Marino's Italian Ristaurante & Pizzeria in Preston

This family run restaurant is local and a firm favourite. Never been disappointed. My favourite is the aubergine garlic bread 🤌

A cute little place, family run with authentic Sicilian food. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is lots of choice on the menu, they also have a good selection on the vegan menu. The food is excellent, reasonably priced and good portion sizes. I had the Sicilian fennel sausage with onions and peppers which was delicious and you get a good amount of meat. The vegan baked aubergine was also very delicious, rich and well cooked.

I was excited to try this restaurant. I was firstly overcharged £1 . I saw a young man sort his hair, scratch his face then grab handfuls of food to throw into a pan without washing his hands. Never mind it’s cooked. When I got the food home it was really awful. The fegatini stunk and was not done in a traditional manner I’m used to. The carbonara was dry, had no sauce on it and no taste and no Parmesan. It had no egg liaison as there was no cream it seemed milked down hence no sauce . The lobster was non existent for £11.50. A huge disappointment and I was looking forward to it. Not to be repeated sadly,

Excellent food, very good value, good service, friendly, warming professional staff. Chicken alla crema and peppered steak is is good option, also the calzone and seafood and spaghetti. Very tasty and filling. Cannoli for desert

Stumbled across this lovely restaurant one evening after being at a concert in Blackburn and there being no availability in the restaurants there. My family from up and down the motorway needed somewhere easy to get to and easy to drive home from. Wow! What a find! I have since been back with various people and every single time the food is delicious, the atmosphere is humming and the staff are friendly and helpful- and the price is incredible! We always have large glasses of wine, a main and a dessert each and it rarely comes to more than £22-£25 each! Unbelievable! Doesn't natter which day of the week you come on, it is always busy (in a good way) very popular with locals which is a good sign. It is also a takeaway - good job we don't live nearby as we would be in here every week!

Absolutely fantastic. First time we have eaten at Marinos and we will definitely be back! Food was delish, service was impeccable and the atmosphere lovely and family friendly. The quality of the food was beautiful and the portions massive. We're already planning our next meal here.

Stumbled across this venue by accident as we had a Sicilian / Italian friend visiting. What a lucky find! Stuffed mushrooms as a starter - perfetto! Then the Pasta salmone was absolutely divine! This place is brimming with character and atmosphere (if you want a boring, stuffy meal… then don’t go here) it’s true Italian … vibrant family atmosphere and amazing tasting food. The owner came out and spoke to the customers too. Nice touch. Seriously… book now and visit… you won’t be disappointed! Grazie!

Discovered this Italian restaurant online while googling for somewhere to eat. definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the UK. Had a delicious pasta with salmon, the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful. Great food, the owner is very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was very nice. Definitely going back soon.

Table service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait over five minutes for serving cutlery and condiments to be brought to the table. No enquiry was offered by staff with regards to the cooking of the steak or if more drinks were required. I had to go to the bar to order more drinks and found three members of staff attending to a till. When all of the above was pointed out to the person taking the payment for the meal I received a perfunctory apology as if the service I received was the best that the staff could manage. The time was approximately 10:00 PM and the restaurant was not exactly busy during our meal reservation. As a consequence, the experience was not one that I could recommend. I will have to think long and hard before booking a re-visit.

It's very rustic, the staff are very helpful and the food is always bang on. The prices are also reasonable. All in all a very enjoyable night out. I would thoroughly recommend it

Great food ,service, and price . We ordered takeaway, and it was ready in 15 mins . It was fully loaded with chicken and sides. Can't fault it in any way, our friends come from Bamber Bridge now to pick up takeaway 5* all the way

my daughter and I were visiting from Canada and enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Marinos. It was one of our favourite restaurants while travelling throughout the UK.

This place was a saviour for me, as I was redirected off the motorway after an accident and had to take a TEAMS call for work. I had my young son with me too. The team were lovely. So welcoming and supportive of my needs. I set up my laptop, my son had a chicken salad and I got a latte. Meeting achieved, son happy. We celebrated with chocolate ice cream!! Thank you Marino's. 😊

A nice place to eat with a good menu and good prices. Unfortunately my visit was let down by a few points. They missed one of our mains and two of our desserts. The bill is not itemised which made it problematic when our group came to splitting the bill.

