Mangal Express in Wandsworth

Fuimos de viaje a Londres y nos alojamos por Hammersmith y tras dejar las cosas en el hotel, salimos a comer. Nos llamó la atención este lugar, ya que no parecía el típico local de comida rápida. El chef Veli nos animó a entrar y probar los kebabs de cordero, lo cual fue un acierto. Además, nos dio conversación pasando un rato de charla agradable, y nos dió unos tickets para una feria cercana a la que finalmente por motivos de agenda no pudimos ir. Nos sorprendió la calidad de los kebabs, ya que la norma en nuestro país, España, es que los kebabs sean de mala calidad. No se si es norma o tuvimos suerte de encontrar este lugar donde se ofrecía calidad a buen precio, pero en caso de volver a Londres, volveré a visitarlo.

Pedimos una comida costosa con solo comer: entrante mezze caliente, kebab de carne y una lata de coca-cola = 34. Les llamamos por teléfono para pedirles salsas y fueron increíblemente serviciales; por qué esta comida no vino con salsas me supera, pero bueno. Se entregaron más rápido de lo esperado, directamente a la puerta de la habitación de nuestro hotel (wow). Tan pronto como se fueron, me di cuenta de que la lata de coca no había llegado, los llamé, una hora después me trajeron dos. . . En cuanto a la comida, las partes eran hermosas, otras partes eran muy saladas y las partes no eran las mejores. No me disgustaba, pero no volvería a ordenar.

Very good tasty meat. We have got the sharing feast kebab for two and there was loads of meat and rice with 2 good breads. The best takeaway tried so far. Very good. Definitely ordering again

Don't usually leave reviews but in this case, the food was excellent, came 30 mins early and the delivery man was super friendly. 10/10 would order again.

Absolutely delicious and was very fresh. Came very higienically wrapped and was hot!! Also the fresh bread that came was yummi!!!! Will order again soon

This is very good quality...not your drunken kebab moment. Which is why it is a bit pricier. Get the mixed grill. Nomnom.

“Freshly baked bread” as stated on the menu, so you can imagine my delight when I received 4 cold dry wraps. On top of that my Shawarma was not a shawarma but some sort of Kofta instead. It’s a shame because the rest was tasty and delivered relatively swiftly. Very disappointed. Would not reccomend.

That's the first time I didn't like food from this place. I asked to have mayo in my wrap and it didn't happen plus meat was dried and chips uneatable. Very dried. Not happy.

We use to ask the same menu over an over, as is delicious. However this time we have realised that the quantity is inferior, like 60% of what we usually get. Don’t get me wrong, the kebap feast for two was likely for 3 even for 4 persons before. Now seems more adjusted for 2. I would have loved a price reduction but, if I must be honest, I’d happily had payed this price for this quantity the first time. The quality keeps superb and still very recommendable.

This is my worst experience in London restaurants I don't know how did the restaurant got this rating. Rethink before ordering.

Encontramos la tienda de Shepherds Bush al pasar, estaba muy ocupada con muchos pedidos en línea. No tuvimos que esperar demasiado, todo el personal fue muy amable mientras esperábamos. La comida era abundante y deliciosa. Todo muy fresco y auténtico. Definitivamente vale la pena el precio. Excelentes opciones vegetarianas. Nos encantó y no dudaríamos en pedir de nuevo!

En una reciente visita a Londres, mi nariz estaba atraído a el maravilloso aroma de cocinar y hierbas frescas. Mangal Express acababa de abrir unas cuantas semanas antes y ahora por alguna razón era en sí para mí anunciar como una posible solución a muchos una noche de qué comer. Me aventuré en una entrada de una noche a través de la tarjeta de lectura menú y decidieron una fuente fría seguido por Yaprak Meze Doner (Shawarma) el tamaño de la porción era demasiado grande para uno, pero fue realmente una maravillosa delicia turca. . . . He revisited varias veces y disfrutamos de cada visita como un desarrollo de sabores mediados oriental. Nunca ha fallado en satisfacer.

I have ordered from Best Manghal a few times and the food (apart from the stodgy and heavy bread) has always been excellent. Last night it was not edible - the amount of salt was horrendous and having bought the food for my family it was embarrassing. They had clearly added too much salt to their food last night and so much so that we were unable to eat it. Very disappointed this time and am not sure that we will order from there again. Sorry.

I ordered the special mix which was nice and tasty. But the was only 1 very small rib (smaller then any other I have had before). For £17 I would have expected more.

Food was tasty...good flavours. However, the mixed grill for £17 - what you get for your money is really disappointing. The menu said "Lamb chops (we got 1), ribs (we got 1), chicken kofte, chicken wings (we got 2), lamb kofte (we got 1/2 a skewer), lamb skewer & yaprak doner (not much dinner meat). When you say chops or ribs - it indicated plural as in more then 1. The menu needs to be clearer on what you get in the mix because I wouldn't have ordered it has I known what you got for the £17. It also doesn't say it comes with bulger, so I ordered rice which wasn't needed. Again menu need to be clearer on what it comes with. The salad that came with it looked off and the portion was really small....went in the bin. Also didn't know it came with salad as it's not mentioned on the menu. It's a shame because the food (meat) tasted really nice.....there just wasn't enough of it.

