Best Thai restaurant in Leigh with excellent service.

A great experience all round. We only stayed in the area overnight, but I do wish we had this restaurant nearby. I can highly recommend it 👌

Amazing food and great service!

My friend and I went in for a catchup meal, service was good, staff always checking if we were ok with drinks or food few minutes after dishes been served, food was lovely as always especially on steamed seabass with spicy chilli sour sauce and Chicken Pad Thai. After my experiences, I would definitely come back without any doubt!

Poor food poor service used this restaurant many times before sadly no longer an enjoyable evening some of the staff need retraining in customer service hopefully the management will look into this 👎

A last minute decision to try this restaurant which I had passed many times on London Road. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night and the food and service was amazing 👏 The iced glass and beer was also fantastic, me and my wife will definitely be back

What a great little find tucked away on the London rd in Leigh. Authentic Thai food, beautifully cooked and presented. A real treat came in for a long lunch and stayed for a while lovely will be back

Good quality Thai food with lovely staff.

Don’t expect to receive what you order. We ordered a vegan pad Thai dish which arrived covered in scrambled egg. When we contacted the restaurant we were told we had to deal with the refund directly with deliveroo which, after spending an hour online, is an impossible task. We reported this to the restaurant to be met with a rude and intimidating response…. All in all a very bad experience and a lost meal and ruined Saturday evening.

Booked in advance. Thursday night. Extremely expensive for what it is. A little cold. Had set course. A birthday meal. Service ok.

I love Thai food, it’s been a while since I have visited but the food was really poor. Mixed starter for two was ok, the ribs were the weakest part of the starter. Service was too fast having asked for a slow service and no reason this could not have been accommodated. Portion sizes have reduced and whilst not a problem for me, problem for husband, not much chicken and very little sauce. My Pad Sieux was really poor, maybe down to a new chef. Shame is it will take a lot to get me to return.

Food and cocktails quick and very tasty indeed. Dinner for 4 adults, clean and comfy place. Waiting staff are brilliant and helpful and super polite! Will be back very soon!!!

Been coming here for years. Not just the best Thai in the area, but one of the best in the UK. At least of places I’ve visited. Nothing quite compares to Tudor House.

Came here for the first time tonight - really impressed with the food had the sharer for 2 for £60 plenty of food for the money - the spicy beef dish was unbelievablely good spicy, citrusy and well cooked beef - was blown away by this dish but everything was lovely very pleased

Excellent food and friendly, gracious service. Bargain lunchtime prices - two starters, two mains, a cocktail and two other drinks came to £38. No extra charge made to swap to sticky rice with the curry either. Lots of choice on the lunchtime menu and nice options for children. Will be back with the kids ASAP!

Worst Thai meal I have ever had We were so looking forward to trying this establishment after positive reviews ...the set menu B was chosen The 1st course arrived .accompanied by the extra oily grease on the chicken piece and fish cake and the other two items' squeezable oily batter topping...the spare rib had very little meat on the bone however the saving grace it was not greasy The meat in the main dish was dry although the sauce surprisingly tasted as you would expect They managed to make the rice ok, The Thai green curry although edible could have come from a ready meal. The dessert was awful; mango in rice pudding. I would not return even if you paid me. I raised my concerns ..and the service charge was removed so we were charged £60.90. The owner explained he had been in business for 20 years. I should have pressed him regarding what business that had given him twenty years of experience as it certainly wasn't customer service or quality food ...very disappointing.... With regards to the the response by the owner we did not clean the plates as suggested and left most of the lamb..regards the starters I did mention this to waiter and left most of mine and we did not eat any of one of the main dishes ..in contrast we certainly had not made up our mind before seating and if you look at reviews I leave, they are positive when appropriate

Went here spur-of-the-moment for Valentine's Day. Staff were happy to change the set menu to a vegan one. We really enjoyed our food: starter was a mushroom soup and fried vegetables in batter with chilli sauce, all very good; main was fried vegetables with tofu and a yellow curry, also good. Would have been nice, if this had come with some rice, but there were noodles and we didn't leave hungry. We loved the sticky rice with fresh mango for dessert! Will definitely be back.

Just back for another meal at Tudor. This time everything was very nice. The food was hot and tasty and served very efficiently. The duck was particularly good as was the pad thai. All in all a very good meal well done.

Food was delicious. There were six on our table aged 14-49, and there wasn’t any waste, we all thought it was amazing. Portion sizes were perfect. We all had a taste of each others mains, I would have happily eaten any of the dishes on our table.

Had the set menu, for two. Staff very welcoming. Food, well presented and hot but overall a little disappointing. Lamb was to fatty for my personal liking, rice portion was very small.

Came here years ago and was hoping it was better than the last time I visited. It wasn’t. Portions were tiny. Several vegan options on the menu but they didn’t have any tofu that night?? Asked for extra chilli in stir fried vegetables and not a single chilli in sight. Instead they sprinkled chilli powder over the top! What sort of Thai restaurant does not have red chillis? Skipped the dessert but my friend had the smallest ever banana split. Only good thing was that they managed to get some soya milk for coffee from the Tesco next door. Maybe they should have bought some chillis and tofu whilst they were there! Never again!

Bit of a contrasting experience to lunchtime earlier this year. Had an evening meal this time. The starters were not served very hot which was disappointing. Main courses were ok tasty but not really a WOW experience. Service was good and the wine selection was ok. Overall we scored this as 7/10 average. We thought the place was a bit shabby. Dirty place mats and dust all over the blinds and carpets. Our final bill for two was just under £100 with service which seemed a lot for the experience we had and the overall quality.

