Hak's Fish Bar & Kebabs in Cardiff

I was full turbo and took a pit stop in chippy lane and strutted into Haks and me and my friends shared a chicken curry and chips and honestly was amazing, wow Received a WhatsApp next day from the Dobz reminiscing about how good it was in her mouth and I knew straight away it was the Haks fish bar cuisine Highly recommend this place if you’re ever out in the diff town region

I’m a 6’1” adult male. I’m difficult to miss. However it would seem I’m invisible in this shop since I stood there for 10 minutes as they served people who walked in after me. Rude. Would never use again

Had battered sausage and chips after a night out. They were cold and battered sausage was raw and pink inside, when asked the staff, they said it was kept warm in the heater and cooked. Definitely would not recommend. Chips were cold and not fresh.

This is the best takeaway in Cardiff and probably Wales by a country mile, sober or not, won't go anywhere else. Amazing vegan food which is rare, friendly staff and perfectly priced, can't recommend enough.

Order came was freezing cold driver got lost .. food went in the bin and wedges were burnt !!!!wil never order from these again !!!

Awsome food kebabs are amazing unfortunately they were out off stock off onion bhajis and green tea but they do sell amazing scooters

Asked for a mixed meat In A box and that’s what I got. A great mix of donner and chicken served by a well mannered and witty member of staff. Enjoyable experience would definatly recommend. Thanks

Wanted a quick bite today. Went for the box meal with chicken and double cheese burger. Really nice guy served us, food cooked fresh to order! Very good value for money, burger was lovely and a fraction of the price of five guys opposite! Many thanks

Easily the best food in Cardiff town either on a night out or during a work day. Constantly order the Combo Box whenever I'm in the area and every single time it is filling, packed full of flavour and for £5 you aren't going to be leaving hungry or with any doubts about the quality and value of the meal. The service is also spectacular. You're given exceptional treatment and treated like a valued customer - though when it is busy you can expect a short wait you can bet it'll be worth it. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else and every time friends come down to visit and experience Cardiff I am always sure to introduce them to Hak's!

Dont normally eat from caraline street but this place is a hidden gem amazing kebabs and burgets this is my regular now and KHALID is a freindly person so helpfull and nice to have a convo with and will be back again. Keep up the good work khalid and the team

I have ordered two meals tonight through JustEat and waited for 2 hours for the meal to arrive. The meal did not arrive so I have called Haks only to be greeted with a rude man on the phone stating the food had been delivered. I was confused by this as I've been home all night with the lockdown on effect and had not heard so much as a knock on the door let along the food being delivered. He said there was nothing he could do and that I would need to speak to the delivery driver. He refused to provide any details for the driver however and hung up on me. He seemed uninterested by the issue. I find this extremely rude and unprofessional and have now requested a refund through JustEat. I will not be ordering from here again in future sadly.

My wife and I have liked a few drinks in Town ( Cardiff ), we regular have takeaway in Caroline Street before lockdown. We use to always use to go for Chicken curry and chips from the famous one by Haks, One day about 2 years ago we decided to have a kebab From Haks, Well we have used it ever since, Staff brilliant, helpful and every kebab we have had has been excellent best in Cardiff

I ordered 2 mixed kebabs with mint, chilli, garlic sauce and a side of cheesecake. The kebab tasted absolutely incredible, amazing flavour and the right amount of heat from the chilli sauce (no burning, just a kick). The cheesecake was nice but correct me if I'm wrong, the strawberries tasted as though it came frozen from delivery. I'd definitely recommend this to friends, family and general public. 10/10. 5/5 stars

Ordered food here before heading back to our room. Plaice and chips took 25 mins and should be named “skin and chips”. Curry and chips looked more like dog s*it and chips and tasted the same. Worst chip shop i have ever been too. Never AGAIN. Slow, sh*t service. Infact rename this place “slow, sh*t chips”

Third attempt to get Fish & Chips! Fortunately for me it is a charm. Fresh Cod made to order and just £5. Great find. Very clean and extensive menu having Kebabs, Wraps, Burgers, Fish & Chips and more. Recommend.

¡La comida de Hak es increíble! ! Todos mis amigos adoran venir aquí, son rápidos con comida, la MEJOR relación calidad-precio y buena limpieza. Hacen muchas opciones veganas / veganas, lo cual es genial. El único inconveniente es que toda la comida viene en cajas de poliestireno (que nunca se puede biodegradar). Cámbielas por cajas de cartón / bandejas de tarjetas y los cubiertos de plástico por tenedores / cuchillos de madera, esto atraería a muchos más clientes.

Not quite what I expected - ordered 2 mixed shish kebabs to take away which I assumed (from the description on the menu board) would be “meat” (lamb) and chicken shish. Turned out to be a small amount of chicken shish but combined with (admittedly a fairly large amount of) doner meat rather than lamb kebab. Judging by the number of people that ended up being served ahead of us I think the order maybe got mixed up and they forgot the lamb?! Also there was no bread?? Since when is a kebab served with no bread!

This place looked pretty clean, there were a couple of young-ish friendly, chatty lads behind the counter, one of whom I assumed to be the owner.

Llevé a mi hijo a Hak's a comer hace unos días, tan pronto como entramos en la tienda, todo el personal nos recibió y fueron muy amables y nos dieron un descuento en la comida que fue absolutamente increíble. No puedo esperar para ir Hoy he pasado un tiempo desde que estuve en un restaurante genuino con personas genuinas que preparan una excelente comida y las ofertas que tienen aquí son increíbles y baratas para todos.

Best kebab shop in Cardiff by far, so good it makes you wanna SLAP your momma!! If I go to heaven this place will be there with doner meat and sweetcorn pizzas

Very clean Take away joint. Friendly staff. Food was very quick. Overall generally enjoyed the food. Would recommend.

This place looks clean and well presented and the the guy taking our money was very friendly, but I suppose he was taking the money.

After a good nights drinking we were all hungry and needed food. Hak's kebab shop was just the ticket. Really friendly staff and they quickly served up an amazing kebab with a good selection of salad and chillis too. Can't thank these guys enough!

Vegan hotdog meal £5 (hotdog, chips and a drink). Lovely food!!! The staff are always really nice too. Vegan options include burger, hotdog, pie and wrap.

Best donar kebab that I've had for very long time. Spotlessly clean and good pricing. I'll be back see you soon

Loved this kebab shop. The salad display was fresh and spotlessly clean. Mo served us and was the consummate professional. He couldn't do enough to ensure we were satisfied customer's. 5 stars, we'll be back.
