Mansion House in West Berkshire

We stayed over in Reading from London and happy to say the food and service was exemplary. Portions were amazing and Manager was profession (even though they were short staffed). By far the best harvester I been to and highly recommend going. A very happy (returning) customer

Very attentive and polite staff and more than happy to assist with any request. We booked afternoon tea and were very happy, lovely selection including a couple of savoury items. Scones were very slightly warmed which was a nice touch and free flowing tea - you choose your own from a selection of tea bags. Had to bring two cakes as were just too full to manage all of the food

Beautiful meal served with such attention to detail, amazing! Will definitely return and look forward to another fabulous evening.

We had a lovely Afternoon Tea here looking out at the gardens. We sadly didn't get the names of the people serving us but it was a gentleman who I assume was the manager and another lady. They were both very attentive and provided exceptional service. If you're able to pass on our thanks, we had the afternoon tea on Saturday 12th March.

Came as part of large group. Managed to order what was on menu. Staff served you on salad bar. Food arrived in good time and was hot. Good choice of desserts . Waitress Beth was very attentative.

The food when we got it was very good, they were very busy so it was a little slow to begin with, so when our starter came it was a little stale, but we spoke to the manager about it and she was very helpful in sorting it with a replacement immediately. Her name was Liz. Beautiful person inside and out and very grateful to her for her swift customer service and friendliness to me and my partner. I recommend the View to anyone who stays at this hotel. 10/10

Recently had a lovely afternoon tea here; lovely surroundings and great food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Andrew and Anne, the young lady who served us our tea.

Great afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. Chef made me my own gluten free food, which was very nice. Great afternoon.

Business is refurbished in March 2019. Service and food quality have improved massively. Parking system is installed to control nuisance parking.
