Malik's Express Kitchen in South Bucks

This used to be my go to Indian takeaway. I revisited recently to find the food was pretty awful.The Chicken Jalfrezi was absolutely swimming in oil, as was the dhall and sag.I'm not sure if it has changed owners or if the chef has changed. Either way, it may be worth mentioning when you order to keep the oil to a minimum.

I was looking forward to this as it has been a while since we had a takeaway. Normally we get out takeaways from Maliks the restaurant around the corner. Never again, SO SO SO SALTY!!!Greasy and no where near as good as the restaurant quality. It’s a scam and the most expensive takeaway, I think they charge because of the area we are in, such a shame, we always support local but not this one. TOTALY OVERPRICED, BELOW AVERAGE, MEDIOCRE FOOD, GREASY AND SUPER SALTY

Great takeaway, ordered a few times and have never been disappointed. It beats your standard takeaway Indian.

Loved the food, plenty of vegetarian choice. Disappointed by the plastic containers which aren't re-usable. Would be great if they could offer sustainable packaging.

Ordered a takeaway meal consisting of vegan dishes - by mistake I ordered a non-vegan side. Restaurant rang me back to tell me, and ask if I wanted to swap it for something else. Great service and sympathetic to vegan diets.Food was excellent - tasted very fresh, exotic and quite different from the ‘usual’ takeaway curry. Delivered piping hot and all in order. Overall a great experience.

It does rather baffle and irritate me when I read poor reviews of places and businesses that I personally know to be good, even in some cases outstanding. But as we all know; it takes all sorts. Quite obviously we all have different experiences from time-to-time but having used Malik's Express Kitchen since it opened I find it hard to believe it could ever warrant a 1 or 2 star review. I am as demanding and exacting a customer as the next but to give a place 1 star because they asked you to wait on hold for a minute because you were calling at a busy time seems harsh at best. Malik's food is delicious and as promptly prepared as I want my food to be when I am ordering good (freshly prepared and cooked) takeaway. Malik's isn't the MacDonald's of indian food and thank goodness for that. In short, polite, friendly people delivering high quality Indian food. Highly recommended.

This used to be quite special: fresh and tasty takeaway food. Unfortunately it has become a victim of its own success since Covid. They are so busy that they are overwhelmed it seems. So, today we waited in our car for 30 minutes over and above the 45 mins pickup time. One dish we had ordered was not in fact available (despite checking on the phone that they did it) and when we got home with the order, one main course was missing entirely (but paid for). We won’t be going back, obviously.

This is my wife and my favourite Indian takeaway. The food is fresh and tasty and the meat is of good quality. I’d like to see a few new dishes or specials and the introduction of tandoori lamb chops. Other than this suggestion, I think they do a great job.

The phone rings for ages only to be told “Maliks please hold” when they pick up. Then after another lengthy wait they want 45 minutes to prepare a takeaway. For food that is average at best, I won’t be using them again.

Not a term that you’d normally associate with a ‘takeaway’ restaurant but Maliks Express GX breaks the mould in that respect.The food is lovely, the service is second to none and the decor is spotless.Also... I’d give this 6 stars tonight if I could. I popped in to get just a naan bread for my son (one of those strange requests that dad’s will be used to) and not only did the chap behind the counter treat me just the same as someone who was ordering a banquet but he kindly gave it as a complimentary present!! It’s this type of thing that separates out the truly service orientated establishments from those just putting on a veneer!

Food was under seasoned, not much spice, left me feeling very bored, I can only imagine it's a bit like going to an OAP home for people expecting Indian food. Put some oomf from chilles and use the spices, right now I could go and pay half and have a way superior meal in Slough half the price

1st day of The Ryder Cup which my husband loves, so we did not feel like cooking and fancied a curry. Always been huge fans of Maliks so it seemed the perfect choice. Staff very helpful and full of advice, collection time 25 mins with 10% discount, so all good. However food very disappointing, Chicken very dry and far too much sauce on my curry. Poppadoms good, however chutney selection very tiny portions.... Still OK value @ £41.00 ish but not great and nowhere near as good as we have had before. Mmmmmmmmmmm

Maliks has been great for my family we all love the food. The people there are also very kind and helpful, a few of the dishes I would really recommend are, chicken tikka masala, garlic non and the rice is good. Over all a very nice restaurant and is much recommended for a fancy dinner out on Friday night.