Amazing meat festival. Tasty kebap selection, and fine cold mezes. Perhaps the mezes could be better quality, or more variety (not only sauces) but the meat plate covers any fault so far. The bulgur rice and the quality of the meat is 1st class. We have ordered 4-5 times this year and we will repeat, for sure. They also provide special offers from time to time for those who order here. That’s a great addition for a good take away restaurant.

I am a regular customer at Best Mangal in Fulham Broadway, so decided to use their delivery service (Mangal Express). Unfortunately everything I ordered was different from and not as good as Best Mangal. It wasn't terrible but if you're used to Best Mangal, you'll be very disappointed.

Delivery was much faster than estimate given, delivery man was very friendly, food was packaged well, good portions and value for money. We had kofta skewers, chicken skewers (these both come with bread and a better-than-your-average-takeaway salad), hummus, halloumi and the cheese fill pastries... all of it was very tasty and would not hesitate ordering from here again.

Have ordered a few takeaways from here. Great food always arrives hot and well packaged, delicious. Decent portions and price. One good tip though they offer free delivery if you spend over £15 directly through their website saving you the delivery fee from other companies! I've also received a few £5 off vouchers too. All round great.

Mixed platter for two has a great variety of meat included, was delivered on time and the food was bursting with flavour. Still recommend this place!

I'm a massive foodie, it takes a lot to impress me in every department, Mangal Express have just done that. This isn't your average takeaway kebab shop. Their website is extremely user friendly, you can even pre-order your food for a certain time and tailor make your order. I pre-ordered £100 worth of food for a certain time, I arrived to collect 5 minutes early and the order was 5 minutes away from being complete. If you collect your first order, they give you 20% off, you need to add a code online when ordering, I didn't do this but as a goodwill gesture they instantly gave me 10% off. The front of house guy had a great rapport with me and was extremely friendly. He mentioned he'd thrown in a few desserts on the house as well as extra sauces and extra bread, little touches like that go along way. This brings me on to one of the best things of all, the bread! The bread is baked freshly throughout the day and is like a small loaf, it was some of the best bread I've tasted, I'd go back just for the bread. The meats were bbq'd to perfection, cubes of chicken and lamb were succulent and a good size, chicken wings were smoky and juicy, the lamb chops were huge compared to similar establishments, rice was fluffy, the salad was fresh even the fries were seasoned well and the portion was huge. The packaging was great, each element had their own container, you felt like you're getting a meal. Prices are higher than your average kebab shop but there's a reason for this, you pay for what you get, it's like buying meat from a butcher rather than a supermarket, which one will taste better for a few extra pounds! As you can tell I was extremely impressed! If you want good quality, well cooked food with great service to match, you know where to go.

My son loves it. We are having mixed grill for 2, it is too much for even three persons. Doner is good, sishes are good, i wasn't able to like adana kebap yet, but it still is not too bad.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The order arrived 25 mintues earlier than they said it would, the food was delicious, and there was enough to feed four of us (instead of two)! Can't recommend enough!

Every order has been immaculately presented and cooked to perfection. Delivery is quick and efficient from the Shepherds Bush store and cannot be faulted. Any discrepancies are quickly rectified, customer service is excellent. The food is delicious and each mouthful takes me back to my most favourite holiday destination - Turkey! Please consider adding Sea Bream or Sea Bass as you extend your menu. Well done, now I don't have to leave home to enjoy my favourite food, which always turns up piping hot and ready to eat!

Amazing wraps which were delicious. Food arrived at time stated but delivery driver was very rude when he couldn't find the address. Tried giving directions but he didn't listen. Only bad thing about ordering from here.

We've ordered the mixed grill, as usual, via Hungryhouse. Always arrives before the stated delivery time, piping hot, the container is jammed and the food has great flavour. Still love it.

Always good food and service but on this occasion I got salad even tho I did state no salad which I really do not like at all.

The chips were dry and cold by the time they arrived but the Donner meat was v good. Halloumi was on point. Would stray away from the fries from now on but everything else was strong.

Food was amazing! The meat was of very high quality, salad was fresh and tasty and the sauces were healthy and freshly made (not the stuff out of the bottle). Both mixed grills were on point. 10 out of 10!

The meat portion was very small and the quality wasn't great. I spent £18 on a meal that should really have been about £12.

Today the fries were bad :( usually they are the bomb and I requested the food to arrive at9:30, but it arrived at 8:30 instead .. good food always :)

Called at 1745...... now 1905 still no food. Chased up with a phone call at 1850 "we'll get back to you" Guess what, no phone call back. £25 for 2 kebabs and chips..... Food arrived..... looked good, tasted good, but it was warm not hot. No apology from the delivery guy. I called for a refund, or at least an amount back. Granted I was annoyed and direct with the guy on the phone..... but to be told "You're just looking for an excuse" I didn't think was acceptable. First and last time we order here.

We get a delivery at last twice a week and we never get disappointed: quick delivery, fresh and hot food. We normally order a mix hot meze and a mix kebab platter for Two. Heaven !!! Big portions !! We have tried other foods from the menu : burgers: wraps and from the grill and all so delicious. It is definitely my no1 restaurant.

Only issue was that food was a little cold on arrival despite arriving 10 mins early. Otherwise everything was delicious and would order again.

Always deliver quicker than they say. Kebab platter has super flavour, is a generous portion size and thus good value. We were ravenous and didnt manage to finish it all. Will definitely order from here again.
