Manoly Thai Restaurant in Southend-on-Sea

We have been coming to Manolys for years and the food is always fabulous the staff are always very accommodating and go above and beyond to cater for our every need. Our favourite Thai restaurant The Best .

We went here with our friends have not been for a while. The food was nice but the prices for food drink and service are outrageous and as a result I don’t think we will go again. Mains are considerably more expensive than the takeaway menu and the portions are much smaller. The sticky rice was £4.75 and these were pre packed/purchased portions in plastic wrappers that sat on the plates like a lump of putty! They were not nice at all and were certainly just a gimmick served in a grass container. Many of the mains had lots of vegetables and not much meat. The wine list was very expensive with a half decent sauvignon costing £30 a bottle. This, like everything else is subject to service charge so it’s actually £33 a bottle. Outrageously the small tiger beers are £5 each again this is far too much. The staff were all pleasant and efficient but we still wouldn’t of left a £16 tip! The restaurant was dark and lighting was poor. There was no ambience to the restaurant the tables look stark and empty. It wasn’t busy on a Thursday which given the prices we were not slightly surprised. The food was good but not amazing and we decided on the basis of this experience we won’t be in a hurry to go back.

Used to be great, but now average tasteless food (at least the set menu was) at a fairly expensive price. Shame as I used to love this place but there are better value tastier options.

This was our 1st visit here in a few years. We used to come here alot pre COVID and always loved the food and atmosphere. We came here yesterday around 7pm and straight away saw the layout was different and the atmosphere wasn't the same. The food as always was really nice, it is pricey but you know that your getting good food. We had an issue with the soup not coming up with the starters but no one told us this until we asked. It would of been nice to have been told . Like I said food was really good. Then the restaurant became full off all large groups . So definitely avoid this place if you want a quiet meal . Again the atmosphere here is definitely not the same as it used to be. We couldn't here ourselves talk. I know this may sound petty but just wanted to put it out there

We went here for a family celebration when we arrived were told that only had the table for 2 hours but was not advised this when we booked otherwise would have gone else where. Food was average , small portions for the price.

We visored here recently and we’re surprised at just how good it is we used to go years ago but had tried other restaurants in recent years. The food was very tasty hot and well presented with good portions of meat. We really enjoyed it and would go again. Our only criticism is that the prices on the menus did not reflect the final bill. I think all the dishes were a pound or so more expensive than what the menu stated and this should be clarified.

Came here with a friend. Food was great and portion sizes adequate. It was a touch pricey but thai food always is. Could've done with some local Thai beers.

Myself and partner ordered King Prawn Green Curry which was awful. It was terribly sweet I almost felt sick. It was also a strange colour and too creamy. It also wasn’t hot enough as in flavour. If a waitress asked how was it, I was going to say. I wanted to send it back but didn’t like to make a fuss. Also very quiet in restaurant-we we’re almost the only ones in so no atmosphere. Food served hot and pleasant staff.

Its hard to rate this review, so i have gone with average, but half the meal was perfection, whereas half wasn't, I'll leave you to make up your own minds. We will make a return visit of our own at some point, to see if it was just a one-off. Met my daughter here for a lunch treat. We've eaten here often, lunches, dinners, takeaways and supported the restaurant through lockdown too. Food was always delicious despite the menu changing many moons ago and the house salad being removed, which was a favourite of mine especially. But i forgive them lol We always share a selection of starters and ordered spring rolls, satay, tempura and ribs. All wonderful, presented well, food was amazing and even the garnish tasted fabulous. Finger bowls provided along with linen napkins, plus wine, water and other beverages. Again, clean sparkling glasses and tableware, pleasantly served by our waitress who was excellent. Then our mains arrived. Of Phad Thai and Green curry. My green thai chicken curry was immediately returned. It was so sweet and an unusual colour of green and nothing like their usual flavour or consistency. Tasted absolutely awful. The waitress, apologised and dealt with it all politely and promptly. The phad thai, which my daughter had not had before, did not look so great to me, ( i said nothing as looks can often be deceiving) and she dipped the chopsticks in & began to eat. As we sat talking i could see her pushing the food around bowl with the chopsticks and asked her how her food was, her facial expression said it all. It tasted like it looked, over cooked, stodgy and bland in comparison to the beautiful starters. My daughter did not wish to send it back, as we had already complained with my meal and she said she had, had starters so would not allow me to say anything. The waitress could obviously see the food had hardly been touched and asked if there was a problem to which my daughter responded that it wasn't great and she had not liked the dish. We were not charged for the returned curry but charged for everything else. Which we expected (my adult daughters choice at the end of the day). Hoping this was a one off and they have not changed their chef? watch this space!