Not sure why I use the word classy but that's the impression you get in the waiting area. Counter service friendly. We ordered Friday night and they clearly were busy - 50 minute wait for pickup and over an hour for delivery. It was longer than that and still had to wait in that very nice waiting room.Food was excellent. Murgh Tikka Massala creamy rich and not too sweet, the Tarka Dall outstanding. Onion Bhajee fresh and large with crispy outside and moist inside. The Chicken Tikka was a little disappointing, it lacked enough spices so was a little bland but the Dall went with it excellently. The Naan I had was plan the wrong one ordered and needed a little more cooking to my taste, a little doughy. I would appeal to Maliks not to use the plastic containers and lids. I do not think they were bio digradable so an inssue also you need a pointed sharp knife to take the sealed plastic lid off. Also a TV would be a benefit in the nice waiting area, the week old news paper was not a way to pass time for a busy take away where serving times are elongated. .

One of nicest takeaways we've been to. Great waiting area. Friendly staff. Directed us to a pub to wait. Food excellent - duck biryani especially good. Peshwari Naan nice.

Decidí pagar una visita a la cocina express Malik, sin realizar un pedido por teléfono. Me levantase a través del menú y luego preguntaron los caballeros en el mostrador para ayudar con comida, elegir mi porque no estoy muy familiarizado con esta cocina. Él sugirió korai pollo y yo opté por especial de arroz. Fue perfecto! ! Gran gusto, muy adecuado como cena, y tuve que esperar menos de 5 minutos antes de que estaba listo para llevar. Sin duda recomiendo este lugar y volveremos pronto. Gracias por la gran experiencia!

Cocina express Malik es nuestra indulgencia semanales. Hemos venido aquí para varios años y nunca he sido decepcionado. La comida es realmente excelente, el servicio es cálido, amable y muy agradable y lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que desee tener una cocina de alta calidad y excelente experiencia culinaria. Estar en Chalfont St Peter, mis amigos y yo solemos usar uno de los restaurantes indios en nuestro pueblo para comida para llevar, pero decidimos hacer un cambio y probar cocina Maliks Express en GX.

A very good menu, good quality food, never left waiting with staff that are polite, charming and professional.

Visité por primera vez recientemente y me quedé muy sorprendido por la alta calidad de la comida. Menú variado con algunos platos no a menudo en su llevar media. El Murgh Jalfrraizi era de un tamaño considerable y el pollo húmedas. Todos los platos de verduras eran de primera calidad. A pesar de no ser el llevar Indian más cercano, ahora es nuestra primera opción. Además, los platos están selladas por el calor en recipientes que evite totalmente cualquier salpicaduras y mantener la comida caliente.

En primer lugar, la comida es muy buena. Es un menú variado con una auténtica comida interesante. El único problema es que algunas veces puede tomar una hora de situar la orden a recoger. Pero este plan y no te decepcionará

Tried a take out from here and was pleasantly surprised at both the quality and value. Especially with a 10% discount if you collect. Will be back.

Myself and my Wife are exceptionally pleased to have found Butter Chicken that has been missing for years from restaurants in the area. In fact the Prince of India was the last restaurant to do justice to this dish and was well known for it. They obviously lost the recipe and went into demise - Malik's now has it!! It is on their menu as butter chicken but it truly is very Special! I had a dansak and it was gorgeous too!!! I really cannot fault the freshness and flavours from the dishes we had last night. Really Happy!! Also excellent service and spot on timing wise, although for quality I will wait but I didn't have too! Really happy to have this excellent takeaway on our doorstep! Malik's restaurant is good too but the service hasn't been superb however this will be revisited in light of this gorgeous food last night! Thank you to the staff!!

