Much better then I thought against all the negative reviews A traditional Chinese 🇨🇳 big portions old school decent price, tastes great by far the best in Waltham Abbey 💯

I just tried magic wok, the pork balls are fatty pork, unfortunately, I am not ordering food again from there

Normally it's OK but last night order 52.00 total waster of money bland chewy food egg fried rice was clumped together unfortunately this place has gone down hill lately use ro be lovely and over priced now

Paid £22.00 for a half crispy duck. What I received was not fresh and it seemed it was frozen pre done, old and over microwaved and inedible. Gave it to my dogs to eat. This unfortunately ruined the whole experience. Don’t waste your money!!

First time having this Chinese and it was OK. But the morning after wasn't nice. My poor children had to listen to me and my partner having diarrhea and being sick. Taking turns to use the toilet. Won't be using this take away again.

Pork balls were a bit tough and dry but everything else was lovely

The food has really gone downhill, the Sweet and Sour Sauce was lumpy and the ribs were all fat and no meat, Wont be ordering from here again.

Really nice food, delivered early and piping hot. We enjoyed sweet & sour prawn balls, chicken chow mein, crispy chilli beef, cashew chicken and fried rice. Portions were ample and the food was tasty, not at all greasy and it was excellent quality. Look forward to ordering again.

Anaemic chow mein, dreadful quality chicken, bland sauce, nothing crispy about the crispy aromatic duck with dry cucumber and nasty hoisin sauce, sweet and sour chicken was strange, egg fried rice was flavourless plain boiled rice with hard clumps and a tiny bit of scrambled egg, must be the recent egg shortage. Not sure how anyone’s raving about this place, only half decent thing was the prawn crackers and how fast and hot it was.

Usually like it here but the chow mein was so burnt and stunk really bad . The rest of the food was nice but becaise the chow mein touched it the rest of it had to be chucked away . Really disappointed i must admit and dont ever like to give a bad review

Good food, good price, delivery on time

I once ordered from here with a friend @ work. That was nearly 5 years ago and I cannot eat from any other Chinese place. Never had a bad dish from here and the lady is lovely. I love it here

The only criticism I have is that it hardly seems to be accepting orders. That leaves me disappointed, but I guess that also shows how highly I rate them too?

Arrived piping hot, and just as tasty as always. Only place I would use in the abbey 👍

The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken balls. Everything else I've ever ordered from here is wonderful. Friendly delivery driver as well.

The food is alright but the customer service there is inexistent... First thing you'd see there is a lady with a face like thunder, who can't even be bothered to say hello back to you. So rude and thinks you're a nuisance to visit their shop. Consistently poor experience in there and some basic manners go a long way in life!!!

Recently moved to waltham abbey and have tried all the local Chinese. Food here is fantastic. Chicken in capital sauce is to die for. Superb

Chicken chow mein, chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken balls and salt and pepper squid ordered. The chow mein was seasoned perfectly, the curry was spicy without being too powerful, the chicken balls were well cooked with fresh batter and the squid wasn't over cooked (as others in the area do). Each container was bulging with food and not half filled like others. I'm actually quite glad that Chinese is generally an expensive takeaway or I'd be ordering from this place every day. Very, very impressed.

Food was piping hot and overall very nice. The salt and pepper squid was a huge portion compared to most places. Mushroom chow mein was lovely with generous amount of mushrooms. Kung PO chicken was rather different to what I'm used to, it was pretty good though.

Been meaning to write a review for the past month since we first ordered. The crispy duck is the nicest I have ever had. The spring rolls are also amazing. Portion sizes are very good and delivery has always been on time or early.

The food was excellent and I would definitely order from there again, delivery driver was friendly and polite. It’s a thumbs up from me and would recommend it

Absolutely disgusting!!!!! I hate being negative and giving bad reviews but in this case I feel it's my civic duty. Had a big meal for 5 including a watery tasteless curry, chicken balls I can't explain they were so slimy in the middle made friends and me gag. Everythin greasy, tastless and nasty. It went in the bin. Mate was very I'll next day. I don't say this lightly. This was not just the worst Chinese takeaway ever but the worst takeaway I've ever ate.

Im normally quite fair with reviews and prefer to point out the positives rather than negatives, but there really isnt anything positive to say about this place. We waited an hour and a half for food. Bits of my order were missing. What did arrive was awful! Sweet and sour sauce tasted like vinegar. Chowmein was soggy and mushy and chicken balls were over cooked and filled with grease. The pork was dry and unedible and i could literally stand my fork up in the curry sauce. Really disappointed, and wont be ordering from here again. Only gave 1 star as it was the least i could give, but deserves a 0!
