Always brilliant food. Best bakery in London. Their sourdough cholla is worth a trip itself and I am a huge fan of their home made granola. Right amount of salt vs sugar

Nice quality bit expensive bakery compared to other similar quality bakeries in north london. Have been a customer since day 1 but increasingly find myself going only if I can’t get to better bakeries of which there are now several in the area because the service is appalling , extremely rude and unfriendly. Sadly this means I rarely buy at Margot now even though it’s the nearest good bakery to me.

I am quite shocked with the rating on here. Margots is great quality coffee and baked goods and everyone we take there love it! Our favourite is the geronimo bread which we LOVE and we often buy one for friends we go to visit too! The prices are high, but this is a small business and offering quality goods so is worth the price tag entirely.

We have been coming for several times . We love the bakery goods, although the size of the croissants are very different every time . Sometimes much smaller for the price , I consider. Overall the bakery goods are delicious but the customer service is far from a good one. This morning the lady was looking very stressed and rushing although there was no quee . We are going for a coffee to relax ,not feeling in a military environment. We where looking what to choose and we felt very rushed . There is another girl very friendly and kind though. My apologies but customers must be able to have their time to look what to choose at their peace.

most expensive coffee and bakery in the area, nice staff but very unfriendly owner who couldn't care less if you raise a concern

I love this bakery it is not cheap but it is excellent proper sourdough. My favourite is the Geronimo loaf but wild garlic comes a close second. The Babka is wonderful and the cinnamon rolls are to die for. I have also found the staff helpful and mostly cheerful if they are not really busy so I am surprised to hear some of the comments. I remember during lockdown they gave loads of bread away to the local East Finchley community. . I have never eaten in so I cannot comment about the coffee. It is great to have this local to me

I have to stop myself going too often as I can't resist adding to what I went for. My favourite bakery, delicious, healthy, handmade bread. I have turned some new friends into Geronimo (many seeds) addicts who will stop inviting me for lunch if I arrive without ( don't invite Monday/Tuesday when closed!)! You pay a reasonable and above average price for the high quality that tastes like real food. Sometimes waiting a few minutes to be served allows me time to peruse the sweet treats. My favourite bread in the world!

Overpriced for what it is. The seating inside is too cramped and the prices are ridiculous for what it offers. Better places nearby

The products are massively overpriced, catering only to well-to-do locals. The coffee is tiny and for one small coffee and a cinnamon roll you pay over £7. Plus the owner is arrogant and impolite. I feel sorry for the staff who have to deal with her daily.

Delicious pastries and breads but staggeringly overpriced - 2 vegetable pastries for £12. The staff make you feel like you should feel privileged to purchase their products and to be served by them. I had intended to purchase 2 cinnamon buns as well, but was so disgusted with the server’s attitude that I resisted. Certainly will never return.

This place simply hates its customers. The service is terribly slow. They don’t accept cash and don’t care about the time people waste waiting for them outside.

I’ve been a local for more than 20 years and only recently heard of this bakery. Today was my first visit. I bought three items: 1. “soft galette dough, filled with with Spinach, Ricotta, Feta, Spring Onion & Garlic”: flavoursome, well balanced filing wrapped in a beautiful, light, perfectly cooked dough. By far the best I’ve ever had of this type. 2. “Sbriciolata al Limone”: exquisite lemon tart topped with crumble. All elements perfect. Delicious creamy lemon filling, not too sweet. Pastry base biscuity and crisp. Just right. Really excellent. 3. “Margot made with 100% Wild farmed grain flour”: this is a loaf. Fresh still warm from the oven with a lightly crispy crust and perfect slightly chewy crumb with a deliciously complex flavour. Perfect. I feel very fortunate to be a local and I’m sure to be a regular.

If the owner could pich her staff the way she bakes the sourdough bread, then the place would have been perfect. Just a reminder that a small local village shop is depending on its customers and relays on a customer relations... otherwise, the place is surrounded by bakeries and coffee shops. Ohh yeh.. one more thing - a bakery should have a slicing machine... Don't you think?

We just love the breads in Margot Bakery and the Challah bread is the most delicious one I ever had in my life. I really like that I can purchase some other products too such as farm milk, oat milk, organic eggs and veggies. I really like the staff as well, they are kind and helpful, and someone mentioned that they are sour. Well I don't agree. They are real humans and being tired sometimes maybe which is normal. I don't like those places where the staff is forced to have a fake smile on all the time. Thanks for your hard work and delicious bakeries dear Margot Bakery Staff.

Strange experience. Good food but strangely rude staff. As if they’re doing you a favour by looking up acknowledging you. Never felt less welcome.
