As I was waiting on my meal when 3 yobs ran into the joint with sawn of shotgun demanding for my pube

We go to Maggie's every Sunday for breakfast.The breakfast never disappoints.The staff are delightful .the decor is lovely.We have had steak Friday which is also delicious and great Value for money.If you are in area pop in highly recommend.

My wife and I nipped in for breakfast on Tuesday morning. My wife had the French toast which she enjoyed. I had been recommended the eggs benedict, it didn't disappoint. Excellent!

Went to Maggies as a Surprise for my mother in law Maggies is nice and airy with plenty of room drink order in and then the food I opted for the Mac n Cheese the other 3 in the party had Maggie Burger Cajun chicken and Avocado and smoked salmon salad all 4of us really enjoyed our Lunch great service we will go back no problem 10/10

Went with Mum and Dad and it was absolutely delicious! The service was second to none and staff very friendly, food took a little while to come out but they were busy but it was well worth the wait the food was really good

Took them 1 hour to serve 3 main course people who came in after us had food before us . Nobody came near us to top up drinks . As I got up to find out about our food it was served. The food was only okay and to wait an hour and the was it cost excess of £46 just for food we won’t be back and certainly won’t be recommending to anyone. Wished we had gone a few yards down road to the Longhouse won’t make that mistake again . Nobody asked if everything was okay .

Beautifully refurbed and amazing food, friendly staff and great service, would definitely recommend.

We called in by chance in the passing. Although it seemed busy we were seated straight away. The waiter was an older man, very friendly and attentive- was bubbly and cracking jokes. We only got mains but both enjoyed our meals. Had the lasagne and the steak pie. Good sized portions. Reasonably priced. Clean place with nice decor. Glad we called in.

Had breakfast twice now never dissapoints. Lovely decor,service always good too.Food is lovely at reasonable price.

Me and a friend came in for lunch. I had the caesar chicken salad my friend had the cajun chicken pasta, my salad was ok it had plenty of chicken but hardly any salad! More or less you couldn't see it for the chicken It also had way too much dressing but was ok, my friend had said to me about his cajun chicken pasta was a tiny portion but also tasteless slightly spicy but nothing else... he said he wouldn't return either. I also had the buffalo wings which were good and decent portion for the price which was the only saving grace... I know its lunch and I know the excuse is going to be it's a lunch menu but small portions could be a childs portion... 3 stars is fair

We visited for an evening meal mid week. The menu mainly caters for pub grub but has a decent selection. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Crepes and they were delicious! My girlfriend had a pizza, which was massive but a bit on the mehh side.

Stopped by today looking for a light lunch. I'd heard this was a stylish place for good food. It looked ok...was less than half full and we were asked if we had a reservation. A table was 'pointed out' to us. The room was cold and I immediately regretted taking my coat off. It was almost 10 minutes before a waiter came to take a drink order. I asked what wines they had to which the response was Chardonnay, Pinot or Sauvignon (exactly). I was bored by this point and just ordered a diet coke. My husband ordered orange juice. We had a long 5 minute wait for our drinks and after 25 minutes my husband asked if our food order could be taken. The waiter was busy, had two more tables and then she'd get to us.

Food was amazing and was a great price too! They had good vegetarian options too! Staff are pleasant. Place is lovely, cosy and clean.

Absolutely awesome dinner. Hubby's smoked haddock and salmon gratin was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie haggis lasagna. Was so nice to have something veggie. Will be back very soon! Empty dishes all round

Disappointed with the party night. Not well organised. Had to wait over 45 minutes for a drink at the beginning of evening. Meal ok but not very warm and did not appear home cooked. Soup watery and cheesecake stoggy. Waited over half an hour between starter and main course. Would not go back.

