A truly wonderful experience. Quick service at the door promptly seated as had made a reservation. Ordered some mocktails which were quickly whipped up and tasted absolutely delicious… beware they are very moreish. The sides were also fantastic and my steak was cooked to perfection., with a generous sized portion. The decor was nice and restaurant was clean and hygienic. Prices were very reasonable under the current economic climate.

Great service as usual, amazing burgers and steaks! My favourite is their special fries which has brisket beef topping and sauces

There was 12 of us that went in; kids and adults. The ambience was great and was empty but we had reserved our table as a little later, its got very busy. We settle down on to the long table for all our family and decided what to order. We had the sticky wings, Mak fries (specialty), Mexican hitman burgers, BBQ Everest burgers and a hot dog as well as the kids meals and chicken grilled. The Hitman burger was amazing, as were the other ones as I was told. The chips that came with the burgers were tasty to. The wings were very nice especially the BBQ one but the Mak Fries was what got me, tasted amazing. All my family loved this place even though a couple of them were against it and then were converted, they loved it. Next time I am here; I'm ordering the STEAK!

Had the sirloin steak with rustic fries, Mushroom sauce, all went down well. Friends had the burgers & enjoyed their food too. Just a shame that the only beef steak they do os sirloin. Also no mac & cheese on the menu, a little limited on options.

Came here with my family it was so poor. The waitress was extremely rude. When the food arrived it looked good until we tasted it. The burgers were over cooked and tasteless, the chicken wings were dry covered with sauce to camouflage the actual taste of the food. Avoid avoid it looks from the exterior that’s about it.

Probably one of the best burgers I have had and it was so filling, they are a food portion size and the sides are just as good.

I have ordered food from this restaurant a couple of times and I'always loved it. Few days ago, I was passing by the restaurant and we decided to go there for dinner. The food was good as always, but I was very pleased to see that all staff members were wearing a mask and were asking customers to wear it as well while waiting for a table. The waitress was really nice and we had a lovely time there. I wish more restaurants valued customers' safety.

Finally visited this place despite it being very local to me. I ordered the peri peri chciken with mash potatoes and it was good and at approximate £8.00, good value. It was a shame that they got my chicken mixed up with one of my friend's order. I had ordered medium spice and my friend had ordered the mild spice (lemon and herb). My other friend ordered the empire burger (beef pattie with chicken rashers) with fries. The portion of fries was generous and I had a bit of the empire burger and it tasted good. My friend was extremely satisfied. Overall, good service and food was good. What more can one want ? Definitely worth a visit and I look forward to going back to have a burger and just to warn you there is a huge choice of burgers.

A tasty burger outlet. Popped in for the 1st time about 2 years ago (cannot select an earlier date stamp) and was not expecting much for whatever reason; but was more than surprised when I ordered the Classic with a Chicken rasher and was served up with a big, full-on messy but proud of it burger. It's just the way it should be and just how I like it. Care has been taken to select meat that actually tastes good too. It's clear the beef here is either a select tastier batch or has been dry-aged to develop the flavors. They caramelize their onions (woohoo) and will do it quite close to rare if you push them. Size as I mentioned already is satisfying and the price is excellent for what you get. The big downside are the chips and condiments; sauces are the cheap 'chicken stop' generic type and the Chips are poor; I just avoid them altogether and either order Wedgies or just upgrade my Burger. Otherwise; this is an excellent little hut tucked away on a busy inlet street amid the average restaurants on that road. It make it even better to stumble upon. Owner is a great guy too. Only gripes; the chips and 'sauces' again of course and the seating layout is a bit,, weird, but I guess that's the fussy part of me

After this makgrillz messaged me on Instagram to try there food I decided to make a visit, and was hugely disappointed, the food was dry,tasteless and cold, and it's to pricey in my opinion considering you have to buy fries separately, not worth the money at all, will not reccomend. Also I've seen many good reviews about this dreadful place on Instagram and I think it's all fake because this makgrillz place actually messages people with alot of following and offers a discount just so they can leave a good review....didn't work for me though, a discount means nothing if the food is trash.

