Magic Wrap in Cardiff

I feel magic wrap is by far one of the best lunches to get in Cardiff. The food is the best lunchtime takeaway. It is simple, speedy and there is an abundance of choice.

My boyfriend had hyped up magic wrap for ages saying that they’re absolutely incredible and that we needed to get one! We finally got round to getting one, well, two each actually, one for lunch and one for dinner hahah! They were so delicious, so fresh and tasty with good quality ingredients. Fast service and a very reasonable price for how big they are! I just wish they would expand down to Exeter so I could have one more often!! Would recommend 100% for lunch over going to a subway or something, much more exciting! And I’m usually a subway fan!

Tried here for the first time yesterday. Had a falafel, halloumi and humous wrap and it was really nice! The staff looked a bit miserable but it didn't seem to impact the quality of the food. I'll definitely be back! The only thing I wish it had was somewhere to sit.

I went at lunch time and ordered a wrap with no cranberry as I can’t stand the taste so ordered the festive wrap without. To my surprise when I got to the office I found that they included it. When I contacted them via there website they didn’t seem bothered and didn’t have decency to reply to me. Worst customer experience!

I've been to Barrack Lane a few times and they never disappoint. So yummy and full of fillings. My favourite is falafel, brie, salad with hummus and sweet chilli on wholemeal and it is to die for! So good!!!

This place I have tried a few times and every time this place surprises me . Twice now ordered falafel wrap and Magic got chicken . It seems they don’t care about it and happy to serve over priced wrong food . Avoid at all cost , if you don’t believe me try it urself . I tried 3 times Barrack lane branch of magic wrap . It’s a Magic what u find inside . I have reported them to food standard agency and trading standard .

Come here probably abit too often, Amazing wraps and very friendly staff, I would recommend the Mad Mex !

Wow the wraps here are something else. I had a toasted jerk chicken wrap with haloomi cheese which was so lovely and filling. Was also happy to see they stock the brand “real crisps” which go lovely with the wrap

I love this place. Really tasty wraps and loads of choice. Every time I'm in Cardiff I head back here.

Love this place. I have a loyalty card that shows how much I love it. A much much better version of a subway with nicer ingredients and tastier wraps. I love a large whole meal wrap with Toby filling. I visit whenever in the area at lunch time, so fresh, relatively healthy and delicious

I picked up a contact round the corner from the magic wrap! Used it most days! So nice to be able pick up a healthy snack that tasted really good. Service was quick and good. Highly recommend it.

I really, really like Magic Wrap. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat as its a bit different and is also a lot healthier than other sandwich shops and also has a really great variety of fillings. It's good fun as you can pick and choose meats, sauces and salad to suit your taste. Good value for money and good options for vegetarians.

Had a flying pig wrap from this shop - not as tasty as I thought given he description but a safe bet for a decent lunch.

Fresh food. Prepared in front of you. I like the vegetarian choices. They have 2 kinds if Falafel. Rich wrap. I recommend it for my don ( student in university). I order large wrap, cut it into half to share it with my husband.

I came here after hearing so much about it and passing it so often on my way to work; and was expecting it to be this amazing place after the countless raving reviews. Boy was I wrong. Working in hospitality myself I am prone to judge outlets strongly on their customer service and this place has none what so ever. I had never been before so wasn't sure what they offered from their menu and when I asked I was clearly told to read the board. It was clear that this staff member didn't want to be there or even deal with me. Then when I did place my order he spoke to me in such a mumbled voice I couldn't hear him, and when I asked to repeat himself he spoke to me as if I was a piece of dirt. No other staff member even bothered to step in and apologise. Clearly they've either not had training or just don't care. I'm not one to not say anything so when I addressed the issue I was clearly ignored. I hope this was a one off and that no one else has to go through the same thing. Such a disappointment and defiant not value for money

Cómo no he pensado en examinar este lugar antes de ahora? ! Literalmente es uno de mis lugares favoritos para comer. Nunca. Deliciosa, sana y fresca. He estado yendo por años. Casi una década. Y jamás ha fallado a entregar. Un gran concepto, que hubiese más sitios. Mantener el buen trabajo. Sin duda merece la pena una visita (o 10 000):).

