Taken 2 hours to get our full order, missed part of order, called and was told 20 mins but took 45 mins, called again was told “ we are really busy “( not my problem, it’s their mistake), for the driver to turn up and pretty much throw my 2 chow mains at me.

Driver went too wrong address, but for the inconvenience I was not offered any compensation very disappointed, I’ve used mandarin for yrs, nit happy

Missing items. Food cold. Took well over estimated time. I don’t know why we keep thinking they will do a decent job. Don’t even bother ordering.

Food is lovely and arrived quickly and was hot. The only thing I was disappointed with was the salt and pepper chips. Small portion and at £6.50 I don’t believe they were worth it but I would order from here again.

My order was late I was quoted by 20.05 I phoned mandarin house they said very busy will be another 10 mins but just received a text saying should be here by 21.05 my mum is diabetic so have had to give her something else to eat so do not want food

I have ordered from Mandarin House many times. They're always extremely courteous and the food is delivered on time, if not early. I am particularly grateful that they always manage to accommodate my wife's gluten intolerance by making a normal chow mein with rice noodles, as otherwise she wouldn't be able to enjoy a Chinese. Very highly recommended.

This was the most amazing Chinese dinner we have had in a long time! Generous portions without too many onions and all fresh and delicious!

Food from this place has gone down hill over the years unfortunately

Buyer beware, this has gone down hill. Ordered usual chicken satay skewers and used to be lumps of chicken, tonight a soggy horrible texture that was like reconstituted chicken, not what I expect for proper chicken prices. Had nice takeaways before but over last 12 months proper hit and miss. Enough is enough not ordering again certainly not for these prices.

Ordered early for delivery 18:45, turned up at 19:30. Can understand when ordering and expecting ASAP….but to order 2hrs before to make it easier and still be late? Not good.

We have used this takeaway many times but last night’s food was just awful. Rice was a stodgy mess inedible. Pancake roll was tasteless and greasy and main courses bland. Not going to order from there again

Food was good on arrival but took 30mins for delivery from the end of the predicted window. When I called the restaurant after 5 mins after the time I was told that it was only going to leave the restaurant in 5mins. I would like to request a full or at least part refund please to my account.

Food was not the normal quality, especially the meat in the chow mein

We have lived in Horsham for 17 years and always use Mandarin House. We have tried other Chinese takeaways over the years on the odd occasion, but none of them compare to the quality, generous portions and overall deliciousness of the food here. Highly recommended!

I ordered prawns with cashew nuts and yellow bean sauce, you sent chicken, this is the second time its happened last time I didn't even get a reply, very disappointed 😞

Worst Chinese I have ever had!! Food was disgusting!! no flavour at all!! it all tasted the same… poor service and the staff were rude and became aggressive when questioned where our order was! This establishment if you can call it that An absolute joke!! Don’t waste your money!

Great food always good. Bit annoyed that when said to driver he was very early got some story about terms of delivery state can be up to 15 minutes early or 15 after requested slot. Not sure about that.

Very quick delivery and the food was hot and extremely tasty.

I visited this place on Friday evening to pick up a take away for my dinner. A very british schoolgirl took my order, but had to keep going into the kitchen to get answers to my questions. I waited in the public area for my food to get prepared. This area was grotty and in desperate need of a lick of paint. There were around a dozen big plants taking up all the space along with an overcrowded fish tank and a rocking horse! There was also an abundance of weedkillers under the table that the fish tank was on. My food was prepared quickly and so off home I went with it. I had egg fried rice which was the greasiest egg fried rice that I'd ever had, sesame prawn toast which could have done with another five minutes cooking, and a special curry in which every piece of meat in it was of diabolical quality!

Food was hot and tasted freshly cooked, always a good flavour. Bit disappointed that they forgot our fortune cookies!

We waited 2 hours and 10 minutes for delivery (had been told ‘about 45 minutes’) and when it arrived it was lukewarm; I expect it had been cooked much earlier and put at the ‘back of the queue’ for the driver. The food was well below average anyway and we certainly won’t be giving any more business to this place. There are much better alternatives.

Where do I start?!? Food is beautiful. Arrived on time and nice and hot. Delivery driver was friendly and pleasant! But also I received a big beautiful calendar with my order as a gift to celebrate Chinese new year. Such a thoughtful and kind gesture. Thank you so much, highly recommended!

Food was amazing. But was very late. But was understandable. Did have to call a few times to chase.

This is one of the best takeaways we have found. Food is lovely, freshly cooked and huge portions. Staff are lovely,we normally order and pay online and have delivery and its always so easy. I made a mistake with my order and rung to amend it and it was sorted in no time with no problem, I would 100% recommend Mandarin House.