The meat served here is dry aged at a very good price. I recommend having the burgers. The fries need improving however, when it is topped up with pulled meat (Mak Fries), it is OK.

Freshly cooked food, tastes delicious. Portion size is big and reasonable price. Service is good as well. I had burj al khalifa burger it was really nice. Overall good experience and will recommend.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, good food and plenty of it, reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a group of 8 of us who who a table to break out fast here. We’ve heard raving reviews so wanted to see what the hype was about and we were very excited! We’ve been fasting all day and getting ready for our visit when we receive a call 2 hours before iftar to behind out they’re cancelling our booking because they’re overbooked! They could’ve called us the day before so we could make prior arrangements. No apologies! No remorse! This was on a Friday and you can imagine no other restaurants could accommodate a last minute request to dine 8 people during a Ramadan period! Yes we ended up taking take away home!! I do not recommend and will never plan to go to such a place again.

I’ve been meaning to come here for a very long time and I regret the fact that I didn’t come sooner. Everything was spot on, the starters, burger and grilled were all extremely good. Service was excellent, clean restaurant and the owner is very friendly had a lovely chat. I would highly recommend and visit again for sure!!

i liked the vibe of this place, its got that americany dinner type of vibe to it. Fun and comfortable to be in. I ordered a cheese burger with the mak fries. The burger tasted good and was cooked well. The nachos did it for me here, they are made by themselves and had that super crisp bite it.Overall i liked this place, food and service is good.

Kept seeing this place in Instagram so decided to check it out. Hubby had the sirloin steak, asked for medium well done and it was cooked to medium. Also very fatty around the edges. I had the burger which was ok but just as good as any other halal burger place. We didn't have any issues with service but could see others did-food arriving late for one diner to the point of the other 3 almost being finished with the food. Wrong items sent out and some hygiene issue with a chip basket. Wouldn't go back in a hurry as the food wasn't outstanding and we aren't from the area

Burgers are just too good,Mak fries was amazing and milkshakes were thick and creamy. Love the decor and the iPads were unique

Came here with my partner and baby. I starved myself all day so I can order everything off the menu. I have never been here but have seen a lot of social media praising by different people so decided to have a look for ourselves. We both loved the decor, 50's american diner vibe with cool comic props dotted about the walls. We had a comfy booth and the food came swift and hot. Ordered the sticky bbq wings, deeeeelicious, then I had the Canary burger which was genuinely UNREAL. Best burger I have ever eaten. Fact. My partner ordered the cheeseburger and I also ordered the hotdog. All of which were amazing. The strawberry daquiris were delicious as well. Could not fault the staff or the food. I then decided to be brave an order a whole sundae for myself and it was an inspired decision. I had the salted caramel sundae, it was a party in my mouth and I ate all of it. Even though I am lactose intolerant it was the so so worth it. I have a stomach ache today but I have a smile on my face. Thank you Mak Grillz. 100% coming back to you guys soon.

Went to Mak Grillz on Sunday afternoon for an early dinner to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday.When I told the waitress that we were celebrating she said if we were able to show some proof then her meal would be on the house. Good job I had passport copies on my email!The service was quick and the food very fresh and tasty. I had the new brick lane burger and def recommend it. The milkshakes were large and mojito was a delight.We will definitely be returning to Mak Grillz.

It's a very good burger place. The chef knows how to cook meat, and I've been to quite a few burger places where more than often, the burgers were poor. This is a new restaurants by all accounts, so it's still trying to find its feet. Though the meats tasted great, I thought the onion sauce in the burger was too sweet, and the buffalo wings sauce was too wet and slightly bitter.My advice is get a card machine provider please (SumUp only charges 1.69% no monthly charge). Please add combo burgers (Beef patty plus a chicken patty) and family platter deals for under £35 (wings, chops, ribs etc).

