Major Curry Affair Burntwood in Lichfield

I ordered from here last Friday. My child's item was forgot off the order as they were very busy. I called to rectify. Tonight I called for another order and had the entire order free of charge as an apology. Delivered on time and perfectly fresh. Always use this curry house but i must say what wonderful customer service for a returning customer. Thanks so much and credit where credit is due. Following through with the promises made huge respect for that. Thanks guys

As always, another outstanding visit to this wonderful restaurant which fortunately is local to us. Visited here with 2 other couples, one of whom is very particular about where she eats and the service. Did not disappoint, 6 very happy customers after eating delicious food and receiving great service!

Food was lovely, great flavours.... tried a Bangladesh dish I've never had before and was very happy. The only downside was the service, had to ask to order food and was not very attentive during the evening. Also think it could of been more spicy.

We have been using Major every weekend for a number of years now and they always provide a beautiful curry. We went to order our usual yesterday evening and noticed a huge increase in prices, this is very disappointing as we loved it here but it is no longer value for money for us personally so we won’t be ordering again ☹️

Great food but our take out meal tonight - 2 mais, 1 naan, 1 side - was £23, but when it was delivered it was £35 I called as I thought we'd been overcharged but was told the prices went up this week Sorry but a 50% increase is not acceptable and we won't be using you again

This is one of our favourite places to eat. Came with friends for our Christmas night out. The food was great as always. However we all noticed that the service was not as friendly as usual. The table was being cleared of plates whilst I was still actually eating my food. It wasn't late and noone had the table after us so it made us feel rushed. Maybe they were short staffed or it's been a really busy night but it was a shame it wasn't smiles and chatting to us as usual. I will be back and hope it was just an off night

We did not know what to expect when we visited since the exterior of the restaurant does not reflect the interior. We were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly service along with very good food. What’s not to like.

Service was good , but food was average like every other Indian restaurants . It’s expensive, nothing special for this price.

Been here a lot recently food is always really good. Following our recent visit my wife was throwing up all night! She said when she was eating her balti the chicken didn’t seem very fresh and there was a lot of ghee on top of her meal. Don’t think it will put us off though first bad meal we have had and recommended to lots of friends who have all enjoyed and returned.

Been here a few times recently and like to try different dishes. On this visit I tried the Chicken Jeera with a cheese and keema Nan WOW! Fabulous flavours can’t wait to go back and have it again. I would highly recommend.

We frequent Major Curry Affair Burntwood on a regular basis and always find the food to be very good and the service friendly and timely. Tonight was no exception we really enjoyed the chicken tawa and minty lamb dishes. Thankyou.

I rang up and ordered 2 curries and 2 naan breads to be delivered. The curries were just luke warm and the naans were cold. I rang up to complain but all they said was I’m sorry about that. Sorry isn’t good enough. I paid nearly £25 for food that had to be warmed up but hardly ate any as the naan breads went hard warmed up. I’ve messaged them and asked for a manager to get in touch. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Amazing food and staff was very busy when we went but service was amazing and the food came red hot. Very reasonably priced too

bad we ordered a chicken karma and we asked for a tikka curry and chips we got chicken karma little tikka bits and chips no tikka curry so i had to go with out and it tastes bland no taste to it microwave food and it was 25 pounds for bad food

This was our first visit since it opened. There is limited parking outside but plenty a short distance away. Inside it is modern and bright with sparse furnishing but looks very clean. When we booked we didn't realise it had no alcohol licence so a member of our group had to quickly pop out to pick up some wine & beer, not a problem because this applies to many local Indian restaurants. The menu is extensive and offers a mass of options ranging from fusion to traditional. My start of onion bhaji was large but a bit on the dry side, maybe it had been kept on the pass for a while, this was followed by a main course of chicken shaslik was also a bit dry and bland. My wife liked her shami kebab starter but was less impressed with her chicken jalfrezi which didn't taste very spicy. The nan bread was good. I really wanted to like Major Curry Affair because it is the nearest Indian to us but I found the food fairly average. Maybe they should reduce the size of the menu and concentrate on doing some dishes really well. Service was friendly and prices are lower than I expected. I'd go again to see if it was just an off night for the chef.

An honest review? OK, I have to say, our meal was bland. No flavour at all. We asked for a mild chicken tikka masalla. It was mild, but also flavourless. The chips were undercooked, chicken seems formed and doesn't appear fresh. It is as if the spices (ie heat) mask the overall flavour. We have yet to find a decent Indian takeaway in Burntwood. Given there are quite a few, this is very disappointing. In our view, if these establishments want our hard earned money, they need to produce much better.

14 of us went to Major Curry Affair and we all loved it. The food was of amazing standard. All the staff were kind and friendly. It was surprisingly cheap for how many people we had. Excellent night, absolutely a first class restaurant.

Lovely meal and very comfortable surroundings. Very friendly staff. First rate. We’ll be coming back soon.

Don't usually do takeaway but got to admit this has been the best meal I have eaten in a long time absolutely beautiful. Will definitely order from here again 5 *****. Highly recommend without a doubt.

We have recently visited major curry affair Burntwood and found the food to be enjoyable and good quality. The restaurant has a nice ambience and staff are efficient and friendly

The food here is of a consistently high quality. The vegetarian Rogan Josh and the salmon tikka massala were very flavoursome. Aloo parathas , chana massala and tarka daal very well prepared, and the whole meal served to a high standard. Thoroughly recommended

Went down Friday night with the family first time trying major curry affair since it has been in new ownership had various items on the menu I tried garlic chicken shashlik Bhuna it’s excellent.
