Mama's Kebab House in Cardiff

Had placed an order with them to have it delivered when I opened the bag they sent the wrong order they sent a Hawaiian pizza instead of a burger and I had ordered a mixed grill for 13£ well it’s not worth 13£ what a rip off a few bits of meat tried to call even though it says open till 4.00 so don’t under stand why they not answering will definitely not order from these oh and the chips/fries are undercooked

Stale food and staff rather unfriendly and condescending.

Friendly staff and decent for a kebab or quick food but after finishing a shift I ordered and it wasn't that good in terms of taste

Ordered 3 different meals on ubereats, only received 2 which included 2 whole pizzas and sides. Asked uber and they said they gave everything they were given. Called Mama’s and even though they say they close at 4am, 5 missed calls later, I am still waiting for someone to pick up and let us know where our food is. I would understand if a small item such as a side was missed but how does an establishment just ignore a third of the order with no one on the other side to ask for help? Please do better, we were really looking forward to our meal.

NERVER ORDERING. This pizza tasted like cardboard. One of the worst pizzas I had . The toppings fell off the pizza of how sloppy and poor this pizza is. The chips were watery,unsalted and they were mushy but bc of my hunger I had no choice but to torture my self with those chips. This whole mess costed me £27.30.

Food was so vile took it BK n it was worse it's in the bin no taste cold sould hard chicken donner kabab was greecy hard black tasted so bad I was sick never had anything so bad I'm hungry can't eat it it's cut my lip it's definitely not chicken it was black red mess my daughter had a cold greecy tasteless wrap lamb donner can't eat it or chips cold hard over cooked stale terrible food wasted my money time now were sick they were so understaffed helpful n rude n don't answer the phone u got no chance of getting ur money back it's vile chicken was so hard cut all my mouth never had such a vile meal in my life id not recommend it too anyone at all there pic r fake I ad to change it twice n look at it still got worse n worse now we cant eat wasted my money on that stuff food poisoning for sure I'm going to tradeing stardand they sud be shut down asap it's terrible how there still open don't go there its very bad food gone off. Green bits of mould I'm sick I'll take this further

Absolutely disgusting pizza very sloppy and tasted horrible ( do not buy ) not worth the money also they don’t look at notes on Uber eats, I clearly said not to knock the door at 3am and he did anyway. Waking up the baby. Just opened my chips and nuggets and it’s clear that the chips are microwaved, very soggy and wet plus very cold. Nuggets are very hard probably been in a bank of a freezer for months. (only eat here if you want food poisoning)😡🤢🤮😵

AVOID AT ALL COST! Staff are abhorrent. Racially profiled members of our group (who didn’t even order) and others in the store. Store manager/owner didn’t know his own menu and yelled at customer for asking for cheese on chips - it was part of the meal deal… Don’t be surprised if you don’t get what you order because they will try and serve 30 people at once by memory. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t work. Hairs in food are also common, which really adds to the experience on top of the hate crime-ing. One star is being far too generous. The fact that this store is allowed to trade is unfathomable.

wouldn’t accept my calls. i’m allergic to lamb and i requested a chicken donna kebab. i told them about my lamb allergy and i still got a lamb donna kebab. had i not smelt the pungent smell their lamb donna provides, it could’ve killed me. -1000/10 for customer service , they paid me no attention when i asked if my allergies were acceptable. they try and act friendly but i would rather go to chicago bulls than mamas. act all big and listen to no one. hope you’re all safe.

