Maloneys in Newtownabbey

Called in on way home from Xmas shopping. Very pleasant surprise. Excellent food , parfait was marvellous, chicken supreme had hidden taste delights . Service was very good & the atmosphere was also nice. All in all a lovely surprise on a day out .

Popped in here with the family. Seen good reviews on Facebook and decided to give it a go. Wasn’t disappointed. Great food and service. My steak was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Went for lunch. High chair was brought. It was filthy. Washed it down with baby wipes. Our table was the same. Glasses and water jug dirty. Condiments filthy. Plates dirty. Everything felt greasy and sticky. Has a hygiene rating of 4. What a joke. Waitress had zero personality. Took baby to toilet to change nappy. Toilet dirty. Wipe your feet on the way out.

This little place is definitely worth a visit. Dropped in for lunch and was very warmly received and served by very friendly staff. Put order in for chicken Maryland and garlic chips. When eventually it came it was one of the best presented and tastiest Chicken Maryland I have ever tasted. Gr8 vfm

Llamado en las 2 de la tarde para encontrar un ambiente relajado esperan. Menús especiales trajeron enseguida y me explicó.La comida llegó caliente y recién hecha. Champiñones con ajo para morirse. . . . . crujientes por fuera con una exuberante abundante ajo. Se sirve con mayonesa de ajo y una guarnición de ensalada. . . .Por supuesto delicioso. principal siguiente. . . . Asado del día..Dos losas de sublimemente lento carne asada preparada que se derretía en la boca. . Verduras Frescas. cocidos, puré con manteca y patatas asadas. Tanto la salsa como querías estaba disponible.Esta fue una visita no planeada, pero sin duda volveremos para más de lo mismo.

Excellent ! We had a great time here we most defiantly will be back! Many great options and this is one of them!

Some of the orders came and had to be sent back, the salad was swimming in oil and as a result had to be exchanged for something else, the juice for the table was basically water, and they forgot to put garlic butter on the saute potatoes. Probs won't be back.... ever !

2ª visita aquí como en manera de Ballyclare práctico. La comida es excelente, pero por desgracia, eso es todo lo que puedo decir. Hacía frío y los inodoros estaban algo grave. Que no han sido actualizadas en 20 - 30 años por el aspecto de los lavabos en las mujeres, una de ellas tenía una enorme grieta al otro lado de la cuenca. Estaban heladas las toallas de papel no funcionaba y podría haber sido mucho más limpio! ! Sólo había 2 personal y tuvieron que sirven bebidas, comida y parecía que cuando nos dieron nuestra orden de comida fue una de las chicas que hacen, está como no aparecen hasta que se sirve la comida. No pudimos conseguir una ronda de bebida, ya que ambas estaban allí para servirnos, un cliente en el bar fui y conseguí uno de ellos después de una espera de aproximadamente 4 - 5 minutos. ! Los propietarios necesitan tomar nota de comentarios y abrir sus ojos si quieren tener un restaurante. De nuevo he de decir que la comida era excelente! !

Esta sería mi segunda revisión de este bar y la única razón por la que estuviera allí es porque me invitó a una fiesta privada.Sinceramente, no creo que haya nada más descuidado, pero tiene. En aseos de señoras en las luces de la habitación no funcionaba, así que la función de los inodoros conectados a la sala tenía que ser utilizada. Lavabos en mujeres pegadas con cinta, aseos maloliente y sucio. No había suficiente personal en sala de eventos para cubrir multitud en elpeor Bar de fiesta en Newtownabbey

This would be my local now...great staff great clientele and food to die for....try the steak night....great stuff 2x10oz steaks tobacco onions choice of sides and sauces..

I have been to maloneys quite a few time for meals engagements christening and every time food has been great the chef is very good at what he does and cheep as chips

Hemos estado aquí hace poco después de muchos años y puedo decir honestamente que en mi opinión es el más sucio bar en Newtownabbey. Personal bastante buena, pero salón, aseos necesita una renovación. Me atrevo a pensar lo que debe de ser la cocina. Lleno de niños de los fines bajo así que si su 16 años este es el lugar para ir.

Visited mid January with friends. We would be here roughly every 5 - 6 weeks.WHY......the atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly BUT...the food is absolutely out of this world. Stephen, the chef presents each dish in a wonderful manner. Portions are large and great value for money.

Great spot that provides a quality atmosphere both in the restaurant and the bar. Has a regular spot for food with family, football and beers with friends! Top quality service and staff

recently visited Maloneys with my wife due to on going refurbishment of kitchen at home. excellent value, large portions and friendly staff, would go back, starters, mains and drinks all for under £30.

had an 80th birthday party here but we had a meal first just to see what it was like. mmm really nice, couldn't finish it there was so much. staff were friendly and attentive. party we had was great with food supplied by there kitchen, again so much food and it was lovely. had our own private room and bar staff. when you walk in it doesn't look like much but the room for meals and functions is great. well pleased

I go here often with my husband, food is warm and plenty of it, waitress is lovely and for a decent pub meal it's good. They do a early bird with main course and added dessert for less than a tenner. I like their gougons and chips taste homemade, they also do parties/christening and the restaurant is a good size for these. Bar beside it that shows football etc.

I ate here with friends on a Saturday afternoon. There weren't a lot of people there which tbh suited us cause there where plenty of us there. The staff where extremely helpful and would of done anything for us. The food was 100 percent it one of the best meals I've had out in a long time and very well presented, And it was for a very reasonable price. We went into the sports bar after and the craic was 90! Everyone who was there very funny and friendly. I will deffo be back!

Went for a meal on easter sunday it took ages the staff was pleasant it took ages for the meal to be served defenalty woudnt go back id be quicker cooking something in my own house

Good food with good mates. Staff always nice and football always on the TV. Best bar about. Peppered chips are the ticket.

Had a meal in here in November, definitely not impressed with the the time it took to serve our meals. It took over 40 mins to serve our starters & just over an hour before our main meal eventually arrived. We had asked if it be possible if they could hurry it up as my partner was a tutor & he had to get back for his students, felt as if they delayed it on purpose. and there was only 3 tables were having meals with a lot of tables empty. Would not like to see it when it's full & this was only in the bar, only 1 table in the restaurant. Gone down hill dramatically recently

Visited here 11/12/14. Was a bit dubious considering the previous reviews but my wife had booked the table so we went anyway. In fairness we were the only people in the restaurant but there were about ten people eating in the bar as well. Service was quick and the waitress was friendly and helpful (it was freezing and she turned the heating up full). Food arrived promptly and all four of us enjoyed our meals - good pub grub rather than fine dining. Excellent value - "beat the clock offer" means you pay the time you order so, if you order at 6 o'clock you pay £6. We paid £36 for four main courses, four soft drinks and four teas. There is no doubt that it is a bit tired and could do with a refurb but we would definitely go again.

Previously had 3 course Sunday lunch here which was fabulous but today very poor. Great starter but main course of chicken lukewarm, dry and tasteless, dessert banoffee had a thin smear of toffee on top of deep base also tasteless. Could not recommend, very very disappointed.

Went here for my dad's birthday, as a group of 4.Didn't really like the menu, the one thing I wanted off it, they didn't have. They did however make me up something else which wasn't on the menu, which I appreciated.All in all, as it's not particularly local to me, I wouldn't bother making a trip to go back.
