I live very close to this take away and always wanted to like it but tried too many times now. Chicken fried rice was a huge portion but all rice, very little chicken. Curry sauce tiny portion. Very poor value and quality.

Sent out plain chow mien with egg inside it with no disclaimer. Won’t give a refund either. They sent out eggless ones but I don’t trust that they sanitised or washed the cooking equipment before remaking it as it still has a faint eggy smell. No care for allergens or intolerances. I’ve phoned to say the driver can take all the chow mein back untouched, lady on the phone was hushing & rushing then hung up saying the driver was already on the way. Don’t order from here, they’re under a different name on just eat. The reviews are low for a reason.

Friendly staff, quick service, good food and comfy seating whilst waiting on your order. Not long enough in the shop to rate the atmosphere.

I don't go here anymore. They got orders wrong frequently and were always rude about it.

Best Chinese takeaway ever, the women who serves you is really good if you show her respect and have the decency to let her know on your next visit how much you appreciated their effort and the magic food in your previous order also a smile goes a long way. If occasionally your order is a little late please note it is a very very busy popular takeaway and the delivery drivers are having to drive at this new 20mph pollava you see. If your order is a little messed up its because its a fantastic very very busy little kitchen and the orders do come in think and fast and it's hectic to kero track of everything but it's not about being super human and perfect it's about great tasting food and that's exactly why you get at Magic Kitchen Now get yourself an order and discover the great taste for yourself. Ordered food for delivery at 18:30 yesterday. It arrived at 20:10 (without an apology), by which time we had given up and bought a chippy. Sent the food back. They were cash only, so we didn't need to ask for a refund. If you are too busy you need to tell people the food will take a very long time or stop taking orders. Won't be using them again.

Genuinely one of the worst takeaways I have ever ordered. We ordered shredded sesame chicken and chicken satay skewers. We got shredded chicken it was not sesame and we got chicken satay not on skewers. The salt and pepper ribs were tiny and flavorless. I don't understand why you get bits of ribs rather than full size. So to summarise 2 wrong dishes and bland ribs. The best thing about this takeaway was emptying out the bad food and keeping the plastic Tupperware. I would not recommend and advise anyone to go to Treasure Cottage instead. That's the last time I let the Mrs order something.. I feel robbed.

Was the Best Chinese takeaway in the area, not what it once was. There are better options nearby.

The food is acceptable, considering the price and the location (not so many competitors in the area). But it's better to collect it or order via a delivery service. The food didn't arrived yesterday, I phoned them, finally got it, but the deliveryman was aggressive, kept talking about that I gave the wrong address. I told him it was fine on the website, I just logged in as usual. But he didn't let it go, I wanted to close the door but he just kept pushing the receipt into my face. So to save myself, I let him be right but I will never order from them anymore. I don't need the hassle.

Food is OK, Below average but not so bad you can't eat it . Got half an order wrong and included pork instead of prawns, Prawn crackers given where stale and some where like pate Not the worst but not close to good

Once it was announced that meal had left they added on another 35mins on arrival time. Food freezing cold & tastless won't be ordering here again.

Ordered last night ordered a prawn cocktail along with other food, she phones me back to say no prawns. I said give me portion of mushrooms instead, got food saw the sent prawn cocktail I thought, I.was wrong it was warm mushrooms instead of prawns totally disgusting, how can they send that won't be back

First time I ordered from Magic Kitchen. Came on time. Food was fab. Will use again.

Ordered fish nuggets from Thai section of menu, received fish fingers with sweet and sour sauce

Ordered food at 7:30 pm meant to receive order by 8:05 pm still nothing after 9:08 pm even on the phone to the driver as she couldn't find us finally after 10pm told the takeaway to just cancel it as it was far to late no struggling to get my refund from just eat as the takeaway lied and said we received our order don't order from them disgusting customer service

Surprisingly good food. Ordered online and the order appeared in less time than anticipated. For a Friday evening it took 40 mins from placing order to delivery. Will use again.

I ordered at 5.15. It is now 7.48pm. And still not here. Have rang the restaurant and they said they only have 2 drivers. Not my fault. Over 2 and half hours delivery is not acceptable in any form . Still waiting..... I wish I could cancel.

Ordered at 6pm, food arrived at 8pm stone called. Promptly put into the food bin to avoid food poisoning. They took their phone of the hook for around an hour so we couldn't contact them to discuss refund / replacement food. Won't be using again. They hung up the phone when we eventually got through to them intitially so had to keep calling back again and again until we got a refund. Poor food followed up by even worse customer service. Everyone makes mistakes (maybe they were too busy to cope?) but I firmly believe it's how you put them right after which makes the difference, on this occasion they failed us miserably and we had to reorder elsewhere.

Was in tonight for my usual Lemon Chicken fried rice haha..... Amazing!! I know the drivers and told the place is now under new owners. Massive difference. Chicken wiz tidy. Worth another feed.

This is the worst takeaway in Corstorphine. Absolutely disgusting food! Microwaved spring rolls! Cold congealed rice! Sweet and sour with NO vegetables! Don’t go there

Absolutely has be some of the best Chinese in Edinburgh, The portions are generous and the service is very fast!

Generally MK is good but recently had a few bad takeaways which has put me off. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was disgusting and mains just average.

Above average Chinese takeaway. Used proper Chinese vinegar for dumplings and authentic flavours. Above the average in area in my opinion. Everything tasty and quick service too.