Overall a super little restaurant, with a super team and delicious food from a good menu. My only reservation is how noisy it is. 😱 It's a very small cramped space and the acoustics are not good. The noise was shocking and unbearable, it was impossible to have a conversation without shouting and still not being heard. It's a clattery, chaotic atmosphere not helped by the Happy Birthday band that come out to celerating diners with a pair of crashing cymbals and an army of tambourines. 😖 It's quite literally painful to be there. 😩 I accept that there's not much to be done about it but if you want a quiet meal, I think I'd swerve past this restaurant. Pains me to say that because the food is top drawer and the team are bob on. 😞 If you want a noisy, raucous night...with fab food and great service, this is the place for you. 👍🎉

Took mum for her birthday. Marino’s is a great example of a local Italian restaurant! Great choice and generous portions of superbly tasty food matched by the staff who were all superb. Rainy, cold Thursday night and the restaurant was nearly full! Loved it 😍

Me and my husband celebrated our joint 60th with all our family. We had a great time! The food and the service was excellent. Thank you very much.

Great food and great service (10/10). The only thing it loses points for is the seating and sound volumes. My partner was sat on a window box and said she felt like she was sitting OVER the table rather than at it, and because of the layout (small rooms) the sound of all guests (there was a large group celebrating a birthday just next to us) echoed within the room making it nearly impossible to have a nice conversation while dining.

First time today and we will definitely go back again. From starter to dessert everything good. We ate fish : calamari, king prawns, cozze and agnolotti all'aragosta. For dessert we had tiramisu'. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian food.

We go to Marinos a lot but Christmas 🎄 eve was fantastic 👌 the food the service was all brilliant, the staff are all young but very efficient and professional and we ended up singing jingle 🔔 bells, thankyou for making our Christmas 🎄 so special.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant. We booked a table for a large group on a Sunday afternoon and we were well looked after by all the staff. The menu is great with a huge choice of pizza and pasta dishes. Staff were so helpful organising a birthday cake for our celebrants. They even sang happy birthday complete with clashes of cymbals! Prices are reasonable too. Many thanks to all staff for a special birthday treat!

Great food great price and lovely staff

I used to visit the restaurant a lot when I lived in Preston and it was one of my favourites. We were in the area and I wanted to stop in on my way through. It was great to see that the restaurant was still doing really well - it was completely packed at 6pm on a Friday. I ordered the mussels in cream to start and my partner ordered blue cheese mushrooms. We were both really disappointed with our starters. The mussels were over cooked, small and bland and the sauce wasn't very tasty. The mushrooms were bland, rubbery and small. At this point I was worried that the restaurant had reduced down on quality to keep prices low. HOWEVER, this concern melted away when we had our mains - they were both fantastic! I had the Crispella and my partner had the steak in peppercorn sauce. The sauce in the Crispella was delicious, the crepes were deliciously soft, the spinach was super garlicy and the ricotta was tart which just resulted in a fantastic dish. The steak was cooked to perfection, as were the potatoes and veg, and the sauce was truly delicious. We were seated at the furthest corner of the restaurant and had quite a few instances of waiting a long time to be served (when ordering or meal and after we'd finished). There were a lot of waiting staff and they seemed quite attentive for the other tables, but we kept missing out. The meal was just over £40 (we didn't have any drinks), which I feel was a great deal. We may have just been unlucky this time with the starters, but they definitely needed improvement.

Ruby was an enthusiastic and helpful waitress with a lovely smile. Our food was delicious and great value for money. The service was faultless. Keep doing what you're doing 👌 NB: the Pinot Grigio wasn't chilled enough for my liking 😒

Nice, clean budget italian restaurant

Being married to an Italian I have dined in a lot of Italian restaurants and this is one of the best x lovely atmosphere food so tasty and great portion size and the staff were a credit to you young staff but so confident and polite and very professional will definitely be back xxx

Came on Tuesday for my Mums 75th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were a large party but the food came out all together and was delicious. Staff are brilliant and so polite. Not our first visit and we will be back again. Thanks to Marino's for a great birthday for my Mum.

Simple but very nice and reasonable with a good selection.

Went for a family meal for Wife's birthday. It was really busy and I had reserved a table for us all. Service was okay considering how busy it was, and the food was good but not blown away. I found it very loud in the restaurant there were a lot of people packed into a small space with low ceilings, We found the noise distracting expecting to go out for a quiet meal. It was a nice place to go for a change, but we won't be regularly visiting.

The food is incredible, we have been a few times. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is always fantastic. The staff are very accommodating with dietary requests (ie. Vegetarian) and this is easily our favourite place to eat in Preston.

I really love the food here it's always fresh and hot it looks and tastes amazing the service is always good and no matter how busy they never take away any of the amazing service would 100% recommend as a good experience 😋
