A very good experience, friendly and efficient staff, Fish & Chips was cooked from fresh, 4pm sunny evening, sat on seats outside and enjoyed F/ C tea.

Just been in to Maria's we had quite a big order but the food and service were absolutely fantastic. Great staff so helpful, funny and kind. The mixed grill was absolutely fantastic the homemade chilli superb. I really couldn't recommend them any higher. We will certainly be returning thank you fantastic.

We visited today with quite a large order. The service was brilliant staff were really helpful and extremely friendly despite them being very very busy. The food was brilliant the Mixed grill is fantastic and extremely well priced. The homemade Chilli was beautiful I really couldn't recommend them high enough we will absolutely be returning thank you.

Not brilliant for my first Just eats order. Ordered at 7 ish and didnt' get food till 20:45hrs. Ordered a variety of foods to include a steak and kidney pie but received a chicken pie which I couldn't eat. Not sure whether i'd give it another go.

I visited Maria's for the first time of New Ownership a couple of weeks ago and had OAP fish and chips. It was perfect. I went back yesterday and was greeted very cheerily with "Nice to see you back, OAP fish and chips?". I purchased 2 lots. The staff are super, food was cooked to order, lovely and hot and a generous portion. I have read some of the negative reviews and these do NOT in any way reflect the service I received.

Had a lovely take-away roast dinner today. 3 meats, roast potatoes and all the trimmings. Was a very good portion too. Friendly staff and great service. Would definately recommend x

Not keen on the fish or chips. Batter was a bit strange in taste and texture. Chips not the best. Fish cake and curry sauce was nice.

Beeb here couple of times now. Ivery happy. Staff are polar and great laugh, food is always great and chips are banging. Very happy

Just moved in up the road from Maria's fish bar and Kabab house, thought we would give them ago and so glad we did, it was the best and the biggest fish and chips I've had for a long time. As for quality, it was tops.

Delivery was good but food has gone really down hill. Mixed kebab had so much salad and hardly any meat, the meat was overcooked and dry, battered Sausages were over cooked, fish cakes weren't anywhere near as nice as they were previously. Plus fish and chips were over cooked. Really disappointing the last 3 times we have used Marias it hasn't been great, this used to be the best in Weston but will be looking elsewhere going forward.

Really disappointed. We regularly order from here and have not had a problem before. Food arrived on time , however it was cold , ordered mixed grill which was dry and cold , also a mixed doner kebab which was cold . Chips were warm but were like they were the last chips of night lots of little hard bits. Our order was at 7pm! It’s a shame as this has hour go to take away on a saturday night.

Absolutely brilliant service! Met with very polite team and had some laughs along the way. 🤣 Delicious souvlaki chicken kebab, beautifully presented, with a huge portions. I realised when I got back that I had forgotten the backlava, so I rang up and they very quickly delivered it. Superb customer service and lovely people. Thank you very much!

Awful Just wanted mixed kebab With lots of lemon Un eatable So spicy Chicken obviously from hot plate full of chilly or garlic I don’t do any of these So spicy What a waste of money Box will go back ASAP Did call to complain about spicy food but No Answers 4 times !!! Used for a few years but suddenly we get more salad and a lot less meat. I know everyone is trying to cut costs, unfortunately this has lost Maria’s a loyal customer. No longer worth the money 😢

can't fault the food, arrived hot and fresh 👍... eventually.... my order got bumped down the delivery queue so time kept changing, disappointed as a first time customer... I did get a full refund which wasn't asked for so was a nice suprise.. thanks for that 👍. wouldn't put me off ordering from them again due to food quality, hopefully next time will be on time.

gone down hill. chicken kebab now pulled chicken and too spicy. portion sizes are smaller and whole cabbage leaves. used to be shredded

Worst takeaway I have ever had,

We have always loved our food from here, which is why we ordered once again . However, we think it must’ve changed hands, because what we received was more than disappointing- we couldn’t eat any of it! The fish was so dry and cold. The chicken and mushroom pie was so over done , the pastry was rock hard and the filling had shrunk. The large chips were a small cold portion, which consisted of the dregs from the bottom of the fryer. The large kebab was a child’s size with rock hard pitta bread and small portion of kebab meat which was cold and very dry. The gravy was like water with brown colouring. It’s not even the money wasted that has bothered us, it’s the fact that they thought it was acceptable to serve this rubbish. You have just lost very loyal customers

Had an issue with our food, called the shop and spoke to the manager/owner Marcus. Dealt with apologetically and has more than compensated for the mistake. Good luck for the future and thank you for the excellent customer service. We all make mistakes now and again but it is how you deal with them that is so important.

food was very hot and a good portions. chilli con carne was to die for wife loved it will be going back again. New favourite chippy.

