3rd visit and a disappointing level of service (slow / missing things / lack of attention) Brings this down for 5 to 3

There's a lot I could say but why bother, it doesn't look like they take action on any feedback anyway. Definitely don't order the tomahawk.

I've been here a few times for cocktails on the roof terrace. The views are stunning and it's somewhere I like to bring visitors. Came by yesterday and the doorman at the lift was dismissive and rude. It left a bad taste and we felt very unwelcome. Hopefully this was just a one off and not the new norm here...

Very slow service, could not get the waitress for a long time to get our order, even though the restaurant barely had any people in (which also was not creating a great atmosphere). The cocktails could be improved, I make better aperol spritz at home.

A great location, with stunning views of St Paul’s but it was rainy day. We ate in the restaurant on the 3 courses. The food was good and so was the service. It was our 51st wedding Anniversary and they served us with comlementry glass of prosecco. DJ and live singer was excellent, providing some great tracks. Overall a nice place and we would visit again.

A great rooftop place. Pretty spacious place with ofcourse a great view to the St. Paul’s cathedral. Has a pretty big bar and cocktails were quite nice. Loved the overall ambience and vibe. When we went it was a rainy day, so couldn’t get super much in the backdrop, but otherwise it must have been very nice. Also have a sitting outside like lounge, so guessing in summers it must be a great hangout place. Food was quite decent too

They converted it to a restaurant and without a bar area for winters, except a small terrace.

A great location, with stunning views of St Paul’s and the city. We ate in the restaurant on the 3 courses for £29. The food was good and so was the service. We then moved to the bar for some cocktails - love the comfy seating and the DJ was excellent, providing some great tracks. I’ve just taken a star off, as there didn’t seem to be any table service in the bar, and it was disappointing to see a 15% service charge whacked on, when I was getting the drinks myself at the bar. I asked for this to be removed, and it was, with no trouble. Overall a nice place and we would visit again - just watch that service charge!

We had an exceptional dining experience at Madison, celebrating a special occasion. From the warm welcome to the complimentary drinks, everything was perfect. The ambience was stunning, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. A special thank you to our server, Jacira, who looked after us so attentively, and to Diva for her hospitality and care. It was such a pleasure to meet Diva in person after corresponding via email—her attention to detail truly made our evening memorable. We can’t wait to return in the near future to try the spring/summer menu. Highly recommend Madison for a wonderful dining experience!

Extremely mediocre food. Staff was very rude. - they told Lithuanian friend she is “basically Russian as Lithuania was part of USSR (very unprofessional) - they shouted at me in Italian (not knowing its my first language) - “Yeah of course close that door!!” Because I didn’t close the door behind me when going to the terrace - 50£ service charge for the worst service in the City. DO NOT TRUST THE FAKE REVIEW AND DO NOT EAT HERE

Fabulous, comfortable restaurant with delicious food. I should add that there is an incredible view of Saint Paul's Cathedral, where you can dine and admire this work of art in the middle of the city. It's worth a visit!

Shockingly rude staff with no interest in listening or resolving issues. Their attitude was downright hostile. Avoid this place entirely.

Couldn’t recommend Madison enough! Sachin, our waiter, was so friendly and made my birthday very special! The food was delicious and everyone that worked there made us feel very welcome. The views of St Paul’s are amazing also!

Purtroppo il cibo non era assolutamente all altezza del conto finale. Non credo che sia " elegante " proporre l acqua del rubinetto...soprattutto se poi chiedi 100 euro a testa per cibo scadente. . Dovrebbero cercare di essere all altezza del roof

In total we loved the place, recommended. For a date night, the music is maybe too loud . The stuff very friendly. The security guy was unfortunately rude.

The place is overrated, I think. It is way too expe3for the quality of the service provided. It is only about the view!

Amazing views! The place got the vibes, DJ, good music, trendy deco… but the food is a let down, it is so average. I don’t mind the prices if you upgrade your chefs.

Max looked after us on the terrace, he was very accommodating and made sure our snacks and drinks came speedy as we had limited time! Would highly recommend!

We accidentally forgot our bag at the restaurant, and Jessica went above and beyond to help us get it back, even though they were on vacation and the restaurant was closed. Booked tickets for NYE that due to unforeseen circumstances could not be used or refunded (and they were definitely not cheap). 1 star for the non-refundable ticket policy and the lack of understanding.