My Husband and I went to this restaurant for my Birthday. What a disappointing experience it was. 2 elements of my main course were missing, the dessert was ice cream with a quarter Crunchie bar, the booth seating was broken, the music was very loud, the Ladies toilets had no locks, missing toilet seat, broken tap, no paper towels and was unhygienic. My Husband said the Gents toilet was also below standard and unhygienic. I complained and was not satisfied with their response. I would avoid this restaurant.

Our first visit was after seeing a picture online of a friends delicious looking cajun chicken crepes. I decided my partner and I should go that night, and it did not disappoint. The crepes were amazing, best meal I've had in a while. Normally my partner goes for something completely different but he couldnt resist ordering either and he said he made the right decision. We have since been again for another visit, food has been delicious each time and the girls serving have been very attentive and helpful. We will be returning.

have reported this to management and yet to hear anything back from them. to wait 25 mins for a coffee is a bit ridiculous

Went for breakfast with the family last weekend for the 1st time. I was not disappointed. Food was great, the chef certainly makes sure every plate that goes out that kitchen is too perfection, also member of staff told us he was a perfectionist. Staff are very welcoming and polite. I will definitely be back wether it be for breakfast lunch or dinner. :) Here are some snaps of my breakfast and my daughters pancakes.

The staff were helpful and friendly but the food was disappointing. The prices on their websites are out of date so the menu was dearer than we expected. I had the macaroni and despite their menu saying it was made with mature cheddar, it was tasteless and the pasta was overcooked. My husband had the crepe which was edible.

Visiting the area, called in for dinner, glad we did. Very welcoming, friendly staff, good ambience, varied menu, very reasonable, offer 2 for1 on chicken crepes, excellent choice. Decent bottle of Merlot for £15 then tablet sundae to finish, wow!

We ate dinner here. It is a family owned and operated business. Recently renovated with a modern decor. The service was good. The steak and ale pie was good except the pastry part was dry. The cajun chicken crepes had a good spice flavor, but the crepes didn't add anything to the dish. They have a limited choice of beers on tap, but a good selection of bottled beers.

Recently had lunch at Maggie’s - beautiful interior, looks like a lot of money had been spent on it. Food was delicious and such a great price, 2 course meal available great value but also they didn’t ‘take the mick’ with drinks prices which is great. Staff friendly and efficient - will definitely be back. Thank you!

Popped in here today for a late lunch as we were visiting a couple of warehouses nearby. I was very surprised at how busy it was on a Monday afternoon and the decor is very modern which is so different from the way it’s looked for years. Very nice.

Had a wonderful meal here for a family birthday, great value on beers and cocktails the food was very tasty and fresh

We came to celebrate my daughters graduation. Food and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Had a meal here with thre other people

Ordered a baileys coffee,cappacino and a pint had to go to the bar twice to ask where they were after 20mins surprised the chap from behind the bar came over to our table to TELL us we will get our coffee when the machine was ready as it had been switched off? My friend asked for his pint you will get it when the coffee is ready so all 3 drinks will be ready at the same time??? If they had told us coffee machine was off we wouldve waited we were the only people in the place!!! Or got something else.. what happened to customer service???

Ate here twice whilst visiting friends in Kilmarnock. Food excellent and a great range of drinks. Service really good 5*.

Breakfast was great good value for money all fresh cooked liked how you can choose your own items service very quick and very polite staff will be back

We booked a table on Friday for Friday night. When we arrived we were out at the table right next to the till. The table was wobbly and one of the chairs were broke.

Poor service attitude of server was like she didn’t want to be there. Made us feel unwelcome from the off you can have that table but I need it back for a time given. Pointed to wear we should sit threw menus on the table and walked away. Came back 10 mins later asked if we wanted a drink.