Today we travelled from Southend just have lunch here, only to find out kitchen is closed. They said they close at 15:00, we arrived at 14:20 but they just wont let us order. Better to say close at 14:00 if you can’t keep up at 15:00. So disappointed, i won’t return here again. Rubbish marketing, pure laziness

Visited Manoly’s on a Friday evening, they had been before, first time for us. Great food, great service, nice atmosphere, very reasonably priced. However don’t like a 10% service charge being added to the bill as we prefer to tip table staff directly.

Great, Thai Food, good service, comfortable and busy. One thing I did not like, they add 10% service charge onto the bill, no matter what, and the waitress was uncertain if this money was passed onto her as tips. I like this practise, it distorts the prices shown on the menu, food and drink. I prefer to tip my waitress directly.

We got a delivery. The lady on the phone was lovely, it came swiftly and was delicious! The southern chilli tofu was incredible!

Didn’t eat..: Ordered a take away at 6:50 for collection at 7:25. Arrived at 7:30 by bicycle to be told it would be another 20 minutes. Went back and told another 20 mins more …no apology. No discount. No sale. Do not order from here as they don’t care about customer service. Try Tudor house or sopa Thai.

We had arranged a night out with friends and chose to go to Manolys for a Thai meal as we had been several times in the past and the food and atmosphere were excellent! We were shocked to see a very reduced menu and asked to have the Tom Yam soup which wasn’t on it! We did get the soup but it was nothing like we had had in the past ! The rest of our meal was mediocre at best! Every dish tasted the same and more Chinese than Thai flavours! Also the wine we had wasn’t very good either! This was such a shame as we had been looking forward to it for ages! We won’t be going again!

Service was very bad and the food was very sloppy just had Thai noodles will not be going back ever again As did not care when told food was sloppy not happy 🙏😠

Visited for about our 10th time wanted a special meal for our anniversary, They never disappoint food is as good as Thai food gets. Great service. Covid friendly. Highly recommended

IF we were to choose one restaurant for a guaranteed gastronomic delight it has always been Manoly Thai in Leigh-on-Sea. We first went there back in the 90's and it remains our favourite. The quality of the food and flavour is consistent, we have never had a disappointing dish. We are so glad it is open again after lockdown. The prices have gone up a little bit but you can understand the need for businesses to cope with the reduced table covers. Staff always friendly and fun. We have been to Thailand a few times and eaten amazing food, Thai food is aromatic, light and sophisticated in appearance. Leigh-on-Sea is blessed with good restaurants but if you are looking for this cuisine, Manoly Thai is the place to be. Highly recommend.

Debbie and I went to Manoly's last night for my birthday and I can honestly say it was superb. The staff were very attentive and the food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. If you love Thai food, then I highly recommend this restaurant .

Came here with a party of 6, I have been before and always enjoy it, the food and atmosphere is very good and the staff are prompt and friendly. We came for the eat out to help out scheme but the menu we were given had the prices increased - little stickers stuck over the old prices. I knew this was wrong from being before and looking at the menu on there website earlier that day. Thought it was abit cheeky to do that; still the food was amazing as always.

I really don’t understand the bad reviews to this place . I must of been here a dozen times and can’t fault the place at all. Attentive,friendly staff . Nice atmosphere and delicious food. I recommend the Red Snappers , Pit of torture beef, sticky rice ,phad thai, and a yellow curry. Then wash it down with a couple of ice cold Singas . What more do you want?

We have always ordered from Manolys in the past - not very often as it’s expensive and seen as a treat But we have always enjoyed it. We ordered a take away last weekend only to receive half empty containers with water pumped chicken. Cheap and nasty when you have spent £60 on a take out for 4 people!! Also the king prawn pad Thai we ordered had 3 prawns in it. Not even a prawn each. It’s cutting corners... it’s greedy and I would never go back. I also wrote to them to ask them to explain why they use this rank chicken but they have not responded. Not surprised.

