Madha one of the best South Indian and north indian food I had in Glasgow. The dishes were full of flavour ,Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff was happy to help with recommendations. The manager was especially welcoming and made sure everyone felt at home. A great spot for authentic food and warm hospitality. *Don’t forget to try Masala Dosa and Soya varutha *

The staff was very helpful and polite. The yellow Dal was very delicious, the Naan was crispy and upto the mark. A total go to place if you want to eat proper Indian place.

I was looking for authentic Kerala (County is South of India) Food in Scotland and Madha was spot on when it comes to authentic flavour from Kerala. I recommend, Kerala Porota (a spiral bread - you will fall in love with taste and fluffiness) and the beef! If you like fish - try the fish fried in banana leaf! The owner Mr. Joshep is wonderful host and didn’t leave any stones unturned to make our visit memorable. Got nostalgic while I was having the food.

We ate here while visiting Glasgow on 26/4/2025. Our server Dipesh, helped with ordering and the menu. There were four of us and we ordered a lot different dishes to share. The food was outstanding; dosas, curries and vegan options were enjoyed by all. What a pleasant surprise, the best meal had during our stay in Scotland! Kudos to Dipesh and Madha for such a wonderful lunch!!!!

We had the most fantastic meal on our short trip to Glasgow. We were visiting the Barras Market and I was able to reserve a table for 4 of us for lunch. Dipesh was the most welcoming and friendly individual and super helpful with suggestions. My husband and I are vegetarians and our friends are meat eaters and, honestly, everyone loved every dish we ordered. So worth the stop!

14 April was the Kerala festival Vishu. Myself and Susie visited Madha for the traditional Kerala Vishu Sadya. The reception by Joseph was so encouraging and felt like we are in our own home. The service of all the staff was with a smile! The food items served were freshly prepared, Kerala authentic cuisine. We will visit again!

We enjoyed authentic South Indian meals with appam with fish moly,squid fry,kadak chai,beef fry ,chicken dosa,pysum many many more.Thanks to Joseph chetta for great hospitality and Dinesh for damn good kadak chai.Recommend for people love Indian food.

Food is not good to put in mouth. All food is one recipe.. Don't expect Indian style food. Only the tea is cool

Me and My friend went in for a curry takeaway since it was around their closing time but ended up having an amazing full course dinner. The service and food, both exceptional. Coming from the Southern part of India, I guarantee for their authentic Kerala cuisine which I never found anywhere in Glasgow. The manager Joseph made us feel home away from home and we wont forget Deepesh, for his excellent service. Can’t wait to visit and will definitely recommend more people. ❤️

I recently visited Madha in Glasgow and had an amazing experience. I ordered the Masala Dosa, and it truly reminded me of home. This place is one of the best Indian restaurant is Glasgow, which is obviously saying something. Exquisite food, Joseph K Joseph is a legend, and the service is outstanding. Every foodie I know reveres this place. It's a bit of a mystery why it's not always rammed. Go go go.

In Glasgow for a few nights and couldn't find anywhere that wasn't booked up/long wait for a meal. Stumbled across Madha and what a stumble!!! Amazing food, amazing service and amazing price, just all round AMAZING!! (Have I said that enough?) Joseph and his team are so friendly and welcoming, will definitely be our regular in Glasgow now, 5 stars isn't enough.

Went to Madha Kitchen by chance while exploring the lively streets of Glasgow city centre, and I'm glad I did! The restaurant is truly a hidden gem, offering a warm welcome with spicy aroma. The staff were quick in reception, explain about the menu and mentioned that all dishes are free from artificial colours or added preservatives, which made me much happy that am going for an heathier meal. The menu is delightful mix of south and north indian cuisines, I started with crispy dosa with chutney and vada they are much authentic as I had it from kerala. It's clear they take pride in serving authentic and high quality food. If you're looking for an genuine indian cuisine with great atmosphere Madha is the right place to go. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu !

In search for Indian food, me and my mates found the best. Dipesh our server was one of the best servers we had found in a while. He was very helpful and an excellent server. “Ask me as many questions and I will answer every one of them” said he when we were trying to make up our minds to order the amazing food we had. Food was amazing and especially the Malabari Parathas were to die for with the curries to dip and eat. Thanks to Madha and Dipesh for making our experience memorable.