I’ve eaten in the majority of restaurants in Cardiff, I’ve extensively travelled the UK and eaten abroad, I’ve even been homeless so I understand how hard it is to go without food, however in my 37 years of being alive on this planet, I’ve never eaten something so horrible. The attitude from the delivery driver was disgusting, the way he spoke to my pregnant partner was just unacceptable, I could put it down to the language barrier, but no, I think he was just rude. The order was completely wrong, they seem to struggle with the most basic instructions, they couldn’t even tell the difference between garlic sauce and mint/yogurt sauce. It cost me nearly £2 for a can of Pepsi and it cost me £20 for a handful of cold stale chips, 10 pieces of diced chicken, and a handful of diced rabbit salad, which didn’t look appetising to my 6 year old daughter. I think if you’re extremely drunk it might taste nice and they could fool you for believing it was acceptable to pay that sort of money, but I would have to be paralytic and on the verge of death to actually eat in this appalling, disgusting downright joke of a place. Also just to add, I rang them 32 times and my partner rang them 33 times and they don’t answer their phone so if you want your money back or you want to make a complaint about the food, you’ll have to drag yourself down to the restaurant, which defeats the purpose of ordering online, and also where you’ll just be told where to go, because they’ve been able to get away with it for so long. Unfortunately I had to give 1 star to write this review, but when a restaurant is based on word of mouth and in an area that’s surrounded by restaurants that sell the exact same thing but at a better quality and more substantial amount for your money. I would have to say, anyone would be mad to spend money in this place. Worst restaurant in Cardiff.

I got rub there,when they see a bit drunk they over charge you! Tonight I ask for no drink but they still put a drink for me! Also they charge for a large chicken but I only had a small chicken never go there again!

Both myself and my friend ordered a sausage and chips from this place which ended up in us both not feeling well due to the undercooked food, which made us very I’ll. we have gotten food from this place before bud unfortunately this night was especially busy and we felt the food was therefore not cooked and not presented properly.

Ordered different things from this place and have never been disappointed. Food is always hot on arrival, and is a lot for your money. The Mega Box is a winner!

Second time here in two weeks, glad I have tried this food as just had the Mix grill with the rice and OMG it was so nice. They didn’t have Kofta but gave me mix meet and it worked a treat. My wife is fussy with kebab meat and she really liked it too. Fair play prices are good, staff are friendly and the seasoning rice was banging 👌🏼 definitely my new kebab shop even if I got to travel a little 😀

Only been once food was awesome

We ordered four meals and they only sent three. We tried calling them but they didn't answer.

The kebab was incredible. The best in town. Any detour is worth it, even across full Cardiff. The walk home with a bowl of delicious food in hand is kind of difficult, but good friends like to wait.

An amazing Kebab. We ate before took a picture as was amazing taste. Home made in every respect. Closes for winter season unfortunately. Will eat her net time.

Whether you're drunk or sober look no further, If you're in the mood for a pizza, kebab or burger, Mama's is and will always be my number one, The service and quality is second to none. The meat is so tender and the chips cooked on demand, I hope these master chefs never disband. For only a tenner you can get a mixed kebab, chips and drink If you're planning on going elsewhere, then I'd recommend a rethink. Thank you Mama's for always making me feel whole This is the best kebab I've ever had, from New York to Seoul Your food fills me with delight, I'm over the moon, I'll be back for definite, I'll see you again soon.

I ordered food the driver decided to drive off and basically make out I’ve had my food I’ve rang up over and over again finally got through absolutely disgusting how I got spoken to will never ever order from here again I understand some drivers do just disappear making out they have delivered my food but no way will I accept to get Spoken to the way they spoke to me learn to talk to your customers the right way cost nothing to be polite !!!!

Love the mega box from here! Especially the chicken kebab meat!

Placed an order online for delivery via Uber Eats. Driver was on was to collect, after an hour, and then out of nowhere they cancelled the order. No phone call or an explanation. Just blatant rudeness.

I used to order food at this place. But in February, after I ordered lamb ribs and shish via Deliveroo, I experienced acute gastroenteritis, vomiting and diarrhea, stomach pain, and fever. I will not order this food again. Saray restaurant is always better!

