Such a Bad Experience hear Not Go

Yes prices have increased everywhere but the increase here is way over the top. £16 for a chicken dish? Madness for a takeaway place. I ordered from here for years regularly and now they have lost mine and my friends custom being a little too greedy! Namaste Lounge and other local places have the same quality of food for a lot less whether you takeaway or eat in.

Very authentic desi/asian food. It is very pleasing to find this taste in the UK. All the dishes which we ordered were very delicious, especially Lamb on the bone karahi, saag Aloo. Highly recommend 😋

Have been ordering a few years now and even though the price has increased, its everywhere. Everything has gone up but their quality and service has been impeccable. Masala mogo is the finest I have had in this area. Well done guys

I really do love this takeaway, but it's getting a bit pricey since when we started to use it and the portion used to be more generous and also they now seem to be charging for what I would call condiments think we need to find cheaper place now

We had chicken jalfresi, vegetable kofta and pilau rice and naan. It came on time with poppadoms and sauces. It was all delicious, and enough was left over for the next day. Highly recommended.

We ordered food this evening from here and food is first class but they have got greedy with price increases. £2.50 extra from previous order of one item and a lot of smaller portions for the rest with prices for a lot of smaller portions but increased on other selections will not be using again. We have been customers for a long time and do not agree with what they are doing.

We had a long day at the swimming pool watching 28 different events, 5 of which our granddaughter was participating in. When we got back home I decided it would be a good idea to have an Indian takeaway for 4 of us. The food was excellent and for my wife and I who live in Swansea, it far exceeded our expectations, and by a mile.

Had a birthday party yesterday food is not as good as it used to be haven’t been there for awhile prefer (Bina). They don’t cook their meat long enough and they put too much spice in

Ordered and delivered within an hour by a very polite and customer friendly Mr Abbas.I have now ordered on several occasions and I have never been let down .The food arrived piping hot and as usual my family enjoyed the meal to the full.We ordered a variety of dishes and papadoms which came with dips etc .Thank you to all at Mari Masala for another outstanding meal .Keep up the good work.

Second time I have ordered from Mari Masala and for the second time the food has been piping hot and delicious.We ordered Chicken Tandoori,Chicken Dhansak ,Veg Biryani and Saag Aloo.Ordered papadoms that came with dips.Very well presented and delicious .Delivery was executed by Mohammed who was very customer friendly and covid safe .A real credit and thank you very much for making it a pleasant evening for both myself and family.I shall order again soon.I highly recommend this establishment.

I ordered from here because the reviews on Just eat were very good. Ordered two curries,naan,rice and some starters for myself and my wife. The delivery came quickly in about 30 minutes which was impressive but there was no naan in the bag. Like any customer I called the restaurant and asked them to send me a naan, after putting me on hold and speaking to his staff he kept telling me to look for a white foil bag which the naan was in but I had already told him several times that there was no naan in the bag. After a while of back and fourth he sent me another naan . Half way through my meal I got a phone call from the restaurant manager and he tells me "I've checked the CCTV footage and the naan was in the bag", I was mortified by the level of customer service and the fact that he called me half way through my meal just to try and cover up his mistake. I paused for a moment after he said all of this on the phone and as I was about to respond he just hung up the phone. I can understand a restaurant getting an order wrong or forgetting to deliver something but to call me twice and just be rude and condescending about the situation is unforgiveable. The thing that annoys me the most is that we actually enjoyed the food but the service is terrible. I now understand why it's just a takeaway place, because if it was a restaurant they would get a lot if dissatisfied customers.

I'm not from this area originally, but I moved here with my wife 6 years ago and we only tried Mari Masala after my wife's regular place from her childhood closed down. 6 years on, we're still regular customers - the food is always on time and hot (warm) & the quality is fantastic. It's often becomes our catering option when we have friends over - and they always say the same. Never disappoints.

I order weekly & find Mari the only decent take away in my area. Lovely Karahi & the best Tandoori chicken. Highly recommend. Only issue, prices have gone up since covid. Which is disappointing.

It was late afternoon when I was looking for a place to eat. I had an intense craving for the Indian food.I saw the Mari masala signboard on opposite side of Northwood hills station in HP6 postcode area. I couldn't resist myself and got in the takeaway after barking my car next to it. The person on reception helped me in choosing couple of barbecue items. It took 15 minutes to prepare all that because they cooked everything on order from fresh meet and veg. I rushed back to my office and surprised by looking at food it was the best Indian food I had ever tasted. Naan size is much bigger than any other restaurant. Sauce and salad packed professionally and included in a reasonable price offered in the menu. I recommend everyone now to experience Mari masala near Northwood hills station. I can't wait myself when I have next visit to that office or travel only to eat again from Mari masala. I thank Mari masala owner and management to maintain this quality and taste and envy those people who have chance to eat regularly from Mari masala.

