We stayed here in January for a 2 night break and we arrived with high expectations based on a previous visit to the bar for a meal a few years back and we were not disappointed. It is in a great location with reduced price parking nearby in the Victoria Square shopping centre. The rooms were very comfortable excellent beds the staff are very friendly and helpful with directions and local advice. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was equally as good both nights in the bar band we are already planning our next return visit. Would recommend a trip to the Titanic museum and the black taxi tour and had excellent pints in Bittles bar and also Kelly's cellar. Eamonn Elliot and his team are running an excellent hotel in Belfast.

Didn't stay, however I visited here on 02/02/2025 in the afternoon to celebrate a good friend's birthday, the service was great, very attentive and food was delicious. Special mention to the female server with ginger hair, sorry I did not get your name. But looked after us during our visit! Great work

Spent our 25th wedding anniversary in Belfast and booked the Goliath suite in Malmaison and genuinely regretted it. We had a wonderful night out in the town though so it wasn't a disaster. The room was big as you would expect but a bit tatty. Ran a bath and the shower attachment leaked all over the floor, the sink plugs didn't work so couldn't drain one of them, the electric blinds didn't all work, couldn't for the life of me figure out the bose speaker system (that could be me though), no wine glasses in the room, the attached side room which had a vintage arcade game in it was class but we couldn't close the door and had to jam an armchair against it to close it. Also, when we went to check in we were a bit early but the concierge said they would get the room checked and let us know but they forgot and we were left waiting in the bar without bar staff, we knew we'd been forgotten. A little frustrating. Overall I would say it was ok but for the price of the room which was over £200 it was just one of those wish we had have booked somewhere else dealios.

Out for daughters P7 transfer test results, wanted to treat her to a mocktail, first tried another close by prominent hotel that took lifetime to even notice us then said they wouldn’t let us have a drink. When we walked into Malmaison staff welcomed us & served my daughter a gorgeous custom made mocktail! Everyone was lovely, helpful & friendly, swift to clear empties & attentive to ensure we had drinks! Thank you for making her night extra special ❤️

Mixed experience if I am honest. Some good and some bad. Let’s start with the good; room is nice, comfy and warm and nicely presented for a 4 star hotel I am pleased with this. Although, I am disappointed to see that Malmaison seem to be cost cutting by not having a body cream/lotion in the rooms any longer. Breakfast is super, good choice, variety with good quality food. Well worth the value for money if you book in advance and save 15%. Update- eggs were perfect this morning, thank you. Suggestion- Maybe small ramekins for the jam would be good. Staff are very friendly in this hotel, and even called me by my name. This is good! Now the not so good; the fitness suite is a joke and at best an after thought. It is a tiny room with a treadmill, XTrainer, selection of dumbbells up to 10kg and a fit-ball. TV didn’t work either and the screen froze and then displayed the no signal message. Most embarrassing for a hotel chain that is above the average price range and with a strong reputation. Annoying that on all 3 days the breakfast crew didn’t even have our breakfast added to our room and on all three days we were questioned before sitting down. On day 2 I ordered soft boiled eggs and soldiers, dissatisfied that the eggs arrived hard boiled, team you have to be better here! Vending machine in reception completely empty of chocolate options which is frustrating for a self confessed chocoholic. Finally, whilst the tiger prawns is the bar are AMAZING, £13 for 2 is extortionate. Some improvements needed for me to look first at Malmaison in the future.

Very well appointed hotel in an ideal location. Right on the waterside and a very short walk into the cathedral quarter and all the bars and restaurants. Hotel and rooms are very well decorated and clean. Only issue with the room was the temperature. It was roasting! One small knob on the wall to turn down the temperature, but no indication of any air conditioning. Windows open but due to the location it was really noisy. Breakfast continental selection was quite slim, but nice. Hot food menu was good quality too.

Excellent hotel right in the centre of Belfast and only 5 minutes from the train station. A beautiful old building from the outside but modern on the inside. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again on my next visit to Belfast which by the way is a beautiful city.

You'll either like the style or loath it. Didn't particularly appeal to me . Rooms dark and felt cramped, although bed very comfortable. Messed up breakfast orders meant 45 min wait. Great location though. Minutes walk from central Belfast. Reception staff lovely.

A great location and lovely staff but the rooms are very dark! The windows are small and the furniture is black, and I appreciate how trendy that is, but I couldn't see much, and nothing at all inside the wardrobe. We had the attic suite which was enormous with a lounge we never got round to using, but the only natural light was from small Velux windows high up with remote controlled blinds. We didn't discover the remote until the morning we left and not all the shades opened... Also, guys, that bathroom door to the ensuite doesn't muffle sound very well, and hearing your partner on the john is not exactly romantic...

Stayed here at the start of the year and found it to be underwhelming. It is very close to a shopping centre where the hotel has an arrangement regarding parking, as the hotel does not have parking available. We were informed 3 weeks before our stay that it would be £15, but surprised at the price increase when it was time to pay. The rooms were okay, very stuffy even in January. You can't open the windows (not even slightly, which is understandable) however, they didn't have AC. The walls were thin and you can hear guests upstairs and next door. They didn't have great access to plugs by the bedside table, there was a direct usb plug which was out of commission during our stay (and wouldn't trust those anyway). We paid for breakfast, did enjoy their continental but found the cooked-to-order disappointing. It tasted and smelt of cigarette smoke which was quite off-putting and they had issues with their coffee machine so there was a queue of guests waiting to get a cuppa. The room was spacious, we liked that it had a mini fridge, and robes. Having a Nespresso machine in the room was nice, would have appreciated a variety with the pods but was alright, wouldn't be rushing to stay at this particular establishment.

So you totally need to get yourself down to the recently refurbished Malmaison Belfast. My husband and I attended last night for the unveiling and we were blown away. The food that was served and the staff who served it were first class .. 5 stars are easily justified here.. I have to give a special nod to our Hemmy the master chef and our Eamonnn and his team.. all absolute legends .. I love the place even more now.. Get yourself down for a nosey and some delicious food and drinks. Can’t wait to back and am delighted to have been invited to celebrate this fantastic hospitality outlet right in the centre of Belfast.

Ok hotel, not expensive, good location, comfortable. Room suffered from road noise and squeaky floorboards in the room above. Also there was a horribly dirty extractor vent right over the shower head which was full of mould and really needed cleaning. It's a small thing, but if you're running a hotel it's something you've got to get right. Not amazing, sadly.
