Went with my Asian friend who was visiting from London. The food was amazing . My friend likes his curry spicy and he wasn't disappointed .He said it was one of the best he had eaten in the UK and I had to agree . The portions were really generous and the staff friendly. The restaurant had a nice cosy atmosphere with plenty of customers.loved it and will be back.

i absolutely love this restaurant! the service is absolutely fantastic and speedy, the food is delicious with great portion sizes! i will definitely be coming again and bringing all my family!

Absolutely brilliant nothing else to say

As a tourist visiting nearby place, we visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner! Food was not authentic but I guess hugely modified to cater to western pallet! Garlic naan didn't look like freshly made! The prices on the menu didn’t match what was charged! There was a note in the menu the prices have been updated. One assumes that it could be say 5-10 % increase in the displayed prices; but bill shows increase of up to 30%! I feel £4.50 for a garlic naan & about £10 for 4 papadam with chutneys are way above what are charged on best restaurants & way beyond the London prices for this food that is at best average! Perhaps, the fact that there is no competition nearby is what is driving these - but I think better to drive 10-15 minutes more to a place that is more authentic & reasonable!

Pleasantly surprised. We were passing to travel up North and popped in. I will definitely visit again. The peshwari naan bread is the best I've tasted!!! EVER!

Went for a dinner with the family. Great experience, food very tasty and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a delivery on their website. The food came piping hot and portion sizes were plentiful. The onion bhajis came crispy and their recommended chicken tawa special was very flavourful. Great take-away with lots of options and would use again.

Very disappointed, food barely warm, one couple complained and I wouldn't have eaten what they got the second time. Bad experience, bland food and should have listened to guy on car park who said we would regret going here, he was right

Awful service. Waited 3 hours for our food and they offered a £5 bottle of wine as compensation. Our food was missing two parts of our order. The food we did receive was terrible quality and cold. Recommend no one orders from here

Ordered take away for delivery - promised 1hr to 1hr 30 mins max. Did not arrive after 2 hrs tried to call no answer. Arrived after 3 hrs !! Spoke to manager no real apology. Absolute joke and quite rude / arrogant - Avoid if possible

Had a one starter and three main dishes, plus rice and nan all excellent, disappointed with the cost of the a small soft drink, I wanted lime juice and soda they didn't have lime juice, I changed to blackcurrant and soda,small glasses at a cost of £3.50/might have been £3.20 total cost for a small pint, (£7.00-£6.40 ) Rip off, ruined the night, left a bad taste. Will rethink next meal,

Really really bad food quality. The restaurant says "fine dining" but its not even close. Rotis were not properly cooked and quality of curries deserves 1-2 stars at the best. Will not recommend at all

Ordered a takaway from here. I was ready at the prebooked time. The food was hot and very tasty. Popadoms, onion bargies, chicken pakora, Korm, Pathia, Damshak & Vindaloo, all as each had expected. We live in low marnham and order from here most weekends this is by far one of the best Indians we’ve had. Absolutely gorgeous every time 👍👍

Bought a takeaway for four people last week. 4 mains, 2 sides, 3 pilau, 2 poppadoms with pickle tray. It cost a staggering £69! Apart from the rice, the containers were only three quarters full. Also, some chicken was overcooked and tough. Won’t be going there again.

Had a home delivery, good timing with delivery but disappointing to see the tikka masala had no rice with it yet advertised as a main meal. Seemed expensive for what we had.

We had been thinking of using this place for a while as it is the only Indian restaurant that comes up on Just Eat for our area and wish I'd not bothered. Starters were good but I ordered a Madras for myself and a Pasanda for my wife as she doesn't eat anything too spicy, when we tried them she couldn't tell the difference, they both tasted more like sweet and sour with loads of sugar, we ended up throwing it in the bin. I don't know if we just got the wrong order or a bad one but will definitely think twice before I use these again which is a pity as its the only local take away.