Possibly the worst takeaway I’ve ever had. We ordered mild food, but the curries were spicy and the naans contained chilli seeds. When we called the restaurant to complain about this, we were informed that they were unable to make the food mild. If this was the case, why did they not tell us before we placed the order? Why wait to take our money and for us to complain before telling us this information? As for the naan, they said there was no chilli seeds, and instead were kalonji seeds which was just a blatant lie. We eat out frequently enough (or did anyway before the lockdown) to know the clear difference between chilli seeds and kalonji seeds. I really do not know who they are trying to fool here. A total SCAM. Avoid at all costs unless you want to pay through the nose for a terrible takeaway and arrogant, disgusting customer service. From what I’ve seen from other reviews, no doubt the owner will take time out to reply to deny and insult the customer in broken English. If only he bothered to put that much time and effort into treating his customers well and getting his food right in the first place!

Food was worst than trash. We ordered chilli paneer and Mogo. Told them to make it mild yet they added extra chillis and also added chill seeds to the naan bread. Absolutely crap takeaway food and expensive. Most terrible food in Northwood

To be honest I'm impressed with breakfast manu especially Halava puri and Parathas as this is 1st time we tried. Also love chicken curries and Naan bread as we always order this mostly for our lunch. Highly recommended.

Ordered their Weekend Breakfast Halwa, Puri, Channa. It was good. They gave extra portion as well. Ordered their Aalo Paratha which was bigger in size than expected.

Best Halwa Puri in Harrow, also variety of parathas to choose from. All freshly prepared. Highly recommended to all.

Visited this evening and got a takeout was delicious, will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be visiting again very soon.

This place has a 4* rating so I drove past several other Indian takeaways to get there. I was therefore very disappointed to find that all the dishes we had ordered were very similar. Brown and mushy and not very fresh tasting. I’m sorry to leave a poor review and it is OK, but definitely not worth going out of your way for. We threw away about half of what we ordered.

On Friday I pre-ordered for a party of six to be delivered at as close to 1.30 pm.on Saturday. Almost to the minute the food arrived as ordered hot and tasty as ever. Excellent service and food excellent as we have come to expect. Thank you Mari Masala.

My daughter and son in law suggested this take away as they use it a lot. They like it because you can choose the level of spice in your dishes they know I dont do well with overly spiced food.

Have been a regular for a number of years. We placed a largeish order (10-15 people) the day before we wanted it and a price was agreed including a 10% pick up discount. 15 mins before the order was due to be picked up the next day I was called to be informed they had made a mistake with the discount and i owed them another £7 (from a £130+ order). When I arrived to pick up the food i questioned them about the mistake, it turns out the 10% pickup discount only applies to certain food not all (go figure)! And they kept changing their mind about which food type was eligible. I told them they were being quite petite and this risked them losing my business over £7, the young lady just smirked and still requested payment.

Used to be decent until recently. I visited quite often but the one time I said I was unhappy they basically accused me of lying and told me to drive all the way back with the food. Never returning again. I urge you to use the maharajah instead.

Regularly use this takeaway and I would say it is excellent authentic Indian food, always freshly cooked and they ask how spicy you like it, this is especially good when you want a meal with people who do not like food hot like my wife and do. When you order it doesn't arrive in 10-15 mins as others do as it is cooked to order with the amount of spice you request, so you may wait 45 minutes but it is well worth the wait!

Ordered a home delivery for Vegetable Kofta and Chicken Jalfrazei. With boiled rice and Keema rice. When placing order my wife checked that the kofta did not contain wheat. Was advised they use corn flour. Unfortunately my wife had a reaction to the kofta's. The next day she rang and spoke to the restaurant manager and a colleague and was advised that the kofta's contain bread crumbs. She explained that they need to rectify this for future orders. Such a shame as we did enjoy the food, would order again but staff need to make sure that they clearly take on board customers allergies.

I was recommend by a friend so bought food from here and WOW the food is so tasty especially the mixed grill and chicken wings not to be missed.

Recently moved to area and picked up food from "Mari Masala", What can I say the food is at its best. Well done to the staff and will visit again and recommend you to all our friends.