Came here with hubby and little one. Hubby had the chicken steak hot which he really enjoyed. I ordered the eiffel tower burger and my son had chicken strips. We all enjoyed the meal very much. The chicken was cooked well done. Hubby said the flavour of the chicken steak was awesome! The service from staff was great. We ordered strawberry mojito and pina colada which were also very nice.We didn't book in advance and had to wait 20mins or so. If you plan to go then make a reservation.

Came here with my sister who found them on Instagram. Absolutely love the American Diner vibe going on in here. Very good food that were good prices. If I had a small gripe it would be that my burger wasn't warm enough when it came out. In comparison to Proper Burgers which is similar and only up the road I'd say Proper Burgers are bigger portion sizes for similar price range but the ambience is nicer for eating inside of Mak Grillz

First time. Not disappointed. Menu not huge, but was pleasantly surprised by the prices. Food was quick and tasty, a good few kids options which was great. Be careful where you sit, if you’re next to the door, you could be very cold.Service was very nice and friendly.Very good place to go.Will be going again soon

Came here with my family on a quiet Saturday afternoon, both myself and the Mrs had the e17 burger (mine had 2 patties) with mak fries and my son had the kids hog dog meal. The burgers were delicious, up there with 5 guys / shake shack level of deliciousness. My boy liked the hot dog so much he ordered another aswell. Surprisingly good quality establishment for an out of the way joint in walthamstow will defo be going again. Only small issue I have is that the iPads on the table which my son was buzzing with excitement to use did not have any games installed however I'm not a fan of him being distracted at mealtimes so not much of an issue at all

We found this place via instagram and thought we will try it out, The interior was lovely very rustic American dinner, super clean For mocktails we ordered strawberry mojito, strawberry Daiquiri and a Pina Colada They were yum, if you want something creamy try the Pina Colada, if you want something sweet then Daiquiri is for you, if you want something sour than strawberry mojito Loved all the mocktail Starter: we ordered buffalo wings, peri peri wings and 5 chili cheese balls I loved the buffalo wings and my friends loved the peri peri wings The cheese balls were lovely and creamy too but I couldn’t taste the jalapeño and I wasn’t too found of the crum coating I think if they used nacho coating would be better For Mains we ordered beef steak, chicken steak and the Canary Wharf burger I tried a little bit of the steak and it was really lovely however I didn’t like the mushroom sauce but my friend who ordered that dish loved the mushroom sauce The Chicken steak was also nice it was in a peri peri marinade, and I only tried a bit my friend who ordered it enjoyed it and said they would recommend it The Canary Wharf burger was what I ordered I really really enjoyed, the beef pattie was juicy and meat flavoured hmmmm, the pulled beef that was on top of the Pattie was coated in a spicy tangy sauce and worked really well there was a few crispy bits which I loved hmmmm and the brioche bun was soft and melt in your mouth Overall for the price and quality of the food I defo recommend it it’s a great place to eat out with friend and family The staff were friendly and our food came out quick You can also quote “bubblegumhijab” for money of your bill

Really good environment, and the spicy chicken is actually spicy (finally!). Leagues ahead of nandos. Staff are allay really flexible and good at adapting their menu the way you like, and it's also a tonne of food for a super low price 👌👌👌

food was baggin, canary wharf, taj mahal, mak fries, and the wings were something else. to finish off milkshakes and sundaes. just loved it.

Put a order through online, took upto 60 minutes to arrive and I live only a mile away. The food was not worth the wait, worst place I have ate from in a long time. The burgers we ordered were all dry and over cooked. Will not be ordering from here again, would not recommend this place to anyonee

Heard good things prior to visiting but was disappointed. Took an eternity to get menus and our food order. Once the food arrived the chips were undercooked. I ordered the Burj Khalifa burger - big burger but tasteless. On the plus side the decor of the restaurant was pretty.

Food was excellent and packed full of flavour. Mak grillz exceeded my expectations. I ordered a Taj mahal burger was very tasty. Will deffo be attending again!
