Marchetti Leo in Glasgow City

Usually go here one a month but last nite not the usual fryer Fish was overcook very greasy and chips had been lying for ages . Bought a large special supper and a large battered fish supper Any time we get a large fish supper the fish are a good size and one large supper is plenty for both of us .Fish were small last nite but was charged the same price. And because the fish had been overcooked the ends were too crispy to eat . First time this has happened to me but I was not impressed last nite

Tried this chippy for the first time tonight, fish was fresh and amazing, will be back to try more of the menu, the guy frying the food was a nice wee man.

Always my go to for a fish supper but never again, asked for large fish supper regular fish supper, 2 fritters and a gravy. Once I got home I had no fritters , gravy was cold and congealed and the amount of chips wouldn't feed one person, also the chips were poor my son couldn't eat his as they were hard! Possibly no fritters as the staff and a guy on the customer side of the counter were too busy discussing their work schedules. Doubt I'll be back

Paid £8.50 for one piece of fish and a portion of chips. I did agree to the price so not an issue. Fish was ok but chips were disgusting. Definitely not fresh potatoes. Went in the bin. Won't return

Got a large fish n chips delivered which cost £15.60. It arrived cold and wasn't in my option large. Two small pieces of fish and a small portion of chips. Owner replied and can't spell Baillieston correctly and here's my receipt.

3 hours for delivery worst service ever!!!

just got a delivery there ordered fried pizza and 2 bits of fish i ended up with fish supper and another 2 bits of fish.how can they get it wrong its online🙄

Best fish and fritters I have tasted in a long while

Best Traditional Fish n Chip shop in the area. Food is fantastic, staff are all lovely and so helpful. Plenty of choice for a Take Away menu.

So recently moved area and needed a new chipshop that the kids liked (my children have autism and so have food sensory issues) this place does amazing pizzas which my daughter seems to love as she refuses every type of frozen or homemade pizza but will devour the cheese one and its the only time I can get her to eat cheese.

The shops stood the test of time, over many years, due to quality of food and great staff. Fish is always lovely. Well deserved 5*

A Baillieston institution, try their Large Special Fish Supper, at time of writing this was £10 - you get two large haddock and loads of chips, so really 2 fish suppers. As it's a special super you need to wait as it'll be freshly fried, but it's well worth it. 👍

Top quality oven pizza and superb chips. Friendly and polite staff.

A chip shop where if you ask for a sausage supper the 1st they say is "we are just waiting for chips", why?you are a chip shop, what does the fryer do all night?

Moved here 2 years ago and tried a few different chippies before discovering Leo's and I feel I've missed out for the last 2 years. Top tier chippy, fish is fantastic, sausage great too and crispy fritters. 10/10 new favourite chippy here.

Ordered a 16" pizza, chips, onion rings & mushrooms tonight for delivery when it arrived it was wrong pizza, everything else was cold, phoned them up they told me they would make me another pizza went & picked it up this time,got it home & the pizza wasn't cooked property the base was raw the mushrooms were solid & the cheese was like chewing gum absolutely disgusting.

Glad it’s back open,pizza is still amazing

Over 1 hour for delivery we stay round the corner from shop call shop say its just left still not here 15 mins later then it comes and was stone cold will not order from here again

Food is Great & Always Fresh ..... Old Lady Serving Is Rude , Unfriendly & Ruins the Whole Picture

Been here 3 times and every single time the order wrong or they forget something!!! I always go back and give them a chance but after a long day at work and you just want a simple dinner and this place forgets suppers in your order that is enough. The 2 old cows who work there have attitudes worse than a 10 year old and look like they can't be bothered working!!!!

I have just purchased a Large Special fish Supper and a portion of fritter,s from this shop after a long time of not using it, due to bad food and customer service. The fish was Frozen and very dry and bland, it wasn't cooked properly, the chip.s where terrible and had loads of rotten bit,s on them ! The Fritter.s didn't have much potato in them ! and were soggy ! i don't recommend this fish and chip shop to anyone ! it is a Disgrace to serve the public food like this ! and this shop is doing the People of Baillieston and the surrounding area, a dis-service ! I wouldn't take my dog here for something to eat, Because it probably wouldn't eat it ! Avoid if you don't want to waste your money ! These Owners will never learn !!!!! I have rated this one star ! but to be honest i wouldn't even have given it a minus 5 !!!!!!!!!

Being going to Leo's since I was a kid and still to this day enjoys there food would recommend this chip shop to everyone

Asked for chips and gravy with cheese chips came with a tea spoonful of gravy on top and plastic cheese very disappointed so if phoning and asking for gravy make sure u tell them too actually put the gravy on the chips!!!! 😕

Used to love Leo's but last couple of times the chips haven't been as great as normal...

Very gd service in shop and very fast deliverys

Went in just after 1.00pm today 18th December for a portion of chips. Worst portion of chips I have had. Looked like reheats tasted like reheats and they went in the bin. Would not recommend this place and would certainly not be rushing back.

Went here for a small fish supper. And what can I say it was substandard. You only get half a slice of fish and a very little portion of grubby chips. Will not be going back as it wasn't worth the £4.80 I spent on it

The best chippy on Main Street only problem is when the owners not working the frying not at it's best
