Great portions, taste on point and staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Not our usual spot but thought we would try, food was lovely good portions to. Friendly staff and chef.

Best jamaican ever, thank you👍🥳 I order one of each, jerk chicken, ox tail and goat and had a feast 🤩 and that little pot of sauce of yours is to cry and die for more, pure heaven 🍾 even had some leftovers for the next day, and it tasted even better on the next day 😻

Food was DISGUSTING! How on earth can these people call themselves Caribbean and be serving GREEN PEAS in CHICKEN SOUP?! They bought a tins of green peas and put it in the soup as if that’s the recipe from our ancestors! Such a SHAME! Never ordering from there again! TUPIDNESS

This was ordered for me stew beef and rice. Unfortunately it was tasteless and taste dry. Tasted like not an ounce of onion or seasoning was put on it was very salty . Rice also was not cooked properly Was a let down. What's happened food used to be so tasty and on point. Does taste like carribean food.!! Come on invest in some good seasoning and cooking.

Going down hill no flavour in food jerk just seasoned on skin no proper jerk sauce and brown stew has gotten vile no flavours at all came here for a few years the last year it isn't the same taking my custom elsewhere

Had curry goat and stew beef. I give a solid 9/10 Generous portions, lots of meat even with the goat. The goat could have done with a lot more heat, but guess they have to cater for everyone. Would highly recommend and will be going here regularly.

Ordered food for delivery. Curry goat, rice n peas, plantain and dumpling; and ackee and saltfish. The food wasn't bad but wasn't great either. The plantain was dry, not at all moist or sweet. If you're cooking caribbean on a regular, it's hard to get plantain wrong, this plantain was poor. The ackee and saltfish was in a container wrapped in plastic wrap. The lid was loose and all the juice and oil spilled out in the bag, on the floor and on my clothes. It tasted okay. Curry goat was oily. The dumpling was okay. On the plus, the food was very hot. Unlikely to order again.

Ordered two salt fish fritters £1 each, large oxtail with rice and peas £13. Where do I start, well the fritters were literally just salty fritters, not one piece of fish in either. Oxtail was the worst I’ve ever had. Mine tastes better whenever I make it, tasted of tomato ketchup. Rice was soggy and stuck together with no flavour and some pointless veg. Plus it arrived quickly but cold, they didn’t even bother warming it up. So dissatisfied and disappointed with this meal that I’ve had to throw the oxtail and rice in the bin, can’t even give that to a dog. How on earth are they still in business. First and last taste of this food. Only got it from there as bikkle didn’t have any. I’ll do without next time Bikkle don’t have it.

Best takeaway jamacan in area they make a delicious chicken soup chilli base. Curried goat stewed beef and brown chicken I've tryed all very exquisitely flavoured. Would go as far to say is best in south west area. Don't be put off by location or local crowd, hidden gem easy disabled parking and access, also can eat in and watch the world go past.

Great food at amazing portions!

We got there just before closing, they offered to heat our food up but we brought it home and heated it in the oven.....it was still incredible. The Jerk chicken was perfect and the chicken curry still had so much flavour. Can't wait to go back.

Charged for Mac and cheese and 2 coleslaws which we did not order. Food was cold and dry will not be ordering again. I recommend that you save your money. Absolute waste of time and money

The Food here is not nice, the soup is basically water, OXO cube and meat, No flavour at all, not even salt was added. Waste of money. Would not recommend or repurchase.

I ordered for collection at 17:45 at just gone 17:00 I had a message to say my collection was ready. When I arrived at 17:45 I was asked do I want the food warmed up ? Well no I would have preferred it to have been fresh when I stayed I was going to collect. I opted to heat it at home but over all the food it self was not great but the flavours were good.

Amazing as usual but no dumplins in my soup! My favourite bit lucky there was loads of yam to make up for it being missing! Foods always on point!

Best Jamaican food we've had and used a few different places before. Very reasonably priced, good size portions and great delivery service. Will definitely order from Mama Cleos again :-)

We saw a video on Instagram by Bosfinesse reviewing Mama Close and since its just down the road decided to try a local West Indian place- best decision ever! The oxtail melts in your mouth, and the curry goat was gorgeous. Fried chicken is also top tier! This is our new favourite takeaway. Great price and they serve huge portions. Lovely service too, thankyou!

Order the rice and peas With oxtail and curry goat. And I must say It was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and the curry was wonderful as Curry melted into my mouth. This reminded me of my mum's cooking. Also, I would most definitely recommend fruit punch in a cup with ice in it. A great drink to have while eating food. The only problem is the parking as the streets are surrounded by double yellow lines but I wouldn't use that as an excuse to not go here. Also, the staff in Mama Celos were fantastic, very friendly, and great with the recommendations. I'll be back here soon.

Missing 4+ items. Called was told payment would be refunded for missing items. Sorry missing items ruined the meal. As I was told missing items had run out, only to see them online 😢. I will be looking out for my refund.

I always loved and enjoyed my red peas soup but today’s order was not good. Soup packed out with yam, no meat and because there was so much food in the soup it makes it look as if there was enough soup in the cup. The presentation for me tonight was poor.

Took over 1 hour and 25 minutes for the food to be delivered even though I live 15 min from restaurant. Phoned restaurant and driver, driver was rude and dismissive. Food arrived COLD and WRONG order. Will NEVER order from here again

if i could put zero stars i would! food was disgusting, ordered peas soup more like red peas oxo gravy soup! fritters were burnt stale old food, like it was cooked the day before this woman has lost her touch food ain’t hitting how it use to be when she was in the pub and still i never use to buy from her often then as i can cook!! won’t be buying from this place again period the staff she has are also rude customer services are terrible.

Issue with app saying im in Bristol when I live in Swindon not sure why but only realised when it was close to delivery. Time I've called the restaurant and let them know but there is no way to report this to just eat. The restaurant isn't the problem it's the app please can someone respond and resolve this issue.

The food is West Indian (Jamaican). I love to eat and, appreciate good quality and plenty of it, the quality here is of the finest at a price i want to pay and, the range is phenomenal. Try it, i think you will like it!

I stopped by while working in the area, I'm from Luton a place with quite a large Jamaican culture but this was the best curried goat I've ever had so tender and flavourful,the guy behind the counter was sound too

Only had festivals and dumpling which are obviously delicious but will order again to try the rest of the menu.

I ordered oxtail rice and peas and got brown stew chicken and it wasn't at all appealing at all and as for the carrot juice /pepper spray very disappointing.

The oxtail was delicious however I was served some raw rice grains which ruined my meal. I hope it’s just a one-off issue. Will I return? Not sure, maybe!

The food at mama Cleo’s is always outstanding. The only reason I only gave the food quality 4 stars because I ordered a large ackee’n’saltfish, there was too much rice and not enough ackee’n’ saltfish.

We got the oxtail, the plantain, the curry goat and fish fritter and ohmygaddddd!! Tried couple Jamaican places before and nothing like mama cleo kitchen. The food does the talking rather than the establishment. Prices are slightly less than you would expect and quality for a canteen style eatery was top notch! Food is fresh, cooked on the day, and flavors are on point. I'll remember this meal for the rest of my life. Thank u mama cleo!!

Next to no sauce on the meals. Very dry. Dumplings were dried out to the point no edible, food portion small for a large. Won’t discredit the food though as this isn’t your usual standard just wanted to feedback.

I asked for this order to be cancelled a si was not home and they still put it through I had clearly explained! And then the guy tries to tell me my friend accepted it happily, I asked for it to be cancelled they clearly put it through just to still take the money for this.