The food was exceptional and the service was fantastic. Dipesh was very friendly and explained the menu in great detail. He recommended the dishes we would like after asking a couple of questions about our pallet. His suggestions were perfect and the food was very good. The food delivery was very quick and we could even customise our food and drinks based on our preferences. Loved this place. Very friendly service and the staff truly enjoyed their jobs. The parathas were absolutely amazing with the lamb gosht. Also, the mango lassi was delicious. Overall the ambiance was amazing. 10 out of 10 recommended.

My brother took me to this restaurant for dinner whilst I visited Glasgow. What an amazing meal. I only eat fish and the owner Joseph was so the ultimate host. When I asked him what he suggested I order he asked what I liked and on his advice I went with the Monkfish Bhuna. It was fabulous! As was the Paratha and Dosa! This is one of those restaurants that you call a diamond! Thank you for such a lovely meal.

Mr Joseph and his team make the best curry in Glasgow if not Scotland. I am gluten and dairy free and they happily cope with that as well as serving up the best curry I have ever tasted. If you haven't eaten here yet, why? Do yourself a favour and get along...

Had gone to Glasgow for a couple of nights for my birthday. Spotted Madha on arrival at our apartments just across the road. It is by far the best Indian restaurant we have been to! The food was amazing, we had dosas for the first time , fantastic! (No photos unfortunately) our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely return on our next trip 😊

After a long drive from the Isle of Skye and not finding many good restaurants along the way, we decided to stop in Glasgow for dinner. We stumbled upon Madha, and it turned out to be the best decision ever! This place is absolutely top-notch. Every dish was authentic and packed with the rich flavors of India. It truly felt like a taste of home. The server, Deepesh, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, making every effort to make the meal worth every penny. And let me tell you, the gulab jamun with ice cream was out of this world! Hands down, it was the best gulab jamun I’ve had in the entire country—absolutely unforgettable. Kudos to the chef and the entire team! Whether it’s the kitchen or the service, everyone at Madha is a true professional in their craft. If you’re looking for Indian food in Glasgow, I highly, highly, highly recommend this place. It’s a must-visit!

Really good restaurant. Service was the highlight. Dipesh explained clearly what we could order given our various allergies in our party. I'm coeliac and all items containing gluten were clearly marked on the menu but Dipesh helps us order exactly the right amount for the 4 of us and even my fussy daughter really enjoyed what she had. He also selected cocktails for myself and my wife that we both really liked. Would definitely recommend and we will return. Probably harshly marking down atmosphere as we were in early today so can't say how it is when it is busier. Expect it will be really good tho.

Was recommended Madha by friends, so four of us went for a late lunch. I ordered the Badshah Ki Khana, my wife had the Lamb Bhuna, our friends had Saag Paneer and Lamb Mappas. We had garlic naan and suriyani fried rice to share. We were offered seats at the window to begin with, fine until the door stuck every time someone came in, not ideal in Glasgow in December. The Badshah Ki Khana was like a starter (£21.99), two of the smallest pieces of chicken imaginable, two lamb chops all tepid, three pieces of monkfish which were cold (I did tell the waiter who was very apologetic and the three were replaced by two, by that time we had all finished our food) The naan was hard and crispy, as far from the soft flatbread description on the menu. All other dishes were passable, not as expected for the price. We did voice our concerns to the waiting staff. The waiter was very apologetic, the waitress couldn't have cared less. Maybe they were concentrating on the large group of customers at the back of the restaurant as our friends had previously enjoyed the food here. We then waited 15 minutes for the bill which was minus the the hard crispy naan bread. Went to Brewdog for a burger and chicken wings. Extremely disappointing, won't be back.

Four of us ate here last night. We were looking for fresh, fragrant dishes that were authentic to Southern India. We weren’t disappointed. Service was warm and friendly and we allowed Joseph to suggest side dishes to accompany our mains. We allowed really enjoyed our dishes and the two stand outs were the monkfish and king prawns mains. Delicious!

Great curry. Lots of plastic packaging though, for the price would expect better. There are sustainable options that can be used.

