They microwaved my scrambled egg I was lost for words, when I asked if I was really watching them scramble my egg I the microwave they said they don't have facilities to scramble a egg even tho they have facilities to fry a egg. I just can't

La comida estaba bien presentada, y la salsa pesto era agradable, consiguió la hamburguesa de ternera y Mozzarella y fue casi cremada como se puede ver en la fotografía adjunta, el joven repartiendo el menú y los cubiertos eran educados. Kudos para él. Sin embargo, el hombre que nos sirvió fue increíblemente grosero; Yo había preguntado si era posible tener la hamburguesa de pollo y chorizo sin el chorizo ya que no se recomienda en el embarazo y me da acidez estomacal el servidor se encontró con grosero y abrupto diciendo “no se mezcla” No creo que esa sea una manera de hablar con los clientes por hacer una solicitud que es en relación con las preocupaciones dietéticas. Trabajo en servicio al cliente y probablemente habría dicho “lo siento, está mezclado con la hamburguesa, pero recomendaría ... ” También movió una mesa justo al lado de la ropa que estaba sentada, tengo 8 meses de embarazo y me costó salir de la mesa, mi protuberancia es considerable y definitivamente no salió mal, así que no estoy segura de por qué se hizo esto, no espero un trato preferencial porque estoy embarazada, pero sí espero que un lugar donde he elegido comer sea accesible como mínimo, no se sienta incómoda a propósito. No nos sentimos bienvenidos Había oído cosas buenas de amigos, sin embargo nos fuimos sintiéndonos bastante excluidos. También me gustaría referirme al hecho de que mi pareja fue seguido por el hombre que nos sirvió como si se fuera sin pagar, yo todavía estaba sentado dentro comiendo sin embargo y mi pareja había dejado su teléfono en la mesa conmigo. No estoy seguro de si esto se debió posiblemente al hecho de que mi pareja llevaba joggers, pero si este es el caso, por favor, indique que tiene un código de vestimenta en lugar de hacer que los clientes se sientan indeseables. No recomendaría este establecimiento. Brew con vistas es mucho más agradable y barato y no mucho más lejos y su personal no podría ser más servicial y acogedor, yo sugeriría Brew con vistas en su lugar, especialmente si valoras los modales😊

Bonito pequeño restaurante, el aparcamiento es bastante fácil. A menudo comemos fuera para el desayuno y probar diferentes lugares, así que esta fue nuestra primera vez en Christophe's. El servicio fue genial y rápido el desayuno en general fue bastante bueno! Mis únicos cambios serían tener un embutido de mejor calidad ya que esto defraudaría el desayuno y una mejor tostada cortada más espesa. Dicho esto, volvería con la esperanza de que las salchichas y tostadas mejoren y también recomendaría este lugar a amigos / familiares

This is my fave place for breakfast The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is beyond delicious I wouldnt go anywhere but here and highly recommend it to anyone who fancies breakfast with a French twist Christophe is a lovely bloke and I really hope we get to keep him in our village for many years (and for the eggs bendict I can binge on)

What a fantastic find. Picked out Cafe Christophe from an internet search and what a find it proved to be. Great advantage is that you can book ahead. It’s quite a small place but so warm and welcoming. Christophe looks after us throughout the meal and the service was friendly and helpful even down to making sure my coffee was just the right strength. As a group we had omelette, eggs Benedict and two full English breakfasts with teas and coffees. A total bill of £44 was excellent value. From personal experience the full English with door stopper toast was exceptional value. Lovely thick cut bacon, local sausage and black pudding and home made rosti. Add beans, tomato, fried egg and mushrooms and you have a most wonderful breakfast. Thank you for a lovely brunch, lovely warm fire on a very cold and windy day, good atmosphere, full cafe so that says it all!! We will return, very soon.