Cold food obviously been cooked and sat in the container for a while as it didn’t taste fresh also 15 minutes late, I feel I’ve paid well over the price for cold tasteless food and won’t be using them again

Ordered meal for delivery was told an hour to an hour and a half after calling them it was 2 hours. Was not very good food . Although it was hot the chow mein was very sweet, sweet and sour prawn balls soggy. Beef in black bean sauce no black bean. Not worth 31 pounds and will not use again.

The food arrived cold and when we rang the restaurant we were shouted at by the manager and had the phone slammed down on us. The chicken on a stick was like rubber and the chicken chow mein was so dry, it tasted like it was 3 days old and reheated, I requested another order but was told no delivery pick up only? I will never order from this restaurant again mandaring house, the food and service is disgusting, definitely not recommended to anyone else...

Food from here is normally excellent but today everything was over cooked or in terms of the ribs stringy and with a sauce like water very poor i hope this was a one off

Good is always delivered hot and in time and tastes amazing

we have ordered from here, many times, normally really lovely. but our last occasion the food was tasteless and not cooked well at all, we asked for a partial refund to which we have had nothing. poor. won’t be using again

Delicious food and fast delivery

Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. The aromatic crispy duck was very dry and the quality of the chicken in the chicken with cashew nuts dish was poor. Used to enjoy the food from here but on this occasion we were really disappointed.

Order was VERY late & items were missing… Absolutely devastated!!

Excellent service and food as near to perfection as I have ever had.

Food items were correct however the chow-mien noodles were different to normal, flat noodles with a mushy consistency. The chicken and yellow bean also lacked the sweet taste which was disappointing and not up to the usual standard we enjoy from here.

Chips were soggy and kinda gross - chicken balls fell out of the bottom of the bag because it had sweated so much in the larger plastic bag

Rushed time unfortunately Chicken Balls were pink inside and rice was luke warm. Shame normally great food

Second time food has arrived cold and also they didn’t give me the chips I ordered, won’t be using them again!

The food arrived 1 hour 45 minutes early so I refused delivery. The food then arrived 20 minutes late and by the quality of what was delivered was probably the original food reheated. Won’t be using this restaurant again.

Brilliant service and very tasty food

The last 3/4 deliveries have been 1 hour 15 to 2 hours approximately. Will pick up in future as this is just too long.

Very expensive and the quality was poor waited nearly 2 hours for it to arrive

The pork bun was way too doughy and there was hardly any meat in it. Any sauce would have been helpful.

After a few disappointing past orders when forgotten this was excellent no complaints

The food arrived very quickly but unfortunately the quality was quite mixed. The sweet and sour pork was very good but the lemon chicken was very dry and the beef with onion was inedible. Good chips after some added salt and vinegar.

They kept changing the dime of delivery also said I will get £5 off next order…. Can’t find that anywhere so not sure how to cash that in… disappointed

There is a service charge on my bill, it would be good to know what this is for.

Chicken wasn't so good this time. They need to slow down and treat every customer as king.

2.5 hours from ordering to door.

I pre ordered my food at 18.00 for 19.20. I then had a text message to say my food was on its way. The then rang the Chinese shop to find that my food had just been started and that time was 20.20. And I now have to wait another 30 minutes for my food.

All was fine, except not sure what they've done to the chicken balls. They were horrible. No hint if nice white chicken breast.

We love the food from the Mandarin and usually have no complaints but tonight we waited almost 2 hours for delivery! This is unacceptable. I get that we ordered during a busy time but they should stop taking orders and try to catch up if delivery is going to be more than an hour. Luckily the food was delicious as always so we didn’t complain.

Second time in a row no food at time requested. That was 50 minutes late. Had to ring yet again as no sign after 20 mins late clearly not cooked again same as previous order total shambles. Worst of all for second time had Just Eat email saying delivered enjoy your food but no food. They just say this to get off list but not sure they take JE seriously. Not a happy customer.

Food from here is always superb. Tastes freshly cooked with amazing flavour.

Worst ever Booked 19.45 it was changed to 19.50 still no sign.20.05.Rang restaurant who had not even started our order even though Just Eat site said delivered enjoy your food Total shambles.Finally arrived 20.30 worst ever experience. Who pressed the button to say delivered ?

Told them NO NUTS and they’ve ignored it. AGAIN. Not acceptable for an allergy sufferer.

Absolutely all took the money out of my account on ordering online and they’re trying to tell me that hasn’t gone through and I’m not sending delivery and won’t offer a refund even though I showed them the money called out my account don’t go here thy will scam you for your money !!!!

I ordered duck but what turned up was indescribable and had the texture of wet cigar leaves absolutely disgusting and went straight in the bin. DON’T ORDER THE DUCK!!!!

Lovely food, polite staff, and good delivery time

Not only was the estimated delivery time MUCH longer than usual, when my food arrived it was obvious that leaving a note for the restaurant was a pointless act. I specifically asked for NO CASHEW NUTS and yet there they were! So a meal intended to be shared between myself and my daughter wasn’t possible. Disappointed to say the least but could have been dangerous had I not noticed before eating.
