DONT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN! I placed an order and everything seemed amazing and lovely then when I rang to double check I had the right thing they informed me not and that they had given me meat!

All the did was dry and didn’t taste good. First and last order for me I’m afraid

very bad service ,over 3hours food hast arrived. I call and they keep saying 10minutes and still nothing.. this is the worst service I've every experienced . no food arrived. I want my money back

Delivered in perfect time. Good quality, very tasty. Mistakenly sent me one incorrect item. The guy that took my call was very polite, friendly and professional and had the correct item sent out piping hot in no time. So impressed! Told me I could keep the incorrect item and it was actually delicious! I think it was broccoli in a garlic sauce. The chicken curry was tasty but I felt it was lacking in chicken and veg, there was a lot of sauce. I would order again.

Taste and quality wasn’t anywhere near how it usually is. New chef maybe? It lacked taste. 2 prawns and 2 bits of beef. Meat was extremely over cooked, especially the beef. Both dishes lacked flavour.

Takeaway delivery was ordered at 19.30 arrived at 21.05 !!! Fortunately the food was delicious once reheated ! Special chow mein was delicious ! House special curry was plentiful and special rice was also plentiful and tasty ! Will definitely be using this restaurant again. !!

It took 50 minutes from the point I got the notification to the food arriving to do a 4 mile journey. As a result the food quality was terrible. It was cold, the bag was dripping wet with condensation which affected the batter. Overall was not good

Crispy Duck not crispy, soggy greasy skin. Cucumber strips spongy, at the very least a day old.

The store is more of a take away place, there is only one table (max. 2 people), don't plan to eat here. No ambience and calls for food coming in all the time as well as delivery drivers and customers picking up. Owner is not customer oriented, prices are different online on the site, the apps and the in store menu which is VERY annoying. Owner did not respect prices or find a resolution, #badclientexperience and all for about 2 pounds or less.

Llegué a Brighton un sábado por la noche y tenía hambre después de un viaje en autobús de 7 horas y me encontré con este lugar. Desde la playa, The Magic Wok se encuentra a poco más de 3 / 4 's del camino por Preston Street. Hay algunos buenos restaurantes en Preston Street, pero por el precio y la calidad de la comida, este lugar me la empujó. Brighton en general es un lugar caro y por lo que espera pagar ese poco más en comparación con otros lugares, sin embargo, este lugar era bastante razonable. Opté por las albóndigas de pollo Sweet and Sour que tenía con patatas fritas, que resultó ser una buena opción ya que era agradable. La noche siguiente volví esta vez optando por el Beef Chow Mein, que de nuevo resultó una buena opción ya que estaba delicioso. El servicio era bueno también, y el tipo detrás del mostrador era amable y servicial, ya que me estaba aconsejando sobre lo que hay en la zona local en lo que respecta a tiendas / restaurantes / bares. No tengo nada negativo que decir sobre el Magic Wok, sé que cuando vuelva a Brighton, volveré aquí. ¡Un gran pulgar arriba!

VEGANS / VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!!! I found a piece of duck in my vegan meal 🤢 I called to complain and was told I’d hear from the owner but haven’t heard anything so not only don’t they care about cross contamination they clearly don’t care about customer service either. Will never order again.

Genuinely disgusting food. Some dishes inedible, others simply unpleasant. Three of us ordered and we all had to get another dinner. Total waste of money.

Thought I would give it one more try! Bbq ribs were burnt and fatty, pork was chewy! Rice was nice, chicken balls were ok.. guess you can’t go wrong with frying some batter…. Never again

order was wrong food turned up couple of mins late... such a shame always ordered regularly from this Chinese before and never had any issues... not a happy customer... now sitting waiting for 45 mins after calling them and heard nothing about my order. Food was ordered 19:16 delivery turned up at 20:27. when was meant to be 20:05 - 20:25. now sitting here at 21:19... hungry

Skeptical based on the Google reviews, but I really wanted Chinese food. Got garlic shrimp, chicken chow mein, plain rice, salt and chili chicken and wonton soup. All very flavorful and cooked properly, and they included prawn chips and egg rolls. Pleasantly surprised and it satiated a late night craving.

Expensive for what you are getting very little

Have ordered from this takeaway for the last 6 years. Used to be amazing!! Last couple of orders haven't been great but tonight's order has made me finally remove them from my go to menu. And this is why- lemon chicken.. no sauce! Synthetic sweet and sour sauce with chicken balls. Highlight of the meal? The £1 sachet of rice I bought from the supermarket.

I have been getting from this place for a while and it’s always great. The food is never cold, it always tastes great and the delivery people are always friendly. Very few places in Brighton don’t mess up and order either but still have not had this with this place. 5 stars.

Best Chinese Chicken Curry I’ve had in years!

food looked and tasted like it was rushed

estimated delivery time wss 22:55-23:10. I made the order hoping to get home before delivery. Delivery came in 35mins earlier when I was still not home yet. The delivery guy left the food outside.

Estimated delivery time was over an hour but I went ahead with the order. I had to contact them twice to get an update after the estimate time had passed. Feeble excuse about traffic was given and food eventually arrived about an hour and thirty five minutes after ordering. Food was good.

Didn’t receive order still haven’t recieved refund to just eat account

Missing the pork balls and sweet and sour sauce. No sauce with the duck, and there was barely any duck at all. Two big bones and next to no meat. The soup also tasted very strange. Chow me in was nice though.

Great portions and taste came hot with little extra mini spring rolls which were lovely and nice surprise.

First time ordering from here, and the chicken cashew nut and the beef with ginger and spring onion were delicious, fresh and flavoursome. Generous portions of fried rice too! will be ordering from here again.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken, which was nice. But the Chinese chicken curry wasn’t great, and the house style chow mean, was awful. The meat was slimy, it had hardly any flavour.

Not as good as usual. I ordered rice and got a bean sprout pastie instead. I ordered chicken with cashews and got vegetarian chicken instead. The sesame toast had hardly any sesame seeds on it.