My sister and I called in yesterday we had a lovely meal Debbie and the other girl sorry forgot your name was very welcoming first class hosts. The meal was excellent very good price and quality. I highly recommend Maggie's bar and kitchen

Went for a meal with my husband one Saturday afternoon, I got some kind of pasta dish which was not good at all, my husband got mac and cheese which he seemed to enjoy all in all it was nothing to write home about

Visited Maggie's at the weekend after numerous recommendations about the quality of the food ...And we were not disappointed...our entire meal was outstanding...Plus the staff were very attentive and a really pleasant atmosphere to dine in ...A must If looking for somewhere to eat in Ayrshire....

We had a really nice lunch in here, we just stumbled on it while our car was in for a service at a local garage, it was a pleasant find. There was a really varied menu so something for everyone. Nice decor and surroundings, really modern and colourful.

Booked a surprise party with Kim at the Glencairn suites private hire venue.

Been twice now to Fillet Steak Fridays, fab food for the price. However on both occasions the service hasn’t been great. Certain staff are not attentive and found hard on several occasions to get there attention. They were plenty of bar staff and waiting staff, so we couldn’t understand and it was very busy.

Went to Maggie's on Sunday for a family lunch as a wee celebration for my son's birthday and it was the first time of us being there, my parents in law said they had been before and thought it was good. I myself and my husband were looking forward to it as we have heard several people saying it is good. I have to say we were very disappointed with our experience and I doubt that we will ever set foot in the place again. Service was very poor, waiter had to go and check what the soup was and what the sunday roast was, I have never worked in hospitality before but I know you should know what is on the menu, ordered our food and i ordered Sunday roast after reading online it is served in a Yorkshire pudding. No it is not what you get, you get a few out of a packet roast potatoes, 2 slices of beef, a few carrots and 2 brocoli florets. That is after you are left waiting for your food to arrive and I was left waiting for around 15-20 mins for my plate to arrive while the rest of our family was waiting to start eating their meals that had been delivered to the table. After my mother in law got the attention of the staff, the plate arrived and the staff looked into what happened and apparently the order never went through from the till point to the kitchen. When we were getting ready to pay and leave the restaurant, we asked about the bill and possibly discounting the dish that arrived and was told they can't discount it because they apologised for the issue. A wee discount would hardly have hurt the business and for the price of £99 for the full group that we paid I don't think the price is in line with what is being served and the service from the staff. Very disappointed on our first visit.

Went here for afternoon tea and it was excellent. The sandwiches were really tasty and fresh and the cakes were good too. It was too much for us for us to finish so the staff put the rest in a box for us to take home. I would definitely recommend paying maggies a visit.

Great food and you can park outside or in Lidls car park. Lovely fresh venue and like the wee cubicle to eat in

Having been to Maggies a few times I have to say that this visit was terrible . My starter was potatoe skins , not worth the money . My main meal I asked for peppers I got none . The toilets have no locks . The girl that served us was useless and had no customer service . After our dinner the girls behind the bar turned up the music to the point we couldn’t hear each other speak . I mistakenly left £10 to much . I thought my head was about to blow off with the music so loud . If I wanted to go to a club I would have chosen that . When I paid the bill the girl behind the bar never even lifted her head to say thank you or good bye .

By far the best place I’ve ate in kilmarnock. Having recently moved here I’ve really struggled to find a restaurant here worth the money they’re charging to say it’s been a sore disappointment is an understatement, until I found maggies ! Honestly thee best meal I’ve had in a really long time, portion size was great and left extremely satisfied, I’ve been telling anyone who will listen to give this place a visit ! If your looking for somewhere to go in killie don’t pass this place by. Absolutely delicious.

been here a few times for dinner with the girls and I cannot fault it anymore. The first time I came table service was very slow & we waited a while for our food however now they are on top of everything. They are quick at taking orders, our food was pretty prompt and DELICIOUS!!!!! And the atmosphere was fab! I can’t get enough of the Cajun chicken crepes il be back soon!!

My wife and I really enjoyed the food. The only fault was when my wife discovered all the toilet locks are broken. Speaking to others who have been here the message is always the same, good food, shame about the toilets.

