Had a lovely Christmas meal before heading to the Panto at Lancaster Grand Theatre. Festive atmosphere, fantastic food and great staff (thanks Chris!).

I have invited my friends to Bella Italia for lunch and to exchange presents. It's an experience we all enjoyed. We ended up having to split the bill in the end, but again, an enjoyable experience. My friend Josie gave high praise to the chef who was very thankful about it.

Delicious lunch and wonderful service from Niko. We were here in town for a couple of days on vacation and popped in for lunch and it was a great decision!

Nice food went with a party of 14 my son is special needs only wanted a bowl of plain spaghetti got charged £16 well overpriced

Pizza was great and our server, Niko, was very friendly.

Ordered Stella artois, alcohol free turned up, sorted the right drink out. Food came, was asked if I wanted parmesan, I said yes, it never turned up. Ordered another Stella, that never came, then they try to charge us for the alcohol free rubbish. Very poor service at Lancaster

Pedido a través de su Birdbox de entrega y llegó 2 horas después y enviaron artículos mal, llamaron y no hicieron nada al respecto. El gerente del restaurante dijo que no se podía evitar y se negó a enviar el pedido correcto. Pagamos un cargo por servicio y obtuvimos 0 de servicio al cliente, ni siquiera se disculpó por el desastre y me dijo ‘tiene un restaurante ocupado y no tiene tiempo para lidiar con esto’. No puedo creer que alguien tan incompetente en servicio al cliente esté administrando un restaurante. Qué horror.

Bella Italia in Lancaster is amazing, amazing food and amazing service, would highly recommend this place to anyone 😀 the new Xmas specials are delicious.

My mom and I had a lovely lunch visit with beautiful drinks and delicious pastas. The servers including Chris and Des were attentive and lovely to talk with during the quiet hours. The music and the design of the interior was gorgeous and it makes the restaurant a favourite for us!

Recibidos en la puerta por una encantadora jovencita ‘Niko’ pudimos elegir si nos sentábamos. Mi marido, que tiene problemas de vista, preguntó si los baños son Niko explicó y enfatizó las empinadas escaleras y tener cuidado. Tuvimos una comida encantadora seguido por el desierto compartido - naranja de chocolate que era hermoso. Niko nos revisó a través de la comida y todo lo que puedo decir es lo valioso que es para su compañía. Una joven amigable y feliz.

Absolutely brilliant experience, food was amazing and our waiter was for lovely. Only downside was that our table felt in the way of other dinners and in the way of toilets. But our experience was brilliant and we will definitely be back.

My wife and her friend went this evening after a day of Xmas shopping. My wife couldn’t praise the pizza enough best one she’s ever had and she loves her pizzas her friend had spaghetti carbonara and really enjoyed her meal as well. The staff were very friendly, they both said they will definitely go back again. Many thanks for a lovely evening.

Fabulous dinner at Bella Italia in Lancaster tonight! Emilia and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Great to be able to have a smaller pizza with salad too. Loads of Gluten Free options as well. Best GF pizza option I’ve ever had. GF cookie dough dessert was delicious! The coffee was great too and we know coffee! Excellent all round! Highly recommended!

I ordered spaghetti bolognaise as a takeaway. There was a lot of spaghetti but hardly any bolognaise. The pasta was of a similar texture to that out of a packet. The portion size was on the small side and not good value for money priced at around £14.

It is the first time we have ordered food from Bella Italia in Lancaster. We ordered the triple chicken pizza deal (buy a triple chicken pizza and get another dish free) via Uber Eats. However when we got the receipt it only had the bolognaise (the free dish) on it so the order had not gone through properly - it is possible that we made an error at the ordering stage because we are new to Uber Eats. We immediately tried to cancel or amend the order on the Uber Eats app and it said to contact the restaurant directly. We called Bella Italia three times to be met with the same response from the general manager, that there is nothing that they could do from their end. We asked him if he could just add the pizza on to the order, as it was buy the pizza and get the bolognaise free and the pizza was cheaper than the bolognaise anyway. The general manager suggested that he couldn't do this as he would have "stock missing" that wouldn't be accounted for (i.e. 1 pizza base and a handful of ingredients). We read the instructions verbatim from the Uber Eats app (see screenshots) and the general manager continued to say that he couldn't help and that the order would just be collected by Uber Eats unless there is a way we could find to cancel it. There wasn't a way as the instruction was to contact the restaurant! We were left paying more for one meal that we would have done for two and with a lot of frustration after dealing with the Uber Eats app and a rude general manager at Bella Italia. Needless to say we would not recommend. We will not be ordering food from Bella Italia in Lancaster or any of its other chain restaurants because the food was pretty bland and, as a company, they are clearly not selective enough with who they allow to manage their restaurants. We will likely go back to using Just Eat too as it is much simpler to cancel or amend any orders. An overall unnecessarily frustrating experience!

