Mamoni Balti in Coventry

Visiting family in Coventry and had this place recommended to us. Absolutely brilliant, onion bhajis are top tier and the curries are fantastic. Thanks!

Nice curry but need to add more meat and bring back the sides for poppadoms.

Orderd food here , was told on the app it would take 45 mins it actually took 1 HR and 45 mins . Phoned the takeaway to see where it was they said it was on its way ..fair enough .They are only 7 mins drive away . 15 mins later I phoned back and the lady on the phone was shouting at me telling me he's just left ..I thought he left when I last called ??anyway driver arrived saying they had a big back log of orders . Why don't u stop taking orders then or give a correct ETA of delivery so customers can decide whether they want to wait that long .won't be using again which is a shame as we have before and didn't have any troubles .

Fabulous takeaway, our curries were delicious and the samosas are the best I have ever tasted. (I had to go back again to be sure!)

This is our go-to when we want a take away and we’re happy to collect even though we live on the other side of the city. Food is always excellent and the owner/staff are lovely. This review isn’t based on just one visit, it’s based on all visits (there have been lots over the last few years). Never been disappointed with food from there! Wait time can be over an hour if you’re having delivery (especially at the weekend) but to us that just shows that it’s popular. If you’re close, just pick up as you also get a small discount. Highly recommend!

Where shall I start! First time we tried because it was recommended to us. Ordered chicken bhuna, lamb tikka bhuna 2 garlic naans and 2 veg samosas. What we got was two bland curries, only about 4 pieces of meat in very bland sauce. 2 plain naans and 2 meat samosas that tasted funny. Only half way through eating realised naans were plain, lamb didn’t taste fresh and was very hard. Very disappointed!! Would have give 0 star if option was available. Will not ever order from them again and do not recommend this takeaway.

Very good and polite services and food

Not sure what’s going on. This place Used to be really good. Tonight’s meal the chips were cool madras cool and not that spicy. Keema naan was average. Past few meals have been the same.. won’t be coming here again for a while in I’ll things improve

First time I have used this takeaway service. So on the face of this first time delivery and standard of food, my rating is in the positive. The meal was plentiful and tasty. The delivery time was speedy and courteous. well done. Please keep this standard up!

Absolutely shocking ordered at 5.10 said be here 6.25 ,phoned up at 7.00 to see where order was only to be told they are still making it should be here in 15 mins. So waited till 7.30 still not arrived phoned again still not left takeaway. Phoned again lady hung up on me ,won't be ordering from here ever again.

ordered a curry told 1 hour 15 mins left it an hour and a half rang again told 5 mins. 15 mins later still not arrived. we live 5 mins away so don't bother. shame cos used to be good

It was 2hrs later than the delivery time instructed, 3.5hr after initial order, no communication to advise it was running late, cant understand why they accepted the order if they couldnt provide the service, I understand they where busy, but not to communicate, I had to phone them and chase......... poor, when I ask for some money back I get a mere £3, food was warm, food was nice. Think the customer service is appalling, poor business stratagy.

With an unexpected guest staying and nothing in the house I ordered a meal on JustEat. Straightforward order which was going to arrive in just under an hour. I was really surprised when my door knocked within half an hour and my food was delivered. Very quick delivery time. My only criticism is that the Naga curry wasn’t as spicy as I have had it from here before, but still tasted great.

Have had a few excellent meals but just lately wait time has been 2+ hours. We ordered tonight at 5.40 I rang for an update at 7.20 and my call was answered by a lady who said she was going as fast as she can and can't tell me when I'll get my order maybe 15 mins - when I said 15 mins or longer she put the phone down on me!

Food was stone cold. No flavour . poppadoms very very stale. Highly reccommed u DO NOT use this place

Love the food from here well worth the money, I personally love the chicken fried rice, veg curry and plain nan bread no complaints from me

The butter chicken was horrible wouldn't recommend, the veggie pakora was ok

Slow delivery & not for the 1st time. Waiting almost 2 hours..... and currently still waiting .... .... not good ..... will not be returning. Food wise it is normally ok, but not worth this kind of wait.

This is the best curry takeaway we have used, we are local but put off by stupid reviews, the food we have just eaten was fantastic, fresh, clean, tasty, not spicy hot (but you can ask for that if wanted) we will be using mamoni balti again, definitely, thank you for a lovely meal.

Delivered on time and was really good, just for the rice alone I would order from there again.

I have used mamomi for a while now and always been satisfied.Tonight we had friends over and ordered a few curries.We were all disappointed as there was hardly any chicken in the curry and it was quite watery. I don’t know what’s happened but not the quality we were used to.

Excellent food, excellent service

Tasty but to much sauce and hardly any prawns of which I think they must have sent out baby ones instead of king so best stick to meat curry next time.

The guys here are awesome, food always is brilliant every week without fail i always order a channa massala or a paneer curry and have never been let down by them.