This little gem of a place was recommended to us and it certainly didn’t let us down .. the food was excellent and all fresh produce , best breakfast I’ve had in a long time , we will be back ! Oh and the freshly pressed apple juice was delicious too. Thank you

Eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Introduced most of my friends and family the food and atmosphere is excellent. Always book in advance to be sure to get a table.

Had a lovely lunch here, food is lovely and good quality. Would highly recommend. Parking on roads is free. Opposite a lovely sunbed/beauty salon and conveniance store nearby. Restaurant is lovely and clean and staff are lovely and friendly.

Delicious food and very welcoming

What a fab place! Lovely, cosy bistro style with great food on offer. We both had the traditional breakfast, which were fantastic. Everything is cooked fresh, which makes such a difference to the quality. Best mushrooms ever, but no secret other than cooked to order! Would recommend booking, as it was quite busy. The ONLY downside to this place is the size. It's so popular because the food is incredible that you're lucky to ger a seat. The food is quite expensive but is worth every penny. The chicken fajita is beautiful. The service is brilliant. Always happy to see you and very attentive.

Christophe’s is my go to place for breakfast. No matter how hard I look, I can’t find anywhere else as relaxed and where you can sit alone and eat an amazing breakfast with amazing coffee. Lunch is great too. I need to try the bistro menu at some point!!!

After my morning spent volunteering in the Community Library, we met up and went to Christophe's for lunch. I had a filling Chicken Fajita. My other half had the day's special which was a Spinach & Ricotta Quiche with chips and salad and pronounced it to be wonderful. As always, just spot on.

Lovely warm friendly welcome. Delicious food we had the full English breakfast. Great service would definitely recommend.

Dropped in hoping a table for 3 was available, we weren't disappointed. We all chose omelette, best we have had in a long time, lovely brown chips and chopped salad. Beautifully presented. My husband and I have come to Christophes for years now and we have NEVER has a bad experience. You’re always met with a genuine, warm welcome and made to feel so welcome throughout. The food is always freshly cooked and very tasty which nearly every dish able to be made gluten free without any fuss. The whole ordering process is so seamless and allergens are treated without you feeling awkward like in some establishments. What’s even better is that you can always trust that Christophe has some tasty gluten free deserts on hand!! Couldn’t recommend it enough here!

Lovely ambiance, fresh and excellently cooked food and staff are lovely too.We love it.

Visited today as passing and noticed the board outside. Decided to visit an independent place instead of a chain cafe and so we had some food and drink. We ordered coffee , lemon drizzle cake and a halloumi and hummus ciabatta. All the food was tasty and fresh and cooked to order. The cake was moist but the lemon was a bit too overpowering. Maybe a tad less lemon zest next time ? The menu was just the right size and had options to suit all tastes. Also ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was lovely and I believe home made. The food was value for money and would definitely visit again. Luckily found parking on the road which was convenient.

This was my first visit to Christophe's having just moved to the area, and I was very impressed! We didn't have a booking and all the tables had been reserved as Saturday mornings are apparently very busy for breakfast, however, the waitress kindly managed to squeeze us in. The place itself was spotlessly clean, the staff were polite, friendly and efficient, and the food was fantastic. We will most definitely be going back (although I'll be sure to book in advance, next time)!

We- my husband and I, were not aware Christophe's was open late on Friday evenings until tonight. Fortunately we saw the board outside whilst driving past- so very glad we rang to reserve a table. We had the freshest home made Halloumi fries I've ever tasted, with tomato sauce for shared starter, followed by home made Beef Burger with cheese and bacon and a 6oz rump steak with onions and garlic butter, all cooked to perfection and both meals were served with fresh, crispy,and super tasty home made fries and fresh side salad. As it's licensed both meals were washed down with 2 bottles of Taylors Landlord IPA for my other half and a G &T for myself. Fabulous service and super efficient staff - What a lovely way to start our weekend!! Absolutely worth a visit and we will be going again very soon.

Christophe is welcoming. The cafe is cosy. The food is delicious. The experience is fabulous. A brilliant local asset.