It was ok, but nothing spectacular. Lacked flavour in both dishes we had and the Karahi seemed to be mainly tomato with little or no onion or capsicum. The chicken was also pretty dry and not much sauce either. The mango chutney with the popadums was thin and watery whilst the lime pickle was overly salty. We will look elsewhere next time.

This takeaway never fails. The chicken wings to start were delicious. Being able to select the heat of the dish allows you to experiment with dishes you enjoy. Large portions mean but difficult to choose what to leave off your next order. Onion Bhajees are huge. Remember if you order hot you will be breaking out in to a sweat. Always arrive earlier than they say the will which for me is a positive.

One of best Indian takeouts in the area. I'd especially recommend the mushroom rice, which is delicious.

Got very sick from the food and had issues with the staff blaming me for a mistake in the order. They eventually resolved the mistake. My husband's dish was fine though and he didn't get sick. The place has a food hygiene rating of 3 out of 5. I wish I checked that before I ordered from them!

I had read many reviews regarding this take away so I decided to try it for myself. I was delighted I did. My vindaloo was tasty and spicy. Pilau rice also very flavoursome. I will definitely be back. Well done Mari masala 👍

Found this take away around a year ago when i moved to the area, and thank god i did! Amazing food, i love their chicken madras and keema rice. Just gutted they dont have a restaurant and that they are closed on Mondays!

We regularly order take aways from Mari Masala. The food is consistently excellent, personal favourite is the butter chicken. Food is on par with Namaste Lounge so we regularly switch between the two. Delivery times always seem to be ahead of schedule too.

We have been regulars for take always for a number of years. We ordered a sag paneer today and it was far too salty so much so that it was inedible. I phoned to ask for a refund and was told that is not what they would do but she would give feedback to the chief and tell him next time to use less salt but it’s a popular dish and that’s how people like it. To be fair some customers might like over salted dishes you can’t eat but it would have been easy to offer a replacement or a refund for a long time customer. We have never complained before and won’t be using them again.

My favourite Indian takeaway closed down about 6 months ago (I know, I am weeping like you). Have tried s few others in the area but now settled on Mari Masala.

I can honestly say there is no Indian food like this anywhere locally! We must have worked our way through most dishes now and honestly, so fresh, so tasty and well seasoned, its real home cooked Indian cuisine at its finest. I don't think they advertise as well as they should - everyone needs to try this place tucked in Joel Street, its an absolute Gem!

I've had better and nothing tasted fresh. The fact that the food arrived within 20minutes confirmed this. On a plus the range on the menu seemed quite good.

Was recommended by friends and I certainly wasn't disappointed! We ordered the Chicken Balti, vegetable curry, pilau rice and roti...it was so tasty and surprisingly great value too! We will be back very soon!

We often order from the restaurant. The prices are reasonable compared with other Indian restaurants in the area. The food is good, the portions generos and the takeaway packaging is decent.

Having suffered a number of horrific Indian takeaways recently, I was genuinely concerned about the possibility of getting another but I really needn't have worried. Nicest food I've eaten in a long while. I love the fact that you can tailor your dishes so that my husband and I could have ours slightly hotter than the children's, everything tasted fresh and was cooked beautifully and there was barely a drop of oil to be seen. Love this place and will order from them every time now, can't wait to try some of their other dishes.

I ordered a meal from here last night after hearing good things about it on here.I rang ahead and asked if the food i wanted was suitable for a gluten free diet, i was assured that it was. I opted for the Fish Masala to start followed by Lamb Daba with Mushroom Pilau as my main. All of the food was really tasty and well cooked. The portions were really generous too.The delivery was prompt and the bill for the whole meal was really good value.I highly recommend Mari Masala and will be using this place as my Indian takeaway of choice.

We have ordered the takeaway a few times and tried different things each time. Every dish has been flavourful, fresh and the portions are a good size. The keema naan is a firm favourite.

We were recommended to Mari Masala as the best local place to go for an Indian takeaway and we certainly haven't been disappointed!The onion bhajis are huge!! You get three large ones per portion so don't do what we did and over order!The Baingan Masala (aubergine, tomatoes, onions in oriental spices) is absolutely delicious - and I wish I had the recipe to try and make it myself at home.The chicken korma is mild without being bland and the rice, poppadums and nan all really fresh and tasty.I'd definitely recommend Mari Masala and look forward to our next visit!

