Mama Mia! in Lancaster

AVOID. Food had not arrived after nearly 3 hours from promised delivery time, kept phoning, kept being told it would arrive soon. Cancelled order after 3 hours by mutual consent. No food supplied yet Refuses to give refund.

Order through just eat took over 3 hours to arrive, by the time it came we had all gone to bed. Phoned restaurant and sent food back they said would get a full refund and now are telling just eat they wont

Didn’t even arrive, staff totally unhelpful when I rang.

Ordered a pizza this evening and for some reason there was an issue so it took over an hour an a half. However they were very apologetic and sent some free stuff to make up for it. And it was a fantastic pizza when it arrived. Usually they are much faster, but on this occasion something went bad, and they showed excellent customer service to fix it. Recommended.

Best kehbab in town... we get a takeaway twice a month u can't beat mamma mia !!!! The food is fantastic an the new delivery guy is quick 👌 10/10

The food is really good from here (they do stuffed crust pizza!), but recently it seems common for them to reject or refuse to acknowledge orders on Just Eat - or take much longer than stated for delivery if you do manage to put in an order, which is disappointing because I love the food.

Food wasn't cooked properly replacement was sent and that was cooked properly either

Called to ask if they would make a load of naan for me. Superb, £1 each, freshly made and perfect for my winter bbq !!

Can not complain. Polite, fast service, helpful food is amazing. Highly recommended!!!

Orderd from here @6:30pm for our tea, it’s now 8:45 and still not arrived it’s an absolute joke, I’ve phoned numerous times he keeps saying he’ll be there in a minute, absolute fuming and starving thanks for nothing!!!

Nice take away. The food is great and the waiting time is optimal. Food is served warm and is of good quality. The staff are friendly too. One of them gave me a nice piece of liver try for free. Lol Only downside may be that the place is not spacious but I guess Mama Mia shares that issue with a million other takeaways so it shouldn't be a dealbreaker for you. Overall, I recommend.

Always great food from pizzas, donah kebabs and burgers. Quick delivery great staff and the owner is super.

Order a lot from here. Always good, but they need to update the apps and website when they're busy. Placed an order and it took 20 minutes to tell me they're not taking orders.

I ordered 2 large lamb shish kebabs and garlic bread with bottle of Coca-Cola.We got 2 regular kebabs .Portion was very small compear with previous orders.Food was lookwarm. IT was fresh and delicious despite exta small portions.

Save your money!! 2 hour wait for bog average food. Called to chase order and the person who answered wasnt particularly helpful, polite or apologetic.

Food arrived after 45mins or so, but they had made mistakes. No big issue, we’ll call and get them to correct. Only an hour later than that when enquiring where the food is all we get is a rude unhelpful response. Given all the other local options this is certainly a place to avoid.

The wrong food arrived. An hour after we told them this there is no sign of the correct order, only a rude person on the other end of the phone with no hint of even an apology. Avoid.

This place isn't perfect by any means but it is consistent. The pizzas are nice. I always ask for mine to be well done and they always oblige. The chips are not good. They definitely need to change the ones they use. Always soggy and questionable as to whether they really are a large portion. The Donner meat is nice and peppery and full of flavour. Naan breads are nice. Popcorn chicken is crispy. They lose the one star for the chips. Other than that I would recommend for sure SINCE POSTING THE CHIPS SEEM TO HAVE IMPROVED BUT THE PIZZA HAS GONE DOWNHILL. UNDERCOOKED WITH TOO MUCH CHEESE.

accidently ordered from here when i meant to order from a place with the same name but in a diffrent place as i dont live near lancaster. When i saw that i made a mistake i called them up a minute or 2 after and asked to cancel the order. as of writing this they still havent refunded the order.

Got it really quick but the portion sizes of my kebab where extremely poor whont be back

I have been a loyal customer, ordering from Mama Mia, both on FoodHub and in-person. For my last order, I ordered a 9" Pepperoni pizza, a sizzler burger, and some chips (with tomato sauce). I DID NOT RECIEVE THIS ORDER. Instead, they delivered a Garlic bread, one chips (with no sauce) & one chips with tomato sauce. I called the restaurant, and it was the owner that answered 'apparently', and he had 'apparently' 'made' my order. He was definitely lying! He acted all confused. Despite saying what I ordered, and what had actually turned up, about 50 times, he was having none of it. What an unreliable service? Also, the funny thing is, that this INCORRECT order arrived in about 30 minutes, which is basically 1 hour faster than it would normally take, because their delivery times are long! Very long!

Over 2 hours for delivery. Plus they lie!

This was suppose to be a pizza they banged on my door woke up everybody then gave us this slop. Disgusting service will never eat from there again.

