Brilliant service with great food and the drink I love Pepsi Max and not many Pub's do that.

We come in atleast once a month for food. Never been dissapointed. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Food is always spot on. Many more visits to come!

Ordered pizza and gammon steak when ordered arrived both where cold,took orders back to complain,a member of staff come over to apologise and said that we would get a fresh order,when the next order came,that was hot and was very nice,pity they couldn't do that the first time without having to complain ,but overall the experience will not put me off coming again.

Quiet, food was okay. Pizzas including the garlic bread needed cooked a little more, quite floppy and the garlic bread was swimming in grease. Fish and chips were a solid 7. Thought I'd treat my man to his fav, sticky toffee pudding but he said it was definitely store bought and even with ice cream was way too dry. Iv never seen him leave sticky toffee pudding before but he did.

Louise Turner was excellent at serving us! We also had food allergies which was catered for!

Steak night for 2, Thursday 10 Oct 2024. The Rump Steak was perfection Medium Rare. Renaldo the Chef definitely knows how to cook a steak. Succulent, juicy, melted in the mouth 10/10. Can honestly say I've had a Steak from Miller & Carter and this was just as good. Compliments to Renaldo.

Sunday lunch could have been hotter otherwise a great place to eat .

Staff is very helpful and friendly and the food is excellent. The peas, in particular, were beautiful (and I never go into raptures about vegetables)! It was so very nice to sit in a restaurant without being forced to endure invasive, lound, highly irritating "music" (and I use that term in the loosest possible way). Lovely experience and will be returning more often from now on.

We booked two tables in the dog friendly area for a family meal for our daughter’s 16th birthday (05.10.2024). Ryan and the team were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure everything was just perfect! I’d dropped a little birthday banner in and a ‘16’ badge, earlier in the week, and asked if they could be used to decorate the tables…however, when we arrived, Ryan had organised for a HUGE number 16 balloon to be there too! What a lovely surprise that was, and so thoughtful! The service on the day was faultless and the food was delicious! All of the 8 meals were lovely - my Dad actually said it was the nicest fish and chips he’d had in years! Thank you to everyone at The March Hare - we couldn’t have asked for more! 🫶🏻

Haven't been here for a while, so tried today. Ordered the chilli chicken kebab. Chicken was thigh, not breast. But it doesn't say this on the menu. Thigh is fatty and awful. The waitress though was lovely and knew something wasn't right. She got my wife and I a chicken breast each which made up for it.

Super venue food was excellent and service was great

Probably the best steak I've had in years. Also amazing staff, from the bartender who helped my 89 year old mother, to the waitress who was just lovely. Will visit again.

Must Visit!! I went here for a brief lunch with my family, ended up staying much longer than expected due to LOVING the place! Atmosphere is amazing, but nothing tops the quality of food. The Sunday Lunch blew me away, and for the price? I'd have it everyday if I could. All the staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming. I went for the Roast beef. upgrading it to a large and was simply stunned by the portion sizes, I was there for roughly 2 hours and still couldn't finish my plate! (Even though it tasted soooo good!) This is a must visit, must view location, I am so glad I stayed and want to thank the staff for the longlasting memories I made here. 10/10.

My husband was very disappointed no mixed grills available as he had really enjoyed this on our last visit definitely needs better food stock management.

Good pub, friendly staff. Let down by the microwave food. I wouldn't recommend this as as place to eat.

Lovely & welcoming Claire was very helpful

Food gave my husband food poisoning. He was violently ill shortly after the meal. Our drinks didn't come out to us even though they were on the same order, we had our meal without drinks even though we reminded the staff passing by our table twice that we still needed them. We then had to go up to the bar after our meal to get our drinks. Staff dropped cutlery and didn't pick it up, a knife and fork remained on the floor in a heavy traffic area for the majority of our meal which is a hazard. Whilst my husband was in the rest room, the staff took his half eaten meal, without asking anyone at the table if he was finished. My friend next to me was actively eating her chips left on her plate, before the staff started taking the plate, saying I will take that if you're finished, whilst actively removing it. Not giving my friend a chance to say no. Overall, the food was poor and so was the service.

