Food is as always amazing and what topped it was the service. The food wasn’t even that slow but they gave us the pudding and starter for free. Love it there

Absolutely smashed it out the ball park, best carbonara I’ve ever had, so creamy, amazing guanciale, so delicious. My friends had an amazing ragu, and we all tried their delicious spritzes. Amazing service from front of house and absolute compliments to the chef.

Really disappointing experience. After seeing all the hype and reading the great reviews we were really excited about going to Magari. With a small menu we had high expectations of exceptional food but unfortunately experienced the complete opposite. Service was slow (even on a Monday evening) and the carbonara was almost inedible. The dish was completely dry, had no flavour and there were about 4 small lardons in the whole dish. All in all, a huge let down and we won’t be returning.

We had a lovely lunch today. Simple menu but excellent food and service.

Magari is my favourite restaurant in Bristol! Really great value for money and exceptional food quality. I’ve been here 7 times and I get blown away by the pastas every visit. The atmosphere is also wonderful, good music and really friendly staff. A no-frills, good ingredients cooked well restaurant. I’d reccomend Magari for any celebration, date, or casual meal with friends. Every single person i’ve been here with always finds it a very memorable experience and is very impressed by the food!

Lovely little nook in a great location, just next to bristols beautiful harbourside. The pasta in this place is absolutely delicious, and the same goes for the bruschetta starter. Tasted very authentic and I can still taste the yummy flavours now. Our dogs were very welcome and had a lot of attention, even a tasty piece of Italian sausage from the kitchen ☺️

This was up there with one of the best Italian meals I’ve had. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was so tasty and really big portion sizes for really reasonable prices. I recommend the sun dried tomato bruschetta and the sausage ragu!

Simple in the best kind of way. Incredible food and a really relaxed vibe. The carbonara in particular was on point. I don’t think I said a single word until I had a clean plate.

Delicious food and wine. Service speedy. Bit precarious perched up on high stools outside but didn’t hinder our enjoyment. Will visit Bath venue next.

Absolutely incredible! Defo try and book if you can as it is very very small inside - I think only about 5 tables total! The lunch deal is a bargain, still such big portions. The tiramisu is the best I’ve had. The sausage ragu as well as the pomodoro are delicious - so fresh and light. 100% recommend!!!

I loved everything about our visit to your restaurant recently. I loved the cosy, intimate setting, the service and the food was delicious. The only slight issue I had was sitting on a bar stool for an extended period of time was quite uncomfortable for my back but that is probably more an individual thing. I can’t wait to come back again. I want to try everything on the menu!

Really nice presented food, and lovely staff!!

We booked a table for 2 for lunch on a bank holiday so it was busy (as to be expected), but given that we only had an hour for a reservation… it took about 15 minutes to have our order taken, then a further 20-30 minutes to have our food arrive, which then only left us about 15 minutes to eat… I had just put my fork down when the waitress came over to ask if we had finished. I said yes (I could have maybe had a couple of more mouthfuls but felt a bit pressured) and then was told that this was good “because to be blunt we need this table”. We received our bill and then it wasn’t explained that we needed to go and pay at the till, so the waitress came back again and basically told us we needed to leave. If you are busy, I am very understandable of that but you can’t expect people to finish their meal in 15-20 minutes and then kick them out.. My friend has been before and recommended this place so clearly it’s not a good place to come to when it’s busy.

Tasty pasta and friendly service, but the food took too long to be delivered. The tiramisu portion is tiny, it is a pity because it is super tasty but does not worth the money for two bites.

My son and partner took me here on Saturday evening (5.4.25). They have been several times but it was a first for me. I’ll certainly be back, when I’m next in Bristol! The very friendly and cosy atmosphere was lovely. The food was absolutely amazing and staff were so attentive and welcoming. It was obvious that they enjoyed working there. Magari’s popularity speaks volumes! Absolutely wonderful!

Really good and fresh pasta. Good sauce. Very value for money as well. The service was also very speedy and attentive. The house lemonade was not that good, a bit on the bland side. But we were there for the pasta, which exceeded our expectations, so we left happy :)

Amazing homemade pasta all fresh and delicious highly recommend and everything came out quickly with only one cook in the kitchen !!!!