Really great service! I asked to exchange my carbonara for a pizza as it wasn't to my liking and the staff were really nice about it. I felt really bad as I have never returned food before at a restaurant but they were all just so lovely and made it a really nice evening! :)

Came here with my son (9) this week for a little treat . I can honestly say the gentleman that served us was totally clued up on allergies ( son has egg allergy) and it was most refreshing to see after visiting some places that where completely lacking any knowledge of them . The young guy went above and beyond to cover everything, and he is a definite credit to the restaurant ! The food was delicious and the restaurant and toilets were really clean . Couldn't fault it and would gladly recommend people go there !

Been to Bella Italia this afternoon we had a couple of little issues with one persons meal and the staff couldn’t be more helpful especially the manager Dez who went above and beyond, we will be back, Thankyou so much for your understanding and resolving the issue in a very generous manner.

all the food we had was absolutely delicious! all the staff were so friendly and happy to help. i would really recommend the king prawn starter, it was so tasty

Food was cold and unappetising, couldn’t cut the pizza and the spaghetti bolognese was dry with hardly any meat in it also the portion sizes were small for the price

As we went in the restaurant we was welcomed by friendly staff after we were seated and got our menus the server left us for a while she asked if we had any allergies (we’re gluten free) she took our order we waited about 5-10mins it was delicious and fresh the staff are amazing would definitely recommend you try it

A warm welcome when we popped in early in the day to see what time they closed 😀 Went back 730pm. Another warm welcome atmosphere was great. the food was great. The staff were so welcome, and nothing was too much definitely worth going 💯 thankyou all x

Love this restaurant! Last time we ate there they were a bit short staffed but the staff that were there were working extra hard to make the experience as good as possible. Food arrived quickly and was delicious.

Once again the staff was friendly and gave us a table in the window (it’s near the door ) this is great as my mum has difficulty walking once settled they give us time to decide what we want to eat my mum has a children meal as she doesn’t have a big appetite my meal and my dad meal was delicious but my mum was ok it needed more sauce (there was very little) the only other downside is they don’t have disable toilets but we would definitely return

we came for our friends birthdays meal and we had a decorated table with a banner and 4 balloons: we waited for 20 minutes to get our drinks and they were wrong, we had to ask the waiter to order our food and for our deserts, we asked for a special desert which was supposed to be decorated very birthday themed and was told they were going to make it special with sparklers and we had 3 candles on 3 deserts which we were told that the birthday girls would get a meal free or desert free and when it came to paying they didn’t take it off our bill and added a £10 service charge on which they said was optional but added it on anyway, when one of my friends came to pay she wanted to pay half cash and half card the waiter didnt look at how much cash she had and charged her extra which then her card declined twice. There was only 2 waiter working, which one was the front of house which had to work and the restaurant was pretty packed and near enough full. Will not return from this experience

Friendly staff and good food. After six years we came back to this restaurant. The service was good but the food was poor. We started with the bruschetta, the diced tomato had just come out of the fridge so you couldn't taste it and there was too much onion. I had chicken catciattore, tasteless, and we had questions over the wine, red wine usually has a zing about it, this didn't???

I had one of the best gluten free pizzas that I have eaten.

Pizza was a bit cold and should be served on a pizza stone which would keep it warm. Cara and Chris were really friendly and helpful nice to see service with a smile which seems to be missing these days.

Had a lovely meal here after visiting the castle. Cara was wonderful, always there if we needed anything and gave us really good recommendations for what to order. Will definitely be returning when we are next visiting!