Pasó por aquí con mi hijo de 18 años para comer algo antes de ir al teatro! Buen servicio y los añadidos estaban deliciosos! Tuve base humous, pollo, pepinillos, ensalada y halloumi! Excelente calidad y precio muy razonable (14 libras. 00 por 2 grandes envolturas, 2 bebidas y 2 paquetes de patatas fritas). ¡Me encantó!

Ate here almost everyday during my time at CU. Best food on campus! Please bring to the US. It would be amazing!

Yo prácticamente vivir en este lugar, mi cantina en el trabajo no es muy buena, así que tome cualquier oportunidad que pueda para entrar al otro lado de esta pequeña joya. El personal es super amable y estoy lentamente a través del menú. Poco caro...

Gran admirador de envoltura de magia, comida fresca y saludable. Han sido ellos comiendo desde 2011 cuando en uni-me alegra ver que he ampliado en la bahía y de la ciudad. Bastante caro para el almuerzo, pero un bonito regalo con almuerzo viernes ocasionales compañeros...

Soy un gran fan de la lechuga son una auténtica delicia, perfecto para el almuerzo. Las envolturas están hechas en frente de usted, usted puede crear su propio o un combo regular desde el menú, puedes elegir un yogur de base también pueden recoger hummus...

Este lugar es mucho mejor que el metro. A un precio muy razonable también!!! Yo trabajo muy cerca de este lugar, y ahora es mi ir también para el almuerzo.

This place does lovely wraps. Very tasty and well put together. The staff are always courteous too. They are very expensive however. Not somewhere you would buy lunch from regularly.

I have eaten here on multiple occasions because of the convenience of it being in the Students Union but I can't help feeling like it would be so much better if it was just less expensive and therefore more affordable for students. You can tell it is good quality ingredients but the prices aren't clear, with the signs simply saying what prices a regular and a large start at and not actually what each of the different flavours actually cost and therefore I'm always a bit shocked when I get to the till!

My first visit to Magic wrap and it was delicious. Lovely fresh exotic ingredients which taste great. I had the Jamaican special and I will defo be back for more. Pretty healthy and very tasty.

I'm a student at Cardiff University and I'm always at the union so this is perfectly placed. There is so much choice for whatever you're into and the salad is always so fresh! The wrap is cooked for a short amount of time making it crispy on the outside and slightly melts any cheese on the inside, while still keeping the salad fresh. Delcious

The choice of ingredients is wide and varied, everything looks and tastes fresh, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The wraps are a little on the pricey side, more than you'd pay at Subway for example, but the food tastes much better quality and they do fill the wraps very well. You try it once and it becomes a lunchtime routine!

I do enjoy a magic wrap. They offer an awesome choice of fillings, although I wish they still did pineapple!Not sure about the halal meat though, that puts me off a little. It's also quite expensive but worth it.

Quick lunch on the go, a nice variety of fillings in your choice of white or whole meal Greek-style wrap. I opted for a Satay wrap, and a good helping of salad. Everything I pre-cooked from a meat perspective, so service was quick, but couldn't help thinking the fillings were a little stingy for the price. Nice taste to the satay sauce, but not really as much as I would have liked.

Popped in her for a quick bite to eat. There was an excellent choice of fillings all looking fresh. Very clean my reason for not giving excellent rating because there was a member of staff chewing gum. This is not good in a food environment. Also a member of staff with a big bushy beard this should be covered with a hair net slightly off putting.

This shop is tucked away down a side street. Me and hubby love wraps so thought we would have a try. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's set up like Subway. You go along the counter and pick what you want. I had tuna and extras and hubby had beef and extras. We collected our wraps and went outside to eat them, unfortunately the young man who served us got the order all wrong. He was doing the two at the same time and it was obviously new and was training. We all got to start some where!! No probs hubby went back in explained and they made us fresh ones. They were delicious, a large selection to choose from and will definitely be returning. Top service :)

Great on the go food in the students union grab a wrap and go. Great selection of both carnivorous and veggie options, friendly staff busy and you will have to queue but not for long.