Disappointing experience on New Year's Eve We had high hopes for the Madison Rooftop in London and paid £250 per person for tickets as we thought we would have a great view of the New Year's fireworks. However, when purchasing the ticket, there was no mention that the terrace - which was supposed to offer the best view - would be closed. Despite the high price, the view of the fireworks was nil - we couldn't see a single fireworks display. For this price we would have expected clear information and better organization. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended for New Year's Eve we want our money back!!

A massive money grab, and I must admit I feel a bit like they are professional scam artists. Spent NYE 2024 going into 2025 at The Madison on my honeymoon and was incredibly disappointed. Not at all what I wanted on a honeymoon. The price I paid for entry was the same amount as all inclusive parties closer to the Eye with dinner and drinks. I bought tickets early before the description was on the website (my fault) and assumed it was the same as the other places I had contacted. After looking at the pictures and videos I decided the party here offered a great view and would be a lot of fun. It turns out that not only do they not offer the same level of services as other locations, the photos/video they use for promotion are from a part of the roof that has been closed for a year. So the views you get are not as advertised. The music was pretty much terrible during the party and the DJ was not very good. In fact, I'm not even certain the advertised DJ was the one playing. I had a better DJ at my wedding and that guy was a local person from Texas... They had a brass section playing at the same time as the DJ which was very weird. They were trying to play over the music and by the grimaces on the faces of people around me I don't think many had fun. The only reason none of us left early is because it was NYE and we had all just been swindled out of hundreds of GBP. The food was okay. The steak was rather dry and tough to cut. And at the end of dinner they presented me with a bill that included gratuity for the entire event, not just the cost of dinner. Absolutely absurd. They should be ashamed of themselves. And Visit London should be ashamed for recommending this place on their website.

This place is an absolute scam for their New Year’s Eve party. When prebooking via email and paying over $450 for dinner and the rooftop party they neglected to mention that no drinks other than one small glass of champagne is included. In addition they charged gratuity on the entire price (120 pounds) instead of just the meal. So you are essentially paying over $500 for a mediocre-slightly good meal with a view and to stand in the cold with one drink for five hours. Other party’s of better quality and lower price are available with alcohol included. 10/10 would not recommend. Wish I could give 0/5 stars.

Max was our attendant for the day and he was very kind and helpful. The cocktails were great! Even though we visited in winter we stayed outside and it was cozy and warm. Totally recommending Madison Rooftop!

We were very disappointed with this place. We’d booked it for a family Christmas treat. The service was fine and the atmosphere was quite nice although the windows were steamed up so we couldn’t see the view properly. The food was extremely disappointing. The salmon starter came as a large slice of smoked salmon - at least it was a generous size - plonked on a plate with a tiny blob of sour cream and a miniature chips (they were supposed to be that size but the portion was tiny), I ordered the muffin with smoked salmon. The muffin was really dry and over toasted, I’d asked for the hollandaise on the side, which had no flavour. The vodka pasta was over cooked, and the chicken with waffles had little flavour and the waffles were dry. The 2 course menu was £33 per head which I consider a lot for poor quality food. The only dish that was nice was the beetroot and heritage tomato starter. They added 15% service which I considered too high. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I went to Madison with my team for a Christmas dinner, and it was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was half-empty, and the view—one of the main reasons we chose this place—was obstructed. The dinner itself was very average, and I would never spend £80 on such a meal if I were dining out personally. We were told there would be live music, but there wasn’t. Instead, we were seated at a long table where it was impossible to talk to everyone. The service felt impersonal, like a mass-catered wedding, with plates just dropped off. The atmosphere was cheap—both in decoration and service—despite the ridiculously high prices. To top it off, the drink menu was shocking, with absurd prices that made us question what they were even offering. Overall, it was an overpriced, underwhelming experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Good service and wonderful food. Table of 6, all of us enjoyed the food. Was pretty busy and felt the staff, at times are too busy to provide the service however on a positive, the supervising staff / managers were more than accommodating in taking drinks orders when serving staff where busy elsewhere. I don't think I have been in another restaurant that has visibly taken food allergies so seriously. 2 of our party have minor allergies, all plates for them were clearly checked and marked as safe
