were happy to let me try and balance my crutches and a tray without an offer of help was ridiculous. It was really nice to see. The atmosphere was very calm, enough space between tables to have a pushchair/wheelchair/trolley, nice view of the Broadway, the only improvement could have been the clearing of tables. There seemed to be plates just left. The food was basic, which is not what you expect from the Marks and Spencer brand. I was sad to see the afternoon tea for adults had gone and the vegetarian options seemed limited to Macaroni and cheese. Not a pasta lover I went for the jacket potato, the filling overflowed the potato with a small side salad. Served within a few minutes it was healthy and filling. I will attend again but without the wonderful afternoon tea service for which I took visitors as a treat it won't be that often. Instead I will head to the Midland hotel for afternoon tea treats.

I visit Marks & Spencers to have lunch on a regular basis. I invited my sister to eat with me as I have always find the cafe a pleasant, roomy and generally a nice place to be. However on the last 2 visits i have noted the standard of food dropping. On my first visit this week I ordered the smoked hickory salmon salad which hardly contained any salmon at all, very tasty but lacking in ingredients, I returned later in the week along with my Sister and she ordered a Jacket Potato with Chilli, well if there was a large table spoon of chilli on there i would be exaggerating, a member of the restaurant staff was passing and i stopped her to ask if this was correct, she quite rudely said yes and walked off. I was left feeling disappointed at firstly the food and secondly the attitude of the member of staff, I'm not sure if i'll eat here again as its not the cheapest and i feel with the competition of the food hall/cafes in this centre will encourage me try some of those. I'm not sure if M&S; have cut their portions/fillings down but i feel it needs looking at. Also as much as I hate to say this the staff need to be more friendly and approachable. I really feel some Mystery Shoppers should be sent here to take it back to what it was when it first opened. Disappointing!

Lovley food and service best m&s; cafe Ive been in. Only wish they had a homeware department. Apart from that it was very good

Afternoon tea used to be good here but it's fine down hill. First of all the selection of sandwiches have gone and now you have to pick a packet from the chiller and for a veggie all you can have is egg mayo. Scones are now dry and tasteless and as for the cakes you can get better from Poundland. Tea was horrible and the service even worse, the woman who served the hot drinks spilt hot water on me. Go to pat val for a better afternoon and not much more in price.

M & S serve a traditional Afternoon Tea of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, fancy cakes for £12.50. It is delicious and value for money. Choose a seat near the giant window for a fantastic view of the centre.