Food was lovely. We arrived at 5.30 promptly but because we were last to have our order taken the food was a little late. This resulted in being asked to leave at 7 whilst finishing our dessert. Totally get it's a small restaurant but this spoilt it a little as the next 3 guests are left to stand right by your table given the size of the restaurant.

Food was amazing, really tasty and beautifully presented! Quick service and also really reasonably priced, we were shocked how cheap our meal was. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Only downside is it's a very small place so can feel a little cramped but we managed fine!

Small place but nicely decorated. Recommended to book as it gets busy. The pasta was delicious ( I tried both the ragú and the Alici). The food is cooked fresh. The deals make it so that a plate and a drink amount to £10 which is an excellent value for money. The homemade lemonade was also delicious and I recommend.

Came to Margari in 2024, food was perfect. Came back recently food was uncooked and flavours lacking, was disappointed.

Really cute place serving fantastically simple and delicious pasta! This was out first time visiting Bristol and really glad we discovered this little place. Ideal for date nights, I loved the aesthetic and the ethos behind the ingredients! Would go again.

Magari is such an overrated place to go to. I have no idea why anyone even goes here. When I was walking around the cargo, I saw this nice looking pasta shop which seemed high quality. I was wrong. The place inside had no background music, so I waited for my food in awkward silence. I saw my pasta being made which is one of the only quite cool things here. Once I got my food, it looked quite nice; I ordered the ragu pasta so I guess it always looks nice. But the pasta and the pork was overcooked, and I tasted quite a lot of burnt flavour from the food. Once I took one bite, I threw it away. NEVER AGAIN.

I very rarely leave reviews, but this little beauty of a restaurant SO deserves one. The welcome was friendly and warm, the atmosphere ‘vibrant’ and the food really delicious. We were a family of 5, two adults and three teenagers, all with quite varied tastes. Everyone really enjoyed the food and experience, we sampled three courses and took advantage of the lunch time specials. Everything was fresh, homemade and ‘wholesome’. In a world of fast-food and busy, it was a joy to go back to basics - basic ingredients, cooked well and served in a kind/friendly way. Top marks !!!! 🤩

Delicious burrata and carbonara! But the tiramisu was VERY average and small - biscuits not fully-laden with coffee and a bit dry. Burrata could have done with more bread as well.

Amazing little quaint restaurant. The service was amazing with the staff being chatty and friendly, along with the fact that it’s a small venue, so, it made us feel really accommodated. The pasta, I honestly couldn’t rate higher with lovely fresh ingredients and great taste. Overall a lovely experience all around and I’d highly recommend to anyone that loves fresh and amazing food.

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time, and we are so glad that we did! It’s a small, intimate and warm environment with kind and welcoming staff! They’ve got an amazing selection, and even have such a good lunch deal at the moment - homemade pasta, good drinks and vibe = what more could you ask for?

Limited menu but all the better for it, as it is delicious food, very simply prepared and everything freshly made. Tight space restricts to maximum 3 people per table, with one of 4. Will not put me off returning, though.

Cosy, friendly, relaxed environment serving the best pasta in Bristol! We had the special starter of Burata (I could have happily just had a double helping of that!) served with sundried tomatoes, rocket and a fabulous basil pesto oil. My 2 companions both had the carbonara which i sneaked a taste of, and probably the best carbonara I've ever had. I had the venison ragu which was equally superb. We were too full to have the Tiramisu but they got us some to take away which we had the next day - Divine! Will definitely be back

Really tasty and affordable! Good for a cheap meal out that feels expensive. To be noted very small interior as at Wapping Wharf, so not the place for loud conversation and catching up, but means it has a cute atmosphere

Food was delicious, from the pasta to the tiramisu (and I'm not even a big fan of coffee). It's a lovely little gem and the staff were friendly. I do recommend making a reservation ahead of time, since many people were turned away while I was eating.

Had lunch at Magari on Sunday 12/01 and enjoyed amazing fresh pasta with Alici. Utterly delicious! Will be back!

One of the nicest meals I have probably ever had! I love that the menu is small, and it’s so well priced meaning you can enjoy 2/3 courses which we did! Definitely recommend and I will be bringing everyone I know here!

Magari is a lovely spot with friendly, caring, enthusiastic staff. I recently booked the entire indoor section of the container for a family/friend celebration, and they were extremely professional and kind from start to finish.
