The food in here is unbelievable, reasonably priced and yeah I highly recommend it to everyone.

I have nothing to say about the staff and the food and drink... But I do have something to say about the prices... To the point that after we complained about the price, the owner, who is also the cook, became quite aggressive... Another thing I have to say is that charging these prices and not declaring or registering as an invoice is avoiding taxes…

Never order here, I never received the order, I called twice they told me “the order will arrive in 5 minutes. » this one never happened. Thank you to the UberEats service for resolving the problem and issuing a direct refund. To flee.

Popped in here for a Match Day Breakfast of pizza and burgers. Accompanied by my parents, sister and boyfriend, we sat outside, taking in the pre-match excitement as the player coaches rolled past us. The burgers were pretty standard, perhaps overpriced but reasonable given the circumstances. The pizza was gorgeous! I'd definitely get the pizza instead if I were to come here again. Going to the toilet was also an experience not to be missed, as you were able to walk through the kitchen to see the staff hard at work and the to-be-cooked burgers stacked high in the corner, just waiting to be fried. Also quick service so great to come here before a game. Arsenal till I die.

Asked to pay bill before receiving drinks and food. Charged an additional 12% service charge without telling. Chef setup table.. waiters busy chatting in kitchen

Mamma Mia is a local gem. Paolo transports me back to Italy every time with the authentic, delicious pizza and the atmosphere of a small pizzeria down an Italian side street. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Fabulous, great service and food. Atmosphere fun and friendly, great choice of dishes on menu. Paolo is a great host and chef! Highly recommended.

The best pizza that I have ever taste in London.

Phoned and politely asked if I could order food. I was asked for my order but once I said I wished to order their special that they advertise on boards outside the shop of margarita pizza and meatballs I was rudely told no and they were closing and had the phone slammed down on me, So it seems they close at 9 on a Friday night, despite appearing very open when I went past just before. Won’t be bothering again, so many other places that can at least be polite to people. If they don’t want to serve the special then I can’t understand why they are advertising it so prominently.

I put one star as no choice but I DIDNT attend. I tried to book a table for myself and 2 children having looked at the menu and finding it reasonable. The email reply was - yes I can book but it’s £25 pp fir a pizza or lasagne and a drink. Given a margarita was less than a tenner I said no thanks. I don’t like being conned and I am assuming the price hike was to do with a certain band playing the emirates that day. Disappointing

Authentic Italian! Best restaurant in Holloway

A mate and I visited here ahead of an Arsenal Women's game in December 2022 (1-0 loss against Lyon) and felt like getting some food before kick-off. Stumbled upon Mamma Mia and the pizza was terrific. It was very quick too and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Sorry but i cannot recommend this place. Placed an order and had to chase them 4 times and took over 1h 30mins for them to even acknowledge the the order.

Watch you credit card. Sitting i Copenhagen i just paid 389 pound for pizza on my creditcard. FRAUD

The restaurant kicked us out just because we ordered one pizza and told us people are waiting but there was literally no one waiting outside the restaurant. The chef talked to us so rudely and kept on complaining.

Mamma Mia ! Pizzas are so delicious ! Feel free to eat at Paulo’s kitchen, it is very good and not so expensive. Moreover, Paulo is so kind and welcomed you with good attention. If you want a real Sicilian pizza, run to Mamma Mia quickly ! Note: very very very delicious Tiramisu !! 😋

Very cozy place with wonderful food

I went to Paolo'pizzeria and we was fantastic. The 48 hours raided pizza was amazing, the arancina as well. If you are around go visiting this traditional Italian pizzeria. You won't regret.

Lovely cosy Italian place close to arsenal stadium and Holloway road . If you like pizza you have to try this place. I'm Italian and is not always easy to find a place in London to eat a nice pizza,but I can only recommend this place. As well the tiramisu was very good and very good portion. Really Recommend!

GREAT PIZZA and awesome host . We popped in with a 4 pizza order to go and had drink while we waited.They whipped up the order right in front of us with all fresh ingredients.Authentic pizza and environment. Definitely recommend!! Also great value with 4 pizzas,glass of wine and a beer was just over £30.

The pizza at Mamma Mia is by far the best around Islington. You can taste the freshness, and I particularly like the taste of Gorgonzola with walnuts and spinach. Can’t get it anywhere else in London. Had the Tiramisu twice and it’s always been freshly made on the day. Little gem of a restaurant.

