Simply delicious, excellent portion sizes, incredible flavours, best Thai I have had in a long time and Thai is my favourite food!! Very highly recommend!!!

Definitely the best Thai in Newquay. So many flavours & always a quick friendly service. Been here many times and never disappointed! Slightly different set up to others but don’t bother going anywhere else! Big portions and reasonable too!

Wow! The food was amazing -restaurant quality. The pad Thai and red chicken curry was amazing. Good sized portions. Was very hot and freshly cooked.

This came up on a Google maps search, went instead of getting a bus into Newquay town. It was absolutely brilliant, very tasty and good value.

After not being able to find it as it looked liked someone's house- it was- I guess the term don't judge a book by it's cover comes to mind!! Very tasty, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Some of the best Thai I've eaten. Lovely friendly service. Would highly recommend

I've ordered Mams takeaway many times over the last 6 months and they always deliver amazing, authentic Thai food. The balance of the dishes is always spot on. I'm super fussy when it comes to Thai food, but I've enjoyed every dish I've tried from them and am impressed at how fresh the vegetables and prawns etc always taste!. Friendly service too. Very highly recommend.

I can't recommend this place enough! Authentic and homely! The customer service was exemplary despite them being inundated with orders. Probably our best meal in Cornwall, all things considered.

We ordered a few dishes from here as Kahuna was closed, we were quite disappointed. The quality of ingredients was low and the authenticity of a Thai was quite way off the mark, the Pad thai tasted more like a Chinese chow mein and the red curry sauce was not very good. The spring rolls were nice but I would not eat here again there are better choices for Thai in Newquay (you may have pay a bit more but worth it)

We enjoyed an amazing take away this evening which included the most fabulous rack of ribs. They were the best we’d ever tasted. Generous servings and delicious food at amazing value for money. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

5 of us ordered takeaway and everything was amazing! We had starters, curry, thai soup, rice, noodles... all of it was great. There was SUCH an extenive menu! Will definitely eat there again! They did delivery too.

This is quite a quirky place. Tried to get through on phone but couldnt, tried to order online but wouldn't accept address so ordered online for collection in 20mins. Sat nav took me there but couldn't find it so parked and found on foot. It is the garage of a standard house with the cooking done in the house (There is a small sign outside I had missed). They hadnt got the order but then said it had just come through but said it would be another 30 - 40 mins. There were chairs in drive to wait. The food finally arrived about 1h25m after ordering and 1hr after arriving. However, it was worth the wait great quality ingredients fantastically cooked. The chef was really friendly as well. Highly recommended as long as you're not in a hurry. Think trying to get through on the phone best way to order.

After never having Thai takeaway before I didn't know what to expect. It was amazing! The whole pot was gone in a few minutes. Online ordering is convenient and professional, and the service is very friendly and authentic too. Will definitely be going here again!

We wanted a takeaway whilst on holiday and ordered from mams authentic. We were so glad we did......it was soooo tasty we had it again and tried a 3rd time but they were closed that night.It is one of the best Thai we have had and I would recommend to anyone.

Literally THE best Thai takeaway I have ever eaten in my life... and I have eaten a lot of Thai takeaways, the most unreal tempura squid and AMAZING green curry, it was the best thing I have ever eaten, the prawn crackers were out of this world and the loveliest lady delivered it. 10/10 never ordering another takeaway again

Asegúrese de escoger el menú como el sitio web realmente tenía una selección limitada de lo que está realmente disponible, a unos pocos cientos de metros abajo del Morrison's y supermercados lidl.

En vez del típico pescado y patatas fritas o llevar chino, decidimos, tras una recomendación de un amigo tailandés para probar esta comida para llevar.Recoge un menú de la 'casa' ... decidió utilizar la entrega gratuita.Se tarda aproximadamente 40 minutos para preparar sus comidas.¡Qué fantástica comida, ya que teníamos dos niños pequeños que necesitábamos para adaptar el "calor" en algunos platos que harán para usted.La comida era fresca, aroma y sabor excelente era genial. Y para rematar,, los niños incluso intenté comida que no esperaba para probar, calamares era un ejemplo.Volveré a usar esta llevar regularmente.

Phoned our order in, when we went to collect we were told they only take cash (no mention of this on menu). We got food only to find some of order was missing. Food was pretty good when we finally ate, but service was lacking

Venden comida para llevar sólo y básicamente es llevado de la casa de alguien, así que estaba un poco escéptico cuando pedimos. Sin embargo la comida era realmente precioso. He comido un montón de comida tailandesa y éste fue uno de los mejores que he probado. Nos divertimos nada curry verde demasiado aventurero pero realmente fueron bien : -)

I have been to mam's twice now to collect a takeaway. Both times the food has been amazing. I live about 20 mins away from newquay but getting a mam's takeaway and heading to the beach to enjoy it is well worth the trip.

The takeaway service is very good. Mam will make alterations to suit your palette, giving you a first class Thai takeaway. There's also one table available for that special get-together in their compact and bijou one-roomed restaurant. Good value for money!

I have eaten here a few times and the food is lovely, but it always takes over an hour to get your food and the last three times I've tried to order a takeaway they have been closed. It's such a shame because they make lovely food but there are no definitive opening hours!

