Marinos in Tunbridge Wells

Best fish and chips I have had in ages. Good portion size of both my haddock and chips. Price was fair and chips best I have had in a while. I actually stopped here twice recently (had fish cake other time). Consistency shown as both times I was really happy with the chips. Will be back soon.

First visit to Mario’s and what a great experience . Easy to use portal , speedy service and .. excellent quality food .Very professional . Easily the best Fish and Chips in Tunbridge Wells .

I do not understand the bad reviews. Each time I have ordered online, the order has arrived very quickly, very hot and very delicious. I like the crispy bits of batter in the chips actually.

Visited Tunbridge Wells yesterday and had a walk round the Pantiles A nice area walked past Marino's then came back and had a look at how much chips was £2.70 for small chips I thought was expensive served on them horrible polystyrene boxes small wooden forks the chips must have been the same batch from 11.30 I ordered them about one o'clock so they have been sat there a good hour and half crap waste of money for that price the guy should have cooked them from fresh he didn't because I was probably the first customer serving me crap chips.

Ordered 2 meals via Deliveroo. One meal and a spring roll appeared. Managed to call and told the other meal would be sent out. By this time the fish that arrived was cold and going soggy (very oily is likely why) - the other meal appears 20 minutes later - stone cold with chips better described as bits of batter scrap. Two absolutely revolting meals, won't be repeated and definitely won't be recommended. It's the second disappointing meal we've had from here, there will not be a third. T.Wells in desperate need of a really decent chippy!

We had our fish and chips delivered and they arrived piping hot. Absolutely delicious. We had OAP portion which is very generous.

Top tip here is order before you go. This is a great chippy but is very busy at peak times. Excellent Haddock

Really unpleasent batter sausage - very dubious as to its' origin. Served in a polystyrene box - not cardboard. Never again

never have i had a worst pasty and chips the pasty was out of date phoned the shop and they lied saying that the 23/2 means that the 23 year of the 2nd month really bad customer care and a very bad service

I’ve never had, nor do I never expect to ever have again, cod and chips as bad as the one served to me today at Marinos in Tunbridge Wells. My grandson love fish & chip’s so last Monday 11 October 2021 I promise him that after school I will take him to eat fish & chip's at the common in Tunbridge Wells. I went to Marinos and place an order for medium portion cod and chips for my grandson and a medium portion chips only for my self, I also ask to cook the fish 4 minutes longer so it is crispy. I collect my order after 15 minutes and we when to eat at the common, when open the box the fish was completely soaked in grease and the chips soggy and tasteless, thick chewy batter were absolutely disgusting and quite honestly inedible nothing worse than chips cooked in oil that is old and smelly disgusting and felt sick afterwards. Never tasted anything so bad, my grandson ate none of it, and both were extremely disappointed. I went back to complain and told the manager that I was not very happy with the quality of the fish and chips and to my surprise his was so rude his attitude was disgusting and totally unnecessary behaviour, he dint not like what I told him and told me to F..k of and never to come back to his shop, well good I would rather not spend my money in his shop ever again; if I could give him zero stars I would but unfortunately I can't, I'm appalled & am writing this with utter disgust after the treatment I received from Marinos manager.

Yet another great meal delivered used there own online services and was bang on time even being extremely busy not surprising

I’ve not been to a chip shop for many years but whilst staying in Tunbridge during the recent lockdown I was struggling to find something to eat. I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. Jumbo sausage, chips, peas and curry sauce was absolutely delicious and left me wondering why I don’t visit these places more often. Thanks for a great meal.

Walked down with my wife to buy dinner for the family and was very pleasantly surprised. The cod was cooked perfectly and so were the chips. Loved it, tasted great and nothing was stodgy.

We go there every now and then and it is always very good quality food, decent sized portions and very friendly people. No reason to try anywhere else. Keep it up!

This takeaway had an orderly queuing system in place and contactless payment. We took our chips across the road to Tunbridge Wells common to eat and they were delicious.

Numerous visits to Marino’s and home delivery several times. Love this place. Generous portions, fresh and hot food and best of all terrific friendly staff. Never fail to offer the kids a drink or snack when waiting and a friendly chat. Best in TW.

Left the Pub on the Pantiles at 21:40 on a Saturday evening specifically to get food from Marino's. All they had was one sausage at 21:45. Not sure what the point of staying open is if you've only got one sausage left to sell. Really don't understand the business plan behind a fast food outlet located perfectly for pubs emptying around 11pm when they shut at 10pm and close down their kitchen well before that. This is not the first time but we do have Subway next door... Which has to be the worst place I have ever been too. Not only is the food disgraceful but the staff are truly awful. These are the options on the doorstep of the town's premium night life area....what in earth is going on, truly awful.

Really fancied some fish and chips and didn't know where to turn. Had a look and found Marino's in London Road and saw they delivered, brilliant! Delivery time was about 20 minutes and everything was lovely and hot. The fis was cooked beautifully and the best spam fritters I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back.

Had the best cod and chips that in long while the chicken is also great. Delivery was with me in 15 minutes from ordering.

Ordered through a thrid party app, made a mistake whilst ordering so contacted third party to try and change it but was told i had to talk to Marinos, who outrightly lied and said that (Bare in mind this was within 5 minutes of placing the order) that the food had already been cooked and was about to leave so i couldnt change it, so i requested to add items as a seperate order but told no by a female member of staff who described me as a c*nt to her co-workers. Wont be ordering from here ever again.

I have eaten food from here several times. Sometimes it is nice, sometimes the fish tastes a little floury.

Ordered some food to be delivered was told it would take 1 hour as it was busy which is fair enough.However it was 1 hour 40 minutes before the food was delivered to add insult to injury the order was wrong and frankly the food was awful chips were greasy and soggy.In fairness I've eaten via collection previously and it's been very good but on this experience I'll never use them again.

My recommendation is.... Order fish gluten-free and you will not be disappointed. The best in Tunbridge Wells. Try it....

I have been a regular to Marino's for over a year now, and would definitely recommend this shop very highly. The shop is very clean and hygienic, the staff are always friendly, and the food is fantastic! Generous portions,and at a very good price aswell. I generally go for haddock and chips, and I can honestly say I've never had better! Give it a try!!

Been using Marinos for over a year...Every...Single...Day, for my lunch! The best chips around BY FAR!!! Freshly cooked food, served by lovely, friendly guys...You won't find better! - Thanks lads, Steve ;)

OMG the best chips in town and there burgers are awesome and they also do gluten free battered fish and portions are great and kids get a drink with there meal and the staff are really nice and friendly but they do get busy but well worth the waut

Just had our first delivery of Gluten Free fish and chips and they were great. We will be back! Delivery cost only £1.20, can’t be bad.

Have yet to have anything but good quality fish and chips. Had haddock last night and I had forgotten how good it was. Lovely staff.

Visited here pre-gig, what a great chippy the chips are amazing. Really good quality no wonder it's so busy. Was totes to go back and get more !

We were on a 3 day visit and came across this superb fish and chip shop which was just at the other end of the town centre on London Road-Pantiles and was a great find, the owner was very friendly and we had a lovely fish and chip lunch inside. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were absolutely lovely. The batter was light and crispy and not at all greasy. We went back the next day for more, and will definitely be back there on our next visit to Tunbridge Wells. We definitely recommend a meal there, a great choice on the menu too.