Wow the food here is amazingly delicious. The peshwari naan bread-out of this world. Chicken tikka Ceylon super yummy. Tarka dal delicious. Could not fault anything. Such fresh food will definitely be returning.

The meals were VERY tasty and well prepared, their Peswari Nan's are awesome! We had an early take away, so can't really comment on the atmosphere. The staff were helpful, friendly and the meals were ready quite soon after ordering. Recommended

We've had some lovely meals here , but ....our last couple of visits haven't lived up to our expectations. Four of us dining this time. Slow service. The table next to us was left dirty & unmade the whole of the time we were there. Pleasant waiter, but clearly concentrating more on takeouts than inside diners. We all felt the portions were slightly smaller. A great shame as we've enjoyed meals here in the past, perhaps not a lot to some folk, but in paying £80 + for a meal we would expect a better experience than we had.

the food was really, really good! service was great, even though we made quite a mess with the young ones. we had a lovely meal and will come again! the toilet needs a good clean and there a couple of spots that need some paint or a new skirting board, tables are set nicely and i love the napkins

Absolutely excellent food and service. Appearances deceive as housed in an old failed pub that could do with some work outside, but what a contrast within. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. As good as found in the West End of London.

Ordered a meal to collect, service was a little slow but well worth the wait. Very happy with the food. Chicken tikka masala was excellent, also tried the keema aloo mattur (mince dish with peas and potatoes) very nice will certainly have again. Thank you for a lovely meal 😋

Very slow service, meal took over hour and half to come out. . One waiter keep forgetting things and would go on to serve other people without remembering. Average pricing for average meal. Wouldn't go again or recommend

They were busy and we was in the back room so was out of the way. It was like they forgot about the people in that room apart from that food was good

We came here tonight for the last meal of our holiday Wow! Food was delicious, just gutted we waited a week to try it as I would of defo gone back Best Indian iv had in years. Not swimming in grease just fresh lovely food

Food is very good, price is acceptable for the quality of food. Delivery ETA's can be hit or miss, I prefer to collect because of this.. Still worth 5 stars.

Ordered our meal at 7pm with an expected delivery time of 8pm. Meal did not arrived until 9:45 almost 2 hours late. We rang the restaurant on numerous occasions and were told the driver had left with the food and then told it was served up and waiting to be collected for delivery, then told it was on its way again. Food arrived and was cold. Really disappointed with the service when we spent nearly £80 on a take away and we were then told they were really busy so it’s not their fault.

Order placed for an 8:30 delivery, called to chase at approx 9:10, to be told it would be another 20 minutes, food arrived at just before 10pm, SOME ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATE, the food was only just warm enough, naan bread was like rubber!!, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!

Excellent food delicious great choice first time we have collected a take out and we will return . The food is five stars staff very friendly. Place is immaculate and very well presented . We had chicken Tikka masala and chicken korma two mushroom pilau rice chips three poppadom and pickle tray with a Peshwari naan. Three people great amount of food no waste . Rediculous long wait for takeaway I ordered over phone not recommended

We ordered a delivery …2 x Popadoms and a pickle tray, 1 x lamb dupiaza, 1 x butter chicken, garlic naan and plain pilau rice. All courses were really tasty! The butter chicken was more like a korma than a butter chicken but we made it spicy and the two dishes together were lovely. We’ll be ordering again…Many thanks Maharajah!

Very tasty food, good price, great delivery

Been here a few times now. Last time a party of us had a good curry with all usual trimmings of pops, pickles etc. Good service, nice and clean venue with good food. Only thing to note is the curries maybe less spicey than some but for me the madras was as hot as I'd expect. Some of the other curries were described as hot yet not so. Think the heat difference maybe related to typical English curries against their house specials etc. I will go to again for sure.

Not too far from me, has a big carpark opposite which is very handy. Only visited a couple of times and found the food is lovely and we will visit again.

