Never normally had a problem here but went in today and ordered a baked potato plus a cheese and onion toastie. The baked potato was cold plus the toastie looked as if it was put in a toaster for a second with a thin layer of melted cheese and chunky red onions that weren’t even toasted with the sandwich plus the toast was cold as well as if they left it lying out for a while before serving it absolutely disgusting

I ordered a large cappuccino an American and a fruit scone. The coffee looked like dishwater and tasted even worse. I was asked if I wanted the scone heated up, which I agreed to but when my wife went to spread it with jam she found it had in fact been toasted. Seriously a toasted fruit scone. Rest assured we won’t be back here.

Shocking food, low quality, no taste, gyle has went downhill big time!!!!!!! Bring back pizza hut, burger king!!!

Low quality food, tired food court although clean and well presented. Limited choice of eateries means lack of competition which doesn't drive standard's.

Without any doubt the worst food my wife and I have tasted. Long wait for the food after ordering, and when it was finally ready, it was warm, not even tepid. The soup was supposed to be minestrone, but in whose universe wants green minestrone soup. The only part of our order that wasn’t disgusting, was the drinks as they sold them, not making them. Would I come here again? No, nope, never, nada, nicht

If you are tempted to have breakfast here then I suggest you don’t- have a roll but unless you really love baked beans then avoid the breakfast as more than 2/3rds of the plate was smothered in baked beans hiding a small hard egg, half slice of bacon, small hard sausage, burnt tomato and a hash brown

Often go here for a sandwich or cake and tea, mostly in the evenings. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food and cakes are good and the service is great. It is really great that 'The Gyle' has a place like this.

I think this place now trades as the Kitchen and I had a really bad experience in this place a few months ago. I don't know if that's improved but I did want to put a review to highlight it to other people. The staff were bullying a younger staff member and it was just hideous and then turned on me when I tried to highlight the issue with them so ended up reporting it to Trading Standards to just get a mouthful back from them personally. Wow. Sorry if it's a different business can't find an update for the new name.

This place has gone down hill, staff rude and unhelpful. My mum asked a women a question three times to be ignored so I went up and got ignored once. So asked louder and a tad more hacked off at this point just to get a dirty look and a shrug. What is up with your staff at the moment and plus your food has gone down hill if it isn't cold it's burnt. The kitchen staff need to get a grip.

Stopped by for lunch. Baked potato was substantial, properly baked and the side salad was good. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Completely recommend the flatbread. I had the fajita chicken and my Mum had the pulled pork. Both were excellent! Staff lovely and helpful, special thanks to Lucy (according to my receipt) who was very pleasant during a busy lunch time.

I bought a chilli chicken wrap from O'Briens and it's safe to say I was very disappointed. It was small, burnt and flavourless. Not worth the £5 I paid. Frankly not worth £1. Small piece of advice - go to McChens next door.

So disappointed I have on and off made purchases from here for years. Recently I have had a baby, it's an emotional rollercoaster. Your nervous of where is baby friendly I was very surprised to learn O'Briens weren't. They are in a food court that's has a family eating area. My friends baby had been screaming and the hot water in her flask used to heat the milk (from the out side - it's instant milk) had for some reason not stayed warm when this upset mum asked for help and if she could have some boiled water (m&s, Costa, starbucks all do this no issues) she was told no they can't give this over. The distraught mum then had to get the cleaners to help her get water. Honestly I understand health and safety nonsense but if M&S etc don't have a issue helping then why do you ? I will never buy from this franchise again. Yes it was only the odd sandwich or cuppa so won't dent your business but I just wouldn't feel ok to support a business that doesn't help out a mum close to melt down.

We use O'briens for our Business Lunches and they are always very reliable and the quality is good