We ate at Maonoly's on Friday evening with some friends. We had a very nice meal. Mixed starters were good and we choose a mixture of mains to share all of which we enjoyed, all the mains were flavoursome and well cooked. Probably the only negative is it is a tad expensive.

The food here is always impeccable and the staff are always super friendly. They do a great lunch meal deal and evenings a nice here too!

I'd meant to try this for ages as I love Thai food and it's in the centre of my home town. While the place is clearly popular and service is pleasant and polite, I found the food a bit underwhelming, lacking some flavour. More spicing was definitely needed.The staff greeted me very politely and service was efficient and prompt. Prices are a tad on the high side for a local restaurant, but that's only a minor thing.Pandan chicken was pleasant enough and well peppered, but my red Thai duck curry - although a generous portion with lots of duck - lacked much flavour and really needed more spice. The sauce was thin and watery, needing some thickening as well as more chilli. I'll go back and try some more things. If you want a local Thai while Rak Chang is closed for refurbishment, then SoPa Thai on the London Road in Westcliff is much better in terms of quality and flavour of food.

I went to Manolys for dinner with some friends. Within the group of five we had a vegetarian and a vegan. We ordered a number of dishes including a vegetarian Pad Thai and a vegan Pad Thai. (This was not on the menu but they said they could make one for us as they offer other vegan dishes). The dishes all arrived and the lady told us extremely clearly which Pad Thai was the vegetarian one and which was the vegan one. The food was actually nice and we were enjoying our meal until the vegan member of our party began eating her Pad Thai. It was only after eating some of it that she realised it actually had egg in it. We called a young waitress over and explained to her that this was a vegan dish and therefore should not contain egg. The waitress apologised and took the dish away. We were then shocked at what happened next. Another member of staff came over, who we assume was the manager. She basically accused us of mixing up the vegan and vegetarian dishes. She herself had told us which dish was which. We tried to explain to her that we had not mixed up the dishes and showed her that in fact both dishes contained egg. By this time there was only a tiny bit of the vegetarian pad Thai left as it had been eaten, but there was a piece of egg and some noodles still in the dish. She couldn’t accept that both dishes contained egg even though we showed her the proof. She took the dishes to the kitchen, then came back asking if one of our party could go to the kitchen with her to speak to the chef. I myself did not go, but my friend who went was told that WE mixed up the dishes and then WE put a piece of egg in the vegan dish! It was utterly ridiculous. The lady did nothing but blame us and did not understand that for someone with a serious egg allergy this mistake could have been fatal. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone who has an allergy or special dietary requirement as I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.The customer service from this particular member of staff was disgusting. She offered to give us the dish that we were unable to eat free of charge, but no other compensation. To top things off when they bought the bill over they had even tried to add on 10% for service.We very upset with the whole ordeal and will definitely not be returning!!

Wow. Just wow. Great flavours. Nice portion sizes. Fresh ingredients, huge menu and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Have been to Manolys for a long time. Decided to treat family before they head back to uni. Good selection on menu. Food was fabulous.

We spotted this restaurant while we were having a quick drink at the pub across the road and I managed to make an immediate reservation. We’re not local by any means, in fact it was our first time in Leigh town centre as we were returning from a trip to Shoebury and needed some food.Manoly was busy and the unmistakeable smells of Thai spices wafted over as soon as we reached the bar area at the back of the restaurant where our seats were, definitely a good sign.We shared the special of sweetcorn cakes to start and then my wife had the sea bass with chilli sauce while I tried the Stir-fried Aubergine with Minced Pork in Garlic, Chilli and Holy Basil. Both were excellent, my wife particularly enjoyed her sea bass but we shared a pad Thai which was a touch too sweet and no better than average.Overall it was a good meal and the sweet Filipino girl who served us was friendly and informative, we would definitely return when we come back to Leigh’s as we undoubtedly will.Prices are a little steep but I understand that Leigh is considered posh in the area.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We hadn't been to this restaurant for a few years. I must admit I found it to be pricy and very average food compared to other restaurants I have visited. One starter to share and we each had main course meal plus water and tea totalled to £50 for two which in my opinion was expensive. We were tucked in the far corner with all the take away orders behind us. It felt cramped and uninviting. I wouldn't be rushing back again. Felt disappointed.