I try many time Maggie,and every time the food is great. Good quality and price,my wife decide take me in the 11 October for my birthday, great surprise when she parking near Maggie! I loved every time and I have explore all menu. Congratulation chef!

Chef works hard you can tell. Little twists on homemade favourites brining things up to date or quirky. Substantial plates that will not leave you hungry as well as friendly, informative service! Started with the monitors followed by Haddock and chips with the most amazing side of fresh caper drsssing. Great space, funky and attentive staff would be perfect for the shared starter and cocktails or celebrate an occasion... fast and friendly but not forgotten!

Was in with friends last night. Service very poor, had to keep trying to attract attention of staff to get served with food and drink. Advertising Prossecco at £15 so we ordered a bottle only to be charged £19 on bill. Think you need to offer the cheaper one if that's what's advertised. Steak was delicious. Asked for Brockmanns gin but again none. Come on you must be asked for it by lots of people. Service spoiled this visit.

Visited on a Friday night for food with the girls for one of their birthdays.

My nephew took us a run in the car a long the coast of ayrshire, stopped at Ayr as they had a air display of jets flying over. It was a lovely day and seeing that was a bonus. For our dinner he took us to Maggie's Kitchen in Kilmarnock. What a meal my nephew said he always takes his friends there as the meals are first class .I had prawn Salad and it was full of prawns delicious.

Heard good things about this place but didn't have a chance to visit.

Was surprised by the decent looking decor but empty feeling of this place.

This was our first visit to this establishment and will not be the last. Service was very good with staff friendly and ensuring all ok. This is a fairly new establishment and everything looks so fresh and clean. Plenty if room for wheelchair to manoeuvre round tables, but it is not fully disabled accessible. There are 2 stone steps at the door which is on the building corner. Also there is no disabled toilet, although we were told that that was going in in January. The food was excellent, tasty and hot. Husband had the steak pie, the pasty was crispy, no soggy underside and plenty of tender steak. Certainly a place we shall be visiting again.

Eaten in maggies kitchen three times now and the food has been hearty on each occasion. The menu is typical pub grub so there is something for everyone..

Went here for something to eat with my friend and it was nice. We had been before so i had something different as i found the Cajun crepes not spicy enough for me but that's down to personal taste. My friend had them and she really enjoyed them (shes not keen on spice). I had the cajun chicken burger which was spicy so it was really good as was the wine. Will definitely return as the food was nice and the decor was easy on the eye and there qas plenty of space between tables and staff were good too.

Why didn’t they renovate the toilets? No locks on doors, broken flush and very basic. Food was great! If I hadn’t visited the facilities I would have given 5 stars. Hopefully they will get round to bringing the loos up to scratch, real shame.

First impressions were very good as the decor is gorgeous and the staff were very welcoming and friendly, we ordered 2 daiquiris (mocktail style) they were amazing, we then ordered food, my friend ordered Cajun chicken wrap with soup, I ordered Cajun chicken wrap with hand cut chips, looked nice on arrival, but my friends soup was really salty, and I sent the chips back as they were limp, soggy and raw in the middle and they certainly weren’t hand cut, well maybe by Mr McCain, the chicken wraps were just awful! The mayo was clearly a budget brand and had a weird taste, so we sent them back, and the waitress said she would take them off the bill, fair enough! We then had some coffee which was lovely, when leaving and paying bill I Noticed the wraps were still on

Came here for a family members 90th. Food overall was pretty good, bit heavy on the salt though chef in the steak pie but the meat was tender and tasty, ps don't cook your pie lids from frozen! Everyone loved the fish, the gammon looked spot on! All staff were really friendly and helpful and to be commended.

Had an enjoyable meal and staff were pleasant. Nicely decorated; but lost a star as toilets really let the place down!

Visited for the first time as we were kindly given a voucher as a gift.