I love maliks Express kitchen. the food was very good,Im always order tandori dessa. my Chicken Tikka cooked a really spicy and a perfect keema Nan.

The food here is really top notch, no complaints on that front. Only issue was the very long wait! Admittedly it was peak time on a Saturday evening, but having driven in to collect (as I was told delivery would be more than hour), I was then made to wait half an hour on arrival (meaning it would have been quicker to have it delivered). Phone was going non-stop, many calls from people asking where the hell their food was (!). Feels like they've bitten off more than they can chew here!

As a fairly regular customer who would usually recommend Malik's and Malik's Express, I was very disappointed when I received my curry this evening. The butter chicken is ridiculously oily (compared to other times of trying the dish) which caused it to look foul as it had separated itself. The rice was under cooked and packed poorly, with a hole in said packaging meaning that by the time my meal was home (a 5 minute drive) it was cold. Disappointed, and will not be hurrying back soon.

I love this curry establishment,it's the best curry in the whole of Buckinghamshire,the prices are reasonable,the menu is extensive&the staff will give advice on what dishes there are and are super friendly,we keep coming here as the standard is always high!Give it a try

Ordered a take away from Malik's Express Kitchen having heard good things about the restaurant and having walked past the express kitchen in Gerrards Cross. The prices are expensive but thought we would take a punt on it and thought from the reviews that it was likely to be worth the significant extra cost versus other takeaways. We ordered 2 starters, 3 main dishes, 2 veg dishes, one rice and some poppadoms which, plus delivery, came to just over £50 - (our normal local would have cost about £35). The dishes are packed in very unappealing white plastic containers with sealed plastic over the top which you need a knife to open. However, regardless of that, I was instantly unpleasantly surprised at the quantities of the main I had ordered (a shashlik) which looked more like a starter - about 7 small pieces of unappealing looking duck. It tasted OK but nothing spectacular. The pancake kebab I had ordered as a starter was basically inedible as was saturated in grease.I have to say my other half's main was better - he had lamb on the bone which was much better presented and tasted very good. The okra we had ordered was also very greasy which was a pity. The potato side dish was OK but again, not better than what we would have expected from our local. Have to say, am really quite annoyed - paying £50 for something that was overall disappointing and nowhere near we good as our local is frustrating - would definitely not use again.

We look forward to a Malik's once a week. Haven eat in the restaurant many times, a young puppy has changed our ability to venture out and Malik's express kitchen delivers every time! Fantastic flavour some food. The green chicken curry is marvellous!

We always pick up so I can't comment on delivery service.Good food, hot and collection timely. Enjoyed everything and every time. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend.

After using ,'Maliks' Restaurant in Oak end way for 7 years,I decided to give the newly opened express kitchen a try& ordered my usual ,Chicken Jalfrezi,which was first class, the taste of the Chicken is fresh, flavourful and above all, mouth watering leaving you wanting more. Without doubt, well worth the time to seek them out and enjoy one of the old Bangladeshi traditions, Excellent food.The portions are large, so don't eat before meandering to their small but delightful shop.The staff are also extremely welcoming.. Great food, great staff and great venture.Visited January 2014

We have been regular customers to Malik's restaurant for years and while it's not the cheapest Indian in the area the food has always been very good. At times the service in the restaurant is slow and manic (likely due to the tiny kitchen) but we have always forgiven this. We were very excited about Malik's Express Kitchen as often we would have loved to enjoy Malik's at home. Unfortunately, if you are offering a delivery service you must ensure your staff can take down the address correctly and also provides you with an accurate delivery time. We were told 30 minutes for deliver however we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our delivery!Our food when it finally arrived was lovely and very tasty. We will give Malik's delivery another chance because we have been loyal customers for quite some time.