I would've liked to award this place no stars.We sat down and ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived then most of the food came. I was told my main was coming. I waited patiently until I couldn't wait any longer, then I asked the waitress where my dish was. She flashed a gormless smile at me and disappeared. Did she even understand what I asked? Who knows. Another 5 minutes went by and the 2 people I was with were pretty much finishing their food. Then the waitress brought out a dish that I hadn't ordered (beef instead of chicken), which I sent back. Another 5 minutes went by and everyone else had finished their food and I hadn't eaten a thing, and with no sign of my dish coming in the future I stood up to leave. No one had even offered an apology.We called the manageress over and said we weren't going to pay due to me not receiving. She didn't apologise, she was only concerned that we weren't going to pay. I didn't think we should and told her so, and walked out the door. The manageress came running after us demanding that we pay. When I said that I hadn't even been offered an apology she started sarcastically saying sorry, which I thought was very rude. We ended up paying for 80% of the bill as she wouldn't leave us alone, much to my chagrin. All very unprofessional.I have enjoyed eating at Manoly before but I will never ever return there again. They need staff that can at least understand English and they all need basic hospitality training. Another thing is that it felt very cramped in there and I had another mans back just inches away from where I was sitting (on the right near the front) due to the poor seating plan.AVOID

Food is of a good standard. Was still eating my starter as it was whisked away and my main put down in front of me. No personal touch it's a conveyor belt service. Would not visit again which is a shame as the food is nice.

Visited this popular restaurant with a group for friends on a busy Friday night. The first challenge was finding somewhere to park as parking spaces in the town centre are hard to find. The restaurant itself is quite small and would therefore recommend pre-booking of planning a visit. There is an extensive menu available so there should be something to suit everybody's taste. The food itself that we sampled was ok without being as good as we have experienced in other Thai restaurants. Unfortunately the service in the night was a bit hap-hazared. While a dinner orders were taken promptly the food for the group was delivered at different times with quite a delay for some of the dishes to arrive after the initial food arrived and some of the rice dishes ordered failed to arrive at all.

We ordered a takeaway from Manoly’s as we both love Thai food. The satay chicken skewers were tough and a few pieces of chicken were inedible. For mains I had chicken Penang which was incredibly watery and oily. The chicken had a grey look to it and was tough. My husband had chicken in oyster sauce and this had a very peculiar smell and taste. The chicken had the same grey appearance. We ended up throwing it away after only a small helping each. We are used to these dishes from other Thai restaurants and we were so disappointed with Manoly’s offering. A total waste of £35.

We had booked a table for five which was ready for us when we arrived, but the tables are so close together that when one of our party sat down he was pretty much sitting side by side with the guy at the table just behind us. There are too many tables in this restaurant, and as there are no soft furnishings or tablecloths, it is very noisy.

We had a delicious meal and the service was friendly. The food was good and everyone enjoyed it. Very nicely decorated and air conditioned.

My friends and I had heard good things about this restaurant so we thought we would give it a try, but I was sadly disappointed. We were constantly hurried to order and when the food arrived it was over cooked, mushy noodles,everything was bland and tasted the same as each other with an overiding sweet taste to everything. Not at all like the delicious food I have tasted in thailand. I wouldn't recommend this place abd I won't be going back, in the area, tudor house is a much better choice for more tasty authentic thai food. Shame.

My partner and I must have been here 10 times in the previous 2 years. Every time we arrive, we are greeted with smiles by the attentive and welcoming staff. The interior is a blend of traditional and modern Asian decor, which is really put together well with high quality materials.

Always come here for dinner, or order takeaways, as it's the best thai in the area!

Four of us dined recently at Manolys restaurant. Thai Staff, spotlessly clean and a decent menu to choose from. Food was nice but portions were small for the price we paid. Thai beers were a bit expensive too in compared to other local Thai restaurants.

We went as a group of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. No-one was disappointed in any way with the quality of the food, the service, the price or the surroundings.

A very good example of a Thai restaurant! Sample the delicacies and enjoy the good service. My wife and I regularly eat here. Recommended!

