Was in the thornhill branch and ordered a chip roll , took ages aswell . Must have been about 12 chips in the roll ? Hardly worth 4 quid , more like £1.50 . Very disappointing

Very cheap bit to get food but very good quality.

I’m a regular customer in the lincluden shop but after the last couple of weeks I don’t think I’ll be back. I’ll go into the shop around 730/7:45 to get my breakfast for work which I start at 8:30. The staff and the service is very slow and I feel that the staff are never in a rush to serve people they would rather stand and bag rolls/ speak to each other or trying to put other staffs customer orders through the till when then could be serving this is whilst there is multiple people in the que.

Someone needs to have a word with the burns statue bakery to let them know if a potato is burnt to the point of being literally black it’s best just to bin it rather than still serve it to paying customers! This was honestly revolting, could taste nothing but a horrible burnt taste even when trying to eat around it, I genuinely wouldn’t even give my dog that. So disappointed they would actually give that to customers when it was clearly inedible, which the staff would see unless they are blind.

when im in dumfries i mainly visit the delightfull shop at the top of the vennel for a hot roll and delicious latte the shop has now been gutted and reafitted to high standard the cakes are always looking pefect and tasty the coffee marchbanks use at there shops is the best take away coffee the selection of fillings again made by there team is very tasty all in all put these together with the excellent friendly staff and youve got perfection

Found this shop after a little hunting but worth it food is V/G

Had Scottish pie it was ment to hot but was not much heat in it very disappointing do that not take the temperature ment to meet correct temperature with thanks regards M G MILLS

By far best bakers in Dumfries and Galloway I use the dalbeattie shop which has 3 great staff Kerry val and Abby always very welcoming and have lots of tasty goodies esp vals amazing cheese ham and mushroom quiche by far best quiche I’ve ever tasted great team in here although so has castle Douglas with Maria. Called in today when every other place in Dumfries was over-run by people doing their last minute Christmas Shopping. What a find! Best Breakfast I have ever been served in any cafe, and in immaculately clean and tidy surrounds. The staff was very busy, but without exception, they all had smiles as though you were the only person in the world who was eating there. This is very rare anywhere, but the last thing I expected to find on an Industrial estate. The breakfast was superbly cooked and very fresh and considering I only had their 'standard' breakfast, it was incredible. Normally, in other places, this sort of breakfast just has a measely scrap of bacon, one sausage, a fried egg and a potato scone. This one had 3 sausages, a mountain of bacon (beautifully cooked too!) a little dish of baked beans, a Lorne Sausage, a fried egg and a potato scone! The toast I ordered seperately came with a very ample pot of butter (not those silly little butter pats that don't have enogh in them to cover half a slice of toast let alone a full slice) and a huge cup of delicious coffee. Well done, Marchbank Bakers - you are simply the best!

Staff have a major attitude problem!! The large lady has no customer service abilitys, can't take an order, no smile nothing!! I don't understand why someone with this attitude would even consider a counter customer service position or even a management that would even turn a blind eye such rude and obnoxious attitude!!!

Shocking lack of customer care at the Thornhill branch. I have a gluten sensitivity - note, NOT allergy - and ordered a weekly spelt loaf, a bread I enjoy and tolerate well in my diet. I travelled 12 miles into the village and 12 miles back to collect it on Saturdays & twice there has been no loaf there when I've gone in to collect it. No apology, no response or even a show of concern at my complaint I've travelled so far for a pre-ordered loaf just to be told only two arrived that morning, as though that was explanation enough. Why take my order at all then? Marchbank's response to my complaint on their Facebook page was to give me a drawn out explanation of the fact the loaf was not gluten free and that I should have asked etc etc - I know my own condition, thanks. I said I can tolerate this bread. Sadly, I cannot tolerate this bakery anymore. R Littles in Moffat are far friendlier and kinder. We'll be shopping there from now on.
