Marios Annan Takeaway in Dumfries & Galloway

Dreadful pizza. Very greasy and cold. The chips were reheats and unedible. Would not recommend

Appalling chips, I can't describe how disappointed I was.

Visited Mario's whilst staying at the Cornerhouse hotel, the food was fantastic which was more than can be said for the hotel. We had the curried chicken kebab as this isn't something I've seen before on a menu and it was a nice change from the norm, well cooked and full of flavour. The garlic mayo was tasty, salad and pittas nice and fresh and the chips well cooked, just lacking salt and vinegar which was my fault for not asking 🙄. The young lady who took our order was pleasant and in the unlikely event we stay in Annan in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to visit Mario's again.

More quantity than quality, ordered two kebabs with salad, came in two carrier bags and would have fed an army. Kept us both up all night with indigestion, more doesn't always equate to better

Ordered the chicken kebab meal deal.I received refried fries,either that or the oil used to fry was filthy. A very greasy strangely textured chicken kebab that came with a very stale pitta. Do not trust their foodhub reviews. The only positive is their delivery time.

The quality of the food from this place has really gone downhill especially on home deliveries. A number of times the fried fish has a tandoori type flavour to it....unsure if there is cross contamination from the oil or a work surface and it is fried to within an inch of it's life. Usually end up throwing it out. The donner meat on the home delivery is dried out and tasteless ( it does taste a bit better if you collect) If you get anything with cheese on then the temperature of the food hasn't even been hot enough to melt the food. There is a better takeaway in town now for quality of food.

3 times I have received food with hairs in it also underneath the food too. They lie saying they wear hair nets(I’ve been in person and didn’t see one wear a hair net) and if you mention it they will laugh, give an attitude and decide to be petty and suspense the account that you use to deliver online. The food is great just not so good with hairs 😅. Edit, you’re completely wrong I’ve asked around AND my family have witnessed this, I would happily take it further as well because I’m not going to have lies and you folk giving me attitude and not communicating well, I also still have proof. Something that serious I don’t think anyone would lie about with food either, there’s been times the food has been perfect and nothing wrong, I was nice on call, respectful and explained in detail AND had proof with it untouched etc yet was laughed at and given attitude, tell me does that sound professional?, I have also called in saying this 3 times because I don’t know, I found hair in it those times. This is also my first review. you're right we can’t trust take always anymore.

Ordered a Chicken & donner kebab with fries,to my place of work on Xmas eve, The food was delivered very promptly by a friendly driver, All the food was hot,cooked perfectly,very very tasty,& great value, Surprised at negative reviews,will certainly order again.

First of all, are you even cooking it right it takes two mins maximum for you to cook it and boom it’s delivered it should take 19-30mins maximum and the chips are cold when we receive them, second of all, after I eat your food not any other takeaways just yours I always end up sick or have diarrhoea.

The fish has always had a lovely batter and enjoyable and tasty plus the service is always spot on and good and delivery spot on too cost are very good and kebabs are not greasy etc and a large / x large is more than ample for my family plus 2 dogs that love the donner meat thank u mario 10/10

Just had fish and chips delivered only 3 miles away. Menu says it cost £9.20 and the delivery driver told me it cost £4 for delivery (omg). I had to pay £15.20. You do the maths. Looked like the food was just thrown into a box. Unfortunately half the meal went in the bin and the taste wasn't much to write home about.

Good food and a good price compared to other takeaways in the area. And I know because we live her and tried them all. But the parmesan chicken was a little over cooked. But we will definitely try it again. The kebabs are delicious and will you up. 👍

Food was nice at the time but the 4 of us who ate were all unwell shortly afterwards.

Travelled from Wales and decided to have our dinner here, after a long day travelling by motorbike it didn't disappoint, pizza perfectly cooked as was the fish and chips, service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! Thank you / Diolch

Got a chicken wrap tonight, worst ever, for some reason it was cut into eight pieces, the seasoning was rank, chips were nice though

There was a bit of confusion today as Mario's thought i left a bad review about the fish! Just want to say again that was not me! I want to leave my own review because we disagree with it, we order from Marios quite often, today we had fish and pizza and were happy with our food 🙂

Have had a delivery previously, this one not good, fish not nice and chips were just the scrapings, disappointing, won't be ordering again.

Best takeaway pizza in town. And, by far the best chips. We regularly get a vegetarian hot pizza and chips. As for the rest of their menu, I can't comment. They haven't got our order wrong yet. Which is notable. For five stars they could get some olives in. The closest they get is pictures of them on the pizza box.

We travel to Annan nearly 2hrs from Ayrshire for fishing but Mario's is the highlight of the trip home for food. Wee dude taking orders could show adults a thing or 2 about customer service he's a wee legend.

got chips cheese and donner was so looking forward too it , opened it up and the cheese was like water, was more like cheese sauce. disgusting i wouldn’t even give it 1 star

Clean and taste is okay. Not perfect but possible to eat.

Chips either half cooked or stored in water for ages as were hard and sort of popped when bitten into and no salt or vinegar offered ........ I couldn't eat it and not cheap either

Only went in for a wrap ,waited for about 10 -15 minutes . Service was OK but to wait that time for a wrap

I’d give no stars if I could. Had a chicken wrap tonight and this is what I found at the bottom of it. To make matters worse, I found it when chewing and felt something hard expecting a piece of bone! Absolutely disgusting. I fail to understand how this place passes for hygiene. Never ordering again! Avoid!!!

Ordered chips and cheese, a very simple thing. First time it was delivered my food it was stone cold and the cheese wasn't melted, after phoning them they offered a replacement. When the replacement got here the driver rushed to get away, and I soon realised why as the food was once again barely at room temperature and slimy to eat. I for one will NEVER be ordering from this place again and I advise everyone to do the same. Absolutely disgusting!

I visited Mario's Takeaway shop on High Street in Annan last night and it was a most enjoyable experience. I purchased a chicken which came with salad. Service was quick and efficient and the kebab was of top quality. It was reasonably priced as well. Mario's Takeaway shop is just across the road from Corner House Hotel in Annan where I was staying overnight in. I would recommend a visit to Mario's Takeaway shop on High Street in Annan in Dumfries and Galloway.

It's ok I suppose but certainly not the best

Fish Supper was ok but no salt and vinegar on the counter which should be standard, had to ask and they still didn’t put any on, delivery staff who were loitering about were rude, foul mouthed and generally annoying, wouldn’t go again despite reasonable fish supper

Total disgrace, sent food out for delivery after sitting for over an hour and a half in shop as food hub once again mucked up, wouldn't give to my dog, cold greasy and revolting, was told fresh would be sent, aye fresh last week!

Awful I bought a pizza on the 21/12/16 at 11:40 and when I got home there was a blonde hair on my pizza underneath the cheese when I made a complaint about it they told me that it's not their problem and refused to give me at least a replacement so will never order from them again