Literally some of the best Indian food I have tasted in a long time. I placed quite a large order and they got it spot on. All the food was very fresh and the meat (both lamb and chicken) was very tender and succulent. The biryani was well cooked and full of flavours. Absolute favourite of ours, really recommend this to anyone as they cater for any spice level as well; which was absolutely great for all the kids!!

It is very disheartening when you have to write such a low rated review.However, I do feel as mentioned by previous reviewer that food here is frozen then microwaved to order.As I have ordered food from here before without any issues but feel they may have changed their operations in the kitchen.The owners are extremely nice and friendly. This must be said.However, my vegetarian takeway with rice made me very ill in the evening which started with a headache then rumbling stomach and gas throughout the evening and during the night.The curry and rice was ordered and eaten within 15 minutes of take away but I suspect the RICE MAY BE SUSPECT HERE.If they are cooking vast amounts and then just heating it up, it can create upset stomach due to bacteria present in the rice and multiplying.Also potatoes in the curry some parts very hot, some inner parts cool, so not cooked to order from scratch as you'd expect.So, after a bad night, full regrets at ordering my only meal for yesterday, prior to which in the morning, I only had tea and toast.So, now only Saahibs for me. The food is not of good quality and definitely not fresh. Starters I'm certain was microwaved and mains was defrosted and still slightly cold.The bread as well was not fresh at all. Tasted like frozen breads warmed up on a frying pan. Very disappointed after reading the below reviews.

Mari Masala has become my regular indian takeaway place. It was recommended to me by friends and i can promise you i was not dissappointed. I have since recommended many of my friends to Mari Masala who all have enjoyed the food.All the staff are very friendly and i usually speak with Shirin who recognises my voice straightaway and knows exactly what i want and is good with her recommendations.All the food is prepared and packed very neatly and the portions are generous.I highly recommend Mari Masala to anyone who is looking for a tasty indian takeaway.

When I visited Mari Masala this time I noticed some different items on the menu, I tried some of the new dishes and I have to say they did not disappoint. The lucknowi kebab was something so unique, chicken mince kebab integrated with cheese did so well with kids and even I was a fan.. The gauthi chicken was also a favourite, a twist on the generic tandoori chicken and a bit spicer was really nice too.

We tried Mari Masala for the first time on a Saturday night recently. We collected the order and it only took 20 minutes to be prepared. The food was tasty although the onion bahjees weren't great. When placing our order, we were given the option of how spicy we wanted the food to be. The food is also very reasonably priced.

I just moved into the area and after trying several Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area. Mari Masala is by far the best. I fell in love with the food and the veg rice is an absolute favourite of mine. My kids love the butter chicken. The portion sizes are very generous and the service is very prompt. Anyone in the area must pop in and have a try.

The food is freshly cooked, in generous portions and you are able to specify how spicy you want any particular dish to be.Very good value for money too with complimentary poppadoms and chutneys. Second time choosing Mari Masala .. we had a previous favourite but due to discovering a poor food hygiene rating, we opted for for Mari Masala again.I had 7 friends round on Sunday night .. the order was BIG. Everyone chose something else, so many different individual dishes - mains / starters / rices / naans. The lady taking the order was very nice (despite me feeling bad for a complicated order).Food arrived in 40 minutes as promised - everything was there, everything hot, everything very tasty. Total bill £95.I was so impressed, as were all friends. I will be sticking with Mari Masala for the foreseeable future - excellent.

Got three naughty takeaways three days in a row after going so well on a diet.Lovely Aloo Tikki, Bhajias, Poppadoms and dips.Good curry, although the meat ones were on a bed of oil!On getting our third bag of food from Mari Massala (it's only takeaway) my partner was 83pence short, the owner didn't say "Oh that's ok pay next time" OR ""You have spent nearly £100 in my takeaway in three days" "That's OK" she just stared at him blankly - leaving him to go all the way back to me in the car to get the shortfall.Which then gave me feeling that was not how to repay your customers for their loyal custom.Right or Wrong?

If you want authentic, well this place is it. I'm indian and gujarati so know my way around indian food more than well! This takeaway lives up to its name. You can't eat there but the food is simply authentic, tasty with bags of flavour, no matter what you order.And should you require extra spice or anything specific in your food its done how you want it.This is the only indian me and my family order from. Its tasty and satisfying unlike its neighbours. I wouldn't bother with the likes of the Namaste Lounge unless you go there for ambiance, but the food at Mari Masala is delectable! 5 stars from me! get ordering!
