Magnificent Wok in Babergh

Not good with allergens at all! Specifically asked for no egg in the mixed veg rice - we received egg. Ordered a dish which did not have a nut allergen symbol next to it, therefore deeming it safe to eat, yet it arrived with cashews in it. All in all, won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered the set menu for 4 (c) plus house noodles . At first glance it seems to be expensive but when the food was ready to pick up, it was piping hot freshly made, lovely assortment of veggies ( including straw mushrooms, baby corn) and could have fed 5 to 6 people easily. Would recommend 👌 this chinese.

Phoned and ordered a take away, it was ready to collect when I got there and the food is delicious, and very good sized portions, next time I'll probably order less but wasn't sure about portion sizes.

Not good. Won’t be going there again. King prawn balls were made with a tiny section of a prawn and the rest was soft batter. Crispy chill beef wasn’t crispy at all. Chicken chow mein had no onion or bean shoots in it. Sweet and sour sauce was just thick jelly fief gloop. Prices were above average. Probably the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had.

Got take-away for a late night for our crew at work. The service was spectacular and the food was super tasty! The prawn toast, crispy beef, and garlic chilli chicken, and bbq ribs were the favourites, but we enjoyed it all.

Greasy tasteless food with a follow up of food poisoning and sickness.. never ever again.

Not great to be honest, chips tasted like they had been fried in oil that was 20 years old, burnt chemical taste to them, hardly any chicken in the chicken fried rice. Won’t be returning.

As a new customer today I can assure that this take away was the best in my opinion around the area being from Hadleigh I'd rather drive the short distance and get a quality meal that's for sure. Good portion size and quality meat on ribs, thanks I'll be returning.

I had the egg fried rice, crispy chilli beef and I was sick straight afterwards😞 such a shame as the people in their were so lovely. Not sure if the rice was re cooked from the previous day or what but I threw up the whole of the rice 😬

My partner and I had a takeaway last night. Fantastic food as always and I was really impressed with the new measures in place re: covid 19. Clearly huge efforts have been made to protect both customers and staff and I felt reassured receiving my food. Quick and easy with no fuss despite difficult circumstances. A new hatch created by removing an entire glass panel from the door. Well done guys and thank you for another lovely meal. We drive a fair way to you because its always worth it!

Not the best chino to be fare ..had issues with found hair in food and dish missing. The sweet sour chick balls are more like cakes than batter balls. Sweet sour and kung po chick is same sauce Food is bland like the girls serving and takeing calls like school kids ...well the light buld is brighter than them ..bit rude at times too they dont know whats going on some times well most really . So bland food not much taste most dishes same as each other. Staff well we leave it there....

I have been eating from this takeaway for about 4-5 years now with current owner and his food is consistently good, very hot and i have never had any family member complain and its about 20% cheaper than Manningtree too. We did buy from my other previous regular one at Hadleigh but still prefer Capel

Pricy and not exactly professional. Never really understood why people leave a bad review before rather than talk to the business but had a weird experience tonight. Rang to order one dish, was told to collect in 10 minutes. Arrived just before 10 mins and told " not sure where my order is". The friendly, polite girl then told me that it was in the trike of the small child playing behind the counter "delivering" meals. Cute maybe, but in reality, she picked my container up from the floor! Slightly shocked, will be reporting to environmental health as don't feel that the teenager behind the counter should be responsible for the care of the owners' small child.

Great little takeaway. Good value, freshly cooked food. Helpful staff.
