Really lovely Italian food. Would recommend the pomodoro pasta. Super reasonable prices and really good food. Would definitely recommend. Staff were also lovely.

Can't fault it. Crazy good bruschetta, super tasty pasta and well priced spritz. Friendly staff in a cosy setting. Best tiramisu i've had as well. Booking ahead required but well worth it!

Had a great meal with my colleagues and got the £12.50 lunch deal which was great value for a portion of pasta plus tirimasu (!). I got the nerano pasta and the sauce was very tasty and the pasta had a great bite. I'll be back for the anchovy butter one as that one has great reviews!

Hoping after I will, I will be able to change my review for the best! ....... Super disappointing. I wanted to eat here for a very long time and was really looking forward to it.. Honestly it was a very bad pasta, way too soft and swimming in oil. Maybe other sauces are ok but the Pomodoro was not good unfortunately. Great location in the Cargos

Magari is easily my favourite pasta spot in Bristol, always delivering top notch food, service and a casual but intimate atmosphere. Yesterday was my third visit with a group of 8 friends for my birthday. Our waitress Lucy was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed. The chef, Sam, made us delicious food; we particularly enjoyed the courgette and tomato pastas. Not to mention the tiramisu is some of the best I've eaten. Will definitely be back again soon!

Magari is a gem which really does have authentic Italian food! Having lived in Italy and eaten some amazing Italian food, I'm often disappointed with the lack of flavour in some Italian restaurants in UK. However I had lunch with my daughter today and was really impressed by the bruschetta and fresh pasta (con pomodoro). Authentic Italian food - simple with wonderful flavour. The owner was friendly and welcoming too. We will definitely return! 🙂

My partner and I came here for a date night and had an amazing evening, the staff go above and beyond to accommodate and the food is to die for, by far our favourite place in Wapping Wharf, couldn’t recommend it enough! We’ll be back again and again :)

Loved spending my birthday at Magari this week. Amazing service, lovely staff, beautiful interior. Burrata, Ragu and Tiramisu were wonderful. Limoncello shots for my birthday were very special too!

I visited Magari for dinner with a friend recently and the service was fantastic, as well as the food. Lara was very attentive and knowledgeable and our visit was made even better having a server that cares about our experience.

Extremely pleasant experience at Magari! Super friendly and professional staff, great dishes (I went there with an Italian and I’m Italian myself, so this is 100% reliable). We got the Carbonara and Alici (anchovies) and they were both really tasty and well done. Excellent ingredients, which reminded us of home. Highly recommended!

The staff and food were wonderful. It's a small spot and quite loud, but the price was excellent. Shared starter, bottle of wine and 2 mains for £60 is excellent.

Totally recommend. Amazing pasta, bruschetta, burrata and tiramisu. Really well priced for how yummy the food was. What made it even better was the amazing service from the team working - both girls serving were so lovely & attentive.

The handmade fresh pasta was delicious. What let the food down was the sauce. We had carbonara, ragu and the zucchini special. The carbonara was far too wet/saucy with what appeared to be a lack of Parmigiano. After eating there was a pool of creamy liquid in the pasta bowl. Carbonara shouldn't be made like this. The ragu was OK and the zucchini was the best of the bunch but even this was just too saucy, with pooled sauce left over after all the pasta was gone. Personally I could have liked a little more salt in the pasta but that may be personal preference. Tiramisu was also pretty good but portion was half the size it should have been. A minor improvement would be a tiny bit more coffee and alcohol. Otherwise it was top quartile.

We had the best meal at Magari! We were a large booking in for some celebrations. The food was all fresh and tasty, loved the anchovy bruschetta and the ragu was super flavourful. Service was fab too. Thank you for making our evening so special!

I stopped for dinner at Magari whilst visiting Bristol. Although it was nice and very well priced, I did find the portion a little small and service was somewhat rushed. The pasta itself was very tasty and always scores extra marks when it’s homemade - and the sauce had a great depth of flavour. The restaurant was very small but had a nice atmosphere, and was clearly popular with take away orders too. Overall, it was a nice spot for some delicious pasta.

The weekday set pasta lunch was a good value for money meal. The service was impeccable and the pasta was delicious with a decent portion to fill up the stomach. The bruschetta starter was a great way to start the meal.

Came along with my boyfriend yesterday. The staff are really kind and welcoming which you don't often get anymore - they did the small independent place lots of justice. Food was great, well-priced with a cosy atmosphere - will be back fo sho.

A breath of fresh air for Bristol. An amazing space, great service, and affordable good food. While the ragú was somewhat underwhelming, due to a lack of flavour and sauce, their Amatriciana packed a punch, even if the pasta could have done with an extra minute or two of cooking. Great spot for couples and small groups (max 3). Will definitely be returning.

Had the most amazing time here with my family for my graduation day! My sister had organised (all the way from Australia) for a bottle for the table and the staff were so helpful and so lovely the entire time (Especially Daniela) food was also absolutely amazing and overall had a really delightful time! The special pasta of fried courgettes, ‘Sussex Charmer’ cheese, mint oil, lemon, and breadcrumbs was fantastic. The portion was huge and it was only £12.50 - excellent value. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Bristol!

Booked this place for a late lunch on a Tuesday (it fills up fast because there are only about 10-15 seats inside) but they were able to fit us in for an earlier walk-in option. They do have unreserved outdoor tables too. First up, the staff were incredible. Our waitress was very friendly and kind, even though we arrived just as they opened. They were having a bit of trouble with their pasta machine and offered us a free starter for the wait - honestly, we would have happily waited as it wasn't too long, but the bruschetta was amazing. Then our pasta dishes arrived, and I honestly couldn't fault them. Gorgeous ragu with a lovely hint of fennel, and a carbonara with the tastiest bacon. I also ordered the house lemonade and after raving about it to the waitress, she gave me the recipe! I've yet to try making it, but ohhh if it comes out even half as good it'll be my go-to summer drink, for sure. Would HIGHLY recommend this place. Affordable, tasty food with excellent service.

Small but mighty! Awesome, unassuming and authentic. This place has it all. Managed to get a walk-in table and how lucky we were! Knowledgeable but unpretentious service and great food. Love the Italian concept of sourcing locally and adapting recipes to what’s available. Had the special with courgette and orange zest and the ragu. I’ll be back - fantastic job folks!

Such a great place!! Me and my mum came here for lunch and sat outside, though the tables inside looked lovely and cozy as well. We shared three pastas between us and they were all incredible. I am already dying to come back and try the rest of the menu (and the tiramisu!) The service was amazing and so friendly (I believe his name was Anthony!). Super accommodating when we were running a bit late and just really lovely, helpful and cheerful. Will be back!!!

I had to ask menus and order by myself ! The table was dirty, they didn’t clean it ! After 25mn I have to ask again for the drinks: the waitress just brought 2 instead of 3 ! Took 45mn to get our food : I had to yell for that !! The food is good ! Shame on the waitress who ruined our experience : she doesn’t manage anything and she hid herself when I called her with her young colleague !
