If I'm honest, we were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely early evening meal we enjoyed in Lancaster. The staff made us very welcome and did their best to ensure we received good service. Both the food and wine quality were excellent, and finished off with a delicious coffee. The branch seems a well run restaurant.

My goodness. It’s been a while since we visited. Booked a table for Saturday late lunch, sat down looked at the menu, decide that no way I was going to pay £18 for a plate of pasta or a pizza. The £7.90 is a reasonable price for a plate of pasta. The prices are ridiculous now, just another rip off place. It’s the last time we darken that doorstep. Britain, seriously! 🤷‍♂️

Me and my mum came here today. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and they were friendly the whole time. The service was amazing they wearn’t long with the food. The food was amazing, especially the garlic bread and the spaghetti and meatballs were amazing. I can't forget the cookie dough it was so good. The atmosphere was amazing so calm and quiet. I recommend coming here.

Had a lovely evening meal at Bella Italia tonight for a business meeting. The food waiting time was short and the food was top quality which coupled with the lovely staff made a great night for us.

It's was a lovely meal, priced decently and friendly staff - what more can you ask for.

Lovely meal in Bella Italia today, a small lunch for me and my husband to share. The pepperoni pizza was really tasty and good value. Only downfalls, the toilet area inside, and outside it, had an unpleasant smell. Also the service charge is automatically added to the bill; given, there is an option to take it off, but most wouldn’t want to request this, as would feel awkward to do so.

My son and I love it there it's a great restaurant for children and it's reasonable price too

Had a lovely meal at Bella Italia. Our server was Des & Alin! Both incredible and friendly! Did the 3 course set menu, so worth it! They have plenty of classics on the menu, everything was delicious and full of flavour! Food was piping hot, served super quick, hosts was engaging! Had a great meal! Thanks everyone! :)

We go here regularly, it’s one of my little boys favourites. And in a time where going out can cost a lot, their children’s menu is fantastic option. Very friendly staff and always very welcoming. Feels more like an independent than a chain which is fantastic. Thank you

I was on my own and felt a bit pushed into the corner. I also felt as though I was invisible when it came to service too. No-one came to ask me if my food was okay.

Our server Niko was great help after a bit of an issue with undercooked food but overall it wasn’t great

Fantastic night in here, not what I would call authentic Italian food but good food great service very decently priced and offers available on their app. We took our 18yr old daughter for a bite to eat before we took her out for drinks before she went out with friends. Bella italia gave her a birthday cocktail

I have invited my friends to Bella Italia for lunch and to exchange presents. It's an experience we all enjoyed. We ended up having to split the bill in the end, but again, an enjoyable experience. My friend Josie gave high praise to the chef who was very thankful about it.

Ordered Stella artois, alcohol free turned up, sorted the right drink out. Food came, was asked if I wanted parmesan, I said yes, it never turned up. Ordered another Stella, that never came, then they try to charge us for the alcohol free rubbish. Very poor service at Lancaster

Pagamos un cargo por servicio y obtuvimos 0 de servicio al cliente, ni siquiera se disculpó por el desastre y me dijo ‘tiene un restaurante ocupado y no tiene tiempo para lidiar con esto’. No puedo creer que alguien tan incompetente en servicio al cliente esté administrando un restaurante. Qué horror.

My mom and I had a lovely lunch visit with beautiful drinks and delicious pastas. The servers including Chris and Des were attentive and lovely to talk with during the quiet hours. The music and the design of the interior was gorgeous and it makes the restaurant a favourite for us!

Mi marido, que tiene problemas de vista, preguntó si los baños son Niko explicó y enfatizó las empinadas escaleras y tener cuidado. Tuvimos una comida encantadora seguido por el desierto compartido - naranja de chocolate que era hermoso. Niko nos revisó a través de la comida y todo lo que puedo decir es lo valioso que es para su compañía. Una joven amigable y feliz.

The food was fabulous! Emilia had the right balance between letting us eat in peace and ensuring that we had everything we needed. All in all a great experience! We will definitely seek out Bella Italia again next time we are in Lancaster

Absolutely brilliant experience, food was amazing and our waiter was for lovely. Only downside was that our table felt in the way of other dinners and in the way of toilets. But our experience was brilliant and we will definitely be back.

My wife and her friend went this evening after a day of Xmas shopping. My wife couldn’t praise the pizza enough best one she’s ever had and she loves her pizzas her friend had spaghetti carbonara and really enjoyed her meal as well. The staff were very friendly, they both said they will definitely go back again. Many thanks for a lovely evening.

Fabulous dinner at Bella Italia in Lancaster tonight! Emilia and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Great to be able to have a smaller pizza with salad too. Loads of Gluten Free options as well. Best GF pizza option I’ve ever had. GF cookie dough dessert was delicious! The coffee was great too and we know coffee! Excellent all round! Highly recommended!

It is the first time we have ordered food from Bella Italia in Lancaster. We ordered the triple chicken pizza deal (buy a triple chicken pizza and get another dish free) via Uber Eats. However when we got the receipt it only had the bolognaise (the free dish) on it so the order had not gone through properly - it is possible that we made an error at the ordering stage because we are new to Uber Eats. We immediately tried to cancel or amend the order on the Uber Eats app and it said to contact the restaurant directly. We called Bella Italia three times to be met with the same response from the general manager, that there is nothing that they could do from their end. We asked him if he could just add the pizza on to the order, as it was buy the pizza and get the bolognaise free and the pizza was cheaper than the bolognaise anyway. The general manager suggested that he couldn't do this as he would have "stock missing" that wouldn't be accounted for (i.e. 1 pizza base and a handful of ingredients). We read the instructions verbatim from the Uber Eats app (see screenshots) and the general manager continued to say that he couldn't help and that the order would just be collected by Uber Eats unless there is a way we could find to cancel it. There wasn't a way as the instruction was to contact the restaurant! We were left paying more for one meal that we would have done for two and with a lot of frustration after dealing with the Uber Eats app and a rude general manager at Bella Italia. Needless to say we would not recommend. We will not be ordering food from Bella Italia in Lancaster or any of its other chain restaurants because the food was pretty bland and, as a company, they are clearly not selective enough with who they allow to manage their restaurants. We will likely go back to using Just Eat too as it is much simpler to cancel or amend any orders. An overall unnecessarily frustrating experience!

I ordered spaghetti bolognaise as a takeaway. There was a lot of spaghetti but hardly any bolognaise. The pasta was of a similar texture to that out of a packet. The portion size was on the small side and not good value for money priced at around £14.

Really great service! I asked to exchange my carbonara for a pizza as it wasn't to my liking and the staff were really nice about it. I felt really bad as I have never returned food before at a restaurant but they were all just so lovely and made it a really nice evening! :)

Came here with my son (9) this week for a little treat . I can honestly say the gentleman that served us was totally clued up on allergies ( son has egg allergy) and it was most refreshing to see after visiting some places that where completely lacking any knowledge of them . The young guy went above and beyond to cover everything, and he is a definite credit to the restaurant ! The food was delicious and the restaurant and toilets were really clean . Couldn't fault it and would gladly recommend people go there !