Recently visited Manoly Thai with a group of friends. It was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was packed however the service was prompt and the food and drinks all arrived without delay. All the dishes I tried ( we had a mix of food to share ) was excellent. The mixed starter was excellent too. Highly recommend.

Having visited Thailand recently and have visited Manoly's a few times this restaurant is superb. Good service authentic food and drinks, good helpings, The food is truly outstanding advised to book even mid-week!! One downside restrooms are upstairs just mentioned that as a warning.

As always, great food, very tasty. Wine was great value and had dessert for the first time here, the banana and ice cream was so good!

Be adventurous when eating here as all the flavours are delicious and the food is served piping hot. We had a family (take away) meal with the squid in sauce, sirloin beef strips, green vegetables, rice, pad thai, red thai curry & sweet and sour chicken - and even though the portions were generous, there was very little left at the end of the meal. Complimentary prawn crackers were also provided. The meal was reasonably priced at £52 for the three of us. I will definitely sample their delights again. Highly recommended.

Booked and arrived on time to find they’d given our table away. They then squashed us into a tiny space then left us for 20 minutes before we were even given a menu!

The atmosphere and restaurant is really great and the food was the best Thai food I’ve ever had. It is served up on hot trays to keep warm and there are generous portion sizes. The staff are really good and the toilets were so clean. Would defo come again

The Thai green curry is delicious, so good and didn’t have to wait long for it to be served after ordering! My father had the pad Thai and a mixed seafood platter and said it was really good also. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and provide excellent service. It’s a lovely little restaurant, definitely recommend and will return again.

I’ve been to Manoly’s for 20 years - love the food and usually the service is top notch.

Honestly I can’t wait to go back - I’d heard only good things and it didn’t let me down! I had a chicken satay for a stater - the most tender delicious chicken and wonderful peanut dip ever, then the creamy chilli prawns and coconut rice, I could have eaten it forever! Wine was nice and service was attentive and good :) I can’t wait for the next one!!!

So my partner and I have regularly dined here and also order take aways. One thing I will say is that the food is always amazing! I can’t knock the food at all. Having recently come back from Thailand there isn’t much difference in the Thai over there and the dishes they serve at Manolys. On our last dining experience though we were left really disappointed with the service. We booked last minute so we weren’t too surprised when we arrived and were shown to a table right at the back of the restaurant next to the serving hatch. Unfortunately it was as if we were completely forgotten about as soon as they gave us our food. No one came to check our food was ok, no one asked if we would like anymore drinks and my partner ended up having to go and get someone to ask for another drink. Once we finished our plates were left in front of us for a long time. We kept expecting someone to come and offer us dessert, drinks, the bill etc or at least clear the table. Eventually we caught someone’s eye and asked for the bill as although we quite fancied dessert we couldn’t face waiting that long again for service. I would like to add that we haven’t had this issue before here, at least not to this extent but we were really disappointed with the service as the food was beautiful as always and I would have loved to write a glowing review. They are very polite, friendly and hospitable staff but I would like to say to the owners that if you are going to seat customers in the last tables at the rear of the restaurant that you allocate servers to cover this area as no one seemed to know who was serving us. Thank you to the chefs for another lovely meal though! We will continue to order take aways from you.

I’ve had numerous takeaways from Manoly’s and they have always delivered spectacularly great food. My order is always the same; the ‘sizzling pit’ beef, creamy duck curry and the sea bass special. The flavours are an explosion of greatness.

We ate here last night and we were happy with the food & service. Lovely restaurant and good food, friendly and helpful staff.

Visited Manoly for the first time on 23rd August and had a wonderful lunchtime feast with friends. Starter and mains were superb.

My husband and his family went to Manoly regularly when he was growing up and we’ve kept up the tradition, though perhaps not going as often as they would have.

Manolys is quite simply our favourite restaurant to visit, and is always our destination for my wife's birthday and our anniversary.

We went here after a day in old Leigh , we hadn’t booked but we were lucky enough to get a table for six on the off chance ,

Not great food and service was rushed. The old guy is a bit of a character and is probably a nice guy but came across almost rude. I wouldn’t go back again as I have been disappointed here a few times now.