First time ordering from Mam's, it was recommended by a friend. Booked a takeaway for a specific time to be delivered, arrive bang on time & piping hot. Food was truly delicious, so glad to have found Mam's, will deffo be ordering again.Also incredibly reasonably priced, there were 4 of us and the total came to £40 which we were more than happy to pay for the service & very yummy food!

This is a take away operated from a residential house. It is cooked by a Thai lady. The food has varied, sometimes being better than other times.

I had a mixed experience but overall disappointing. A lovely noodle dish. But the red and green curries were mainly water (very few prawns) and we really didn't like the taste. The prices were the same as a good take-away, so I was expecting some really good quality, value. But we ended up abandoning the meal and cooking something else at home. A real shame.

Just had a marvelous take away from Mam's in Newquay.... great recommendation from our friends and they were right ... best Thai in Cornwall. We will certainly be back, the squid was off the hook, the fish cakes were proper and the Tom yum was ... yum!

Extremely friendly service and the best Thai food I have ever had. I've been to many Thai restaurants all over the UK and Australia and the food from Mam beat the lot hands down. A true taste of the best Thai cuisine and at a good price. I can only imagine that the reviews not ranked excellent were when Mam was not in the kitchen for some reason. Thank you Mam; the ma'am of Newquay Thai cuisine.I loved the fact the Take Away was some one's ordinary semi-detached house. The waiting room is a garage done up in the style of a Thai restaurant. Go and visit rather than ordering a delivery on the phone. You won't forget the experience.

Let's be honest.... the first few reviews of anywhere are always OTT and gushing with praise for some reason. This place is obviously no different. When you roll up at the front door you do think "what am i doing here?" however the food is ok but no better. The staff seem friendly but it's a little like organised chaos judging from the kitchen in the house and I waited an extra 15 mins as my order was incomplete as the lady had been in her car when I called. Pad Thai was nice. Pork cashew nuts was ok as was the chicken with ginger. For me everything tasted too much of fish sauce. It's ok but that's it.

We were told about Mams from a relative who knows the set up. All fully licensed and approved by the local council etc and because Mam is from Thailand the food is always excellent. We ordered for 6 of us and had 5 mains and 4 rice with a selections of dishes that we put in the middle for all to dive in!!! Luckily the 6th person didnt show so we all had too much!!! Next time I guess we'll order 6 main but 4 rice was enough. The food was delivered on the dot that we had pre booked it for and it was piping hot and tasted devise. Just like being in Thailand! We will treat ourselves to a Mams whenever we come down to Newquay.

We happened upon Mams quite by chance last night after a long drive. We arrived at five to ten at MAMS place. Run from her home mam popped into her kitchen, deposited hubby and in the waiting room (her thai decorated converted garage) and happily cooked us an amazing green curry, pad ka prao, rice and pad Thai despite normally closing at 10pm. The takeaway meal altogether cost under £20 and I would have happily paid more. It was delicious. Mam and her husband tool great care oc us and put the fire on and gave us papers whilst we waited to take the meal back to our tent offering an eat at ours option due to the weather.What fantastic food and wonderful gracious hosts. A restaurant style service at a local takeaway. Thank you. We will see you again.

Every time I come to Newquay to stay (once a month) we have a Mams takeaway. Its a massive treat for me - the food is amazing. I live in Cardiff so we are not short of Thai Takeaways but nothing comes close to Mams. Amazing.

We have had several takeway meals from Mam's and have never been disappointed. The service was excellent, the food - probably the best takeaway food we have ever had! Love it!!

Well what can i say finally a great thai takeaway in town! Seriously very very nice. The meal was that nice we had it 2 nights in a row! I havent had the opportunity to have thai food very often, but will be having this more often. The gentlemans phone manner was very good and service prompt, we had our meal delivered to us. Food was tasty and piping hot. Hopefully they get their website up and running very soon :)

We read the previous reviews and thought 'great', at last a decent thai takeawayrestaurant. But very sadly it is not. We tried the red and green curries and a stir fry. We tried the chicken sate starter. None of the dishes were good.The curries were lacking depth of flavour and were very watery and the sate was rubbery and hard. The peanut sauceaccompanying the sate was the worst we have ever tasted. So if like us you appreciate good food, you should try elsewhere.

I love Thai takeaway and decided to try this whilst on our holidays. It was a little strange to pick up a takeaway from someones house but they had the order ready on time and it was piping hot. The hot and sour soup starter was brilliant. We had a Panang curry which was very tasty and phad thai which was also very good.

From the outside this looks like someone's house and garage, which I guess it proabaly once was but the food was FANTASTIC! I had red curry one night and it was so good we went back at the end of our hols for more when I had a hot squid and prawn stiryfry. all the dishs were fresh and tasty highly recommended.

This is a new Thai Restaurant that has open in Newquay run by a local man and his Thai wife. I decided to give it a go as someone had recommended it to me. Wow! and I am a fussy foodie. The delivery was to the door at the time I was told and the meal was fantastic,fresh, plenty and hot with a true thai experience. Enough said