After a long day on the road and no food in the house and I hadn’t had a curry for weeks I visited my favourite Indian takeaway Mamoni. Always a friendly greeting and the food is fabulous, have never had a below standard meal from here. If you want something that is not on the menu they will cook it for you. Have never waited longer than 10 minutes to be served and on my way back home.

me and my 8 year old popped in here as it is over the road from his cub pack. The lady who was serving was really friendly and offered to make us a dish that was not on the menu. We waited about 10 minutes for our food which was hot and securely packaged. The onion bhajis are big! They are crunchy and not at all greasy. The chicken makhani was tasty and no grease in sight. The naan bread was really lovely. I'd definitely order from here again.

Hi we came to get a takeaway as your food is really nice but my only complaint is. Your beautiful fish need a much bigger fish tank as the bigger ones are suffering ,it broke my heart ,I hope you change it soon.

Have a take away from this great place on a regular basis. Have never had a bad meal, all been lovely. Staff are nice & friendly also.

In Coventry on business, and as a fan of Indian food used TA to find a good takeaway, the reviews ticked a number of boxes, so I went here. A couple of spicy poppadoms and some dips, was ok but they were not served warm. My starter was a let down, a very greasy chicken pakora, with undercooked batter and far to much of it, was barely edible, I removed the chicken to eat and left the batter, very disappointing. If this had been a restaurant I would have returned it! My main was chicken shashlik, again very greasy for a dry dish, with chicken, peppers, tomatoes and onions, I removed the less greasy pieces and enjoyed them with a garlic rice and a bread. I will try again when back in Coventry and hope for better, but definitely not a good start.

Not once have I had a bad meal from this place. I did take home the wrong order once, but they called me when I was driving home with it to say, and I went back and changed it. Foood is always hot, fresh, and a fab taste . I don’t go anywhere else now. Keep up the good work.

The food has flavour and nice seasoning but the chicken is dry and naan is rubbery. Expected better from something that took 45 mins to come.

I have been happy with these as my takeaway fir a while, but when my order was half an hour later than the Just Eat / takeaway estimated time, I phoned to ask where my deliver was and had it within 10 minutes. Food was lovely but will give someone else a try as I don't want to be waiting a couple of hours for my food.

The food here is way too bland and their flavours are way off. Please do not visit this establishment. They got my order wrong and their lamb was near inedible. I now have an upset stomach because of their incapability to produce decent food.

Made another order via Just Eat and as before the food arrived before the due time. Plenty of great tasting curry with a couple of poppadoms and dips thrown in for free. Great take away.

For years we have used the same Indian restaurant however, we had a take away with friends and have completely changed our regular takeaway! We have been three times since! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everyone in our party

Lovely food .. value for money

I ordered from here as they deliver free vis Just Eat of you spend over £12. I ordered at about 6,40 and was given an estimated delivery over between 45-60 minutes then a further text telling me 7.30 so I was surprised when it came at 7. Loads of food with a couple of popadoms, salad and dips. Great value and lovely food. Defiantly one for the future.

the standard and quality and quantity never disappointed. the range of what is available is enough to satisfy most pallets. if you can ask the staff and they will try to accommodate your wish

i ordered at 9.30... at 11 15, i cancelled it... and, i'll never go there again. if i could have left no stars, i would have... i called them at 10 20, and was assured it was just coming out the kitchen... i accept it was saturday evening...and you were busy... but just tell folk if their order isnt going to be fulfilled... they'll understand, and go elsewhere... not sit like a spaniel, salivating patiently for a meal that wont arrive... its a good job you didnt teach pavlov's dogs...

I love the food that they produce - tailored to my needs. But their customer service sucks!! Told one hour delivery. Delivered in two hours and only luke warm. Complained over the telephone twice and got a rubbish reply - Told not their fault. Because of this the poor delivery man did not get his usual tip. This is not the first time. Previously I have telephoned and personally called in up to two hours in advance to collect at a certain time and still kept waiting over 15 minutes and my 10% collection discount was "rounded down"! Trading Standards would love this??

Good food but had to wait ages for delivery although it was midweek.

The bag they provided was shoddy and broke when I was attempting to carry it back to my flat. When I rang to complain the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and said that the incident was due to me dropping it not due to the bag breaking. She then continued to be rude during the phone conversation and provided no compensation, finally she agreed to deliver a new curry but wasn't particularly polite whilst doing it.

Cannot express how bad this meal was. After 15 minutes of starting to eat it I was lying on the bathroom floor not sure whether I was going to be sick or pass out. I ordered a Chicken Korai which I have had from loads of places and this one looked as though it had been thrown together with any ingredients they could find. It was so red in colour which I think is not good. My husband had a Mamoni special balti and believe me there was nothing special about it. I have kept what I could not eat and I am going to get it tested.

1st order tonight and it was absolutly amazing!! Quick delivery, value for money, and tastes beautiful. Definetly use this takeaway again :-)