Thursday night, I visited as part of a group. Ample car parking. Inside was clean with good food and service. I had a typical poppadom and pickle tray, curry & naan. Enjoyed the food, curry was really good. I will go back.

Went here last night with my wife who is in a wheelchair i Went in on my own and asked if they had room for the wheelchair and they instantly said no problem and made room and came out to help me to get my wife inside, the food was very good and well recommended very helpful thank you. Not recommended for fully disabled people.

Good curry. My grandparents live locally and recommended this place. Pity about the small portions. Tiny amounts on a plate and I wasn't satisfied and full after spending 50 quid on a curry for 2 people.

We had a very nice meal last night. The service and food was bang on. It was our first visit and will not be the last.

First time order for takeaway, very impressed. Tasted delicious and would definitely recommend. The Makhani Masala, with mango, was particularly moreish. Every last bit was finished, thank you 👍

First time customers of Maharaj and we will certainly return. We had a takeaway delivered to a nearby caravan/motorhome site where we were staying. Delivery was on time, food lovely and hot and both curries delicious.

Went there last night for a curry, been looking for a good Indian, I was not disappointed really enjoyed it.

New to area and our first Indian takeaway from here. Ordering online was a bit of a faff so will ring next time. Took 1hr 30 mins to be delivered but was a Saturday night. Food was really tasty but wasnt as warm as i would have liked but we do live a fair way from the restaurant but a quick blast in microwave was all it needed. The order was missing a keema rice and was given a keema nan instead.Will I use again, very probably.

AVOID! Worst curry me and my family have ever had, and took over 2 hours to be delivered. The chicken was a so dry and the curry was so liquidy. Ordered 4 currys and 4 naans; parts of the order did not turn up. The chicken bhuna was a drink rather than a meal, and a bad one at that. Korma looked like my dog had eaten something dodgey. Tandoori chicken was drier than the sahara.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, it's on the main A57 so the road is busy with car parking across the road. But inside excellent decor, lovely staff, and the food, well I'm going back again and again.. l think if you have a party of around 12, you can have your own separate room (but check that with venue)..

Avoid this restaurant. We visited after a lovely trip to Sundown. We were a table of 7, including 3 children. The restaurant wasn't very busy had a few other tables. We asked for 2 more naans, however they never came. When I asked we were told they were forgotten about and that we had made the waiter run around after us! We only asked for some paper and pens for the kids to write on and a few extra glasses, nothing out of the ordinary! I just couldn't believe how rude the waiter was, he then went onto say that he was the manager! Has no clue about customer service. The food was nothing special and very overpriced too. Definitely won't be going back.

Soggy Mess Two dishes both full of water, so disappointing

we have had a few different takeaway dishes from here. all have been the finest quality. Recently I had the lamb Rogan josh. it is by far the best I have ever tasted, very fresh and well balanced flavours. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommend.

First time ordering from here and I was really disappointed. Granted it was Saturday night and I expected to wait but was told an hour and it was 1hr 20 mins when it arrived and only just warm! I ordered garlic chilli chicken, there was very little chicken and the sauce was really runny with no depth of flavour. The side saag aloo was also disappointing. It wasn't cheap either so sadly I won't be ordering from here again.

Expensive for Indian food, chicken had been frozen to hell, or just cheap meat, and 60p a poppadom? Come in most places give them away

1st time we decided to use the restaurant for delivery. We’ve previously eaten at the restaurant. I actually enjoyed the take away more than I did eating in. Food was ordered via the website, I didn’t find the ordering process very easy on the website but once I eventually figured it out we was good to do. Food came within the allotted slot & was hot & tasty. Would def go back again and would recommend. It may be easier to call rather than order on line.

Ordered a takeaway on just eat. The food arrived 50 minutes late and stone cold!!!! Put it in the oven to heat up and we could not fault it!!! Sack just eat and set up your own delivery service. You could be losing a lot of custom using just eat.