Definitely would recommend food was piping hot when we got it delivery time is quick aswell Donna kebab was cooke just right also u get a decent amount in ur wrap was lovey probably the best takeaway we have found in Lancaster

Nice and friendly service I ordered Doner meat chips with cheese and curry sauce but you have to ask for the curry sauce on this order as they don't have it on the menu I would like to give my opinion percentage of 60% worth the money

I think we just found our new favourite takeaway! We walk past Mama Mia, everyday and we ordered on a whim after our regular takeaway cancelled our order. The food arrived promptly, the delivery driver was great, super friendly and the food. The pizza pretty near perfect, since moving to Lancaster a year ago we've struggle to find a takeaway that was able to replicate our favourite takeaway at home. The chips were perfect, garlic mayo was spot on too! The only criticism would be the regular chips was a tiny portion.

Food late and cold. Delivery driver very polite but more interested in street logistics and how long house had been built….presumably cover up for late delivery as he couldn’t find us! Food average but cold chips are sh1te!

Time wasters made us add more to a delivery for them to deliver for them not to bother to deliver

When I want Ben & Jerry's delivered with speedy and friendly service I go here every single time. Place is always spotless with good safety practices observed. Good over counter banter back when it was allowed. Nice people. Buy with confidence

Mama Mia has top food at good prices, well tasty

Been a good customer for ages ,not anymore ,food cold ,wrong order ,everything burnt ,and this is not now and again its constant after waiting an hr dont know who cooks for them but I'd sack them ,not good anymore,and it has one star as I wouldnt of been able to access the key pad so ignore the star .

Discusting the burger was a soggy mess not worth the money.. delivery driver very rude

If you rush their pizzas they taste crap! I told them to take their time is was like a stone baked artisan pizza well cooked and very flavoursome! You want to leave a bad review fine but don’t rush them! Food takes time to taste nice!

Fair ,pizza, 6 out off 10,friendly staff,mates kebab, said OK as well,much better than well known german kebab shop enough said.

We always use Mama Mia and done for over 8 years, there have been a few odd problems but always rectified quickly for us.

The kebab was mint, pizza was poor.

Great food but ordered tonight and it was over £40 and didn't get the free bottle of drink that you are supposed to get.

Could of had more cheese on pizza

Ordered dinner kebab meal deal...garlic bread was nice, chips not and kebabs really greasy. Wont be ordering from this one again.

Food was undercooked, kebab was cold, naan bread was doughy and garlic bread looked like Michael Myers had cut it, the best bit was the bottle of coke the rest will feed the seagulls

The hot food we ordered was lovely, the only fault was in the puddings, both me and my partner got one each, one cheesecake and one fudge cake.. Unfortunately we weren't happy with these as whrn we came to eat them a good hour after our r tea arrived they where still frozen and hadn't been defrosted.

We are new to Lancaster and trialing local takeaways for one to be the one we use. The initial response on the just me was great. The food was delivered much earlier than the quoted delivery time which was great. The food was hot , and delicious and i actually ate all of the half pound burger, normally i leave some. the balence of the salad, sauce and burger was just right for me, the chicken wings were delicious and there was plenty of chips in the portion. Would definately use Mama Mia again.

20 minutes after the time you stated it would arrive on the email and 35 minutes after it left the shop as per text message. Due to this the food was soggy and cold very disappointed as normally good service.

Delivery instructions were ignored and I had to hunt down the driver. Food was cold and chicken on the pizza was a weird brown colour. They used to be much better but have gone downhill recently

Paid for pepperoni to be added to my pizza aand there wasn't any pizza base was undercooked and bland asked for onion on my kebab and again there wasn't any first time ordering from here will give it a miss next time

We waited nearly 3 hours before getting our food, with the excuse being they've delivered it to the wrong address, and didn't think to check. It was only after we rang that they realized this.

I ordered my food at 18.40 it said to be delivered at 19.55 but didn't turn up till half 8 and said it had been delivered in the app it was also freezing cold and my order was missing things

After arriving 20 min late my £30 order I'd stone cold! Not even like warm COLD !! So after waiting over an hour and a half me my husband and my 4 children still havnt been fed as it's ALL HAD TO GO in the bin! It's just rubber!

The pizza itself was delicious, but by the time it arrived it was fairly cold. It was a lovely pizza though, but just had a tad too much garlic.

I asked for a deep pan and got a thin the food was small and not much there it was rubbish quite frankly

Got rung by delivery driver whose car I could see out of the window saying could I come out they couldn't find me. Went out, noone about, called them and said walk to entrance to flats right in front of your car. I walked up towards the car in my bare feet to see them get out of the vehicle. Not trying very hard to find the entrance were they!!!!!