My two daughters and I went for lunch after a lovely walk up near Haworth. I think both of my daughters summed up our visit perfectly when they said "This is the best breakfast we have EVER HAD!" I couldn't fault it. The gentleman serving was polite and friendly, and the food was amazing. Not just the breakfast, but also the desserts we ate. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

Lovely little bistro with delicious food.

Wanted somewhere to eat which was more or less the same distance from each of us. Booked at Christophe's for lunch and boy, are we glad we did. The menu is not huge but there is lots of choice and everything looks great. We shared a fish platter as a main and it was absolutely gorgeous. The prawns and mackerel pate were just delightful. The service was good and friendly and the atmosphere is just right. Definitely will be returning to try out more.

Excellent, only about 8 tables so really cozy atmosphere. Food is second to none and freshly cooked using very good ingredients. Always made welcome by Christophe and his team. We are always looking for an excuse to go have breakfast there. Alcoholic drinks are available as well as a special’s selection. Will try getting there for lunch one day soon. Highly recommended.

All my family love this place, best food, posh fish finger Friday is a must try! Breakfasts are a great set you up for the day and his food is always so fresh and tasty. 5* lucky to have such a good cafe in Thornton village.

An amazing little cafe at the heart of the village, coffee and food are always amazing and consistently too! Staff are warm and friendly and happy to help too.

To the person who has posted this comment... (see photo) .... How can you review a place that is closed and closed for genuine reasons. Its a small family business that is trying to keep going after a massive impact over the last 18 months or so... just like many other small businesses.... The owners are hard working and love nothing but serving their customers and catering to customers needs where possible... I think it's out of order for you to rate as 1 star because you got wet when ultimately the owners are a lot worse off then you, having to close when the did not want to and losing out on a lot of business. It is not easy to "get someone to staff the place all the time" .... you can not just teach someone remotely how to do what the owners do day to day... As I have already said this is a small family business and unfortunately they have had to close temporarily and definitely not something they will have wanted to do. I have been going here for years and I really think you comments are out of order. To the business... you are a wonderful small team and your food is amazing. I think most or the village and other visitors will agree with this comment. Looking forward to you being open again and especially for your amazing fish finger sandwiches on a Friday

This Coffee House/Bistro is a hidden family run gem which should always be your first place of choice in this area! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and nothing was 'too much' for them, so pleasant to find these days. Their food was excellent, the portions huge, and so well presented. It was the best Cappuccino I've had in a long time. Nice touches...like the Chef visiting our table to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction (which it was, and moreso!), the Waitress, making sure we had everything we needed, the ambiance... delightful. Even though it's obviously extremely busy at lunchtime with, I think, regulars, we were in no means rushed, which we would have understood. To be honest, even if we weren't planning to be in Thornton, we'd make it our first choice establishment to visit, even if meant a 10 minute drive from the centre of Bradford. However, if you do intend to visit between 11.45am and 2pm, I'd recommend that you phone ahead and book a table, although I'm sure the owners would do their utmost to welcome you to their fantastic Coffee House/Bistro!

Good quality food at decent prices. All home cooked by owner/chef, Christophe. I had a gorgeous halloumi burger and the homemade blackberry cheesecake- made with blackberries that Chrisophe had picked himself...delicious. Friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere, great customer service, food was delicious. Even though the cafe was busy, service was prompt and not a massive wait for your food. There was no rush to move you off your table, even when you had finished your food. Would highly recommend a visit.

What an amazing little place this is! It was extremely busy when we visited but the place is run like a well oiled machine! Gorgeous food, great prices, exceptionally clean & spotless (top of my priorities) fantastic host/chef who is warm, friendly & efficient. What more could you ask for? Called in when passing after seeing the reviews on TA. Nothing impressive from outside but inside you find a small cosy cafe with a log fire. Add a friendly host serving excellent food & going that bit extra with the service if we lived locally...