Had a fantastic meal here last night , food very different from the biog standard Indian food but what makes this place such an enjoyable experience is not just the food but the fantastic service , staff so helpful and knowledgable about the dishes , will defo be back .

My girlfriend and I yearned for a date night and settled on a nice meal at a place we hadn’t been before. Madha was selected after I read an article stating that it was good for vegetarians, and my girlfriend is a meatless wonder. What happened next, shocked me to my very core. The food was absolutely lovely, I had the vegetarian Thali which our server Joseph (more on him later) was extremely pleased to explain to us the different contents of the dish. The poppadoms and chutney were preposterously good, and the lassi a dream to wash it down. I could spend a lot more time talking of the food but I shall continue on to the most endearing part of this quaint little establishment. Joseph, our aforementioned server, was a joy. He was an absolute gentleman and seemed so grateful for our custom. He made the experience absolutely brilliant and I’ll definitely be back due to this. Definitely check this place out, a little gem.

Went to visit and got there maybe 20 minutes before their close time. Felt a little bad but they welcomed me in and said they are regularly open a lot longer. Had a conversation about what we are used to eating and helped pick something we would like but maybe a little different. So very friendly and their food was just all amazing.

Food and service were exceptional. Joseph the manager was extremely friendly and informative about our dinner. Should be way way busier. Will be back.

My first visit to this restaurant last night with friends. It is absolutely wonderful. The service was totally on point; warm, friendly, welcoming. The menu is refreshingly different and interesting. When the food arrived we were delighted. So fresh and tasty, it was all fab. A superb drinks menu for after dinner, nice liquers and cognacs etc. This is grown up curry nights. This was a new experience for me. Most people who enjoy indian food know that what we are generally served here is not the authentic food of India.It is changed to suit our European palettes. At Madha tonight, it was wonderful to dine on authentic dishes with the accent on Kerala South indian cooking. In the depths of the Merchant city on Albion St. such delights can be found at Madha. Sharing the many flavours was a great idea. The quality of the food and the service were both excellent Our waiter showed much patience and was extremely helpful going through this unfamiliar menu After starters, as a contrast we chose, a mild creamy chicken dish and a medium beef dish both were delicious They were accompanied by Chumba rice which is like brown rice but much fuller and fluffier. This is food to take your time over and really enjoy.Our bread was malabary parotta, a type of Paratha, very light and tasty. Overall an amazing dining experience , different from many other establishments i have dined in.Visit with confidence for a great feast of indian delights with excellent service in a peaceful and tranquil. atmosphere.🤗

Just been to Madha,s for my sister in-laws birthday 🎂. Well what can I say. Food was lovely and Joseph the manager was welcoming and explained all our food and spices to suit our pallete. Waiter Daneesh ( sorry if I got the name wrong) was also very efficient and polite. A wee hidden gem that people need to explore you won't be disappointed. It won't be long till I return. Sorry no photos too busy eating and talking lol. Try it you won't be disappointed. 11 out of 10 for me.

Great food, very attentive service. Had the beef Bhuna and the Chicken Makhani both were fantastic. Saw a Dosa on the table next to me, I’m definitely having that the next time I come.

Wasn't sure about the menu items at first as not the usual 'indian" I'm used to and was apprehensive at first. The owner soon came over and introduced himself and talked us through what we were looking for in our meal and very quickly we got our order sorted very easily. The starter was truly an eye-opener into genuine indian cuisine. I was blown away with the flavours in the beef ularthiyathu and the main, lamb nadan addu and the wifes, murg ajari tikka was more of the same. Both simply outstanding 👌🏻. The owner Joseph was first class and a genuinely humble guy who cares about your meal and his staff were in the same illk. It's quite easily the best curry I've ever eaten. Proper traditional food. Will definitely visit again.

We had an incredible lunch here! The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable on the menu and happy to make recommendations. Not just the standard selection of dishes but also more authentic and unusual selections. Incredibly good value for money, portions were generous and we had to take some home! Very clear that the food is made fresh and with love and care, all spices toasted fresh, the flavour was great. The garlic naan even had fresh chunky pieces of garlic 😍 we had a fabulous time, will definitely be back soon! A hidden gem in the center.
