Maly's Cafe in South Ayrshire

Ate here yesterday with partner and 10 year old daughter. I’m coeliac and they were very knowledgeable. I had fried eggs, chips and beans. My partner had the all day breakfast (only gripe was it wasn’t flat sausage). Daughter had chicken nuggets and chips off the children’s menu. Would definitely recommend. Very clean and spacious. Will hopefully get back again during our stay.

Sausage bacon and fried eggs, cooked to perfection and top quality. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in Girvan.

Another great Maly's breakfast. Waitress offered to put two teabags in the pot because I like it strong. They provided an off-menu veggie breakfast for my daughter.

Popped in for lunch with two babies and prams and the staff were so accommodating, friendly and kind. They interacted well with the babies and made us feel so welcome and comfortable, checking we were okay regularly and offering assistance. The food was really delicious and very filling, the menu was extensive and although we didn't get to sample them the cakes looked amazing. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit if passing this way again.

I consulted Trip Adviser in the search for something to eat in Girvan - and wow, Maly's didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and the team very friendly! Highly recommend

Four of us in today for various cooked breakfasts and hot drinks with our dog. Food and dinks both superb quality and reasonable prices. Toilets spotless. Dog welcomed and staff although busy were attentive and friendly. Everything served very quickly and piping hot. Faultless. We'll be back again.

Great we spot for a meal homemade and good price wold recommend the steak pie well cooked and very well presented. Staff very good and service great well worth the money

Had the steak pie, sadly not great gravy with 3 tiny pieces of meat, dry mashed potatoes and hard peas, mum had chicken with dry mash and peas, no gravy, none offered either, one poor staff member trying to take orders and clean tables, food certainly not worth what I paid for it, big disappointment.

Was left more humbled than words could speak.I phoned the cafe, from Italy, After trying nearly every place in Girvan for an "exceptional" delivery request for a lady who had spent all day on her partner's bedside at a carehome, I just wished for a bit of cake an a cuppa to be delivered to her, I nearly gave up as I couldn't find anyone who would do so at short notice. Although Maly's Cafe doesn't normally do deliveries, the every so kind lady offered to help as an exception understanding the situation. I was so touched by the kindness and so grateful. It's these little things that make the world a better place. Thank you so very much.

Called in here for breakfast recently en route to the ferry. Ordered eggs, bacon and sausage. Expensive and poor quality - and freezing cold place, I may add.

Staff are friendly and the prices reasonable. Food is average at best. Don't bother ordering a milkshake as you'll be given a glass of milk with a spoon of chocolate powder. Take note that the cafe is cash only.

Called into Maly's for a coffee this morning by chance, and was delighted with the service, the produce, the prices and cleanliness of the place. The staff were friendly, the coffee was great, the scones fresh and warmed, and the butter was not frozen solid. I thoroughly recommend it!

Popped into Maly’s for a bite a coup,e of weeks ago and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, tasty and very fresh. It was very good value for money and the staff were so friendly and chatty. Will definitely return.

First visited Malys two years ago and delighted good food and service and dog friendly. Not now though! Very disappointing. Our wee pouch had to sit on a cold car. As time was getting on we stayed. Food was okay and reasonably priced.

Stumbled cross this cafe when exploring Girvan on a weekend break. Very welcoming staff greeted us, menu choice was massive, nice atmosphere and tasty food. We are coffee snobs and enjoyed the coffee here so thumbs up! Thoroughly recommended.

Had a takeaway breakfast from here that had 4 of everything and was more than sufficient to feed the family. Good quality and well cooked. Would highly recommend this cafe if in Girvan, both sit in or takeaway.

We had substantialy fresh filled paninis,excellent tea and coffee at a very reasonable cost. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond to our needs.

From the outside the cafe doesn’t look to welcoming, but walk through the door and find friendly staff and good proper food. Breakfasts were cooked to perfection and served together unlike some other cafes in the area. Reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Myself and friends were passing through Monday (29 July) for a snack and coffee not the greatest of welcome by the staff girl had glasses was not very welcoming she seemed to be rude and bossy to the staff also the younger blonde girl doesn't know how to smile when serving either Decided to have a toasted scones tasted dry (old) cutlery arrived after the scones but would of preferred a gluten option coffee for the price was rather small.Toilet was not the cleanest which is a shame as I was looking forward to eating here as read the reviews. Not rushing back

Lovely layout and feel inside the cafe, however, when I enquired about gluten free cakes (as they suggest gluten free options on here) I was told I could have something that I could see wasn't gf, I politely explained it wasn't gf as it was in pastry and with everything else.

Waren zum lunch in Maly's, da wir morgen auf die Fähre nach Belfast gehen. Gibt mega grosse Burgers dort für £ 9.50. Die Burgers sind auch gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich und schnell. Auch alles sauber. Würde wieder dort essen.