Ordered a few mains and all were filled with the wrong meat, garlic bread was burnt. The chicken they gave me instead of doner was so hard it was inedible. Also this is a bit nitpicky but I paid £4 for a milkshake and it was tiny but it was kinda nice

Only leaving a 1 star as 0 isn't an option. Ordered on Deliveroo and my order was completely wrong. A chicken wrap instead of a donner wrap, and a chicken kebab instead of a donner. I tried a chip from underneither as I was super hungry, and they were so undercooked they were basically raw. The only things correct were Onion rings and garlic bread and the garlic bread was so burnt it was inedible, I tired anyway and there were chunks of raw garlic. Couldn't even get a proper refund. And still had to pay the service fee. What a joke.

Unfortunately a few of our items were incorrect but all the food was nice and delivered in good time. Ordered through Just Eat so awaiting them to look into issues with the food

Chicken kebab is one of the best I’ve had. asked for extra meat, paid a little extra but it was so worth it!! Keep it up guys

Absolutely dreadful. Ordered 2 of the strawberry cheesecake slices from there and both came covered in mould and even smelt off. Utterly ridiculous that they even thought to still send that.

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered a shish wrap and wings, couriers kept going there and waiting and waiting and then cancelling each time over the course of an hour and a half. I text one and he said when he arrived they said it would take 15 minutes. Amateurs. I've been up til the early hours waiting until they cancelled it. Two items like. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE

Asked for a meal 2 which is originally supposed to consist of 5 chicken strips and received 3, simple maths, get it right

Kebab was standard, lacking flavour but with items being missed out of the order I still wanted some money back. When called they hung up straight away showing the lack of respect this takeaway has for their customers. Their garlic bread is exactly the same as home bargains 50p version - go there and save yourself a few quid. Delivery takes far too long, over 2 hours, very disappointing.

There was no side of chips with the order and when called there was no response. Garlic bread is worse then shop bought quality and there was a hair in the food. Poor quality all round.

We ordered food we ordered the mixed grill and 2x 1.5L bottles of coke, we received the order and the bottles of pop were missing we called the guy back to the house and said and he said ‘I ain’t going to do anything I’ll bring you a free one if you order again tomorrow’ already tamping we going inside and open the food to find burnt lamb and chicken was burnt and the lamb donner was undercooked and the fries were soggy from the lack of respect from the guy and the disgusting food I recommend ordering from some where else. When we phoned to complain I had the phone ended on me. When we called back he was extremely disrespectful

Wow!! I mean it, classy kebabs! The presentation is exquisite - makes me feel good for having fast food hahah! The chicken donner tastes different to every other kebab place I’ve been to, it’s like tandoori chicken. Amazing!

Mamma does not disappoint if you fancy a quick snack like a kebab or burger or chips etc. Cheap and cheerful. Can either take away or sit outside. Limited seating but there are steps nearby if the tables are full. Very friendly place 2 eat and lovely family. Easy 2 find opposite Time Out and just round the corner from Attika bar.

They haven't even arrived yet and it has takeb about 3 hours for them to even start "preparing" dont order from here worst experience.

Huge portions and cheap meal deals.

Can't lie, it's impossible to top mama's after a night out.. Unbelievable value for money and quite frankly a superb choice of food. The atmosphere is unrivalled and is more of a party than the club; bossman is a g. Shall be returning.

A friend got me a quick bit to eat Chips cheese and gravy The cheese and gravy was lovely but the chips they are like frozen chips from asda I would prefer nice chunky chip shop chips But I guess the food will do for a quick snack Pizza is lovely mind and salad is very nice and fresh Chicken is really nice Just advice change the chips

The wait is incredibly long. They keep on forgetting your order and when they give it to you it is wrong. That combined with their attitude and shouty way of speaking at you makes for terrible customer service. The food is manhandled in a very unhygienic manner. Go to T&As or Family Fish Bar.

Under new management and the food is superb. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and tasty. Definitely worth a visit and a cheeky take away. Keep up the good standards.
