Honestly the best pizza I have ever had! The service was amazing the atmosphere was amazing! I will definitely have to make the trip back to Bedford for this amazing place!

Fantastic food, lovely staff and a uniquely Italian centric decor even down to the tables. Bedford is fortunate to have so many great Italian eateries with this being one of the best.

Awesome food, as always, from this excellent restaurant. It's just a shame that Just Eat couriers still apparently don't understand that you can't store cooked pizzas vertically during delivery.

We had the best time in Mamma Concetta! We went as a business group of 25 people, and Alfonso and his team were absolutely fantastic from the pre-booking to the end of our evening: accommodating, available, professional, and caring. And the food was delicious ! Alfonso even accepted that we organized a little team activity in their "Garden" private area. We really felt welcomed and we enjoyed fully our experience (food, atmosphere, service...). We will come back!

Ordered pizza at 715pm and arrived 830pm,not good enough.

The best pizza imaginable - authentic and as good as you would get in Naples . The restaurant has a fabulous atmosphere , its cosy and warm with flames from the wood fired pizza oven.. Every member of staff smiling and welcoming . Its vibrant , exciting rustic and fun. An absolute Gem . We will be back .

Very rare you find good Italian food outside of London, I ordered a Margherita pizza, tiramisu and coffee. The pizza was fantastic and having lived in Italy it is the real deal. I'm generally not a fan of tiramisu as I find it quite rich but they have the best tiramisu I have ever tried, it's a perfect mix of rich, sweet and the slightly sharp coffee taste that compliments it all Would 100% recommend and the staff are really friendly

Visited on a warm evening before a concert. We sat outside and it felt like being on holiday in Italy. Lovely food (we both had different pizzas), friendly service. Well worth a meal if in town - forget a chain, this is the place to be for a great pizza!

We enjoyed a lovely meal in this very quaint, authentically Italian restaurant. The food was amazing with generous portion sizes and everything was cooked fresh to order using obviously high quality ingredients. It was a very hot summer's evening, so we ate in the covered garden area at the rear of the restaurant. The cosy atmosphere reminded me of the gorgeous informal trattorias you find dotted throughout Italy. The staff were friendly with nice quick service and the price of the wine was very reasonable. This will be my first choice to eat at next time we go back to Bedford. Perfect!

Got hooked on Mamma Concetta after having a takeaway one day. I have had some seriously good pizzas before and I'm not easily impressed. Today I enjoyed the eat in experience there too. And just like that Mamma Concetta landed on my top 5 or even top 3 pizzerias I have ever tried in the world. This includes the oldest pizzeria in Naples. Mamma Concetta has similar relaxed ambience and fabulous pizzas and quite possibly even friendlier service. Absolutely amazing. And they can customise your pizza as you like it, no trouble at all. It takes some strong will to not overindulge there frequently! A naughty treat every now and then. If you love real pizza, you will love Mamma Concetta.

Amazing food amazing staff amazing atmosphere. Exactly how a pizza should be cooked. And the atmosphere makes me feel like I’m in Italy! Could not recommend this place more! My favourite go to is the mortadella and pistachio! But ask for the secret Carlo style! it’s off the menu but tastes amazing. Would never see this place running out of dough always well prepared unlike some others. They also do party trays now but make sure you pre order.

Have heard about this place from a friend, thought we should try it out. Nice and cozy, family run restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and the pizza was amazing. Toppings on the pizza were very generous unlike some of the other pizzerias

Very, very busy, and hence quite loud, for such a small venue. Pity they don't do pasta, but the pizza really is outstanding. Wonder if they could do a GF option for that.

Oh this is just fabulous! The service and welcome are beyond expectation ! This is the sort of restaurant you could stay in all evening! Fabulous atmosphere! Loved the food , this is how all Italian restaurants should be! Make sure to book this place gets busy and deservedly so.

This was the first time me and a friend had food here, it was lovely, I am disappointed by the waitress who joined us at the table, I explained to her I don't have my glasses, I knew what pizza I wanted, apparently toppings are extra, so I asked her and she said there £1,my friends pizza came to £16 when we got the bit it was £60, this is not very nice , The owner is a lovely guy Alfonzo but unfortunately I won't be eating there again

Really lovely food, and hosts! Thanks so much for a wonderful evening :). I would definitely recommend mamma concetta to anyone looking to have a lovely lovely family night out in a great atmosphere. The only small downside was the music volume early in the evening. My dad has hearing aids and my kids are autistic and can get overwhelmed. We all managed anyway and the volume reduced later on, aldo to be fair didn't say anything. But I'd suggest maybe turning down the base and volume a bit. Though this did not in anyway detract from the lovely food and welcome. We hope to come back.