My wife and I where out and about on a long weekend trip in the motorhome, we found this place and it was my wife who smelt something good as we walked down the street...plus when we got to the cafe, it was 3/4 full with locals (we thought so). So in we popped and the special looked great and we both ordered it.. it came a what a nice plate full, well we ate had a lovely coffee. Rested and fed I saw the TripAdvisor logo and we both agreed to let others know what we thought of the place, it was super ni rush or nothing too much for them to help you...thanks again Maly's Cafe....oh out meal was crispy chilli chicken, with rice and chips...haa has I managed to stop and take a picture hee hee

We stopped at Malys on the way to a wedding in Edinburgh travelling from cairnryan and on the way home again because it was so good, they were very friendly, it was great food with a good choice of menu, we would highly recommend it

The cafe has a warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff are more than welcome to accommodate our needs. Needing a high chair, they provided us with one.

My husband and I popped in today for lunch having read some good reviews and we were not disappointed. We visited at peak lunch time so had to wait a little bit for our food, but that was to be expected. Hubs had omelette and chips and I had soup and a toastie. Both dishes were good and came with fresh salad. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was bustling.

My partner and I went to Maly's for lunch last Saturday (17th November). There's a comprehensive menu of breakfast/lunch food. He had egg and chips and a cappuccino. I had a baked potato with cheese and coleslaw and a hot chocolate. Both were generous portions and were delicious. The staff are very friendly and the service was really quick even though it was very busy. We'll definitely be going back.

Had a fantastic full breakfast earlier today and my friend had a roll and sausage (2 square sausage on the roll without asking). The quality of the food was excellent. It was cooked quickly to order and the staff were very friendly. The cafe is also spotlessly clean. A wee gem.

Popped in here recently for a bowl of soup for lunch and would defo return if in Girvan again. Busy but clean cafe and home made lentil soup delicious and served with a bread roll and butter. Only £2-50 very good value. Had a look at their menu which was extensive something for everyone. Really good prices and going by the soup and how busy they were the food is good too.

Decided this morning to take a wee run down the coast to Girvan. we decide to try something different from our usual Fish and chips and visited Maly's Cafe. this is a small and very busy place, as diners left their table other were sitting down before it could be properly cleared. The menu is varied and even has a 'Pensioners Special' section. We did not have to wait long, even it being so busy. It was obvious that the local people use it a lot, everyone knew everyone else by name. This is a place where we shall certainly visit again.

Loved it. Perfect for afternoon tea with cappuccino. I was there on a rainy afternoon with a seat by the window and it was a refuge. Families were happily having late lunch. Good spacious seating, good cappuccino.

Ordered the egg roll and a coffee every day I was working in Girvan. Pretty good food, decent service, quite affordable especially for pensioners.

We have visited this cafe over the past year and have never been disappointed yet. Food is great quality and cooked to perfection. Staff are very pleasant and polite. Their all day breakfast is amazing, definitely the best in Girvan. Only downside is the table next to the toilets. This is hardly the place for a table to be placed. We will continue to use Malys on a regular basis just as long as they keep their standards the same as what they are now. Highly recommended.

Small quaint restaurant. Stoped by for lunch and had a cheese omelet, the wife, a Panini. This was our first meal in Scotland as we arrived the night before. Prices were reasonable. Food was good

Took a trip to Girvan to see the sites on probably the wettest day of the week. Looked round of a cafe and spotted this lovely little venue. We have a cafe back home so can be a little critical but not about this place. Friendly staff, a hot pot of tea and a coffee and two big breakfasts all served to perfection! Thank you :)

This cafe was very busy when I visited it today, but the young smartly dressed waitress took my order within 2 minutes. My tea arrived 2 minutes later and my all day breakfast 4 minutes after. Very quick service and the place was busy.The breakfast was presented with attention to detail and not a drop of grease on the immaculate white plate. Every item was cooked to perfection and I simply could not find fault with anything. This is quite an accolade coming from a quality control auditor of 30 years standing. The cafe was very clean and the decor very pleasing, the same can be said for the toilets.Polite and friendly young waitresses . An extensive menu, which I would like to explore. Next time I am back in Girvan, I will be back and if it is open in the evening, I would go for a meal. This is not a greasy spoon but a traditional well run cafe. Well done girls!

This had been recommended to us, and we were not let down. A good cafe menu, plenty of choices, well cooked food. If you want smaller portions there are pensioner and kids meals but if you've a good appetite then the standard portions will fill you!!

Large menu from snacks to steaks !! Everything homemade, soups are always good, as is Mac Cheese, Fish and Chips great burgers, all day breakfasts, kids and pensioners menu's . Eveything is brilliant.

I couldn't really tell you what my meal consisted of, as I was preoccupied on the owners son who walked in with his football tracksuit on who caught the corner of my eye.
