Came across this delightful tea room out of the blue and was surprised I hadn’t known about it before A pretty little cottage with a delightful garden where there are tables and chairs for when you wish to enjoy the summer weather in charming surroundings It is equally charming inside with a lovely cosy atmosphere with a traditional feel We were greeted with friendliness and warmly by the co owner and offered a table by the window We ordered coffee and then went to look at THE most amazing array of homemade bakes and cakes rarely seen in coffee shops these days ….. we were totally spoilt for choice …… they all looked delicious We settled on chocolate cup cakes and were not disappointed they were scrumptious and the cappuccinos were excellent They offer a lovely lunch menu too with again homemade fare I believe on certain evenings they offer a set delicious dinner which you do have to book for As an aside …. I visited the prettiest cleanest delightful toilets which impressed my high standards I would most certainly recommend this amazing little tearoom and you simply must indulge in one or more of their delicious cakes…

Excellent all round! From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a warm welcome, service with a smile. The cakes looked tantalising but first we took a table for four and started with cappuccino’s for 3 and a latte for 1. All outstanding and served with a delightful sprinkling of chocolate powder in the shape of a heart…when we commented Mr Maggies said “sharing the love”. When the rest of my cousins arrived we ordered the home made parsnip soup with crusty bread and butter and we were not disappointed. It was delicious, and as all the food is homemade at Maggies, I was able to navigate any possible allergens with safety. We eyed up the choice of cakes on entry; coffee and walnut, bakewell cake, Victoria sponge, and carrot cake…once again all homemade. One of my cousins had a coffee and walnut and the rest of us had individual portioned carrot cakes, beautifully garnished with edible flowers. Maggies is the perfect meeting place for friends and family that want to get together in delightful surroundings with fabulous food. I know people will ask, so yes we did pay a visit to the loo, and it was scrupulously clean and a very large room with baby changing facilities too. 10 out of 10 Maggies, we will be back.

I collected our pre ordered treat box today and oh my days, it was delicious and plenty full. We chose to add an extra pie and had plenty of food for our tea today and tea tomorrow.

Arrived in Bradford early on a Friday morning, found this cafe, one of the only ones open before 8.00am. I had the smaller breakfast with toast and tea for £4.00, it was excellent and great value, thank god I didn't have the large one. Will visit again when back in Bradford.
