Made in Italy in Kensington and Chelsea

Only got delivery, but honestly it was sooooooo so good…

We went for lunch today and we liked everything, we had a good time. I made the reservation by phone a few days before and they were very friendly, they gave me the table at the window as I had requested, it was my wife's birthday and there were three of us including our daughter. We took an appetizer to share and the very kind waitress who served us accommodated us for a small variation, then the pizza, very good, again we asked if they could be with tomato sauce since they were white pizzas. I repeat, the food was good, the waitress who served us was very kind, polite and good at offering good customer service and she was a little upset at the end because we didn't take a dessert to celebrate with a happy birthday song, but unfortunately my girls were a little tired and wanted to go out, finally the atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately I have to add a negative comment, the bill was not excessive and I would have happily rounded up to leave an extra tip for the service, but I was shocked when I saw that on the bill there were 2 pounds more per pizza to add a bit of tomato sauce, honestly it's the first time I have seen this and I have been working in hospitality for more than half of my life, I would have understood and I know that you pay more if you add other ingredients but not for half a ladle of tomato sauce. Perderai in un bicchierino d'acqua. Those 4 pounds more should have been 5 for the service. I don't understand this policy anymore, it's not all just businesses, or yes for you, but in terms of customer care I was not happy, only for the ending. You probably don't care about me as a customer since I'm not a regular of yours even if I've eaten there several times in the past and if I don't come back you won't even notice. It doesn't take much for a customer to leave happy and satisfied or not.

Great quick pizza with my daughter on Wednesday, didn't book as I had just walked out of Pizza Pilgrims, Offered a table upstairs and had some water and wine within 5 minutes. We looked for an Italian restaurant that was reasonably priced in that area, stopped here and we’re glad that we did. The waitress that greeted us was extremely friendly and found us a table even though we didn’t book ahead of time. The two pizzas arrived really quickly and were great. I would’ve given it five stars, but the edges were a little burnt in places and the crusts are one of my favourite part to eat, so I had to leave a few on the plate. Still, we liked it there and we’ll go back.

We were visiting the area and we wanted to eat pasta/pizza, so we went looking at restaurants and by chance we saw this… As soon as you enter you can see a restaurant that is not very large but very well decorated, and with an incredible atmosphere, they sat us at the table and served us very well, a waiter spoke Spanish which helped us finish planning our day, recommending activities and places of interest, which is greatly appreciated. Regarding the food, we tried the garlic bread, which they present as a pizza (and it was delicious), a “Rigatoni genovese” pasta and a “Prosciutto e crocchette” pizza… INCREDIBLE, the pizza dough made there and cooked in oven gave a delicious flavor, together with the ham and the “potato croquettes” they create an ideal combination if you want to enjoy a good pizza, with respect to the pasta… nothing bad that That is to say, on point and with that meat... I would repeat it 100 more times

Met two friends for lunch on a quiet Wednesday. The chap (Sicilian) who greeted us was so lovely. Two of us are a 1/2 deaf and he immediately turned the music off. He let us sit and chat for hours after our delicious pizzas were finished. Really enjoyed our lunch and being able to relax and chat.

The atmosphere is really great except for the loud tacky music constantly playing. I think this restaurant would greatly benefit from changing their playlist to better fit the relaxed vibe one wants when having lunch.

Lovely restaurant. We sat upstairs on the terrace. Was a bit sceptical due to being the hottest day of the year!, but it was covered and was nice to see over some greenery. The restaurant tried its best to keep it as cool as they could, but it was an exceptionally hot day! We walked from the Natural History museum, and was advised here from their sister restaurant "Mia Mamma" Big menu with some wonderful pizza options. Our waiter was really friendly too! I would advise eating here for an authentic vibe and some pretty tasty food too!

Walked past this spot for years and finally went for a Sunday lunch. Had the bruschetta with tomatoes, ricotta, ham and buratta for starters. Then two pastas for mains. Excellent food and good value too. Great espresso macchiato to finish the meal. Would recommend.

Came here to watch the euros and had a super good pizza proper Italian style and my favourite ichnusa beer from sardinian, couldn’t ask for anything better. The waitress was super gentle and she said that they were short of stuff and that was a waiting time but the pizza came in less than 5minutes. Top service, definitely coming back💯

Delicious truffle pizza, could do with a bit more truffle shavings though - wasn’t very generous. Seafood pasta was average, very little seafood and quality was subpar. Enjoyed the rooftop during the summer!

Good food and good pizza. Nice terrace (would be nice if they opened it up during sunny dry days, not sure if they do that). Service needs improvement, pizzas took>1 hour to arrive. Everything was incredibly slow.

Really nice pizza but such a factory atmosphere which really ruins it. Gluten free dough wasn’t available despite us specifying in our booking that one of our party was gluten intolerant and that we’d be having pizza, and even though it was at the start of the service (6pm)… quite disappointed overall, there definitely are better places to go.

lovely lively place - went out with the family and all meals were spectacular. the pappardelle was fabulous, along with the chicken Milanese, pesto pizza, and funghi pizza. the aperol spritz’s were HUGE! (we didn’t indulge - but a pair next to us had them and they did look fab.

A very warm & inviting restaurant. Rustic & genuine. Our pizza was excellent & authentic. Staff attentive. Our evening was lovely until right at the end when our waitress pretty well insisted that I add a tip (for her) to the overall bill notwithstanding the bill already included an amount for the tip! This soured our enjoyment & I'm unsure if we will now return. Such a shame.

Loved this place! First night in town and we went straight here! The meal was simple yet flavorful and fulfilling. Highly recommend sitting on the rooftop patio.

We haven’t been here for 15 years (we used to be regulars) and thought we’d introduce our children. Attentive staff, amazing food as we remembered and just as good as the pizza we recently ate in Florence. Thank you for Pizza as it should be.

