Mansons in Bury

This place has been right on my doorstep for a few years, but never bothered until fairly recently. Had a few meals now, and I'm mostly impressed. The salt n pepper chips, salt n pepper fish, veg chow mein, egg fried rice, all deserve a mention. Very nice. They need to visit Happy Seasons down the road in Whitefield to learn how to make prawn toast though.

I have been ordering from these for years but this time there was bone in the meat in the spring roll and I felt a bit off the day after, not sure if because late on a Sunday and last of the offerings but I couldn't eat any more after finding that, had to bin the lot. Shame but have to leave an honest review.

Wrong food delivered AGAIN. Spoilt what was a nice quiet evening. yes we may be refunded but whay will we now eat???

Always fresh hot beautiful food

Fish and chips twice fish was a very thin slither surrounded by thick greasy batter and chips refried from dinner time just awful. Such a shame used to be a great chippy.

Best Chinese I've ordered in a while, everything was hot and tasty, the crispy shredded beef and the batter on the chicken was the best I've had in a long time. My only slight criticism would be more seasoning/msg on the seaweed but was still good. 10/10 will be ordering again

Waited over an hour for the food, don’t buy the prawn crackers they were stale and chewy not fresh at all which isn’t on what you now pay for them.

The won tons could be hotter.I have to wrap them in foil or they would be cold before I finished. Usually nice and hot though and friendly delivery drivers

Nice food- shame about the 2hour and 15 min wait. Ordered at 6 pm- delivery was due 7.20-7.40pm (long but acceptable). Eventually arrived 8.15 after chasing 3 times.

Just when you thought it couldnt get any better. Succulent beautiful large juicy mushrooms, perfectly cooked onions. Tender and not overcooked shrimps, fluffy soft boiled rice. And the best tasting curry sauce ive ever had. And ive had a few. Mansons please never close down. Hope your there forever. I love your food. Will try something else soon when I can drag myself away from my favourite dish. 😀

wrong order,ordered salt and pepper ribs I got different ones.Food is always great from here ordered dozens of times,never had a problem.

Food was very greasy and poor quality. Also very expensive. I won’t order from here again.

Delivery time was excellent with a friendly driver. Unfortunately, the food was a bit bland and the chicken in the starters (salt and pepper chicken and satay skewers) was really tough and impossible to bite through just with teeth so needed to use cutlery. The satay sauce was nice though and the rice was alright.

Food was amazing. Definitely will be my regular Chinese from now on!

Ordered from here a few times, never had any issues (they make the tastiest fried rice in Bury) but tonight the chicken chop suey was spicy and it never usually is. Didn’t enjoy it at all

Food was lovely and hot. Succulent mushrooms and onions. Very juicy. Curry sauce unbelievely good. Hot and spicy. You can tell all the food is fresh. Lots of shrimps too. I love this meal. I could eat it every day. Thankyou. Mansons. 10/10. Chinese food is my favourite food. And always will be.

ordered special fried rice and some veg spring rolls, the spring rolls tasted like they were fried in old oil, and the fried rice was greasier than normal

Disgusting, used to be decent. We got crispy bacon in place of beef. When I rang up to challenge it she laughed at me and put the phone down. Avoid

Good place for Chinese takeaway food.

The chow mein was burnt and tasted like the chef had scaled it of the bottom of the pan and the salt and pepper ribs 7.70 for nothing but bone and grissle fat one rib out of 6 with abit of meat on it completely disgusting joke these take aways are getting worse and worse last time i ordered from here the omolete was under cooked never ordering again from this chinese😖

The quality of food was absolutely gorgeous. I was so annoyed as food arrived almost an hour early which would usually be great but I’d scheduled a later delivery due to other plans. After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they resolved it and honestly couldn’t have asked for hotter/better food

Just had takeaway, delivered on time but food awful. Prawn toast has never seen a prawn, won ton soup also without prawns and tasteless. Chicken in ok sauce was in sweet sauce very sickly. Rice was brown not white. Whole thing was inedible . £25 down the drain. Never again

Wonderful meal. Had'nt eaten since breakfast so was extra hungry. Very nice tasting curry sauce. Succulent juicy mushrooms, and juicy onions in the shrimp curry. Lovely light crispy veg. sprng rolls. All washd down with ice cold diet coke. This meal would have won a Michelin star from me. Thankyou.

The food was good, but I ordered chicken and cashew nuts, and there were hardly any cashew nuts, maybe six or seven and the chips were a little under done. Our previous meals have been better

Absolutely flew here, was with us 25 minutes after ordering despite the expected time being 1:30-1:50 after ordering. All good is good too.

Awful food, chips hard and tasted like frozen chips. Pudding hard, gravy disgusting and sweet. Peas were ok all 12 of them.

The ribs were ok, but the special fried rice had next to no meat and was poorly cooked. the chips tasted like they had been reheated rather than cooked fresh. unfortunately this place is definitely on the avoid list for us.

Salt and pepper spare ribs were very fatty and parts were inedible. Nowhere near worth the price.

Food was hot, and plentiful, the sweet sour chicken was very tasty

First time ordering from here and so glad we did. This is my new Chinese now. Everything was piping hot. My partner had the special curry which he said was so good. I had special sweet and sour which was also nice. We had ribs in honey sauce they got to be the best ribs iv had. Even the chips was nice proper chips. Yeah so will definitely be ordering again!! :)

Had soft noodles as part of the order, and the soft noodles were only noodles 🍜 no onions or beansprouts. I'm not going there again .