Really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent. Idea of price we had a stater each a main each and one drink each (just myself & husband) bill was £47 (service charge on bill)

Amazing food with lovely Thai flavours. The red (vegan) curry was so delicious, and the tofu dish and tempura was just as wonderful. Very friendly staff who were happy to cater for a vegan diet. Can't wait to come back again

Visiting son and his partner in Leigh on Sea at the weekend and decided on a takeaway. Absolutely delicious, superb prawn and chicken tikka starter in particular. Singapore noodles were really tasty. All in all a real success.

Exceptional food the flavours are exquisite! Brilliant service always a fantastic meal out. If you go during the week it is much quieter and more relaxed than weekends.

I went here with my husband and a group of friends. The food was quickly served to us and it was hot and tasty. For the price of the dishes, I would say they are a little on the high side as the servings are a bit small. £4 for a bowl of plain Thai rice is a bit excessive too ( and it wasn’t that nice). Friendly, helpful staff, but we never got offered a sweet menu, even though we all had finished our food and were chatting for about an hour. We had to ask for coffees and licquers, which were all good, but I got the distinct impression they wanted us to go.

Four of us visited for the early sitting, on Saturday evening. We all enjoyed the food, which arrived very quickly. However we felt it was rather rushed, we was quite aware that we had a two hour slot; but we had barely sat down when they were asking for our order.

Wonderful food at a reasonable price but, oh dear! The waiter obviously wanted us to order, eat and get out. We asked for a few minutes to look at the menu and he hovered around us. I understand that they want to get a second sitting in at 9pm but trying to get rid of us within an hour of arriving at 7pm is not acceptable. You should never feel rushed in a restaurant. I don’t think I will go there again. Such a shame, if it hadn’t been for that, a five star rating was waiting.

This is my favourite Thai. The food is fantastic the service is good. We never had one dish we could say was not nice. Thourouly enjoyed will be back soon New.

Friends recommended Manoly's and it has been on my list of restaurants to try for a long time. Following a recent move to Leigh on Sea, Manoly's is now in walking distance and we are sure to be regular customers. The food is delicious and...

First visit for a while after we had a late decision to go on valentine's night - never the best evening to go for a meal...

the meat and fish content of the dishes was minimal.and disappointing. Also, the temperature of this delivery by the time it arrived was too cold really to appreciate the flavours of the dishes ordered. The only generous portion was the noodle based dish which was obviously the cheapest to supply. As I say, disappointing.

The food was very delicious and service perfect. Our first time here and we will definitely be back!

An extensive menu of amazing dishes. All freshly made and great service. Highly recommend for date night.

I have tried hard to find something positive to say about my visit, and the sad truth is there were not any good points.

Appalling service, informed them about my allergy but they messed up, no apology offered! Thank God for the anti histamine's that I carry otherwise they could have killed me!!

Visited here on Saturday night and the waiter was friendly and welcoming, but it was hard to chose as the menu had a too many dishes on it. This caused us to be a little slow to make our order but the waiter didn't seem to mind! The food was very nice but nothing outstanding, although I would recommend the Sea Bass (my partner ordered it and it was beautifully cooked). After looking at the dessert menu, we decided to skip dessert and get the bill - at which point the waitress (an older lady) made a bit of a drama out of the fact that she was so pleased as other guests had been waiting an hour to get on our table!! We had not been advised, at any point, that the table was booked for another group or that we could only have it up until a certain time, yet we were made to feel like we had caused a problem for the other guests. I think they need to work on some customer service with certain members of their staff. A nice enough meal, but we ate again when we got home as the portions were small & I wouldn't be bothered if I ever visited here again I'm afraid.

A favourite of my wife’s and this visit didn’t disappoint. Although not the cheapest restaurant, the service was of its usual decent standard on a busy evening and the food was very good as ever.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been, and the 2nd time I have been dumbfounded by the rudeness of the staff. The older lady is so RUDE, both my partner and I sat there with our mouths agape. We told one of the waitresses and her embarrassed answer was ‘yes, I know she’s rude, we always get told that. We’re well aware’. The food is ok, but unfortunately, being shouted at to clear our own table as new food is being placed down left a very sour taste in our mouth. We also asked them to politely take away the pork from the mixed starter as we don’t eat it, and it didn’t mention it on the menu (which wasn’t really even an issue), and she snatched it away muttering ‘What’s wrong with bloody pork’. Would never ever go back. Most locals to Leigh know this restaurant is renown for the rude staff, and there is a Thai just metres away called Rak Chang which is phenomenal. I know who’ll be getting my customer in future.