Real chips, real onion rings, freshly made 'proper' cocktails and the steak, unusually, was cooked exactly as asked for, despite two of us ordering differently. The service was absolutely fine for us so no complaints. Well one wee complaint, the music from the juke box was playing at the same time as the DJ so was a bit of a racket...the DJ sorted that out though as soon as we mentioned it so probably won't happen again. We are quite lucky that there are a few good eating establishments about in Kilmarnock, this is one of them.

My wife and I made a late decision to go out for lunch and decided on Maggie's as our restaurant. Couldn't have been happier with our decision. The standard of both the food and service was high whilst the prices were low. Will definitely go again.

We responded to local adverts and tried the carvery. Both my son and i had beef which was fine and the carvery was week priced at £8-50. However, the veg cover was limited and overcooked and the roast potatoes were out of a packet and were tiny. Don't think we'll be back in a hurry.

First time here and won't be the last, premise very clean, staff well very polite, even came to us with a small bowl of soup to let us taste, food was lovely too and very reasonable in price, worth a try if your near it

We visited on the first day they presented their carvery. Surroundings very pleasant. We had booked in advance for the carvery. Not offered starters. At the carvery the plates were cold. There was a choice of ham, beef and turkey. The beef was very well done - would not suit people (us) who like their beef pink in the middle. The ham was very nice. Can’t comment on the turkey as neither of us took it . There was one covered tureen of mixed veg so really there was no choice of veg, but what there was was good. But there was no horseradish for the beef. I think the carvery area was too small to offer a proper range of veg. One course for £8.95. Overall quite good value for money but nothing special. Wine prices were reasonable. Would I go back ? Possibly but only if there were more people to ensure a quicker turnover of meat and veg. But it was the first time this venue has offered a carvery so things can only get better

We called in at the end of January and the food and service was amazing. Passing again this week we decided this was the place to go. Ordered Lasagne as a main meal and wished I had not. A keen fan of Ramsay it looked like the beginning of his show when he tests the meals. Presentation was the worst I have came across. Looked as if there was sick on my plate. It tasted worse than it looked. It was as if it had been defrosted and microwaved. Pasta was soggy and mush. Won't be ordering that again. Service was great. Shame about the food on this occasion.

We were down for a Birthday party and booked into The Park Hotel, but the Blues Restaurant there did not serve dinner until 6pm, so we took a walk into town on this cold breezy day to a pub we saw on google maps, Howard Arms, but their kitchen was closed, we then saw Glencairn Suite across the road and found the lovely Maggie's Bar & Kitchen. We did not have a reservation, but managed to get a table. This was late on a Saturday afternoon, about 4:30pm, the staff were friendly, and we were seated by the window. We both ordered our drinks and meal. We both had Chicken Katsu Curry with boiled rice and nan bread. We did not wait too long, the meal was hot when served (which I like, hate tepid food) this was my first Katsu so did not know what to expect. The meal was lovely, and very well presented. Would definitely recommend eating here. The price was good. Service good. Food good.

Went for lunch 10 ladies, the dining area was cold BUT they did turn the heating up !!!!! services was very slow but waiter very nice !! had to leave without a sweet as we had been in for nearly 2 hours and still not had it. There was only us 10 and another 2 ladies in the place so they were under no pressure.

Met friends here for a bite to eat before the footy.

Visited this new place for lunch and very pleased with the outcome. The place is decorated like a bistro bar with plenty of tables that are not close to each other so you are not listening to others conversations. The menu was varied and although only had soup and a Panini, it was delicious. Service was good and never felt rushed to leave. All in all, a good experience.

Visited with my husband and grandson. The restaurant is very clean bright and nicely decorated. Nice menu, a lot of 2 for 1 deals through the week. 2 course lunch £9.50. We had two soft drinks, glass of wine, chicken crepe, hand cut chips, salad, burger chips salad and a kid's ice cream for £22.00. Service was excellent and toilets very clean. Will definitely go back and would recommend.