For starters the pizza is cooked FANTASTIC and genuinely the taste is amazing ! Iv travelled to Dubai a lot and I truly would compare this to Dubai pizza ! It’s very rare I leave reviews but you deserve it. Plus every single staff member is so polite to everyone no matter who or what you are so welcoming ! Nice authentic food, friendly attentive service & pleasant staff

We visited for an evening meal with friends in December 2023. Mama Concetta is a family run traditional Italian pizzaria serving the most delicious freshly made pizzas in a warm and homely atmosphere. We booked in advance which was good as the restaurant was very busy. Despite this, the staff were not stressed and delivered excellent service as well as absolutely delicious food. The pizzas here have traditional Italian toppings, all very tasty and freshly made, no deep pan stuffed crust here - they are very tasty. The desserts are also an excellent traditional Italian variety. Overall, we would wholly recommend this excellent pizzaria and will definitely return.

When pizza places are ten-a-penny these days, you have to go the extra mile to stand out, and Mamma Concetta delivers in spades. We managed to book for lunch today with very short notice and were told we’d have to sit in the garden area. This turned out to be great though – it was heated, away from the hubbub of the main area and had a more chilled-out vibe to it, and also gave the 4-year-old in our group the chance to run around to her heart’s content. The staff, who were all smiley, attentive and delightful, even brought pencils and paper for her. The food was decently priced, and tasted phenomenal – my pizza bianca was incredibly good, and everyone else was highly impressed with their choices too. The little details mount up to make a big difference – the chilli oil on the table; the blankets on each chair in case we felt cold; the excellent coffee, in a cup whose handle you can actually get a finger through, served with a separate jug of hot milk; the wonderful salad containing very good things like raddichio and lamb’s lettuce, with a perfectly-judged dressing; the inclusion of a selection of little, delicious cakes as an option on the dessert menu for those like me who can’t decide which one they want… wow. There are some superfluous apostrophes on the menu and on the signs on the toilet doors, but when this is the worst thing you can say about a place, you know you’re onto a winner. Ten out of ten for Mamma!

I almost don’t want to tell others about this gem! This place is wonderful! Proper Italian family run place. So welcoming. The pizzas are just incredible. I almost didn’t want to write this, as it will become even more difficult to get a seat in this little star of a restaurant!

I've been to mamma concetts many many times with friends and family food always good. But called there this evening with my husband to get takeaway pizza and was meet by a very rude abrupt member of staff that told me were I should stand like I was a child not ever a please does this person needs to learn some manners when dealing with the public.as customers pay her salary.

A lovely Pizza (Divalo) plenty of toppings of Pepperoni & Nudga with Red Peppers. Cooked in a traditional oven. The mixed salad was superb. The only disappointment for this Italian eatery was that they didn’t sell Red Italian Wine by the glass only Chilean!!! Friendly Service

Proper traditonal Italian Pizza! We order from them all the time and they have become famous within our friends and family whenever they come over to visit. Highly recommend the Salsiccia e patate Pizza or the Diavola. Very friendly staff and amazing food!

Really lovely place lovely atmosphere great food. Would certainly recommend to anyone comming to Bedford. Authentic Italian food, Authentic Italian atmosphere. My only down side, and this is only small! The music was a bit too loud, a thumping base that if up one notch more on some tracks might have been painful. But it didn't really detract from the great food and service :)

Came here for a work due with my colleagues. First time here and it was brill! The food was delicious especially the pizza’s. Friendly and warm environment. Highly recommend a visit.

By Bedford standards this is a fantastic outlier. Dough is flavourful and well prepared. To be hypercritical, there are a few things keeping it from getting to the "Italian pizza" level. The main point which could be improved is the ingredients. I had the Napoli, and the olives, for example, tasted like generic tin olives. The tomato and mozzarella, although there was nothing wrong with them, were not bursting with flavour (as is possible). Anchovies can have a pleasant flavourful oiliness alongside the saltiness, but I didn't find it here. All this to say sourcing better ingredients could up the game to an even higher level - but then again seeing as everyone seems happy maybe it's not worth the extra cost :P

I’ve had pizza all over the world let me Just say this is the best pizza by far outside Italy, the pizza is light as it should be, fresh and quick our the oven, the service was impeccable without being in your face, and the atmosphere was joyful with everyone being there to enjoy a good thing! Book this place and experience it, your be wondering why you order dominoes 🤣

OMG! This was The BEST pizza I have eaten in ages!!! The Mortadella & Pistacchio was a first EVER & just left me stunned!!! Better than what I have eaten in 🇮🇹🤦🏻‍♀️! BRAVI 👏👏👏!!! The sourdough impasto incredible!! We will be back… even if we live an hour away 😂

A nice place to have pizzas and pasta. The ambience is warm and cosy. You can see the pizzas being made in the oven. The pizzas are neopolitan style. Fresh and delicious! They also do takeaways. The staff is friendly. It's a fairly popular place so better get a reservation, particularly on Fridays and week-nights :)

Maybe caught it on a bad day wasn't great

The delivery kid was new and packed the pizzas sideways into the warmer. He was new and very nervous and didn't want to ruin his life. Please make sure hes given clear instructions as he was young and very dopey looking. I don't think he had ever seen a pizza before.

Pizza came on time but missing the desert I got. Sadly this is the first time ordering from this place and it's not given a good first impression especially when you have to pay a service charge on top of the order
