Mai Thai Kitchen in Broxbourne

It's nice to have 'local' options rather than to have to travel in to London for Thai food, which is one of our very favourites. And there is far too much bad Thai food out here too. We have visited this restaurant twice now. So for someone who has lived in southeast Asia, just come back from Thailand, and is very fussy about Thai food - how does Mai Thai Kitchen rate? Well there are a couple of gems. I would say that the tom kha and green chicken curry are excellent and very faithful to what you might enjoy in southern Thailand. On the second visit we ordered these same two dishes that we had on our first visit - but this time we requested that they be a little spicier and that the green curry be a little less sweet. The chef didn't quite go as far as we would have liked. I would have scored the green curry slightly higher had they included the Thai aubergines, although perhaps availability of these ingredients is difficult in this country. The fishcakes have a great taste too but the texture is ever so slightly on the rubbery side and the cakes themselves could be more plump. The pad thai was decent although some ingredients were a bit unusual. All in all though it was enjoyable and the most important aspect of it was that it wasn't 'gluey' as they often are. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the menu were the stir fried dishes and those that are closer to Chinese food. The banana dish in the dessert menu was pretty meh too. Really friendly family service.

i would buy my lunch from mai thai every day i was in the office, the food was always perfection, but the lunch deliveries seem to have changed to only evening deliveries. i leave the office at 5pm when deliveries start. i truly miss Mai Thai at lunch times

We’ve eaten here many times & noticed they’ve tweaked their menu . We had a bottle of Thai red wine & shared Tamarind duck, Kee Maow (spicy chilli beef noodles ) & jasmine rice, followed by Thai coconut pancakes & banana fritters. Everything was cooked perfectly & delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant & price was very reasonable

I went and picked up the order but they forgot my rice. However, they delivered it within a few mins so not a problem. Food was amazing. Even the kids loved it. Can’t recommend enough.

Went with friends for the first time this evening and was blown away. It was very welcoming and friendly. The place was spotless and frequently being cleaned as customers left and not just a quick wipe. Their menu was extensive and the food was cooked to order which was good for me as I do not like lemon grass. The food we all has was delicious. It was fresh and quality. All perfectly warm and served quickly. Best Thai I have ever tasted.

First time visiting this place. Staff very friendly...service good....food so yummy and tasty..will pop in again..to eat

We went for my birthday on a Friday night. Lovely food and attentive staff. A brilliant addition to the area and we can’t wait to go back.

We’ve used Mai Thai for a few take aways and the food has always been wonderful. Decided to eat in last night and it didn’t disappoint, the food was amazing, even better than the take away! If you haven’t, you need to try this place. Superb

Having been to Thailand numerous times, I can honestly say the food here at Mai Thai reminds me of being right back there in Phuket :) The food is out of this world and we order from here almost every week as a date night treat (take-away) for my husband and I. We love the Pad Thai Noodles, green curry, vegetable spring rolls, spare ribs and pretty much everything we have tried! I love my chilli too and they get it right every time :) The owners are so lovely too and have such a passion for authentic, fresh food. Cannot recommend this place enough and I am already looking forward to it next week :) Thank you for coming to Cheshunt!!!

3rd time here (1 delivery, 2 in restaurant) & every meal was delicious. We had spare ribs & tempura vegetables starter followed by Thai red prawn curry, chicken Penang & beef pad thai, & jasmine rice. No desert as we were stuffed, tho we had banana fritters & an ice cream dish last time & they were lovely. Everything looked lovely & tasted better! Highly recommend here, nice to see a different option other than Turkish, Indian or Chinese in Cheshunt. Great service, reasonable price.

I would like to say I'm not a takeaway lover I love cooking however this was the best takeaway Thai I've had in a long time also very polite and helpful thank you team mai thai kitchen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Saw this restaurant on our way home from the supermarket and thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed.....although my husband was as I ate his Pad Thai !!!! I ordered Pad Kee Maow and the flavour was really lovely but it was just too spicy for me with the fresh chillies so he swapped. We also had Chicken Satay which was delish ! Would definitely have the Pad Thai next time! Took us back to our Thailand trip when we were allowed to leave our homes and travel !!!!!

Thought we would try this new place for a lockdown treat, and a treat it was! Fresh, tasty, good portions, Not greasy. Will definitely order from them again. Fantastic to have something other than a chicken shop, Indian or Chineese in Cheshunt. Oh and delivery was right on time!