Me my wife and daughter has lunch prior to a game at the Emirates - really good pizza - almost milan like - bit slightly pricey. Not sure how two pizzas one chips and one drink could cost £35. also when there’s a child and two adults please give more than 2 tissues 🤦🏽‍♂️… Food wise it was really good - also sold bbq burgers on match day

Was excited for the pizza since the reviews were pretty good. The pizza was okay. The dessert was excellent. We got a slightly different order than we placed and didn’t get the 15% takeaway discount advertised online. Au contraire got charged slightly more when we tried to go pick up than the prices listed on their website... also there were no napkins or cutlery which is really annoying if you’re trying to takeaway to eat in a park.

Update June 2021.. Still as friendly and as good as before! Glad that they survived lockdown!!! Really nice simple pizzas. The owner is also friendly. Kids love to see him make the pizzas and, I loved eating them!! There chocolat fondant like cake was also really good! Perfect spot for a good & quiet evening!

Magnificent southern Italian restaurant. Been many times and every course has been excellent with fresh ingredients. The type of local restaurant that should be, and I hope is, a destination.

The food is A M A Z I N G and the people are so very friendly! I went there a night in February ( it was cold and pouring outside) and the whole atmosphere was really great ,cozy and made you feel like home. Totally recommend ! 10/10 !

Good quality, and very reasonably priced

As an Italian I'm always skeptical of pizzas outside of Italy, especially those made without a stone oven. However i was positively surprised by the crust, the tomato, the cheese and the bite. Everything worked well together and the price is extremely fair.

Great service, they ran out of an ingredient for the pizza and wrote a note explaining and sent us free cannoli to make up for it! Tasty pizza, fabulous and good portion of mozzarella and Parma ham.

We were walking on Hornsey Road and found this place. Reasonably priced. Pizza and calzone tastes amazing.

This guy makes the best pizza. Such and understated place, a real hidden gem. Not to mention great value as well.

Ordered a massive order, paid by card, they claimed it was wrong (card didn’t match address - my mother in law aged 70....) they then put the order 5 times before the bank stopped it (and they paid it 4x - the fifth was the stumbling block) Still waiting for the food....

Decent pizza pre-match, cosy though!

Today we went to Mamma Mia Pizzeria and it was very good. The pizza was authentic Italian pizza and was handmade right in front of you. The service was also very quick. This is the perfect place to stop before a match at the Emirates.

J'arrive fatiguée de ma matinée de Camden Hight Street et de la visite du shop officiel d'Arsenal. Je souhaite me remettre un peu de cette matinée mouvementée du 13 novembre 2019 à Londres. Je souhaite rejoindre la maison que j'ai louée juste après déjeuner. Je recherche donc un restaurant sympa dans le coin et je tombe sur la mamma mia Pizzeria. L'accueil est froid. Je pardonne tout à fait que le propriétaire des lieux aie été au téléphone. Mais pas un sourire. Je m'installe. Il n'y a personne. Je commende une pizza 4 saisons. Il M'en apporte une un peu plus chère sur la carte. Avant cela, je demande à aller aux toilettes. Le gérant me les indique dans une cuisine sans dessus-dessous. Il m'apporte la pizza. Elle est super chaude et aqueuse. Je sais que ce n'est pas celle que j'ai choisie. Je la prend quand même avec une petite san Pelegrino à l'orange. Pour finir, je demande un café avant de prendre l'addition. La tasse de café était très sale: je voulais juste la laisser telle qu'elle était. En suite ce fût l'addition (environ 15£). Je me suis sentie comme Luis de Funès dans le film "l'aile ou la cuisse" qui teste des restaurants plus que douteux...

We stopped at this Pizzeria on our way to the stadium and we weren't sorry. Pizza was amazing, waiter/cook was nice, just toilet needs some work - it's a bit unsanitary to go to the bathroom through the kitchen, while cook is making your pizza there. Otherwise pizza was really, really good.

Had the calzone, was really good. Generously sized and very tasty. Wasn't too busy and the waitress was really friendly. Very nice all round atmosphere.

The chap who I assume was the owner was quite possibly the rudest person I have ever come across, felt incredibly sorry for the young waitress who he was consistently shouting at.

Delicious food, homely service and lovely ambience! Regular customer and its never let me down. Do not miss the Ragu Aranci, the pizzas are stellar too and their daily specials are always worth a pubt.