We had pizza Tartufina and Rigatini alla norma - both incredible, the Sardinian beer called Ichnusa was also very good. The service was fantastic: professional and attentive, but not suffocating like in many London restaurants. We really enjoyed our time and will be back!

Delicious bowl of rigatoni with Genovese beef sauce. For my taste, it was a touch too salty (I was reaching for my glass of water by the end of the bowl) but I still give 5 stars because others often prefer more salt to me. Service excellent, and efficient. Lovely stuff.

A big group of us came here for my partner's birthday in early October and had a fantastic time – it genuinely feels like an authentic trattoria, with a lovely atmosphere. The team at Made in Italy were super helpful when I was organising the booking, and on the night they were fantastic – really hospitable and couldn't do more for us. We had the Made in Italy set menu; all of the courses were delicious and there was more than enough for everyone (and this was a group with healthy appetites!). We'd definitely recommend visiting here – we'll certainly be coming back for dinner soon!

Amazing food and outstanding staff! They went above and beyond to offer what we liked. 5 star service. The food felt like a home cooked meal.

I went there today with my girlfriend and at the time around 12:40 till 1:45 we set up stairs in the terrace balcony. The appearance was good however the service was poor . The waitress took out order and we waited nearly an hour for our food to come I approached the manager and waitress only to find she took out order wrong when the restaurant was quiet only 3 tables off customers. The problem was resolved out food came but was not good . They apologised and gave us a discount on the food , as a whole the experience was bad I felt treated unfairly and the energy I felt there was terrible.

Eating at Made in Italy was a very enjoyable experience and the food was exceptional. I ordered a pasta pomodoro with burrata. The pasta had an excellent bite and an amazing texture, as I assume it was freshly made. The sauce was amazing and even better with the burrata on too creating an extra stringy texture. I added some parmesan cheese on top which added an extra pinging flavour in my mouth. This meal was very memorable and I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of it. My sister ordered this dish as well; both our plates were spotless after this meal. My mum ordered a gluten free pizza. The sauce and cheese was excellent, she said, however, the pizza base could be better as it needed to be a little puffier and chewier. But it was a very enjoyable pizza - there was a lot of sauce, the same as my pasta sauce, and a good amount proportionally to the cheese and base. My dad ordered the poletto marinato which was some Italian marinated chicken with roast potatoes. This was some of the best chicken I have ever had. The flavour was incredible and it was cooked really well. The texture was amazing, and the roast potatoes had an amazing crispy coating. This dish was exceptionally good. Overall, the atmosphere was wonderful in this place, very rustic. And the food was incredible: I would 100% recommend this restaurant.

Made in Italy was the place in my 30s. I used to dine there at least twice a week. The atmosphere was amazing. You d feel like you really are in Naples . The shouting and screaming between the kitchen and the waiters. Even the crowd was different. Proper cosa nostra place it was. Haven't been there for ages . This time, I was disappointed. No sign of the old family owned restaurant ambience. Not only that they don't even do the same pizza . Expensive too.

Their rooftop terrace is perfect for summer outdoor dining. Had their truffle pizza with added Parma ham and mushrooms, which was nice overall. The dough was a bit overdone but the quality of ingredients was good. The waitress was super friendly and helpful.

Ordered a Margarita pizza here and it was quite possibly one of the best Neopolitan style pizzas I've ever had. The tomato sauce is rich with flavour and the bread is very tasty. On top of that, they have an excellent rooftop seating area with very kind and polite staff. Highly recommend this place.

I am a moron!! I have been walking past Made in Italy for a long time (double digit years), and I have never gone in. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best Italian in Britain! I had a pasta dish, a pizza, a salad and a glass of wine. I stopped eating not when I was full, but when I started to loath myself, which is a rare bench-mark indeed. I would highly recommend this place… and thank you Romeo for the excellent and positive service.

Il mio compagno ha preso la pasta con i gamberetti e ha confermato anche lui che era davvero tanto buona. Ci siamo finiti per caso, ma è stata una bella scoperta. Lo consiglio vivamente!

We founded this good spot and we sat in the first table by the window.Romeo our waiter looked after us wonderfully.Explained us the history of the restaurant and advised us the best dishes which we enjoyed very much. I had the Pappardelle and it was fantastic and fresh.Thank you for this beautiful experience.

Best pizza in south west London

I’ve traveled all over Italy and have had some of the best food that I still dream about. But when I’m back in london - Made in Italy kings Rd is a must visit. I know it’s a chain restaurant but this location is a standout. The food is top notch Italian from the spices, to the cheese to the pizza and off to the rigatoni bolognese. I was immediately transported to my adventures in Italy after the first bite. And if the food isn’t enough to convince you, the staff - especially Nino, is a star. He’s attentive, smart, an Italian native who ensures your experience from start to finish is amazing and authentic. Their space is fantastic too - an outdoor terrace, great indoor seating and a welcoming bar. Skip passport control. This is the spot.

Been here a while back. Had chicken Milanese which was quite dry and a few drinks. Overpriced place and you only get average food and drinks. Will not be my choice again.

It was the worst dinig experience in London. The staff were ignoring me and were very unfriendly (especially the male staff). It almost felt like a discrimination cause he was checking other tables and not ours, I was the only asian. The food came out too late. We have waited 15min for each dishes. And the food was disappointing as well. And when we were paying, the male staff was calling with his phone and holding a card machine towards us and saying nothing. We said thank you and he didn't even respond. Very very rude. It's been two years since I cam here in London and this is the worst ever restaurant I've visited.

The sourdough pizza is very good, and it's nice to see a vegan option. However, a vegan pasta dish would be a welcome addition. The summer-friendly upstairs terrace seating enhances the overall dining experience.