Bad experience, taking the cutlery away just has I started my meal, had to go to next table to get a knife

Food amazing as always and so was our lovely waitress Louise. She is always so positive whenever we are in. She is always so lovely and welcoming. She made up for the other rude staff member (woman with blonde hair). Thanks again Louise for your lovely service!! You are amazing x

Pamula was a great server very pleasant and chatty

Very popular place, called on a Wednesday day night and it was choc o block. Food was very average, but eatable. Would visit again

It was OK... nothing special about the food, weird spicy dressing on the salad which kind of spoiled it, but it was a friendly place with nice service

Came for quiz night and dinner. Ordered the light pizza. As good as any Italian, and a lovely salad too. Service quick and friendly. Will be coming again!!

Lovely experience with my family here, food is wonderful and Brianna is such good help.

Food and surroundings fine. Ridiculous method of ordering by joining a long single line of people waiting to be served pints with just one person at the bar. Online ordering from table never worked once. On first entering you have to join this long queue where elsewhere you are usually met by a staff member and you say I have a table booked and are taken to your table. This really needs looked into. I've not experienced this at any other pub. Reply to owner response 09/09/24 We spoke to a team member who said to join the queue. When seated we spoke to team member who said to use the web via scan at table which didn't work. When we informed them of this they wouldn't take the order but told us to join the queue again. You are digging a hole for yourself by lieing. Other tables were in the same queue too. 🙄

Only downside is the choice of ales. Could do with more draught ales. Lovely meal out with friends.

Did not like the idea of booking time slots,8-30pm-10-00pm then literally just ordered drinks,then the staff asking us to order food as soon as possible as the kitchen was closing at 9-00pm which we did not know about,we wanted to order a 3 course meal but ended p just having a main course and left the pub at about 9-30pm,not a great experience and won't be returning there again

Great service from luke, made me a special drink to request, "lukes tropical affair" and it was spectacular, service was amazing all around

Visited the March Hare a couple of days ago for lunch very enjoyable experience great service lovely proper cooked food and it was nice when staff can be bothered to come to our table and check if our meals were ok highly recommend this place its so much better than the White Heifer that traveled in Darlington will definitely be back again a big thanks to the staff .

Even though the pub was busy the service was very efficient as were the staff. Friendly too. We all enjoyed the dishes we had.

Good food and drink, service was good, waited a little bit at bar to order food as there was only one person serving, asked what's the difference between an extra large Sunday roast (extra 2 squid) and a normal size, lad didn't know so asked kitchen, answer was extra slice of Beef and extra Yorkshire pudding (i recieved 2 decent slices of beef and 1 Yorkshire pudding) so would be interesting to see a standard meal and extra extra large side by side for reference. Anyway, like i said, starters were nice, and Sunday roast was nice. Better than Toby Carvery (Carlisle).

We love the march hare, they're pet friendly and a chill atmosphere for the easily over stimulated, they're also pet friendly so we love bringing our cats and parrot here. Alex is particularly lovely, so easy to chat to, great with drink recommendations and amazing at decorating Christmas trees!

Food is typical chain pub food. It's not too bad. Alcoholic Drinks are quite expensive. Was a while ago we went.

