As a local this is my favourite place for breakfast. I love their potato stack (potato bread, sausage & bacon) . Any meal I have had has always been good. They only seem to serve hot meals until mid afternoon. There was a beautiful view of the Lough but they stuck a big building in the road. The staff could be a bit friendlier or more interested. Toilet facilities poor at the minute but with new building work it should improve. A lovely place for a walk pre or post meal.

I was really skeptical about this cafe based on it's appearance, but the reviews were good and, to be honest, there wasn't much else nearby! The home made food was good, albeit a bit expensive, but the chips which just tasted of cheap oil, I couldn't finish them. A lot of the reviews raved about the view of the water, but there building works blocking it all when we were there, which was a shame.

Went for breakfast with 3 children, 2 of whom wanted a pancake, sausage and beans, 1 wanted a pancake, a sausage and a slice of bacon and I wanted a bagel.with bacon and tomato. 2 slices of toast were also ordered and an additional piece of bacon, a coffee and flat white. I was told the cost was £30.44, so I asked for an itemised bill. I was charged 4.95 for each of the children's 3 ITEMS and 5.95 for mine which was the cost of a bagel and chicken stack in the menu. I was informed there was only certain buttons on the till that can be used and I could not be charged less for particular items. I made it clear that the till set up was irrelevant to me and that I would not be paying for food I did not order. The younger lady was pleasnat but clealry required additional training, which is a management issue more than her issue. I received 9.75 back. However this was still ridiculous for what was ordered. The other staff member then went round every other table and offered everyone, whilst smiling a top up of coffee. I had to ask, as I felt I was intentionally left out, I received a top up but her non verbal communication made me feel my custom was now unwelcome. We then received our breakfasts and the children's orders were not all accurate, but by this time I wanted to eat and go as the whole experience was unpleasant and we no longer were made to feel welcome by the older staff member.

Popped in with family for a quick lunch and really wish I hadn't. Total chaos. Firstly understaffed, no organisation staff were trying to do several things without completing any! Food was being brought out with staff wandering around trying to find who ordered it! Told we had to wait 15 mins for a baked potato. It arrived after 40. Luke warm at best. Actually felt a degree of sympathy for young staff as they were being given no direction. Disappointed as the Lough area has become a major tourist attraction for the area. Tourists first impressions will not be good.

Our walking group use this cafe on a regular basis and always find it welcoming and get a good cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. They also do a very good Mini Fry for the less healthy option on a cold day. They have a good selection of scones, tray bakes and some very attractive sweets and ice cream. The cafe has limited seating capacity for large groups but can cater well for our walking group which averages 15/20 walkers. It is in a good location adjacent to the Antrim Marina on the Siximilewater River; has pleasant views of Lough Neagh and the Antrim Boat and Caravan Park.

Serves good food at a reasonable price. Great that it’s right beside the lough so if you fancy something to eat or an ice cream, you don’t need to go into town.

Went for a walk from castle grounds to the Lough and stumbled across this place. From the outside this place is not very appealing looking but don't let that put you off as inside is nicely decorated and the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

I have visited twice in the last month. First tome had the steak sandwich. This was fine. Second time had a chicken and bacon bagel. This was excellent. Prices good and coffee nice. Only suggestion would ne that the staff bring out cutlery when bringing out the food. Didn't happen on both occasions and needed to hunt for it.

Took 13 mins to receive the drinks we ordered and we waiting 34 mins just for our starter (soup of the day) never received I canceled my order paid for our drinks and went elsewhere I remembered this place was great and it's really just gone to the dogs and the owner doesn't seem to care. Complained to the staff they just shrugged there shoulders very very disappointed!

Service wasn't great. It was a slow day at the airport and only a couple at the counter. Stood for a while and no one came near us. Then a guy with a yellow hi viz jacket eventually asked us what we wanted. Ordered 2 teas. All of a sudden he just left. Went out of the restaurant altogether leaving us baffled. The a young lady who was in the middle of serving someone else asked if we were being served. We said no and she said she'd be with us in a minute. Eventually got served. Wouldn't like to see it if it was busy. Plus side, the tea was hot.

Really friendly staff and great food. First time visiting and will definitely come again. Had the sausage sandwich, cake and coffee, thought it was good value and tasty. Only slight complaint was the sausages weren’t reheated enough (cold in the centre), but still delicious.

When we first arrived we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table without delay. Having looked at the menu and chosen our meal, as if by magic another member of staff appeared and took our order. The food arrived promptly and we all enjoyed what we had chosen. In summary, the restaurant is a very pleasant place to eat, but I would like a little more custard with the apple pie.

Met friends for lunch today. Thus place hasn't changed in years - in a good way. Cosy, great service and quality comfort food. I had the best Chicken Maryland I've ever had, with great quality chicken, gammon and a nice touch with a wedge of beautifully charred fresh Pineapple. Other dishes included chickennwithbpepper sauce and a roast beef dinner. Home made cheesecake and jam sponge with custard followed for two of us. Fabulous meal and looking forward to returning soon.
