Mamma's crepe & waffle bar in Lincoln

First time I have eaten here, what an absolute little gem this place is. Atmosphere is very tranquil, staff cannot do enough for you, Coffee is the best I've had in a long while, and the food is absolutely divine, and generous portions aswell at competitive prices. Thankyou very much... we will definitely be here again.

Can't say I was massively impressed with the service, had 3 people who arrived after I paid get drinks before us, nothing complicated just 2 americanos.

The food i had was good , but nothing out of the ordinary, and i could of certainly got it cheaper. i did also wait a good 15 minutes despite the shop only have 2 other customers at the time in. overall , nice , just pricey :~)

The service was outstanding, a lovely Atmosphere, will definitely be back.

We came in with 4 adults and four children. We asked for a high chair and they said they didn’t have any so we made do with 2 children on laps. We paid £90 for hot drinks, breakfasts and pancakes for the children. We asked after about 40 mins of waiting where our food was to be told it’s on its way. We realised other tables were also asking for their food. Drinks came out promptly but we waited over an hour for the children’s pancakes and then another 20 mins for the adults meals. We ordered a side of has browns for one of meals for £2 and just one hash brown came out. Portion sizes are not great, the adults breakfasts certainly didn’t fill any of us up. The food was okay. We won’t be returning again, the staff there didn’t seem to care that everyone was complaining about the wait on food. Certainly not child friendly either. As we were leaving one customer said that he was still waiting for a cold drink and they had been there 30 mins.

Lovely little place. Absolutely beautiful food. Eggs cooked perfectly with a side of handmade hash browns. Black forest hot chocolate was amazing. Definitely check this place out.

Been wanting to try Mamma’s for a while but it’s a bit out the way of us at the Carlton centre. Noah had Nutella crepes, I had egg florentine & my MIL had waffles and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Their staff were really friendly and attentive. Even when the kids were being loud & picky😅 Only minor issue is that they couldn’t find the high chairs which made it a bit of a chaotic breakfast but they did say they do have some so shouldn’t be an issue when we visit again!

The staff were very nice and food tasted good although the time it took for the food to come out was a little long (35 mins) for what was a smaller than expected portion did lower the rating

Brilliant place, terrific food and friendly service, a gem of a place, even nicer when the sun shines and you can sit outside. It's just been redecorated and it looks terrific.

The floor was unclean @ 10am in the morning from food the day before. Coffee is served lukewarm. Service is very slow! From buying rounds of drinks on previous nights when ordering a round and paying for it to actually receiving the drinks waiting up till half an hour to 40 minutes. The food is also vastly overpriced. Overall, a poor experience

Me and my wife had the crispy crepe and scrambled egg and bacon. Wow soooo filling and soooo nice. Lovely little cafe thing.

not serving food just sweets, deceiving because in pictures pn google and description shows serving food but when i came just sweets..

Took my mum for a birthday lunch and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was spectacular and great value. The savoury side of the waffles and pancakes made a perfect lunch meal. There's a lot of variety as well in food and drink. The staff are really friendly and helpful!

We have lived round the corner from Mamma’s since it was a bigger restaurant next door, it served amazing food and always had a wonderful family run atmosphere. I used to go alone with my dog often. We were so sad when they announced closure, but then reopened next door even smaller, friendlier, cosier and with a niche and tasty menu. The staff are lovely, always so friendly and engaging while being hard working and rushed off their feet sometimes. Always a pleasure to stop in whether it’s for a coffee alone or pizza and wine with a group. Can’t recommend enough.

Amazing, welcoming staff that cannot do enough for you! Homely, cosy atmosphere. The snug is a perfect little space! Enjoyed the savoury crepes. The goat’s cheese crepe is to die for! Would absolutely recommend!

Lovely place for a drink, alcohol or soft drinks, coffee with some very tasty crepes. The bar is excellent with great staff extremely friendly and helpful. Useful if your at the Carlton centre in Lincoln. We'll worth a try, I would recommend thislovely place.

Very nice. We tried the smoked salmon crepe and crispy chicken wafflewich, both were unreal. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was attentive. Highly recommend!

Food was ok, average but the service was bad. They don’t use any heating system in the middle of the winter and when you complain about it instead of saying sorry we try to cut the electric cost or whatever she called me strange 😳😳 We found this attitude rude and unprofessional.

Nice crepes but we won't be back...... Placed an order for 2 crepes and it took and hour and a half! We were told at the point of ordering that it would be a half hour wait on food, which was absolutely fine. After 45 minutes, we checked on progress with the waitresses and were told it's still on its way, but they never actually checked with the kitchen. We watched as about 3 or 4 other parties arrived, ordered, ate, and left before we even received our food. Another half an hour later, the waitress could see we were frustrated and went to check with the kitchen. They'd apparently lost our order. The waitress apologised, and we were offered a full refund if we wanted to just leave or a free drink if we wanted to stay, and our food would only be another 15 minutes. We were hangry by this point. We'd waited long enough already but just wanted some food! So decided to wait it out and got our free drink. Another waitress then dropped by later on and said "Sorry but we're really busy" - BUSY! No. Our order got lost! And the restaurant wasn't exactly full by this point as it was 2.30pm and therefore no longer lunchtime! We're all human and we all make mistakes but that comment just made the situation more infuriating and clear that they weren't communicating among one another. To be fair, the crepes were nice but really not worth an hour and a half wait. Wish i hadn't paid for it in full given the length of time it took! I would have argued it if we hadn't already had to pay at the point of ordering.

I visited today with my husband, two young boys and dog. Was very happy it turned out to be a dog friendly place so could sit inside away from the hot sunshine. The waffles and crepes were very tasty and served quickly. Polite customer service and lovely decor.

The crepes and waffles were to die for, and service was friendly and top notch! Loved that the lady who made them brought them out and checked if we enjoyed them. Very nice personal touch! The little bar that Mama's is located in now since they moved from their big restaurant, is so nice to spend time in too, love the rustic decor and the snug in the corner looks beautiful!

This is a cute little place with a decent menu of sweet and savoury waffles and crepes. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is upscale cafe but quite relaxed. Dogs and children are welcome. You have to order from the bar as post covid table service has been scrapped. The staff were really nice though.

2 large slimline G&T's No Lemon or lime as there wasn't any available (co op literally meters away) and ice was only a bit of bag end crushed stuff - although some extra provided 10 mins later. Total £20. Were in Lincoln not central London. Really bad 😞

Met a friend for lunch at this lovely little waffle bar, had a Brie and cranberry waffle, it was delicious, all cooked by Vicky, who does an amazing job. The bar is so nice, comfy and the food is amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Thank you, see you again soon.

Lovely little cafe. Pancakes & fruit are my favourites but my daughter had a bubble waffle and that was delicious too. My husband had the crepe that was on the specials board. Lovely coffee- better than costa! Worth a visit and we have been twice already since it opened.

Absolutely brilliant! Staff were really friendly and food was fantastic.

Midweek visit so relatively quiet and service quick. The drill is find a table, peruse menu then order from bar. We rediscovered churros on our visit. Hot crispy and delivered promptly with 2 delicious dipping sauces as we ordered a 6 to share and great with our coffees. Most menu items fall into the ' treat' category but lots to choose from and next time I'm hoping to try out the savoury pancakes for a light lunch. Well worth a visit.

Amazing food and coffee, I had the peanut butter and Nutella crepe and flat white, my missus had a cappuccino, we will be definitely going back to try other desserts and coffees on the menu. Highly recommended, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