Fantastic Thai food and service friendly and attentive. Had a table booked for 10 on a Sunday evening was very busy and the smell of the food being cooked from the kitchen was amazing had a large table but service was spot on all the food came out together and everyone loved it, had a nice atmosphere can’t fault this place at all. Beautiful restaurant and spotless toilets, perfect birthday meal and very responsible on the pocket. A must go

I visited the restaurant with 5 of my work colleagues for one of their leaving do. We were told when booking that we could have 7 or 9 o'clock only. We were told to sit on a table and basically before we had time to breathe drink order started and ordering food. Food came quickly. Far too quick for it to be freshly cooked as they claim. Then the dinners came. Cold and my part of dinner missing. When we complained the older waitress decided to have an argument with the whole table saying it wasn't cold and cooks it fresh. She was just rude. I still didn't get all my dinner and no apology. Over priced for awful food. Plus they add service charge on bill. I actually did not want to pay service charge of £17 as they were rude. Never go again. Steer clear save your money or eat elsewhere.

Visited here on a Friday evening and have to say very disappointed with cold food and staff attitude. The 'older' lady needs some lessons in customer service and they need to learn that dishes need to be bought out together not 10 minutes apart. Will not return.

I have been to Thailand numerous times and can say this definitely lives up to the Thai food i had over there. We ordered numerous dishes between two of us and it was all served very quickly, all fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

This has become a regular Saturday lunch venue for us, the lunch is a set menu with several options and well worth a visit. The biggest problem is parking.All the food is good, the place is clean and the price good value.

I used to love this place, but on recent visits have been disappointed. The older waitress has always been a bit of a misery but lately she is plain rude. Last week we went in for lunch, she didn't say hello or welcome us, she just pointed to a table and said sit there. The new lunchtime menu is ok, but is served up in a plastic tray with compartments which resembles tv dinner or aircraft food. Portions are smaller and prices have increased. The owner, Mee, is lovely but she seems to keep out of the way lately. It's a real shame as we used to love it here. I do wonder why they keep the older waitress as everyone I speak to says the same about her, even other reviewers.

We attended Manoly's on a Saturday night after my misses finished work. I love Thai cuisine but was bit let down by being served an undercooked Chicken Skewer Starter. I had a noodle main and my misses had a seafood main, both were pretty average, honestly i dont think it was worth the money we spent for it.Maybe I was just unlucky and received a bad experience but in my mind any food that comes out of the kitchen should be quality checked before being served. The fact I was served under cooked chicken is frankly quite scary.

Parking in Leigh is never easy so allow time to find a place to park . This place has a fabulous (well earned) reputation so book or you may be disappointed . Very friendly , mostly Thai staff and the place is decorated to create the right ambience . Menu is large with lots to choose so almost everyone will find something they like including vegetarians as there is a special section on the menu for them . Portions are generous , fragrant ( copious use of lemon grass and sweet basil) , and vary from mild to extremely hot and as a person who enjoys his vinadaloos when eating Indian I do mean hot . Never mind , the menu indicates this with no pepper , one two or three peppers against each dish . Wine list is ok as well . Not huge but what there is is very nice . Last night we had the merlot/ Grenache at 15.95 a bottle . Very nice it was too and previously and this will be no surprise to my friends the Malbec is also very good . Including drinks allow forty to fifty pounds a head for three courses . Enjoyed the whole experience and had a lovely evening .

We ate here a few weeks ago & I think the lady there is so miserable. We went in for lunch, not made to feel very welcome even though there were only two other people in & you would think they would welcome some more customers. I chose a dish with chicken & mushrooms in as I love mushrooms. The food was brought to the table & put down with no communication at all, I started to eat it & realised there wasn't a mushroom in it so called the lady back over to say they haven't put them in, so she took it back to the kitchen & promptly returned to say they don't have any mushrooms!! sorry but if an order goes in & you haven't got the ingredients surely you should mention it to the customer & not just send the meal out & hope they don't notice that one of the main ingredients is missing. There was no apology or offer of alternative. Will not be returning.