We visited the March Hare for my Mother in Laws birthday. It was the first time we had visited. We were looking for somewhere new to make memories. The menu was great for us as we knew that it had something for everyone. Some of us had a main meal and a few had starters for main meals. It was not a problem to be able to do this. The staff were very kind and friendly and nothing was any trouble to them. They are very accommodating. The March Hare is very clean and tidy. We felt comfortable where we were sat but we know it wouldn't have been a problem if we wanted to move seats. My daughter is visually impaired and it was great for her as it was well lit she could read the menu. The music was at an appropriate level to listen to whilst enjoying time having your meal. We ordered food for 8 people and it came out swiftly and all together. Nobody was missed out and the changes we asked for to the food were given. The food was hot and tasty. The cutlery and tables were clean and tidy. We all had dessert and they were gorgeous!!! Especially the blood orange brownie with ice cream !!! Overall a very clean, tidy, spacious, friendly and welcoming establishment. We are definitely coming to visit again on my daughters birthday. We are looking forward to it and we have recommended you to all our friends and family. Thank you and see you all soon.

Really good cowboy burger and fries, came with a pint of Pepsi Max on an offer £11.75 I believe ( other burgers and drinks available) Tasty food, fairly quick, staff pleasant, Pub,quiet today and a little bit sticky/ grubby on seating. Generally, I would recommend.

Used to have great pizzas - not sure what has happened but what was served up on Sunday night was poor. Small pizzas with hardly any toppings at all. Very poor VFM. unlikely to return

Amazing food and drinks. I was away for the weekend with my friend and my two dogs. The staff were super accommodating and I loved that there was also a dog menu! My girls enjoyed their sausages! My meal was fantastic and the service throughout was great. The part that topped our visit was the amount of choices on the gluten free menu. My friend asked for the gf choices and was given a whole different menu. She said that from experience lots of places do not offer this, or will only have curry as their option. She had a fantastic meal and said it is the best gf food she has had in a pub/restaurant for a very long time. If we lived locally, we would definitely dine again.

It's a lovely gastro pub and has a very nice patio / beer garden to accompany. I dined with 2 others and we thoroughly mulled over the menu. My Mrs and I have been a few times and enjoyed the mega menu items. However, we settled on sharing items and mixed grills which were delicious. Very nice relaxed atmosphere in there and happened to a pub quiz night too. Both a positive and a negative, the staff were so attentive that they whipped away plates despite not all the party had finished which was a little awkward. Very nice and polite throughout mind you. The app to order failed too but we swiftly ordered at the bar instead.

Seems a lot of changes in new staff with limited experience again adding to queues due to poor service and obviously lack of experience yet continue to have excellent service with one staff member Ryan who goes above and beyond in providing excellent service promptly takes your order, helpful with dietary requirements, professional friendly service with a welcoming attitude.

Lively relaxing place to eat...

I wasn't sure about booking as the last meal we had at March Hare was over 5years ago.im so pleased we did,our friends live 15 miles north of venue and we live 14 miles west so perfect for a lunch time meet up. The service was excellent,the meal was really good for the four of us and we were in a quiet corner which was just as well as we never stopped talking. My friend said her chicken tikka masala was excellent and when were we coming back! We have made arrangements to meet up in May so will be visiting you soon if not sooner.

All of the staff were so friendly and professional while watching the semi final football, it was a great atmosphere and would definitely come back again

Assistant manager Steve yesterday appears to be a real genuine bloke. Came in with my two girls for bite to eat and his thumbs up and his attention to detail was brilliant. Had fish and chips and few drinks. Came in month or so ago he seemed a bit nervous but the family interaction was just as good. Fish and chips was nice and crispy See you next month

Respect earlier this evening to the staff at the March Hare. Friendly welcome followed by a somewhat lengthy wait for our food, but we understood they were a few down in the kitchen. Plightly explained to us and given an estimated time for it to be served. Only some minutes later our food arrived with genuine apologies and a generous offer of a drink on the house. Given the staff must have been under pressure the food was superb, they were super professional, and importantly worked together as a cohesive team to ensure customers were looked after despite the situation. Our first time here and we will be returning for sure!

We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were wonderful and made our lunch very special. the pub was very clean and very well managed and the food was perfect and beer was just as good. we will come here again and we have booked christmas lunch here now as well .

Great place to eat with the family there is a playground for the children and a bar for the adults, the food is also really good the steak and chips is my personal favourite