This place is great for a quick stop lunch. The prices are reasonable and there's normally a good lunch deal available.

I go here quite regularly on my lunch break as it is conveniently located, quick service and most importantly great food! Have seen it become a very popular place since it first opened

I always come here in my lunch hour and it is excellent! There's a wide variety of choice and it is always quick, easy and cheap!

It's ok to go here if you don't have time to go anywhere else on your lunch break. The food is good, but the amount of meat you get in the wrap is pretty pathetic. There is a place on Albany road called La Minas which offers double the filling for half the price. If they put more filling in then I would visit much more often.

Lunch time won't be the same without the Magic Wrap.Have been visiting the Magic wrap for years and have only had great food and service from the guys & girls. Great choice and quick service. Great staff and food.

I grabbed a chicken and halloumi wrap from here for lunch, it was pretty good but expensive for what you get. The staff are friendly and the food seems fresh but is nothing special. average is fair as there are much better lunch spots in the town.

Been here a few times now, only at the Cardiff Bay store. I really love this place, it's fresh, new, and the staff are always happy! There is always a queue and service is fast. It's perfect for lunch on the go. The random act of kindness day was amazing, the staff worked sooooo hard that day and it showed! Well done!

Magic Wrap single-handedly kept me alive and [vaguely] healthy while I was in my final year. When the pressures of coursework were getting to me, and I didn't have time to cook (Or do anything except sit in the library!) I went to Magic Wrap constantly because it was easy to eat, easy to get, and the food made me feel good because it's full of fresh and delicious salad and vegetables, as well as being hot and tasty.Instead of the unhealthy and de-energising, greasy takeouts that serve you quickly, I could go to the student union (which is close to a lot of libraries) and have something that I never get bored of because of the huge range of sauces, wraps and add-ons. A lifesaver tbh.I particularly recommend a Toby without the BBQ sauce and with pesto and avocado.

There is not much more to say about this place other than it is amazing! The food is all fresh, speedy service and taste is second to none. Myself and my wife are regular visitors and the prices are good value for money. Lots of choice (if not too much as I'm always undecided as they are all so good)If you haven't tried this place you are missing out!

I used to visit this place so frequently and am just gutted there are not more branches across the country. There is often a large queue which can be off putting but in the time you have found somewhere else, queued (maybe a little less) and decided what you would like to eat you may as well have ordered here! Good food is worth the wait!The wraps are freshly made to order with many different options for filling. I have never been disappointed with a wrap from here. They are very filling and certainly worth every penny.

I called in here when in work late one day as I had seen the queues at lunchtime. It was a fantastic wrap extremely well made and good combination of ingredients. Very very good

I'm not kidding when I say that during my third year of uni (2010/2011), I genuinely had a magic wrap nearly every day for the whole first term. I exercised some restraint after that, but still to this day I wake up with a hang over and desperately long for a magic wrap! Please come to London! :)

Magic Wrap is the best eatery in the bay. What else could you ask for. Tasty, healthy , filling, affordable and pronounce chirizo properly.

Magic wrap... Well what can I say?! I never had anything better grace my taste buds it's truly the nectar of the gods! It's fresh ingredients and unbeatable staff truly make this a heavenly experience which I can only parallel with gracing the pearly gates themselves! This is an amazing establishment with out of this worldly staff! If you in Cardiff you would be making a grave mistake by not visiting!!

Love the concept and the wraps - a large choice of ingredients and sauces wrapped in a flat bread and toasted under a panini grill. Almost endless variety - choose healthy or less healthy options - you can even not have the wrap and have the ingredients as a salad instead! So much nicer than a dull sandwich - makes for a happy lunch break even if you do end up taking it back to the office to eat at your desk.

Been going to the Magic Wrap since the original on wellfield road. Try to visit the city centre or student union one whenever I'm near. Filling, fresh, tasty ingredients. Makes a lovely change from the usual pre packaged sandwiches or expensive lunch time food choices that lack flavour. Love these, hope they stick around :)