Favourite Thai in St Albans- excellent service, cocktails, and food. Lovely old building its in as well, very unique :)

Really enjoyed a recent visit for lunch with friends. The lunchtime choice was nice varied and tasty and I would recommend it for anyone with a live of Thai food. Staff were efficient and friendly. Would definitely go again. Well deserved.

Been here many times now, mainly with my husband and a friend, usually we book a table for early evening whilst still fairly quiet. We nearly always order the Tempura Prawns and Yellow Thai Curry as they’re so tasty and cooked perfectly! Always served quickly...

Not my favourite cuisine, but met a friend who is a fan. The food was ok, but nothing amazing and I didn't enjoy the environment. Not a very inspiring wine list either. Final bill a little on the high side I thought, but Thai restaurants do tend to be that much more expensive. Not for me, but clearly, plenty of people think otherwise.

Absolutely love the whole experience. From the traditional Thai greeting, the decor, the service and the marvellous food. Just as delicious as it is in Thailand.

Went for a Monday night dinner with my mum an Sumitrra was so lovely, friendly and attentive, couldn’t praise her more. Corona virus guidelines followed perfectly, felt safe and comfortable and left with bellies full of delicious and authentic Thai food.

I have been driving past this restaurant for many years and keep thinking that I would like to try it and finally decided to give it ago. We booked for 8pm on a Saturday evening and when we arrived the restaurant was very busy but...

Good ambiance in this restaurant, staff very friendly and helpful. Large choice of starters and mains. Having eaten in other Thai restaurants which we have found to be rather spicy, even on a one chilli choice, we chose dishes that we thought would not be overpowering, unfortunately what we chose weren't spicy enough. Nice food but a bit bland. I would suggest a one chilli choice here (although there weren't many of these).However we all enjoyed the evening and next time I would go fir 2 chilliest!

We were looking forward to a local Thai meal and had read mixed, but fairly positive, reviews of Tudor House. The service is very very poor, almost amateur hour. And the food quality is mediocre at best. I find it incredible when a restaurant seats you and then does ask if you want a drink when you browse the menu. After 15 minutes, I had to wave down a particularly miserable waiter down to order a drink. It didn’t improve after that and we had rude, surly service after that. Food was nothing special. Singapore noodles main course had 2 prawns the size of a large fly and the Massaman curry was barely enough to constitute a main course. We were there for an hour in total. No incentive to linger post the meal. Tip to the owners- go and visit the Labworth restaurant on Canvey and see what customer service is and you’ll maybe have a chance of getting more customers. I will personally be telling all my friends to steer well clear of this place.

Visited with my better half and we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service. All the staff we met, including the chef, were polite, courteous, very friendly, and knowledgeable. The menu caters for vegetarians and vegans very well. We are sure to return in the near future.Thank you for a lovely evening.

Very well presented food with lovely people. Been there any times and is consistently great. It is slightly more expensive than other restaurants however recommend it for a mid range lovely Thai authentic meal. I love the free prawn crackers for a starter where at other places it can be upto £3.

My family has eaten here for many years. I can safely say we have never had a bad meal. Our favourites are the mixed starters, especially the dumplings (great flavour and texture), the pad thai, pad kra tiem (garlic and pepper main) and the yellow curry. I also like a bit of heat in my food and so can highly recommend the spicy rice. The staff are very friendly and we always receive a warm welcome. Not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review but here it is. Back tonight with my wife for more!

I used to frequent this restaurant almost a decade ago, and I’m glad to see it’s still going strong. There’s no update in the restaurant from 10 years ago. It is still exactly the same; huge photography of their 9th King and Queen even though, I do believe, they are now on their 10th or 11th king and Queen?It’s the first place I ever tried Kanom Jeeb (dumplings) and it’s a staple dish for me now due to them awakening my senses and making me interested in trying all different cuisines. Good Thai food, well proportioned and at an average price for Thai food in the area. I wouldn’t say it’s well priced because it’s not particularly cheap and it’s good but not fabulous: My pad Thai was served cold and overcooked and therefore mushy and for £8.50 I’d expect better - it didn’t look fresh and it didn’t have the peanuts fresh on the top (as it always has done before).The lady working there was really charming and wanted everyone to have a good time - but she was run off her feet with seemingly only her there and the little elderly lady chef. Obviously, when a place is not anticipating big bookings - it’s right to have minimum staffing costs to be up against, but, it’s important not to flap as it made me feel bad for coming in and wishing to dine there - as she was so busy, I wanted to help by leaving. There was a couple in there that were really crass and obnoxious which ruined the calm front room ambience ... so be aware that voices carry in here and whilst your partner might not mind you talking about previous conquests and positions, other guests might be left disgusted. We queried the bill as it was handwritten and not clear, plus, one swift look could let one see that adding 5, 5, 0, 0, 5, 0, 5 wouldn’t add to 88. Turns out they add 10% on the bill, which whilst we always tip minimum 10% I don’t like it being added craftily to the end and for it to not really add up to 10% either. So, all in all, it’s good. Parking is available on the right side of the restaurant and is free after 6pm.

Very Bland and overpriced compared to other Thai restaurants in Southend, won't go back

We always drive past and I always think what am building very Tudor looking. Decided to give it ago as had family members visit. Not really tried this type of food before so was quite new. Menu was good and looked exciting, we all ordered many different things just really to try a bit of everything. It all came out well beautifully presented and piping hot. Flavours were amazing and we wasn’t disappointed. Staff friendly and helpful in choices too. Will pop in again for sure.

I had a lovely lunch with a friend. The waitress was absolutely charming. We felt relaxed, comfortable and not rushed. The food was amazing, hot, fresh and tasty.

I took my family out for evening dinner and was very disappointed.