Normally a great experience but this time not so, chilli and chips ordered and rice sent instead , lots of cabbage in the burger 🤷🏻‍♀️

Disappointing first time experience. Chicken dry and flavourless considering it was meant to be done on charcoal grill. Might as well have been boiled. Tiniest bit of chilli sauce. Salad conisists of a mountain of white cabbage and couple slices of cucumber. Won't be returning if this is what's being served up

Been a regular customer for some time now. I will not accept old greasy chips from lunch time! We had two large portions of grease NOT condensation. Asked just eat to refund just for the chips with a photo. They would not refund a Total disgrace!

Lovely food, arrived early which was great for us, and piping hot. Good value for money.

Put lots of salt and vinegar on chips in notes turned up with none even have it on the invoice as well. Fish was soggy and dripping with fat not great don’t think I will use here again as there are simple things to get right and they can’t seem to do them!

Absolutely disgusting service. First time used and definitely last. If this is the attitude to be received I wouldn't recommend anyone using the place. Drove 10 minutes to order a chicken kebab. Get given assumed kebab and drive 10 minutes home to find out the kebab has become 2 sausage and 2 bags of chips. Ring to ask them what to do and incredibly get told I can keep them instead of the kebab if I want. After insisting I want the kebab I get told if I want it to drive back another 10 minutes to collect. Upon arrival I am handed a 20 minute old cold kebab which after another 10 minute drive and about £3worth of petrol tasted disgusting. Apparently they are on holiday for a week from Tuesday and would do better never reopening if this is the service and appalling attitude they feel fit to give customers.

Stopped using Maria’s for a while but the last two orders have been amazing. Back as our #1 choice for fish and chips again. Large piece of cod and the best chips around. Arrived so hot I reckon the delivery guy cooked it in his car. Will be back again next week.

We ordered a large fish and chips, mixed souvlaki and keftedes. The fish was the only good item, both the chicken and pork from the souvlaki were unbelievably dry, and completely tasteless, the keftedes had a nice taste but again we’re very dry. The chips were awful, really awful. We were really excited to try this takeaway for the first time after seeing the versatility of the menu and the amazing reviews one of the reviews even stating ‘best chips in Weston’. Waste of nearly £30.

The experience at Maria’s Fish Bar on Saturday was delightful, thanks to the lovely and friendly staff member who took my order. Their efficiency and helpfulness stood out, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. This being my second visit, I was pleased to find that the food was freshly made, adding to the overall satisfaction of the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my take out experience and can confidently say that I'll be returning in the future.

I love this restaurant and reorder often. I love Dolmades, Beef Stifado, Pagouri rice or a Chicken Slouvaki. The ingredients are always fresh. The flavours authentic. The Kourabiedes (handmade shortbread for Christmas), melted in my mouth. Delivered by a very friendly guy with a big smile. Yep. A definite thumbs up!

My partner phoned in an order which included 3 meals that we'd collect. When we got home several things were missing.. and a pie that was part of the order was dreadful. These take-aways aren't a cheap meal nowadays so we thought we'd give them a call. Not for a free meal, not for a refund, simply thought they'd want to know. The response was not what we'd hoped for. Basically, "you got what you ordered and we don't make the pies". No apology, our fault. I was stood next to my partner when she called, we definitely did not get what we wanted. Suffice to say, won't be using them again and we've used them a lot in the past. Their chips are fine, the rest..

My first time ordering. The fish and chips were lovely, but the batter was a little too “wet” for me, which I know is a personal taste, I prefer thin and crispy. But would order again :-)

I'd heard some people mention good things about Maria's in my local pub. Tonight I managed finally to check the place out. It was wonderful: great, friendly, charming and welcoming service, beautiful, well-prepared food, including the temptation for next time of home-made tzatziki, taramasalata and traditional Greek puddings for sale. They also have charcoal grills for cooking souvlaki. This was a kebab to cherish: fresh ingredients, proper meat and served as I asked for it, and as a bonus served in just paper, so no unnecessary plastic or other waste. I'll be back, for sure, even if it is a few minutes drive away from my home.

All the food was covered in actual grease the burger looked like it was pulled straight from the fryer and in to the bag so was all sweaty and batter stuck to bag same with spam fritters.
